mas, ao sétimo, sairá forro, de graça. 3 Se entrou solteiro, sozinho sairá; se era homem casado, com ele sairá sua mulher. 4 Se o seu senhor lhe der mulher, e ela der à luz filhos e filhas, a mulher e seus filhos serão do seu senhor, e ele sairá sozinho. 5 Porém, se o escravo expressamente disser: Eu amo meu senhor, minha mulher e meus filhos, não quero sair forro. 6 Então, o seu senhor o levará aos juízes, e o fará chegar à porta ou à ombreira, e o seu senhor lhe furará a orelha com uma sovela; e ele o servirá para sempre. 7 Se um homem vender sua filha para ser escrava, esta não lhe sairá como saem os escravos. 8 Se ela não agradar ao seu senhor, que se comprometeu a desposá-la, ele terá de permitir-lhe o resgate; não poderá vendê-la a um povo estranho, pois será isso deslealdade para com ela. 9 Mas, se a casar com seu filho, tratá-la-á como se tratam as filhas. 10 Se ele der ao filho outra mulher, não diminuirá o mantimento da primeira, nem os seus vestidos, nem os seus direitos conjugais. 11 Se não lhe fizer estas três coisas, ela sairá sem retribuição, nem pagamento em dinheiro. 12 Quem ferir a outro, de modo que este morra, também será morto. 13 Porém, se não lhe armou ciladas, mas Deus lhe permitiu caísse em suas mãos, então, te designarei um lugar para onde ele fugirá. 14 Se alguém vier maliciosamente contra o próximo, matando-o à traição, tirá-lo-ás até mesmo do meu altar, para que morra. 15 Quem ferir seu pai ou sua mãe será morto. 16 O que raptar alguém e o vender, ou for achado na sua mão, será morto. 17 Quem amaldiçoar seu pai ou sua mãe será morto. 18 Se dois brigarem, ferindo um ao outro com pedra ou com o punho, e o ferido não morrer, mas cair de cama; 19 se ele tornar a levantar-se e andar fora, apoiado ao seu bordão, então, será absolvido aquele que o feriu; somente lhe pagará o tempo que perdeu e o fará curar-se totalmente. 20 Se alguém ferir com bordão o seu escravo ou a sua escrava, e o ferido morrer debaixo da sua mão, será punido; 21 porém, se ele sobreviver por um ou dois dias, não será punido, porque é dinheiro seu. 22 Se homens brigarem, e ferirem mulher grávida, e forem causa de que aborte, porém sem maior dano, aquele que feriu será obrigado a indenizar segundo o que lhe exigir o marido da mulher; e pagará como os juízes lhe determinarem. 23 Mas, se houver dano grave, então, darás vida por vida, 24 olho por olho, dente por dente, mão por mão, pé por pé, 25 queimadura por queimadura, ferimento por ferimento, golpe por golpe. 26 Se alguém ferir o olho do seu escravo ou o olho da sua escrava e o inutilizar, deixá-lo-á ir forro pelo seu olho. 27 E, se com violência fizer cair um dente do seu escravo ou da sua escrava, deixá-lo-á ir forro pelo seu dente. 28 Se algum boi chifrar homem ou mulher, que morra, o boi será apedrejado, e não lhe comerão a carne; mas o dono do boi será absolvido. 29 Mas, se o boi, dantes, era dado a chifrar, e o seu dono era disso conhecedor e não o prendeu, e o boi matar homem ou mulher, o boi será apedrejado, e também será morto o seu dono. 30 Se lhe for exigido resgate, dará, então, como resgate da sua vida tudo o que lhe for exigido. 31 Quer tenha chifrado um filho, quer tenha chifrado uma filha, este julgamento lhe será aplicado. 32 Se o boi chifrar um escravo ou uma escrava, dar-se-ão trinta siclos de prata ao senhor destes, e o boi será apedrejado. 33 Se alguém deixar aberta uma cova ou se alguém cavar uma cova e não a tapar, e nela cair boi ou jumento, 34 o dono da cova o pagará, pagará dinheiro ao seu dono, mas o animal morto será seu. 35 Se um boi de um homem ferir o boi de outro, e o boi ferido morrer, venderão o boi vivo e repartirão o valor; e dividirão entre si o boi morto. 36 Mas, se for notório que o boi era já, dantes, chifrador, e o seu dono não o prendeu, certamente, pagará boi por boi; porém o morto será seu. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  21 Now these are the judgments which thou shalt set before them. 2 If thou buy an Hebrew servant, six years he shall serve: and in the seventh he shall go out free for nothing. 3 If he came in by himself, he shall go out by himself: if he were married, then his wife shall go out with him. 4 If his master have given him a wife, and she have born him sons or daughters; the wife and her children shall be her master's, and he shall go out by himself. 5 And if the servant shall plainly say, I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free: 6 Then his master shall bring him unto the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an aul; and he shall serve him for ever. 7 And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out as the menservants do. 8 If she please not her master, who hath betrothed her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed: to sell her unto a strange nation he shall have no power, seeing he hath dealt deceitfully with her. 9 And if he have betrothed her unto his son, he shall deal with her after the manner of daughters. 10 If he take him another wife; her food, her raiment, and her duty of marriage, shall he not diminish. 11 And if he do not these three unto her, then shall she go out free without money. 12 He that smiteth a man, so that he die, shall be surely put to death. 13 And if a man lie not in wait, but God deliver him into his hand; then I will appoint thee a place whither he shall flee. 14 But if a man come presumptuously upon his neighbour, to slay him with guile; thou shalt take him from mine altar, that he may die. 15 And he that smiteth his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death. 16 And he that stealeth a man, and selleth him, or if he be found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death. 17 And he that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death. 18 And if men strive together, and one smite another with a stone, or with his fist, and he die not, but keepeth his bed: 19 If he rise again, and walk abroad upon his staff, then shall he that smote him be quit: only he shall pay for the loss of his time, and shall cause him to be thoroughly healed. 20 And if a man smite his servant, or his maid, with a rod, and he die under his hand; he shall be surely punished. 21 Notwithstanding, if he continue a day or two, he shall not be punished: for he is his money. 22 If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. 23 And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life, 24 Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, 25 Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe. 26 And if a man smite the eye of his servant, or the eye of his maid, that it perish; he shall let him go free for his eye's sake. 27 And if he smite out his manservant's tooth, or his maidservant's tooth; he shall let him go free for his tooth's sake. 28 If an ox gore a man or a woman, that they die: then the ox shall be surely stoned, and his flesh shall not be eaten; but the owner of the ox shall be quit. 29 But if the ox were wont to push with his horn in time past, and it hath been testified to his owner, and he hath not kept him in, but that he hath killed a man or a woman; the ox shall be stoned, and his owner also shall be put to death. 30 If there be laid on him a sum of money, then he shall give for the ransom of his life whatsoever is laid upon him. 31 Whether he have gored a son, or have gored a daughter, according to this judgment shall it be done unto him. 32 If the ox shall push a manservant or a maidservant; he shall give unto their master thirty shekels of silver, and the ox shall be stoned. 33 And if a man shall open a pit, or if a man shall dig a pit, and not cover it, and an ox or an ass fall therein; 34 The owner of the pit shall make it good, and give money unto the owner of them; and the dead beast shall be his. 35 And if one man's ox hurt another's, that he die; then they shall sell the live ox, and divide the money of it; and the dead ox also they shall divide. 36 Or if it be known that the ox hath used to push in time past, and his owner hath not kept him in; he shall surely pay ox for ox; and the dead shall be his own. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  João 1 1 No princípio era o Verbo, e o Verbo estava com Deus, e o Verbo era Deus. 2 Ele estava no princípio com Deus. 3 Todas as coisas foram feitas por intermédio dele, e, sem ele, nada do que foi feito se fez. 4 A vida estava nele e a vida era a luz dos homens. 5 A luz resplandece nas trevas, e as trevas não prevaleceram contra ela. 6 Houve um homem enviado por Deus cujo nome era João. 7 Este veio como testemunha para que testificasse a respeito da luz, a fim de todos virem a crer por intermédio dele. 8 Ele não era a luz, mas veio para que testificasse da luz, 9 a saber, a verdadeira luz, que, vinda ao mundo, ilumina a todo homem. 10 O Verbo estava no mundo, o mundo foi feito por intermédio dele, mas o mundo não o conheceu. 11 Veio para o que era seu, e os seus não o receberam. 12 Mas, a todos quantos o receberam, deu-lhes o poder de serem feitos filhos de Deus, a saber, aos que crêem no seu nome; 13 os quais não nasceram do sangue, nem da vontade da carne, nem da vontade do homem, mas de Deus. 14 E o Verbo se fez carne e habitou entre nós, cheio de graça e de verdade, e vimos a sua glória, glória como do unigênito do Pai. 15 João testemunha a respeito dele e exclama: Este é o de quem eu disse: o que vem depois de mim tem, contudo, a primazia, porquanto já existia antes de mim. 16 Porque todos nós temos recebido da sua plenitude e graça sobre graça. 17 Porque a lei foi dada por intermédio de Moisés; a graça e a verdade vieram por meio de Jesus Cristo. 18 Ninguém jamais viu a Deus; o Deus unigênito, que está no seio do Pai, é quem o revelou. 19 Este foi o testemunho de João, quando os judeus lhe enviaram de Jerusalém sacerdotes e levitas para lhe perguntarem: Quem és tu? 20 Ele confessou e não negou; confessou: Eu não sou o Cristo. 21 Então, lhe perguntaram: Quem és, pois? És tu Elias? Ele disse: Não sou. És tu o profeta? Respondeu: Não. 22 Disseram-lhe, pois: Declara-nos quem és, para que demos resposta àqueles que nos enviaram; que dizes a respeito de ti mesmo? 23 Então, ele respondeu: Eu sou a voz do que clama no deserto: Endireitai o caminho do Senhor, como disse o profeta Isaías. 24 Ora, os que haviam sido enviados eram de entre os fariseus. 25 E perguntaram-lhe: Então, por que batizas, se não és o Cristo, nem Elias, nem o profeta? 26 Respondeu-lhes João: Eu batizo com água; mas, no meio de vós, está quem vós não conheceis, 27 o qual vem após mim, do qual não sou digno de desatar-lhe as correias das sandálias. 28 Estas coisas se passaram em Betânia, do outro lado do Jordão, onde João estava batizando. 29 No dia seguinte, viu João a Jesus, que vinha para ele, e disse: Eis o Cordeiro de Deus, que tira o pecado do mundo! 30 É este a favor de quem eu disse: após mim vem um varão que tem a primazia, porque já existia antes de mim. 31 Eu mesmo não o conhecia, mas, a fim de que ele fosse manifestado a Israel, vim, por isso, batizando com água. 32 E João testemunhou, dizendo: Vi o Espírito descer do céu como pomba e pousar sobre ele. 33 Eu não o conhecia; aquele, porém, que me enviou a batizar com água me disse: Aquele sobre quem vires descer e pousar o Espírito, esse é o que batiza com o Espírito Santo. 34 Pois eu, de fato, vi e tenho testificado que ele é o Filho de Deus. 35 No dia seguinte, estava João outra vez na companhia de dois dos seus discípulos 36 e, vendo Jesus passar, disse: Eis o Cordeiro de Deus! 37 Os dois discípulos, ouvindo-o dizer isto, seguiram Jesus. 38 E Jesus, voltando-se e vendo que o seguiam, disse-lhes: Que buscais? Disseram-lhe: Rabi (que quer dizer Mestre), onde assistes? 39 Respondeu-lhes: Vinde e vede. Foram, pois, e viram onde Jesus estava morando; e ficaram com ele aquele dia, sendo mais ou menos a hora décima. 40 Era André, o irmão de Simão Pedro, um dos dois que tinham ouvido o testemunho de João e seguido Jesus. 41 Ele achou primeiro o seu próprio irmão, Simão, a quem disse: Achamos o Messias (que quer dizer Cristo), 42 e o levou a Jesus. Olhando Jesus para ele, disse: Tu és Simão, o filho de João; tu serás chamado Cefas (que quer dizer Pedro). 43 No dia imediato, resolveu Jesus partir para a Galiléia e encontrou a Filipe, a quem disse: Segue-me. 44 Ora, Filipe era de Betsaida, cidade de André e de Pedro. 45 Filipe encontrou a Natanael e disse-lhe: Achamos aquele de quem Moisés escreveu na lei, e a quem se referiram os profetas: Jesus, o Nazareno, filho de José. 46 Perguntou-lhe Natanael: De Nazaré pode sair alguma coisa boa? Respondeu-lhe Filipe: Vem e vê. 47 Jesus viu Natanael aproximar-se e disse a seu respeito: Eis um verdadeiro israelita, em quem não há dolo! 48 Perguntou-lhe Natanael: Donde me conheces? Respondeu-lhe Jesus: Antes de Filipe te chamar, eu te vi, quando estavas debaixo da figueira. 49 Então, exclamou Natanael: Mestre, tu és o Filho de Deus, tu és o Rei de Israel! 50 Ao que Jesus lhe respondeu: Porque te disse que te vi debaixo da figueira, crês? Pois maiores coisas do que estas verás. 51 E acrescentou: Em verdade, em verdade vos digo que vereis o céu aberto e os anjos de Deus subindo e descendo sobre o Filho do Homem. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. 15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. 16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. 18 No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. 19 And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou? 20 And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ. 21 And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No. 22 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself? 23 He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias. 24 And they which were sent were of the Pharisees. 25 And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet? 26 John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not; 27 He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose. 28 These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing. 29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. 30 This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me. 31 And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water. 32 And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him. 33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. 34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God. 35 Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples; 36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God! 37 And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. 38 Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou? 39 He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour. 40 One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother. 41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ. 42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone. 43 The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me. 44 Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. 45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. 46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see. 47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile! 48 Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee. 49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel. 50 Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these. 51 And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Jó 40 1 Disse mais o SENHOR a Jó: 2 Acaso, quem usa de censuras contenderá com o Todo-Poderoso? Quem assim argúi a Deus que responda. 3 Então, Jó respondeu ao SENHOR e disse: 4 Sou indigno; que te responderia eu? Ponho a mão na minha boca. 5 Uma vez falei e não replicarei, aliás, duas vezes, porém não prosseguirei. 6 Então, o SENHOR, do meio de um redemoinho, respondeu a Jó: 7 Cinge agora os lombos como homem; eu te perguntarei, e tu me responderás. 8 Acaso, anularás tu, de fato, o meu juízo? Ou me condenarás, para te justificares? 9 Ou tens braço como Deus ou podes trovejar com a voz como ele o faz? 10 Orna-te, pois, de excelência e grandeza, veste-te de majestade e de glória. 11 Derrama as torrentes da tua ira e atenta para todo soberbo e abate-o. 12 Olha para todo soberbo e humilha-o, calca aos pés os perversos no seu lugar. 13 Cobre-os juntamente no pó, encerra-lhes o rosto no sepulcro. 14 Então, também eu confessarei a teu respeito que a tua mão direita te dá vitória. 15 Contempla agora o hipopótamo, que eu criei contigo, que come a erva como o boi. 16 Sua força está nos seus lombos, e o seu poder, nos músculos do seu ventre. 17 Endurece a sua cauda como cedro; os tendões das suas coxas estão entretecidos. 18 Os seus ossos são como tubos de bronze, o seu arcabouço, como barras de ferro. 19 Ele é obra-prima dos feitos de Deus; quem o fez o proveu de espada. 20 Em verdade, os montes lhe produzem pasto, onde todos os animais do campo folgam. 21 Deita-se debaixo dos lotos, no esconderijo dos canaviais e da lama. 22 Os lotos o cobrem com sua sombra; os salgueiros do ribeiro o cercam. 23 Se um rio transborda, ele não se apressa; fica tranqüilo ainda que o Jordão se levante até à sua boca. 24 Acaso, pode alguém apanhá-lo quando ele está olhando? Ou lhe meter um laço pelo nariz? ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  40 Moreover the Lord answered Job, and said, 2 Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him? he that reproveth God, let him answer it. 3 Then Job answered the Lord, and said, 4 Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth. 5 Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will proceed no further. 6 Then answered the Lord unto Job out of the whirlwind, and said, 7 Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me. 8 Wilt thou also disannul my judgment? wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be righteous? 9 Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him? 10 Deck thyself now with majesty and excellency; and array thyself with glory and beauty. 11 Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath: and behold every one that is proud, and abase him. 12 Look on every one that is proud, and bring him low; and tread down the wicked in their place. 13 Hide them in the dust together; and bind their faces in secret. 14 Then will I also confess unto thee that thine own right hand can save thee. 15 Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox. 16 Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly. 17 He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together. 18 His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron. 19 He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him. 20 Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play. 21 He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens. 22 The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about. 23 Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth. 24 He taketh it with his eyes: his nose pierceth through snares. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦

LEITURA Bíblia Sagrada Versão - João Ferreira de Almeida - 2ª edição PT-BR King James Version      Êxodo 20 Lucas 24  Jó 39 LEITURA  10º DIA  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Êxodo 20 1 Então, falou Deus todas estas palavras: 2 Eu sou o SENHOR, teu Deus, que te tirei da terra do Egito, da casa da servidão. 3 Não terás outros deuses diante de mim. 4 Não farás para ti imagem de escultura, nem semelhança alguma do que há em cima nos céus, nem embaixo na terra, nem nas águas debaixo da terra. 5 Não as adorarás, nem lhes darás culto; porque eu sou o SENHOR, teu Deus, Deus zeloso, que visito a iniqüidade dos pais nos filhos até à terceira e quarta geração daqueles que me aborrecem 6 e faço misericórdia até mil gerações daqueles que me amam e guardam os meus mandamentos. 7 Não tomarás o nome do SENHOR, teu Deus, em vão, porque o SENHOR não terá por inocente o que tomar o seu nome em vão. 8 Lembra-te do dia de sábado, para o santificar. 9 Seis dias trabalharás e farás toda a tua obra. 10 Mas o sétimo dia é o sábado do SENHOR, teu Deus; não farás nenhum trabalho, nem tu, nem o teu filho, nem a tua filha, nem o teu servo, nem a tua serva, nem o teu animal, nem o forasteiro das tuas portas para dentro; 11 porque, em seis dias, fez o SENHOR os céus e a terra, o mar e tudo o que neles há e, ao sétimo dia, descansou; por isso, o SENHOR abençoou o dia de sábado e o santificou. 12 Honra teu pai e tua mãe, para que se prolonguem os teus dias na terra que o SENHOR, teu Deus, te dá. 13 Não matarás. 14 Não adulterarás. 15 Não furtarás. 16 Não dirás falso testemunho contra o teu próximo. 17 Não cobiçarás a casa do teu próximo. Não cobiçarás a mulher do teu próximo, nem o seu servo, nem a sua serva, nem o seu boi, nem o seu jumento, nem coisa alguma que pertença ao teu próximo. 18 Todo o povo presenciou os trovões, e os relâmpagos, e o clangor da trombeta, e o monte fumegante; e o povo, observando, se estremeceu e ficou de longe. 19 Disseram a Moisés: Fala-nos tu, e te ouviremos; porém não fale Deus conosco, para que não morramos. 20 Respondeu Moisés ao povo: Não temais; Deus veio para vos provar e para que o seu temor esteja diante de vós, a fim de que não pequeis. 21 O povo estava de longe, em pé; Moisés, porém, se chegou à nuvem escura onde Deus estava. 22 Então, disse o SENHOR a Moisés: Assim dirás aos filhos de Israel: Vistes que dos céus eu vos falei. 23 Não fareis deuses de prata ao lado de mim, nem deuses de ouro fareis para vós outros. 24 Um altar de terra me farás e sobre ele sacrificarás os teus holocaustos, as tuas ofertas pacíficas, as tuas ovelhas e os teus bois; em todo lugar onde eu fizer celebrar a memória do meu nome, virei a ti e te abençoarei. 25 Se me levantares um altar de pedras, não o farás de pedras lavradas; pois, se sobre ele manejares a tua ferramenta, profaná-lo-ás. 26 Nem subirás por degrau ao meu altar, para que a tua nudez não seja ali exposta. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  20 And God spake all these words, saying, 2 I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. 3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; 6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. 7 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. 8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. 12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. 13 Thou shalt not kill. 14 Thou shalt not commit adultery. 15 Thou shalt not steal. 16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. 17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's. 18 And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off. 19 And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die. 20 And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not. 21 And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was. 22 And the Lord said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven. 23 Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold. 24 An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee. 25 And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it. 26 Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Lucas 24 1 Mas, no primeiro dia da semana, alta madrugada, foram elas ao túmulo, levando os aromas que haviam preparado. 2 E encontraram a pedra removida do sepulcro; 3 mas, ao entrarem, não acharam o corpo do Senhor Jesus. 4 Aconteceu que, perplexas a esse respeito, apareceram-lhes dois varões com vestes resplandecentes. 5 Estando elas possuídas de temor, baixando os olhos para o chão, eles lhes falaram: Por que buscais entre os mortos ao que vive? 6 Ele não está aqui, mas ressuscitou. Lembrai-vos de como vos preveniu, estando ainda na Galiléia, 7 quando disse: Importa que o Filho do Homem seja entregue nas mãos de pecadores, e seja crucificado, e ressuscite no terceiro dia. 8 Então, se lembraram das suas palavras. 9 E, voltando do túmulo, anunciaram todas estas coisas aos onze e a todos os mais que com eles estavam. 10 Eram Maria Madalena, Joana e Maria, mãe de Tiago; também as demais que estavam com elas confirmaram estas coisas aos apóstolos. 11 Tais palavras lhes pareciam um como delírio, e não acreditaram nelas. 12 Pedro, porém, levantando-se, correu ao sepulcro. E, abaixando-se, nada mais viu, senão os lençóis de linho; e retirou-se para casa, maravilhado do que havia acontecido. 13 Naquele mesmo dia, dois deles estavam de caminho para uma aldeia chamada Emaús, distante de Jerusalém sessenta estádios. 14 E iam conversando a respeito de todas as coisas sucedidas. 15 Aconteceu que, enquanto conversavam e discutiam, o próprio Jesus se aproximou e ia com eles. 16 Os seus olhos, porém, estavam como que impedidos de o reconhecer. 17 Então, lhes perguntou Jesus: Que é isso que vos preocupa e de que ides tratando à medida que caminhais? E eles pararam entristecidos. 18 Um, porém, chamado Cleopas, respondeu, dizendo: És o único, porventura, que, tendo estado em Jerusalém, ignoras as ocorrências destes últimos dias? 19 Ele lhes perguntou: Quais? E explicaram: O que aconteceu a Jesus, o Nazareno, que era varão profeta, poderoso em obras e palavras, diante de Deus e de todo o povo, 20 e como os principais sacerdotes e as nossas autoridades o entregaram para ser condenado à morte e o crucificaram. 21 Ora, nós esperávamos que fosse ele quem havia de redimir a Israel; mas, depois de tudo isto, é já este o terceiro dia desde que tais coisas sucederam. 22 É verdade também que algumas mulheres, das que conosco estavam, nos surpreenderam, tendo ido de madrugada ao túmulo; 23 e, não achando o corpo de Jesus, voltaram dizendo terem tido uma visão de anjos, os quais afirmam que ele vive. 24 De fato, alguns dos nossos foram ao sepulcro e verificaram a exatidão do que disseram as mulheres; mas não o viram. 25 Então, lhes disse Jesus: Ó néscios e tardos de coração para crer tudo o que os profetas disseram! 26 Porventura, não convinha que o Cristo padecesse e entrasse na sua glória? 27 E, começando por Moisés, discorrendo por todos os Profetas, expunha-lhes o que a seu respeito constava em todas as Escrituras. 28 Quando se aproximavam da aldeia para onde iam, fez ele menção de passar adiante. 29 Mas eles o constrangeram, dizendo: Fica conosco, porque é tarde, e o dia já declina. E entrou para ficar com eles. 30 E aconteceu que, quando estavam à mesa, tomando ele o pão, abençoou-o e, tendo-o partido, lhes deu; 31 então, se lhes abriram os olhos, e o reconheceram; mas ele desapareceu da presença deles. 32 E disseram um ao outro: Porventura, não nos ardia o coração, quando ele, pelo caminho, nos falava, quando nos expunha as Escrituras? 33 E, na mesma hora, levantando-se, voltaram para Jerusalém, onde acharam reunidos os onze e outros com eles, 34 os quais diziam: O Senhor ressuscitou e já apareceu a Simão! 35 Então, os dois contaram o que lhes acontecera no caminho e como fora por eles reconhecido no partir do pão. 36 Falavam ainda estas coisas quando Jesus apareceu no meio deles e lhes disse: Paz seja convosco! 37 Eles, porém, surpresos e atemorizados, acreditavam estarem vendo um espírito. 38 Mas ele lhes disse: Por que estais perturbados? E por que sobem dúvidas ao vosso coração? 39 Vede as minhas mãos e os meus pés, que sou eu mesmo; apalpai-me e verificai, porque um espírito não tem carne nem ossos, como vedes que eu tenho. 40 Dizendo isto, mostrou-lhes as mãos e os pés. 41 E, por não acreditarem eles ainda, por causa da alegria, e estando admirados, Jesus lhes disse: Tendes aqui alguma coisa que comer? 42 Então, lhe apresentaram um pedaço de peixe assado [e um favo de mel]. 43 E ele comeu na presença deles. 44 A seguir, Jesus lhes disse: São estas as palavras que eu vos falei, estando ainda convosco: importava se cumprisse tudo o que de mim está escrito na Lei de Moisés, nos Profetas e nos Salmos. 45 Então, lhes abriu o entendimento para compreenderem as Escrituras; 46 e lhes disse: Assim está escrito que o Cristo havia de padecer e ressuscitar dentre os mortos no terceiro dia 47 e que em seu nome se pregasse arrependimento para remissão de pecados a todas as nações, começando de Jerusalém. 48 Vós sois testemunhas destas coisas. 49 Eis que envio sobre vós a promessa de meu Pai; permanecei, pois, na cidade, até que do alto sejais revestidos de poder. 50 Então, os levou para Betânia e, erguendo as mãos, os abençoou. 51 Aconteceu que, enquanto os abençoava, ia-se retirando deles, sendo elevado para o céu. 52 Então, eles, adorando-o, voltaram para Jerusalém, tomados de grande júbilo; 53 e estavam sempre no templo, louvando a Deus. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  24 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. 2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. 3 And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments: 5 And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? 6 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, 7 Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. 8 And they remembered his words, 9 And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest. 10 It was Mary Magdalene and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles. 11 And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not. 12 Then arose Peter, and ran unto the sepulchre; and stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which was come to pass. 13 And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs. 14 And they talked together of all these things which had happened. 15 And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them. 16 But their eyes were holden that they should not know him. 17 And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad? 18 And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days? 19 And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people: 20 And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him. 21 But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done. 22 Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre; 23 And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive. 24 And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not. 25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: 26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? 27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. 28 And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further. 29 But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them. 30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them. 31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. 32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures? 33 And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them, 34 Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon. 35 And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread. 36 And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. 37 But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. 38 And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? 39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. 40 And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet. 41 And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat? 42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb. 43 And he took it, and did eat before them. 44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. 45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, 46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: 47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48 And ye are witnesses of these things. 49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. 50 And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them. 51 And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven. 52 And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy: 53 And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Ou sabes o tempo do seu parto? 3 Elas encurvam-se, para terem seus filhos, e lançam de si as suas dores. 4 Seus filhos se tornam robustos, crescem no campo aberto, saem e nunca mais tornam para elas. 5 Quem despediu livre o jumento selvagem, e quem soltou as prisões ao asno veloz, 6 ao qual dei o ermo por casa e a terra salgada por moradas? 7 Ri-se do tumulto da cidade, não ouve os muitos gritos do arrieiro. 8 Os montes são o lugar do seu pasto, e anda à procura de tudo o que está verde. 9 Acaso, quer o boi selvagem servir-te? Ou passará ele a noite junto da tua manjedoura? 10 Porventura, podes prendê-lo ao sulco com cordas? Ou gradará ele os vales após ti? 11 Confiarás nele, por ser grande a sua força, ou deixarás a seu cuidado o teu trabalho? 12 Fiarás dele que te traga para a casa o que semeaste e o recolha na tua eira? 13 O avestruz bate alegre as asas; acaso, porém, tem asas e penas de bondade? 14 Ele deixa os seus ovos na terra, e os aquenta no pó, 15 e se esquece de que algum pé os pode esmagar ou de que podem pisá-los os animais do campo. 16 Trata com dureza os seus filhos, como se não fossem seus; embora seja em vão o seu trabalho, ele está tranqüilo, 17 porque Deus lhe negou sabedoria e não lhe deu entendimento; 18 mas, quando de um salto se levanta para correr, ri-se do cavalo e do cavaleiro. 19 Ou dás tu força ao cavalo ou revestirás o seu pescoço de crinas? 20 Acaso, o fazes pular como ao gafanhoto? Terrível é o fogoso respirar das suas ventas. 21 Escarva no vale, folga na sua força e sai ao encontro dos armados. 22 Ri-se do temor e não se espanta; e não torna atrás por causa da espada. 23 Sobre ele chocalha a aljava, flameja a lança e o dardo. 24 De fúria e ira devora o caminho e não se contém ao som da trombeta. 25 Em cada sonido da trombeta, ele diz: Avante! Cheira de longe a batalha, o trovão dos príncipes e o alarido. 26 Ou é pela tua inteligência que voa o falcão, estendendo as asas para o Sul? 27 Ou é pelo teu mandado que se remonta a águia e faz alto o seu ninho? 28 Habita no penhasco onde faz a sua morada, sobre o cimo do penhasco, em lugar seguro. 29 Dali, descobre a presa; seus olhos a avistam de longe. 30 Seus filhos chupam sangue; onde há mortos, ela aí está. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  39 Knowest thou the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth? or canst thou mark when the hinds do calve? 2 Canst thou number the months that they fulfil? or knowest thou the time when they bring forth? 3 They bow themselves, they bring forth their young ones, they cast out their sorrows. 4 Their young ones are in good liking, they grow up with corn; they go forth, and return not unto them. 5 Who hath sent out the wild ass free? or who hath loosed the bands of the wild ass? 6 Whose house I have made the wilderness, and the barren land his dwellings. 7 He scorneth the multitude of the city, neither regardeth he the crying of the driver. 8 The range of the mountains is his pasture, and he searcheth after every green thing. 9 Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib? 10 Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee? 11 Wilt thou trust him, because his strength is great? or wilt thou leave thy labour to him? 12 Wilt thou believe him, that he will bring home thy seed, and gather it into thy barn? 13 Gavest thou the goodly wings unto the peacocks? or wings and feathers unto the ostrich? 14 Which leaveth her eggs in the earth, and warmeth them in dust, 15 And forgetteth that the foot may crush them, or that the wild beast may break them. 16 She is hardened against her young ones, as though they were not her's: her labour is in vain without fear; 17 Because God hath deprived her of wisdom, neither hath he imparted to her understanding. 18 What time she lifteth up herself on high, she scorneth the horse and his rider. 19 Hast thou given the horse strength? hast thou clothed his neck with thunder? 20 Canst thou make him afraid as a grasshopper? the glory of his nostrils is terrible. 21 He paweth in the valley, and rejoiceth in his strength: he goeth on to meet the armed men. 22 He mocketh at fear, and is not affrighted; neither turneth he back from the sword. 23 The quiver rattleth against him, the glittering spear and the shield. 24 He swalloweth the ground with fierceness and rage: neither believeth he that it is the sound of the trumpet. 25 He saith among the trumpets, Ha, ha; and he smelleth the battle afar off, the thunder of the captains, and the shouting. 26 Doth the hawk fly by thy wisdom, and stretch her wings toward the south? 27 Doth the eagle mount up at thy command, and make her nest on high? 28 She dwelleth and abideth on the rock, upon the crag of the rock, and the strong place. 29 From thence she seeketh the prey, and her eyes behold afar off. 30 Her young ones also suck up blood: and where the slain are, there is she. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦
