E ninguém ficou com ele, quando José se deu a conhecer a seus irmãos. 2 E levantou a voz em choro, de maneira que os egípcios o ouviam e também a casa de Faraó. 3 E disse a seus irmãos: Eu sou José; vive ainda meu pai? E seus irmãos não lhe puderam responder, porque ficaram atemorizados perante ele. 4 Disse José a seus irmãos: Agora, chegai-vos a mim. E chegaram-se. Então, disse: Eu sou José, vosso irmão, a quem vendestes para o Egito. 5 Agora, pois, não vos entristeçais, nem vos irriteis contra vós mesmos por me haverdes vendido para aqui; porque, para conservação da vida, Deus me enviou adiante de vós. 6 Porque já houve dois anos de fome na terra, e ainda restam cinco anos em que não haverá lavoura nem colheita. 7 Deus me enviou adiante de vós, para conservar vossa sucessão na terra e para vos preservar a vida por um grande livramento. 8 Assim, não fostes vós que me enviastes para cá, e sim Deus, que me pôs por pai de Faraó, e senhor de toda a sua casa, e como governador em toda a terra do Egito. 9 Apressai-vos, subi a meu pai e dizei-lhe: Assim manda dizer teu filho José: Deus me pôs por senhor em toda terra do Egito; desce a mim, não te demores. 10 Habitarás na terra de Gósen e estarás perto de mim, tu, teus filhos, os filhos de teus filhos, os teus rebanhos, o teu gado e tudo quanto tens. 11 Aí te sustentarei, porque ainda haverá cinco anos de fome; para que não te empobreças, tu e tua casa e tudo o que tens. 12 Eis que vedes por vós mesmos, e meu irmão Benjamim vê também, que sou eu mesmo quem vos fala. 13 Anunciai a meu pai toda a minha glória no Egito e tudo o que tendes visto; apressai-vos e fazei descer meu pai para aqui. 14 E, lançando-se ao pescoço de Benjamim, seu irmão, chorou; e, abraçado com ele, chorou também Benjamim. 15 José beijou a todos os seus irmãos e chorou sobre eles; depois, seus irmãos falaram com ele. 16 Fez-se ouvir na casa de Faraó esta notícia: São vindos os irmãos de José; e isto foi agradável a Faraó e a seus oficiais. 17 Disse Faraó a José: Dize a teus irmãos: Fazei isto: carregai os vossos animais e parti; tornai à terra de Canaã, 18 tomai a vosso pai e a vossas famílias e vinde para mim; dar-vos-ei o melhor da terra do Egito, e comereis a fartura da terra. 19 Ordena-lhes também: Fazei isto: levai da terra do Egito carros para vossos filhinhos e para vossas mulheres, trazei vosso pai e vinde. 20 Não vos preocupeis com coisa alguma dos vossos haveres, porque o melhor de toda a terra do Egito será vosso. 21 E os filhos de Israel fizeram assim. José lhes deu carros, conforme o mandado de Faraó; também lhes deu provisão para o caminho. 22 A cada um de todos eles deu vestes festivais, mas a Benjamim deu trezentas moedas de prata e cinco vestes festivais. 23 Também enviou a seu pai dez jumentos carregados do melhor do Egito, e dez jumentos carregados de cereais e pão, e provisão para o seu pai, para o caminho. 24 E despediu os seus irmãos. Ao partirem, disse-lhes: Não contendais pelo caminho. 25 Então, subiram do Egito, e vieram à terra de Canaã, a Jacó, seu pai, 26 e lhe disseram: José ainda vive e é governador de toda a terra do Egito. Com isto, o coração lhe ficou como sem palpitar, porque não lhes deu crédito. 27 Porém, havendo-lhe eles contado todas as palavras que José lhes falara, e vendo Jacó, seu pai, os carros que José enviara para levá-lo, reviveu-se-lhe o espírito. 28 E disse Israel: Basta; ainda vive meu filho José; irei e o verei antes que eu morra. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  45 Then Joseph could not refrain himself before all them that stood by him; and he cried, Cause every man to go out from me. And there stood no man with him, while Joseph made himself known unto his brethren. 2 And he wept aloud: and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard. 3 And Joseph said unto his brethren, I am Joseph; doth my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence. 4 And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt. 5 Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life. 6 For these two years hath the famine been in the land: and yet there are five years, in the which there shall neither be earing nor harvest. 7 And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. 8 So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt. 9 Haste ye, and go up to my father, and say unto him, Thus saith thy son Joseph, God hath made me lord of all Egypt: come down unto me, tarry not: 10 And thou shalt dwell in the land of Goshen, and thou shalt be near unto me, thou, and thy children, and thy children's children, and thy flocks, and thy herds, and all that thou hast: 11 And there will I nourish thee; for yet there are five years of famine; lest thou, and thy household, and all that thou hast, come to poverty. 12 And, behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin, that it is my mouth that speaketh unto you. 13 And ye shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that ye have seen; and ye shall haste and bring down my father hither. 14 And he fell upon his brother Benjamin's neck, and wept; and Benjamin wept upon his neck. 15 Moreover he kissed all his brethren, and wept upon them: and after that his brethren talked with him. 16 And the fame thereof was heard in Pharaoh's house, saying, Joseph's brethren are come: and it pleased Pharaoh well, and his servants. 17 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Say unto thy brethren, This do ye; lade your beasts, and go, get you unto the land of Canaan; 18 And take your father and your households, and come unto me: and I will give you the good of the land of Egypt, and ye shall eat the fat of the land. 19 Now thou art commanded, this do ye; take you wagons out of the land of Egypt for your little ones, and for your wives, and bring your father, and come. 20 Also regard not your stuff; for the good of all the land of Egypt is your's. 21 And the children of Israel did so: and Joseph gave them wagons, according to the commandment of Pharaoh, and gave them provision for the way. 22 To all of them he gave each man changes of raiment; but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver, and five changes of raiment. 23 And to his father he sent after this manner; ten asses laden with the good things of Egypt, and ten she asses laden with corn and bread and meat for his father by the way. 24 So he sent his brethren away, and they departed: and he said unto them, See that ye fall not out by the way. 25 And they went up out of Egypt, and came into the land of Canaan unto Jacob their father, 26 And told him, saying, Joseph is yet alive, and he is governor over all the land of Egypt. And Jacob's heart fainted, for he believed them not. 27 And they told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said unto them: and when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived: 28 And Israel said, It is enough; Joseph my son is yet alive: I will go and see him before I die. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Marcos 16 1 Passado o sábado, Maria Madalena, Maria, mãe de Tiago, e Salomé, compraram aromas para irem embalsamá-lo. 2 E, muito cedo, no primeiro dia da semana, ao despontar do sol, foram ao túmulo. 3 Diziam umas às outras: Quem nos removerá a pedra da entrada do túmulo? 4 E, olhando, viram que a pedra já estava removida; pois era muito grande. 5 Entrando no túmulo, viram um jovem assentado ao lado direito, vestido de branco, e ficaram surpreendidas e atemorizadas. 6 Ele, porém, lhes disse: Não vos atemorizeis; buscais a Jesus, o Nazareno, que foi crucificado; ele ressuscitou, não está mais aqui; vede o lugar onde o tinham posto. 7 Mas ide, dizei a seus discípulos e a Pedro que ele vai adiante de vós para a Galiléia; lá o vereis, como ele vos disse. 8 E, saindo elas, fugiram do sepulcro, porque estavam possuídas de temor e de assombro; e, de medo, nada disseram a ninguém. 9 Havendo ele ressuscitado de manhã cedo no primeiro dia da semana, apareceu primeiro a Maria Madalena, da qual expelira sete demônios. 10 E, partindo ela, foi anunciá-lo àqueles que, tendo sido companheiros de Jesus, se achavam tristes e choravam. 11 Estes, ouvindo que ele vivia e que fora visto por ela, não acreditaram. 12 Depois disto, manifestou-se em outra forma a dois deles que estavam de caminho para o campo. 13 E, indo, eles o anunciaram aos demais, mas também a estes dois eles não deram crédito. 14 Finalmente, apareceu Jesus aos onze, quando estavam à mesa, e censurou-lhes a incredulidade e dureza de coração, porque não deram crédito aos que o tinham visto já ressuscitado. 15 E disse-lhes: Ide por todo o mundo e pregai o evangelho a toda criatura. 16 Quem crer e for batizado será salvo; quem, porém, não crer será condenado. 17 Estes sinais hão de acompanhar aqueles que crêem: em meu nome, expelirão demônios; falarão novas línguas; 18 pegarão em serpentes; e, se alguma coisa mortífera beberem, não lhes fará mal; se impuserem as mãos sobre enfermos, eles ficarão curados. 19 De fato, o Senhor Jesus, depois de lhes ter falado, foi recebido no céu e assentou-se à destra de Deus. 20 E eles, tendo partido, pregaram em toda parte, cooperando com eles o Senhor e confirmando a palavra por meio de sinais, que se seguiam. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  16 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him. 2 And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun. 3 And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre? 4 And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great. 5 And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted. 6 And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him. 7 But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you. 8 And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulchre; for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; for they were afraid. 9 Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils. 10 And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept. 11 And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not. 12 After that he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country. 13 And they went and told it unto the residue: neither believed they them. 14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. 15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. 19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. 20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Jó 12 1 Então, Jó respondeu: 2 Na verdade, vós sois o povo, e convosco morrerá a sabedoria. 3 Também eu tenho entendimento como vós; eu não vos sou inferior; quem não sabe coisas como essas? 4 Eu sou irrisão para os meus amigos; eu, que invocava a Deus, e ele me respondia; o justo e o reto servem de irrisão. 5 No pensamento de quem está seguro, há desprezo para o infortúnio, um empurrão para aquele cujos pés já vacilam. 6 As tendas dos tiranos gozam paz, e os que provocam a Deus estão seguros; têm o punho por seu deus. 7 Mas pergunta agora às alimárias, e cada uma delas to ensinará; e às aves dos céus, e elas to farão saber. 8 Ou fala com a terra, e ela te instruirá; até os peixes do mar to contarão. 9 Qual entre todos estes não sabe que a mão do SENHOR fez isto? 10 Na sua mão está a alma de todo ser vivente e o espírito de todo o gênero humano. 11 Porventura, o ouvido não submete à prova as palavras, como o paladar prova as comidas? 12 Está a sabedoria com os idosos, e, na longevidade, o entendimento? 13 Não! Com Deus está a sabedoria e a força; ele tem conselho e entendimento. 14 O que ele deitar abaixo não se reedificará; lança na prisão, e ninguém a pode abrir. 15 Se retém as águas, elas secam; se as larga, devastam a terra. 16 Com ele está a força e a sabedoria; seu é o que erra e o que faz errar. 17 Aos conselheiros, leva-os despojados do seu cargo e aos juízes faz desvairar. 18 Dissolve a autoridade dos reis, e uma corda lhes cinge os lombos. 19 Aos sacerdotes, leva-os despojados do seu cargo e aos poderosos transtorna. 20 Aos eloqüentes ele tira a palavra e tira o entendimento aos anciãos. 21 Lança desprezo sobre os príncipes e afrouxa o cinto dos fortes. 22 Das trevas manifesta coisas profundas e traz à luz a densa escuridade. 23 Multiplica as nações e as faz perecer; dispersa-as e de novo as congrega. 24 Tira o entendimento aos príncipes do povo da terra e os faz vaguear pelos desertos sem caminho. 25 Nas trevas andam às apalpadelas, sem terem luz, e os faz cambalear como ébrios. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  12 And Job answered and said, 2 No doubt but ye are the people, and wisdom shall die with you. 3 But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you: yea, who knoweth not such things as these? 4 I am as one mocked of his neighbour, who calleth upon God, and he answereth him: the just upright man is laughed to scorn. 5 He that is ready to slip with his feet is as a lamp despised in the thought of him that is at ease. 6 The tabernacles of robbers prosper, and they that provoke God are secure; into whose hand God bringeth abundantly. 7 But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee: 8 Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee. 9 Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the Lord hath wrought this? 10 In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind. 11 Doth not the ear try words? and the mouth taste his meat? 12 With the ancient is wisdom; and in length of days understanding. 13 With him is wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding. 14 Behold, he breaketh down, and it cannot be built again: he shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening. 15 Behold, he withholdeth the waters, and they dry up: also he sendeth them out, and they overturn the earth. 16 With him is strength and wisdom: the deceived and the deceiver are his. 17 He leadeth counsellors away spoiled, and maketh the judges fools. 18 He looseth the bond of kings, and girdeth their loins with a girdle. 19 He leadeth princes away spoiled, and overthroweth the mighty. 20 He removeth away the speech of the trusty, and taketh away the understanding of the aged. 21 He poureth contempt upon princes, and weakeneth the strength of the mighty. 22 He discovereth deep things out of darkness, and bringeth out to light the shadow of death. 23 He increaseth the nations, and destroyeth them: he enlargeth the nations, and straiteneth them again. 24 He taketh away the heart of the chief of the people of the earth, and causeth them to wander in a wilderness where there is no way. 25 They grope in the dark without light, and he maketh them to stagger like a drunken man. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦
