Gênesis 6
1 Como se foram multiplicando os homens na terra, e lhes nasceram filhas,
2 vendo os filhos de Deus que as filhas dos homens eram formosas, tomaram para si mulheres, as que, entre todas, mais lhes agradaram.
3 Então, disse o SENHOR: O meu Espírito não agirá para sempre no homem, pois este é carnal; e os seus dias serão cento e vinte anos.
4 Ora, naquele tempo havia gigantes na terra; e também depois, quando os filhos de Deus possuíram as filhas dos homens, as quais lhes deram filhos; estes foram valentes, varões de renome, na antiguidade.
5 Viu o SENHOR que a maldade do homem se havia multiplicado na terra e que era continuamente mau todo desígnio do seu coração;
6 então, se arrependeu o SENHOR de ter feito o homem na terra, e isso lhe pesou no coração.
7 Disse o SENHOR: Farei desaparecer da face da terra o homem que criei, o homem e o animal, os répteis e as aves dos céus; porque me arrependo de os haver feito.
8 Porém Noé achou graça diante do SENHOR.
9 Eis a história de Noé. Noé era homem justo e íntegro entre os seus contemporâneos; Noé andava com Deus.
10 Gerou três filhos: Sem, Cam e Jafé.
11 A terra estava corrompida à vista de Deus e cheia de violência.
12 Viu Deus a terra, e eis que estava corrompida; porque todo ser vivente havia corrompido o seu caminho na terra.
13 Então, disse Deus a Noé: Resolvi dar cabo de toda carne, porque a terra está cheia da violência dos homens; eis que os farei perecer juntamente com a terra.
14 Faze uma arca de tábuas de cipreste; nela farás compartimentos e a calafetarás com betume por dentro e por fora.
15 Deste modo a farás: de trezentos côvados será o comprimento; de cinqüenta, a largura; e a altura, de trinta.
16 Farás ao seu redor uma abertura de um côvado de altura; a porta da arca colocarás lateralmente; farás pavimentos na arca: um em baixo, um segundo e um terceiro.
17 Porque estou para derramar águas em dilúvio sobre a terra para consumir toda carne em que há fôlego de vida debaixo dos céus; tudo o que há na terra perecerá.
18 Contigo, porém, estabelecerei a minha aliança; entrarás na arca, tu e teus filhos, e tua mulher, e as mulheres de teus filhos.
19 De tudo o que vive, de toda carne, dois de cada espécie, macho e fêmea, farás entrar na arca, para os conservares vivos contigo.
20 Das aves segundo as suas espécies, do gado segundo as suas espécies, de todo réptil da terra segundo as suas espécies, dois de cada espécie virão a ti, para os conservares em vida.
21 Leva contigo de tudo o que se come, ajunta-o contigo; ser-te-á para alimento, a ti e a eles.
22 Assim fez Noé, consoante a tudo o que Deus lhe ordenara.

6 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
7 And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.
10 And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.
15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
16 A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.
17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.
18 But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.
19 And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.
20 Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.
21 And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them.
22 Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.

Mateus 5
1 Vendo Jesus as multidões, subiu ao monte, e, como se assentasse, aproximaram-se os seus discípulos;
2 e ele passou a ensiná-los, dizendo:
3 Bem-aventurados os humildes de espírito, porque deles é o reino dos céus.
4 Bem-aventurados os que choram, porque serão consolados.
5 Bem-aventurados os mansos, porque herdarão a terra.
6 Bem-aventurados os que têm fome e sede de justiça, porque serão fartos.
7 Bem-aventurados os misericordiosos, porque alcançarão misericórdia.
8 Bem-aventurados os limpos de coração, porque verão a Deus.
9 Bem-aventurados os pacificadores, porque serão chamados filhos de Deus.
10 Bem-aventurados os perseguidos por causa da justiça, porque deles é o reino dos céus.
11 Bem-aventurados sois quando, por minha causa, vos injuriarem, e vos perseguirem, e, mentindo, disserem todo mal contra vós.
12 Regozijai-vos e exultai, porque é grande o vosso galardão nos céus; pois assim perseguiram aos profetas que viveram antes de vós.
13 Vós sois o sal da terra; ora, se o sal vier a ser insípido, como lhe restaurar o sabor? Para nada mais presta senão para, lançado fora, ser pisado pelos homens.
14 Vós sois a luz do mundo. Não se pode esconder a cidade edificada sobre um monte;
15 nem se acende uma candeia para colocá-la debaixo do alqueire, mas no velador, e alumia a todos os que se encontram na casa.
16 Assim brilhe também a vossa luz diante dos homens, para que vejam as vossas boas obras e glorifiquem a vosso Pai que está nos céus.
17 Não penseis que vim revogar a Lei ou os Profetas; não vim para revogar, vim para cumprir.
18 Porque em verdade vos digo: até que o céu e a terra passem, nem um i ou um til jamais passará da Lei, até que tudo se cumpra.
19 Aquele, pois, que violar um destes mandamentos, posto que dos menores, e assim ensinar aos homens, será considerado mínimo no reino dos céus; aquele, porém, que os observar e ensinar, esse será considerado grande no reino dos céus.
20 Porque vos digo que, se a vossa justiça não exceder em muito a dos escribas e fariseus, jamais entrareis no reino dos céus.
21 Ouvistes que foi dito aos antigos: Não matarás; e: Quem matar estará sujeito a julgamento.
22 Eu, porém, vos digo que todo aquele que [sem motivo] se irar contra seu irmão estará sujeito a julgamento; e quem proferir um insulto a seu irmão estará sujeito a julgamento do tribunal; e quem lhe chamar: Tolo, estará sujeito ao inferno de fogo.
23 Se, pois, ao trazeres ao altar a tua oferta, ali te lembrares de que teu irmão tem alguma coisa contra ti,
24 deixa perante o altar a tua oferta, vai primeiro reconciliar-te com teu irmão; e, então, voltando, faze a tua oferta.
25 Entra em acordo sem demora com o teu adversário, enquanto estás com ele a caminho, para que o adversário não te entregue ao juiz, o juiz, ao oficial de justiça, e sejas recolhido à prisão.
26 Em verdade te digo que não sairás dali, enquanto não pagares o último centavo.
27 Ouvistes que foi dito: Não adulterarás.
28 Eu, porém, vos digo: qualquer que olhar para uma mulher com intenção impura, no coração, já adulterou com ela.
29 Se o teu olho direito te faz tropeçar, arranca-o e lança-o de ti; pois te convém que se perca um dos teus membros, e não seja todo o teu corpo lançado no inferno.
30 E, se a tua mão direita te faz tropeçar, corta-a e lança-a de ti; pois te convém que se perca um dos teus membros, e não vá todo o teu corpo para o inferno.
31 Também foi dito: Aquele que repudiar sua mulher, dê-lhe carta de divórcio.
32 Eu, porém, vos digo: qualquer que repudiar sua mulher, exceto em caso de relações sexuais ilícitas, a expõe a tornar-se adúltera; e aquele que casar com a repudiada comete adultério.
33 Também ouvistes que foi dito aos antigos: Não jurarás falso, mas cumprirás rigorosamente para com o Senhor os teus juramentos.
34 Eu, porém, vos digo: de modo algum jureis; nem pelo céu, por ser o trono de Deus;
35 nem pela terra, por ser estrado de seus pés; nem por Jerusalém, por ser cidade do grande Rei;
36 nem jures pela tua cabeça, porque não podes tornar um cabelo branco ou preto.
37 Seja, porém, a tua palavra: Sim, sim; não, não. O que disto passar vem do maligno.
38 Ouvistes que foi dito: Olho por olho, dente por dente.
39 Eu, porém, vos digo: não resistais ao perverso; mas, a qualquer que te ferir na face direita, volta-lhe também a outra;
40 e, ao que quer demandar contigo e tirar-te a túnica, deixa-lhe também a capa.
41 Se alguém te obrigar a andar uma milha, vai com ele duas.
42 Dá a quem te pede e não voltes as costas ao que deseja que lhe emprestes.
43 Ouvistes que foi dito: Amarás o teu próximo e odiarás o teu inimigo.
44 Eu, porém, vos digo: amai os vossos inimigos e orai pelos que vos perseguem;
45 para que vos torneis filhos do vosso Pai celeste, porque ele faz nascer o seu sol sobre maus e bons e vir chuvas sobre justos e injustos.
46 Porque, se amardes os que vos amam, que recompensa tendes? Não fazem os publicanos também o mesmo?
47 E, se saudardes somente os vossos irmãos, que fazeis de mais? Não fazem os gentios também o mesmo?
48 Portanto, sede vós perfeitos como perfeito é o vosso Pai celeste.

5 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: 2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying, 3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. 5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. 6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. 7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. 8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. 9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. 10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. 13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. 14 Ye are the light of the world. Esdras 5
1 Ora, os profetas Ageu e Zacarias, filho de Ido, profetizaram aos judeus que estavam em Judá e em Jerusalém, em nome do Deus de Israel, cujo Espírito estava com eles.
2 Então, se dispuseram Zorobabel, filho de Sealtiel, e Jesua, filho de Jozadaque, e começaram a edificar a Casa de Deus, a qual está em Jerusalém; e, com eles, os referidos profetas de Deus, que os ajudavam.
3 Nesse tempo, veio a eles Tatenai, governador daquém do Eufrates, e Setar-Bozenai, e seus companheiros e assim lhes perguntaram: Quem vos deu ordem para reedificardes esta casa e restaurardes este muro?
4 Perguntaram-lhes mais: E quais são os nomes dos homens que constroem este edifício?
5 Porém os olhos de Deus estavam sobre os anciãos dos judeus, de maneira que não foram obrigados a parar, até que o assunto chegasse a Dario, e viesse resposta por carta sobre isso.
6 Eis a cópia da carta que Tatenai, o governador daquém do Eufrates, com Setar-Bozenai e os seus companheiros, os afarsaquitas, que estavam deste lado do rio, enviaram ao rei Dario,
7 na qual lhe deram uma relação escrita do modo seguinte: Ao rei Dario, toda a paz!
8 Seja notório ao rei que nós fomos à província de Judá, à casa do grande Deus, a qual se edifica com grandes pedras; a madeira se está pondo nas paredes, e a obra se vai fazendo com diligência e se adianta nas suas mãos.
9 Perguntamos aos anciãos e assim lhes dissemos: Quem vos deu ordem para reedificardes esta casa e restaurardes este muro?
10 Demais disto, lhes perguntamos também pelo seu nome, para tos declararmos, para que te pudéssemos escrever os nomes dos homens que são entre eles os chefes.
11 Esta foi a resposta que nos deram: Nós somos servos do Deus dos céus e da terra e reedificamos a casa que há muitos anos fora construída, a qual um grande rei de Israel edificou e a terminou.
12 Mas, depois que nossos pais provocaram à ira o Deus dos céus, ele os entregou nas mãos de Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia, o caldeu, o qual destruiu esta casa e transportou o povo para a Babilônia.
13 Porém Ciro, rei da Babilônia, no seu primeiro ano, deu ordem para que esta Casa de Deus se edificasse.
14 Também os utensílios de ouro e de prata, da Casa de Deus, que Nabucodonosor levara do templo que estava em Jerusalém e os meteu no templo de Babilônia, o rei Ciro os tirou de lá, e foram dados a um homem cujo nome era Sesbazar, a quem nomeara governador
15 e lhe disse: Toma estes utensílios, e vai, e leva-os ao templo de Jerusalém, e faze reedificar a Casa de Deus, no seu lugar.
16 Então, veio o dito Sesbazar e lançou os fundamentos da Casa de Deus, a qual está em Jerusalém; e, daí para cá, se está edificando e ainda não está acabada.
17 Agora, pois, se parece bem ao rei, que se busque nos arquivos reais, na Babilônia, se é verdade haver uma ordem do rei Ciro para edificar esta Casa de Deus, em Jerusalém; e sobre isto nos faça o rei saber a sua vontade.

5 Then the prophets, Haggai the prophet, and Zechariah the son of Iddo, prophesied unto the Jews that were in Judah and Jerusalem in the name of the God of Israel, even unto them.
2 Then rose up Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and began to build the house of God which is at Jerusalem: and with them were the prophets of God helping them.
3 At the same time came to them Tatnai, governor on this side the river, and Shetharboznai and their companions, and said thus unto them, Who hath commanded you to build this house, and to make up this wall?
4 Then said we unto them after this manner, What are the names of the men that make this building?
5 But the eye of their God was upon the elders of the Jews, that they could not cause them to cease, till the matter came to Darius: and then they returned answer by letter concerning this matter.
6 The copy of the letter that Tatnai, governor on this side the river, and Shetharboznai and his companions the Apharsachites, which were on this side the river, sent unto Darius the king:
7 They sent a letter unto him, wherein was written thus; Unto Darius the king, all peace.
8 Be it known unto the king, that we went into the province of Judea, to the house of the great God, which is builded with great stones, and timber is laid in the walls, and this work goeth fast on, and prospereth in their hands.
9 Then asked we those elders, and said unto them thus, Who commanded you to build this house, and to make up these walls?
10 We asked their names also, to certify thee, that we might write the names of the men that were the chief of them.
11 And thus they returned us answer, saying, We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth, and build the house that was builded these many years ago, which a great king of Israel builded and set up.
12 But after that our fathers had provoked the God of heaven unto wrath, he gave them into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, the Chaldean, who destroyed this house, and carried the people away into Babylon.
13 But in the first year of Cyrus the king of Babylon the same king Cyrus made a decree to build this house of God.
14 And the vessels also of gold and silver of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took out of the temple that was in Jerusalem, and brought them into the temple of Babylon, those did Cyrus the king take out of the temple of Babylon, and they were delivered unto one, whose name was Sheshbazzar, whom he had made governor;
15 And said unto him, Take these vessels, go, carry them into the temple that is in Jerusalem, and let the house of God be builded in his place.
16 Then came the same Sheshbazzar, and laid the foundation of the house of God which is in Jerusalem: and since that time even until now hath it been in building, and yet it is not finished.
17 Now therefore, if it seem good to the king, let there be search made in the king's treasure house, which is there at Babylon, whether it be so, that a decree was made of Cyrus the king to build this house of God at Jerusalem, and let the king send his pleasure to us concerning this matter.
A misericórdia de DEUS é de uma esplendideza sublime. O arco nos céus, como sinal de Sua aliança é algo grandioso. Mas houve os que foram contra a lei do Espírito da vida. Porque à ELE, rejeitaram-No, ao DEUS vivo. Entretanto, houve e haverá os que verdadeiramente, andam com DEUS. A exemplo de Noé.
"Agora, pois, já nenhuma condenação há para os que estão em Cristo JESUS. Porque a lei do Espírito da vida, em Cristo Jesus, te livrou da lei do pecado e da morte."[Romanos 8:1-2].

1 Coabitou o homem com Eva, sua mulher. Esta concebeu e deu à luz a Caim; então, disse: Adquiri um varão com o auxílio do SENHOR.
2 Depois, deu à luz a Abel, seu irmão. Abel foi pastor de ovelhas, e Caim, lavrador.
3 Aconteceu que no fim de uns tempos trouxe Caim do fruto da terra uma oferta ao SENHOR.
4 Abel, por sua vez, trouxe das primícias do seu rebanho e da gordura deste. Agradou-se o SENHOR de Abel e de sua oferta;
5 ao passo que de Caim e de sua oferta não se agradou. Irou-se, pois, sobremaneira, Caim, e descaiu-lhe o semblante.
6 Então, lhe disse o SENHOR: Por que andas irado, e por que descaiu o teu semblante?
7 Se procederes bem, não é certo que serás aceito? Se, todavia, procederes mal, eis que o pecado jaz à porta; o seu desejo será contra ti, mas a ti cumpre dominá-lo.
8 Disse Caim a Abel, seu irmão: Vamos ao campo. Estando eles no campo, sucedeu que se levantou Caim contra Abel, seu irmão, e o matou.
9 Disse o SENHOR a Caim: Onde está Abel, teu irmão? Ele respondeu: Não sei; acaso, sou eu tutor de meu irmão?
10 E disse Deus: Que fizeste? A voz do sangue de teu irmão clama da terra a mim.
11 És agora, pois, maldito por sobre a terra, cuja boca se abriu para receber de tuas mãos o sangue de teu irmão.
12 Quando lavrares o solo, não te dará ele a sua força; serás fugitivo e errante pela terra.
13 Então, disse Caim ao SENHOR: É tamanho o meu castigo, que já não posso suportá-lo.
14 Eis que hoje me lanças da face da terra, e da tua presença hei de esconder-me; serei fugitivo e errante pela terra; quem comigo se encontrar me matará.
15 O SENHOR, porém, lhe disse: Assim, qualquer que matar a Caim será vingado sete vezes. E pôs o SENHOR um sinal em Caim para que o não ferisse de morte quem quer que o encontrasse.
16 Retirou-se Caim da presença do SENHOR e habitou na terra de Node, ao oriente do Éden.
17 E coabitou Caim com sua mulher; ela concebeu e deu à luz a Enoque. Caim edificou uma cidade e lhe chamou Enoque, o nome de seu filho.
18 A Enoque nasceu-lhe Irade; Irade gerou a Meujael, Meujael, a Metusael, e Metusael, a Lameque.
19 Lameque tomou para si duas esposas: o nome de uma era Ada, a outra se chamava Zilá.
20 Ada deu à luz a Jabal; este foi o pai dos que habitam em tendas e possuem gado.
21 O nome de seu irmão era Jubal; este foi o pai de todos os que tocam harpa e flauta.
22 Zilá, por sua vez, deu à luz a Tubalcaim, artífice de todo instrumento cortante, de bronze e de ferro; a irmã de Tubalcaim foi Naamá.
23 E disse Lameque às suas esposas: Ada e Zilá, ouvi-me; vós, mulheres de Lameque, escutai o que passo a dizer-vos: Matei um homem porque ele me feriu; e um rapaz porque me pisou.
24 Sete vezes se tomará vingança de Caim, de Lameque, porém, setenta vezes sete.
25 Tornou Adão a coabitar com sua mulher; e ela deu à luz um filho, a quem pôs o nome de Sete; porque, disse ela, Deus me concedeu outro descendente em lugar de Abel, que Caim matou.
26 A Sete nasceu-lhe também um filho, ao qual pôs o nome de Enos; daí se começou a invocar o nome do SENHOR.

27 Todos os dias de Metusalém foram novecentos e sessenta e nove anos; e morreu.
28 Lameque viveu cento e oitenta e dois anos e gerou um filho;
29 pôs-lhe o nome de Noé, dizendo: Este nos consolará dos nossos trabalhos e das fadigas de nossas mãos, nesta terra que o SENHOR amaldiçoou.
30 Depois que gerou a Noé, viveu Lameque quinhentos e noventa e cinco anos; e teve filhos e filhas.
31 Todos os dias de Lameque foram setecentos e setenta e sete anos; e morreu.

1 A seguir, foi Jesus levado pelo Espírito ao deserto, para ser tentado pelo diabo.
2 E, depois de jejuar quarenta dias e quarenta noites, teve fome.
3 Então, o tentador, aproximando-se, lhe disse: Se és Filho de Deus, manda que estas pedras se transformem em pães.
4 Jesus, porém, respondeu: Está escrito: Não só de pão viverá o homem, mas de toda palavra que procede da boca de Deus.
5 Então, o diabo o levou à Cidade Santa, colocou-o sobre o pináculo do templo
6 e lhe disse: Se és Filho de Deus, atira-te abaixo, porque está escrito: Aos seus anjos ordenará a teu respeito que te guardem; e: Eles te susterão nas suas mãos, para não tropeçares nalguma pedra.
7 Respondeu-lhe Jesus: Também está escrito: Não tentarás o Senhor, teu Deus.
8 Levou-o ainda o diabo a um monte muito alto, mostrou-lhe todos os reinos do mundo e a glória deles
9 e lhe disse: Tudo isto te darei se, prostrado, me adorares.
10 Então, Jesus lhe ordenou: Retira-te, Satanás, porque está escrito: Ao Senhor, teu Deus, adorarás, e só a ele darás culto.
11 Com isto, o deixou o diabo, e eis que vieram anjos e o serviram.
12 Ouvindo, porém, Jesus que João fora preso, retirou-se para a Galiléia;
13 e, deixando Nazaré, foi morar em Cafarnaum, situada à beira-mar, nos confins de Zebulom e Naftali;
14 para que se cumprisse o que fora dito por intermédio do profeta Isaías:
15 Terra de Zebulom, terra de Naftali, caminho do mar, além do Jordão, Galiléia dos gentios!
16 O povo que jazia em trevas viu grande luz, e aos que viviam na região e sombra da morte resplandeceu-lhes a luz.
17 Daí por diante, passou Jesus a pregar e a dizer: Arrependei-vos, porque está próximo o reino dos céus.
18 Caminhando junto ao mar da Galiléia, viu dois irmãos, Simão, chamado Pedro, e André, que lançavam as redes ao mar, porque eram pescadores.
19 E disse-lhes: Vinde após mim, e eu vos farei pescadores de homens.
20 Então, eles deixaram imediatamente as redes e o seguiram.
21 Passando adiante, viu outros dois irmãos, Tiago, filho de Zebedeu, e João, seu irmão, que estavam no barco em companhia de seu pai, consertando as redes; e chamou-os.
22 Então, eles, no mesmo instante, deixando o barco e seu pai, o seguiram.
23 Percorria Jesus toda a Galiléia, ensinando nas sinagogas, pregando o evangelho do reino e curando toda sorte de doenças e enfermidades entre o povo.
24 E a sua fama correu por toda a Síria; trouxeram-lhe, então, todos os doentes, acometidos de várias enfermidades e tormentos: endemoninhados, lunáticos e paralíticos. E ele os curou.
25 E da Galiléia, Decápolis, Jerusalém, Judéia e dalém do Jordão numerosas multidões o seguiam.

8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.
12 Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee;
13 And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:

15 The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;

17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
18 And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.
21 And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.
22 And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.
23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.
25 And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan.

Esdras 4
1 Ouvindo os adversários de Judá e Benjamim que os que voltaram do cativeiro edificavam o templo ao SENHOR, Deus de Israel,
2 chegaram-se a Zorobabel e aos cabeças de famílias e lhes disseram: Deixai-nos edificar convosco, porque, como vós, buscaremos a vosso Deus; como também já lhe sacrificamos desde os dias de Esar-Hadom, rei da Assíria, que nos fez subir para aqui.
3 Porém Zorobabel, Jesua e os outros cabeças de famílias lhes responderam: Nada tendes conosco na edificação da casa a nosso Deus; nós mesmos, sozinhos, a edificaremos ao SENHOR, Deus de Israel, como nos ordenou Ciro, rei da Pérsia.
4 Então, as gentes da terra desanimaram o povo de Judá, inquietando-o no edificar;
5 alugaram contra eles conselheiros para frustrarem o seu plano, todos os dias de Ciro, rei da Pérsia, até ao reinado de Dario, rei da Pérsia.
6 No princípio do reinado de Assuero, escreveram uma acusação contra os habitantes de Judá e de Jerusalém.
7 E, nos dias de Artaxerxes, rei da Pérsia, Bislão, Mitredate, Tabeel e os outros seus companheiros lhe escreveram; a carta estava escrita em caracteres aramaicos e na língua siríaca.
8 Reum, o comandante, e Sinsai, o escrivão, escreveram contra Jerusalém uma carta ao rei Artaxerxes.
9 Escreveu Reum, o comandante, e Sinsai, o escrivão, os outros seus companheiros: dinaítas, afarsaquitas, tarpelitas, afarsitas, arquevitas, babilônios, susanquitas, deavitas, elamitas
10 e outros povos, que o grande e afamado Osnapar transportou e que fez habitar na cidade de Samaria, e os outros aquém do Eufrates.
11 Eis o teor da carta endereçada ao rei Artaxerxes:
12 Teus servos, os homens daquém do Eufrates e em tal tempo. Seja do conhecimento do rei que os judeus que subiram de ti vieram a nós a Jerusalém. Eles estão reedificando aquela rebelde e malvada cidade e vão restaurando os seus muros e reparando os seus fundamentos.
13 Saiba ainda o rei que, se aquela cidade se reedificar, e os muros se restaurarem, eles não pagarão os direitos, os impostos e os pedágios e assim causarão prejuízos ao rei.
14 Agora, pois, como somos assalariados do rei e não nos convém ver a desonra dele, por isso, mandamos dar-lhe aviso,
15 a fim de que se busque no Livro das Crônicas de seus pais, e nele achará o rei e saberá que aquela cidade foi rebelde e danosa aos reis e às províncias e que nela tem havido rebeliões, desde tempos antigos; pelo que foi a cidade destruída.
16 Nós, pois, fazemos notório ao rei que, se aquela cidade se reedificar, e os seus muros se restaurarem, sucederá que não terá a posse das terras deste lado do Eufrates.
17 Então, respondeu o rei: A Reum, o comandante, a Sinsai, o escrivão, e a seus companheiros que habitam em Samaria, como aos restantes que estão além do Eufrates: Paz!
18 A carta que nos enviastes foi distintamente lida na minha presença.
19 Ordenando-o eu, buscaram e acharam que, de tempos antigos, aquela cidade se levantou contra os reis, e nela se têm feito rebeliões e motins.
20 Também houve reis poderosos sobre Jerusalém, que dalém do Eufrates dominaram em todo lugar, e se lhes pagaram direitos, impostos e pedágios.
21 Agora, pois, dai ordem a fim de que aqueles homens parem o trabalho e não se edifique aquela cidade, a não ser com autorização minha.
22 Guardai-vos, não sejais remissos nestas coisas. Por que há de crescer o dano em prejuízo dos reis?
23 Depois de lida a cópia da carta do rei Artaxerxes perante Reum, Sinsai, o escrivão, e seus companheiros, foram eles apressadamente a Jerusalém, aos judeus, e, de mão armada, os forçaram a parar com a obra.
24 Cessou, pois, a obra da Casa de Deus, a qual estava em Jerusalém; e isso até ao segundo ano do reinado de Dario, rei da Pérsia.

4 Now when the adversaries of Judah and Benjamin heard that the children of the captivity builded the temple unto the Lord God of Israel; 2 Then they came to Zerubbabel, and to the chief of the fathers, and said unto them, Let us build with you: for we seek your God, as ye do; and we do sacrifice unto him since the days of Esarhaddon king of Assur, which brought us up hither. 3 But Zerubbabel, and Jeshua, and the rest of the chief of the fathers of Israel, said unto them, Ye have nothing to do with us to build an house unto our God; but we ourselves together will build unto the Lord God of Israel, as king Cyrus the king of Persia hath commanded us. 4 Then the people of the land weakened the hands of the people of Judah, and troubled them in building, 5 And hired counsellors against them, to frustrate their purpose, all the days of Cyrus king of Persia, even until the reign of Darius king of Persia. 6 And in the reign of Ahasuerus, in the beginning of his reign, wrote they unto him an accusation against the inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem. 7 And in the days of Artaxerxes wrote Bishlam, Mithredath, Tabeel, and the rest of their companions, unto Artaxerxes king of Persia; and the writing of the letter was written in the Syrian tongue, and interpreted in the Syrian tongue. 8 Rehum the chancellor and Shimshai the scribe wrote a letter against Jerusalem to Artaxerxes the king in this sort: 9 Then wrote Rehum the chancellor, and Shimshai the scribe, and the rest of their companions; the Dinaites, the Apharsathchites, the Tarpelites, the Apharsites, the Archevites, the Babylonians, the Susanchites, the Dehavites, and the Elamites, 10 And the rest of the nations whom the great and noble Asnapper brought over, and set in the cities of Samaria, and the rest that are on this side the river, and at such a time. 11 This is the copy of the letter that they sent unto him, even unto Artaxerxes the king; Thy servants the men on this side the river, and at such a time. 12 Be it known unto the king, that the Jews which came up from thee to us are come unto Jerusalem, building the rebellious and the bad city, and have set up the walls thereof, and joined the foundations. 13 Be it known now unto the king, that, if this city be builded, and the walls set up again, then will they not pay toll, tribute, and custom, and so thou shalt endamage the revenue of the kings. 14 Now because we have maintenance from the king's palace, and it was not meet for us to see the king's dishonour, therefore have we sent and certified the king; 15 That search may be made in the book of the records of thy fathers: so shalt thou find in the book of the records, and know that this city is a rebellious city, and hurtful unto kings and provinces, and that they have moved sedition within the same of old time: for which cause was this city destroyed. 16 We certify the king that, if this city be builded again, and the walls thereof set up, by this means thou shalt have no portion on this side the river. 17 Then sent the king an answer unto Rehum the chancellor, and to Shimshai the scribe, and to the rest of their companions that dwell in Samaria, and unto the rest beyond the river, Peace, and at such a time. 18 The letter which ye sent unto us hath been plainly read before me. 19 And I commanded, and search hath been made, and it is found that this city of old time hath made insurrection against kings, and that rebellion and sedition have been made therein. 20 There have been mighty kings also over Jerusalem, which have ruled over all countries beyond the river; and toll, tribute, and custom, was paid unto them. 21 Give ye now commandment to cause these men to cease, and that this city be not builded, until another commandment shall be given from me. 22 Take heed now that ye fail not to do this: why should damage grow to the hurt of the kings? 23 Now when the copy of king Artaxerxes' letter was read before Rehum, and Shimshai the scribe, and their companions, they went up in haste to Jerusalem unto the Jews, and made them to cease by force and power. 24 Then ceased the work of the house of God which is at Jerusalem. So it ceased unto the second year of the reign of Darius king of Persia.

Os capítulos destes três livros mostram nitidamente: Quem não é luz, é trevas. Quem não está com Deus, está semELE. Sim óbvio. Mas na vida real, um entendimento religioso faz com que haja uma postura infantil e poética, diante do pecado. Ou ainda uma postura sarcástica. Cujo pensamento é o mesmo, de que Deus vai perdoar tudo, no fim. Porque ELE é amor.
Amor!.. O que dizer sobretal amor? Certa vez, disse o Senhor Jesus: "Aquele que tem os Meus mandamentos e os guarda, esse é o que Me ama; e aquele que Me ama será amado por Meu Pai, e EU também o amarei e Me manifestarei a ele."
