Estes vos serão imundos. 9 De todos os animais que há nas águas comereis os seguintes: todo o que tem barbatanas e escamas, nos mares e nos rios; esses comereis. 10 Porém todo o que não tem barbatanas nem escamas, nos mares e nos rios, todos os que enxameiam as águas e todo ser vivente que há nas águas, estes serão para vós outros abominação. 11 Ser-vos-ão, pois, por abominação; da sua carne não comereis e abominareis o seu cadáver. 12 Todo o que nas águas não tem barbatanas ou escamas será para vós outros abominação. 13 Das aves, estas abominareis; não se comerão, serão abominação: a águia, o quebrantosso e a águia marinha; 14 o milhano e o falcão, segundo a sua espécie, 15 todo corvo, segundo a sua espécie, 16 o avestruz, a coruja, a gaivota, o gavião, segundo a sua espécie, 17 o mocho, o corvo marinho, a íbis, 18 a gralha, o pelicano, o abutre, 19 a cegonha, a garça, segundo a sua espécie, a poupa e o morcego. 20 Todo inseto que voa, que anda sobre quatro pés será para vós outros abominação. 21 Mas de todo inseto que voa, que anda sobre quatro pés, cujas pernas traseiras são mais compridas, para saltar com elas sobre a terra, estes comereis. 22 Deles, comereis estes: a locusta, segundo a sua espécie, o gafanhoto devorador, segundo a sua espécie, o grilo, segundo a sua espécie, e o gafanhoto, segundo a sua espécie. 23 Mas todos os outros insetos que voam, que têm quatro pés serão para vós outros abominação. 24 E por estes vos tornareis imundos; qualquer que tocar o seu cadáver imundo será até à tarde. 25 Qualquer que levar o seu cadáver lavará as suas vestes e será imundo até à tarde. 26 Todo animal que tem unhas fendidas, mas o casco não dividido em dois e não rumina vos será por imundo; qualquer que tocar neles será imundo. 27 Todo animal quadrúpede que anda na planta dos pés vos será por imundo; qualquer que tocar o seu cadáver será imundo até à tarde. 28 E o que levar o seu cadáver lavará as suas vestes e será imundo até à tarde; eles vos serão por imundos. 29 Estes vos serão imundos entre o enxame de criaturas que povoam a terra: a doninha, o rato, o lagarto, segundo a sua espécie, 30 o geco, o crocodilo da terra, a lagartixa, o lagarto da areia e o camaleão; 31 estes vos serão por imundos entre todo o enxame de criaturas; qualquer que os tocar, estando eles mortos, será imundo até à tarde. 32 E tudo aquilo sobre que cair qualquer deles, estando eles mortos, será imundo, seja vaso de madeira, ou veste, ou pele, ou pano de saco, ou qualquer instrumento com que se faz alguma obra, será metido em água e será imundo até à tarde; então, será limpo. 33 E todo vaso de barro, dentro do qual cair alguma coisa deles, tudo o que houver nele será imundo; o vaso quebrareis. 34 Todo alimento que se come, preparado com água, será imundo; e todo líquido que se bebe, em todo vaso, será imundo. 35 E aquilo sobre o que cair alguma coisa do seu corpo morto será imundo; se for um forno ou um fogareiro de barro, serão quebrados; imundos são; portanto, vos serão por imundos. 36 Porém a fonte ou cisterna, em que se recolhem águas, será limpa; mas quem tocar no cadáver desses animais será imundo. 37 Se do seu cadáver cair alguma coisa sobre alguma semente de semear, esta será limpa; 38 mas, se alguém deitar água sobre a semente, e, se do cadáver cair alguma coisa sobre ela, vos será imunda. 39 Se morrer algum dos animais de que vos é lícito comer, quem tocar no seu cadáver será imundo até à tarde; 40 quem do seu cadáver comer lavará as suas vestes e será imundo até à tarde; e quem levar o seu corpo morto lavará as suas vestes e será imundo até à tarde. 41 Também todo enxame de criaturas que povoam a terra será abominação; não se comerá. 42 Tudo o que anda sobre o ventre, e tudo o que anda sobre quatro pés ou que tem muitos pés, entre todo enxame de criaturas que povoam a terra, não comereis, porquanto são abominação. 43 Não vos façais abomináveis por nenhum enxame de criaturas, nem por elas vos contaminareis, para não serdes imundos. 44 Eu sou o SENHOR, vosso Deus; portanto, vós vos consagrareis e sereis santos, porque eu sou santo; e não vos contaminareis por nenhum enxame de criaturas que se arrastam sobre a terra. 45 Eu sou o SENHOR, que vos faço subir da terra do Egito, para que eu seja vosso Deus; portanto, vós sereis santos, porque eu sou santo. 46 Esta é a lei dos animais, e das aves, e de toda alma vivente que se move nas águas, e de toda criatura que povoa a terra, 47 para fazer diferença entre o imundo e o limpo e entre os animais que se podem comer e os animais que se não podem comer. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  11 And the Lord spake unto Moses and to Aaron, saying unto them, 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, These are the beasts which ye shall eat among all the beasts that are on the earth. 3 Whatsoever parteth the hoof, and is clovenfooted, and cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that shall ye eat. 4 Nevertheless these shall ye not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the hoof: as the camel, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you. 5 And the coney, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you. 6 And the hare, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you. 7 And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you. 8 Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch; they are unclean to you. 9 These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat. 10 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you: 11 They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination. 12 Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you. 13 And these are they which ye shall have in abomination among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray, 14 And the vulture, and the kite after his kind; 15 Every raven after his kind; 16 And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind, 17 And the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl, 18 And the swan, and the pelican, and the gier eagle, 19 And the stork, the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat. 20 All fowls that creep, going upon all four, shall be an abomination unto you. 21 Yet these may ye eat of every flying creeping thing that goeth upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to leap withal upon the earth; 22 Even these of them ye may eat; the locust after his kind, and the bald locust after his kind, and the beetle after his kind, and the grasshopper after his kind. 23 But all other flying creeping things, which have four feet, shall be an abomination unto you. 24 And for these ye shall be unclean: whosoever toucheth the carcase of them shall be unclean until the even. 25 And whosoever beareth ought of the carcase of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even. 26 The carcases of every beast which divideth the hoof, and is not clovenfooted, nor cheweth the cud, are unclean unto you: every one that toucheth them shall be unclean. 27 And whatsoever goeth upon his paws, among all manner of beasts that go on all four, those are unclean unto you: whoso toucheth their carcase shall be unclean until the even. 28 And he that beareth the carcase of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: they are unclean unto you. 29 These also shall be unclean unto you among the creeping things that creep upon the earth; the weasel, and the mouse, and the tortoise after his kind, 30 And the ferret, and the chameleon, and the lizard, and the snail, and the mole. 31 These are unclean to you among all that creep: whosoever doth touch them, when they be dead, shall be unclean until the even. 32 And upon whatsoever any of them, when they are dead, doth fall, it shall be unclean; whether it be any vessel of wood, or raiment, or skin, or sack, whatsoever vessel it be, wherein any work is done, it must be put into water, and it shall be unclean until the even; so it shall be cleansed. 33 And every earthen vessel, whereinto any of them falleth, whatsoever is in it shall be unclean; and ye shall break it. 34 Of all meat which may be eaten, that on which such water cometh shall be unclean: and all drink that may be drunk in every such vessel shall be unclean. 35 And every thing whereupon any part of their carcase falleth shall be unclean; whether it be oven, or ranges for pots, they shall be broken down: for they are unclean and shall be unclean unto you. 36 Nevertheless a fountain or pit, wherein there is plenty of water, shall be clean: but that which toucheth their carcase shall be unclean. 37 And if any part of their carcase fall upon any sowing seed which is to be sown, it shall be clean. 38 But if any water be put upon the seed, and any part of their carcase fall thereon, it shall be unclean unto you. 39 And if any beast, of which ye may eat, die; he that toucheth the carcase thereof shall be unclean until the even. 40 And he that eateth of the carcase of it shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: he also that beareth the carcase of it shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even. 41 And every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth shall be an abomination; it shall not be eaten. 42 Whatsoever goeth upon the belly, and whatsoever goeth upon all four, or whatsoever hath more feet among all creeping things that creep upon the earth, them ye shall not eat; for they are an abomination. 43 Ye shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping thing that creepeth, neither shall ye make yourselves unclean with them, that ye should be defiled thereby. 44 For I am the Lord your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 45 For I am the Lord that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy. 46 This is the law of the beasts, and of the fowl, and of every living creature that moveth in the waters, and of every creature that creepeth upon the earth: 47 To make a difference between the unclean and the clean, and between the beast that may be eaten and the beast that may not be eaten. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Levítico 12 1 Disse mais o SENHOR a Moisés: 2 Fala aos filhos de Israel: Se uma mulher conceber e tiver um menino, será imunda sete dias; como nos dias da sua menstruação, será imunda. 3 E, no oitavo dia, se circuncidará ao menino a carne do seu prepúcio. 4 Depois, ficará ela trinta e três dias a purificar-se do seu sangue; nenhuma coisa santa tocará, nem entrará no santuário até que se cumpram os dias da sua purificação. 5 Mas, se tiver uma menina, será imunda duas semanas, como na sua menstruação; depois, ficará sessenta e seis dias a purificar-se do seu sangue. 6 E, cumpridos os dias da sua purificação por filho ou filha, trará ao sacerdote um cordeiro de um ano, por holocausto, e um pombinho ou uma rola, por oferta pelo pecado, à porta da tenda da congregação; 7 o sacerdote o oferecerá perante o SENHOR e, pela mulher, fará expiação; e ela será purificada do fluxo do seu sangue; esta é a lei da que der à luz menino ou menina. 8 Mas, se as suas posses não lhe permitirem trazer um cordeiro, tomará, então, duas rolas ou dois pombinhos, um para o holocausto e o outro para a oferta pelo pecado; assim, o sacerdote fará expiação pela mulher, e será limpa. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  12 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a woman have conceived seed, and born a man child: then she shall be unclean seven days; according to the days of the separation for her infirmity shall she be unclean. 3 And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised. 4 And she shall then continue in the blood of her purifying three and thirty days; she shall touch no hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary, until the days of her purifying be fulfilled. 5 But if she bear a maid child, then she shall be unclean two weeks, as in her separation: and she shall continue in the blood of her purifying threescore and six days. 6 And when the days of her purifying are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtledove, for a sin offering, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest: 7 Who shall offer it before the Lord, and make an atonement for her; and she shall be cleansed from the issue of her blood. This is the law for her that hath born a male or a female. 8 And if she be not able to bring a lamb, then she shall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons; the one for the burnt offering, and the other for a sin offering: and the priest shall make an atonement for her, and she shall be clean. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Salmos 13 1 Até quando, SENHOR? Esquecer-te-ás de mim para sempre? Até quando ocultarás de mim o rosto? 2 Até quando estarei eu relutando dentro de minha alma, com tristeza no coração cada dia? Até quando se erguerá contra mim o meu inimigo? 3 Atenta para mim, responde-me, SENHOR, Deus meu! Ilumina-me os olhos, para que eu não durma o sono da morte; 4 para que não diga o meu inimigo: Prevaleci contra ele; e não se regozijem os meus adversários, vindo eu a vacilar. 5 No tocante a mim, confio na tua graça; regozije-se o meu coração na tua salvação. 6 Cantarei ao SENHOR, porquanto me tem feito muito bem. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  13 How long wilt thou forget me, O Lord? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me? 2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me? 3 Consider and hear me, O Lord my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death; 4 Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved. 5 But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. 6 I will sing unto the Lord, because he hath dealt bountifully with me. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Salmos 14 1 Diz o insensato no seu coração: Não há Deus. Corrompem-se e praticam abominação; já não há quem faça o bem. 2 Do céu olha o SENHOR para os filhos dos homens, para ver se há quem entenda, se há quem busque a Deus. 3 Todos se extraviaram e juntamente se corromperam; não há quem faça o bem, não há nem um sequer. 4 Acaso, não entendem todos os obreiros da iniqüidade, que devoram o meu povo, como quem come pão, que não invocam o SENHOR? 5 Tomar-se-ão de grande pavor, porque Deus está com a linhagem do justo. 6 Meteis a ridículo o conselho dos humildes, mas o SENHOR é o seu refúgio. 7 Tomara de Sião viesse já a salvação de Israel! Quando o SENHOR restaurar a sorte do seu povo, então, exultará Jacó, e Israel se alegrará. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  14 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. 2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. 3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one. 4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the Lord. 5 There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous. 6 Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the Lord is his refuge. 7 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the Lord bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Provérbios 26 1 Como a neve no verão e como a chuva na ceifa, assim, a honra não convém ao insensato. 2 Como o pássaro que foge, como a andorinha no seu vôo, assim, a maldição sem causa não se cumpre. 3 O açoite é para o cavalo, o freio, para o jumento, e a vara, para as costas dos insensatos. 4 Não respondas ao insensato segundo a sua estultícia, para que não te faças semelhante a ele. 5 Ao insensato responde segundo a sua estultícia, para que não seja ele sábio aos seus próprios olhos. 6 Os pés corta e o dano sofre quem manda mensagens por intermédio do insensato. 7 As pernas do coxo pendem bambas; assim é o provérbio na boca dos insensatos. 8 Como o que atira pedra preciosa num montão de ruínas, assim é o que dá honra ao insensato. 9 Como galho de espinhos na mão do bêbado, assim é o provérbio na boca dos insensatos. 10 Como um flecheiro que a todos fere, assim é o que assalaria os insensatos e os transgressores. 11 Como o cão que torna ao seu vômito, assim é o insensato que reitera a sua estultícia. 12 Tens visto a um homem que é sábio a seus próprios olhos? Maior esperança há no insensato do que nele. 13 Diz o preguiçoso: Um leão está no caminho; um leão está nas ruas. 14 Como a porta se revolve nos seus gonzos, assim, o preguiçoso, no seu leito. 15 O preguiçoso mete a mão no prato e não quer ter o trabalho de a levar à boca. 16 Mais sábio é o preguiçoso a seus próprios olhos do que sete homens que sabem responder bem. 17 Quem se mete em questão alheia é como aquele que toma pelas orelhas um cão que passa. 18 Como o louco que lança fogo, flechas e morte, 19 assim é o homem que engana a seu próximo e diz: Fiz isso por brincadeira. 20 Sem lenha, o fogo se apaga; e, não havendo maldizente, cessa a contenda. 21 Como o carvão é para a brasa, e a lenha, para o fogo, assim é o homem contencioso para acender rixas. 22 As palavras do maldizente são comida fina, que desce para o mais interior do ventre. 23 Como vaso de barro coberto de escórias de prata, assim são os lábios amorosos e o coração maligno. 24 Aquele que aborrece dissimula com os lábios, mas no íntimo encobre o engano; 25 quando te falar suavemente, não te fies nele, porque sete abominações há no seu coração. 26 Ainda que o seu ódio se encobre com engano, a sua malícia se descobrirá publicamente. 27 Quem abre uma cova nela cairá; e a pedra rolará sobre quem a revolve. 28 A língua falsa aborrece a quem feriu, e a boca lisonjeira é causa de ruína. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  26 As snow in summer, and as rain in harvest, so honour is not seemly for a fool. 2 As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come. 3 A whip for the horse, a bridle for the ass, and a rod for the fool's back. 4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him. 5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit. 6 He that sendeth a message by the hand of a fool cutteth off the feet, and drinketh damage. 7 The legs of the lame are not equal: so is a parable in the mouth of fools. 8 As he that bindeth a stone in a sling, so is he that giveth honour to a fool. 9 As a thorn goeth up into the hand of a drunkard, so is a parable in the mouths of fools. 10 The great God that formed all things both rewardeth the fool, and rewardeth transgressors. 11 As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly. 12 Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him. 13 The slothful man saith, There is a lion in the way; a lion is in the streets. 14 As the door turneth upon his hinges, so doth the slothful upon his bed. 15 The slothful hideth his hand in his bosom; it grieveth him to bring it again to his mouth. 16 The sluggard is wiser in his own conceit than seven men that can render a reason. 17 He that passeth by, and meddleth with strife belonging not to him, is like one that taketh a dog by the ears. 18 As a mad man who casteth firebrands, arrows, and death, 19 So is the man that deceiveth his neighbour, and saith, Am not I in sport? 20 Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth. 21 As coals are to burning coals, and wood to fire; so is a contentious man to kindle strife. 22 The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly. 23 Burning lips and a wicked heart are like a potsherd covered with silver dross. 24 He that hateth dissembleth with his lips, and layeth up deceit within him; 25 When he speaketh fair, believe him not: for there are seven abominations in his heart. 26 Whose hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness shall be shewed before the whole congregation. 27 Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him. 28 A lying tongue hateth those that are afflicted by it; and a flattering mouth worketh ruin. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦
