LEITURA Bíblia Sagrada Versão - João Ferreira de Almeida - 2ª edição PT-BR King James Version      Êxodo 2 Lucas 7  Jó 20 LEITURA  20º DIA  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Êxodo 2 1 Foi-se um homem da casa de Levi e casou com uma descendente de Levi. 2 E a mulher concebeu e deu à luz um filho; e, vendo que era formoso, escondeu-o por três meses. 3 Não podendo, porém, escondê-lo por mais tempo, tomou um cesto de junco, calafetou-o com betume e piche e, pondo nele o menino, largou-o no carriçal à beira do rio. 4 A irmã do menino ficou de longe, para observar o que lhe haveria de suceder. 5 Desceu a filha de Faraó para se banhar no rio, e as suas donzelas passeavam pela beira do rio; vendo ela o cesto no carriçal, enviou a sua criada e o tomou. 6 Abrindo-o, viu a criança; e eis que o menino chorava. Teve compaixão dele e disse: Este é menino dos hebreus. 7 Então, disse sua irmã à filha de Faraó: Queres que eu vá chamar uma das hebréias que sirva de ama e te crie a criança? 8 Respondeu-lhe a filha de Faraó: Vai. Saiu, pois, a moça e chamou a mãe do menino. 9 Então, lhe disse a filha de Faraó: Leva este menino e cria-mo; pagar-te-ei o teu salário. A mulher tomou o menino e o criou. 10 Sendo o menino já grande, ela o trouxe à filha de Faraó, da qual passou ele a ser filho. Esta lhe chamou Moisés e disse: Porque das águas o tirei. 11 Naqueles dias, sendo Moisés já homem, saiu a seus irmãos e viu os seus labores penosos; e viu que certo egípcio espancava um hebreu, um do seu povo. 12 Olhou de um e de outro lado, e, vendo que não havia ali ninguém, matou o egípcio, e o escondeu na areia. 13 Saiu no dia seguinte, e eis que dois hebreus estavam brigando; e disse ao culpado: Por que espancas o teu próximo? 14 O qual respondeu: Quem te pôs por príncipe e juiz sobre nós? Pensas matar-me, como mataste o egípcio? Temeu, pois, Moisés e disse: Com certeza o descobriram. 15 Informado desse caso, procurou Faraó matar a Moisés; porém Moisés fugiu da presença de Faraó e se deteve na terra de Midiã; e assentou-se junto a um poço. 16 O sacerdote de Midiã tinha sete filhas, as quais vieram a tirar água e encheram os bebedouros para dar de beber ao rebanho de seu pai. 17 Então, vieram os pastores e as enxotaram dali; Moisés, porém, se levantou, e as defendeu, e deu de beber ao rebanho. 18 Tendo elas voltado a Reuel, seu pai, este lhes perguntou: Por que viestes, hoje, mais cedo? 19 Responderam elas: Um egípcio nos livrou das mãos dos pastores, e ainda nos tirou água, e deu de beber ao rebanho. 20 E onde está ele?, disse às filhas; por que deixastes lá o homem? Chamai-o para que coma pão. 21 Moisés consentiu em morar com aquele homem; e ele deu a Moisés sua filha Zípora, 22 a qual deu à luz um filho, a quem ele chamou Gérson, porque disse: Sou peregrino em terra estranha. 23 Decorridos muitos dias, morreu o rei do Egito; os filhos de Israel gemiam sob a servidão e por causa dela clamaram, e o seu clamor subiu a Deus. 24 Ouvindo Deus o seu gemido, lembrou-se da sua aliança com Abraão, com Isaque e com Jacó. 25 E viu Deus os filhos de Israel e atentou para a sua condição. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  2 And there went a man of the house of Levi, and took to wife a daughter of Levi. 2 And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months. 3 And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river's brink. 4 And his sister stood afar off, to wit what would be done to him. 5 And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river; and her maidens walked along by the river's side; and when she saw the ark among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it. 6 And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, This is one of the Hebrews' children. 7 Then said his sister to Pharaoh's daughter, Shall I go and call to thee a nurse of the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for thee? 8 And Pharaoh's daughter said to her, Go. And the maid went and called the child's mother. 9 And Pharaoh's daughter said unto her, Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give thee thy wages. And the women took the child, and nursed it. 10 And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh's daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water. 11 And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren. 12 And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand. 13 And when he went out the second day, behold, two men of the Hebrews strove together: and he said to him that did the wrong, Wherefore smitest thou thy fellow? 14 And he said, Who made thee a prince and a judge over us? intendest thou to kill me, as thou killedst the Egyptian? And Moses feared, and said, Surely this thing is known. 15 Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to slay Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh, and dwelt in the land of Midian: and he sat down by a well. 16 Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters: and they came and drew water, and filled the troughs to water their father's flock. 17 And the shepherds came and drove them away: but Moses stood up and helped them, and watered their flock. 18 And when they came to Reuel their father, he said, How is it that ye are come so soon to day? 19 And they said, An Egyptian delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds, and also drew water enough for us, and watered the flock. 20 And he said unto his daughters, And where is he? why is it that ye have left the man? call him, that he may eat bread. 21 And Moses was content to dwell with the man: and he gave Moses Zipporah his daughter. 22 And she bare him a son, and he called his name Gershom: for he said, I have been a stranger in a strange land. 23 And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage. 24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. 25 And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Lucas 7 1 Tendo Jesus concluído todas as suas palavras dirigidas ao povo, entrou em Cafarnaum. 2 E o servo de um centurião, a quem este muito estimava, estava doente, quase à morte. 3 Tendo ouvido falar a respeito de Jesus, enviou-lhe alguns anciãos dos judeus, pedindo-lhe que viesse curar o seu servo. 4 Estes, chegando-se a Jesus, com instância lhe suplicaram, dizendo: Ele é digno de que lhe faças isto; 5 porque é amigo do nosso povo, e ele mesmo nos edificou a sinagoga. 6 Então, Jesus foi com eles. E, já perto da casa, o centurião enviou-lhe amigos para lhe dizer: Senhor, não te incomodes, porque não sou digno de que entres em minha casa. 7 Por isso, eu mesmo não me julguei digno de ir ter contigo; porém manda com uma palavra, e o meu rapaz será curado. 8 Porque também eu sou homem sujeito à autoridade, e tenho soldados às minhas ordens, e digo a este: vai, e ele vai; e a outro: vem, e ele vem; e ao meu servo: faze isto, e ele o faz. 9 Ouvidas estas palavras, admirou-se Jesus dele e, voltando-se para o povo que o acompanhava, disse: Afirmo-vos que nem mesmo em Israel achei fé como esta. 10 E, voltando para casa os que foram enviados, encontraram curado o servo. 11 Em dia subseqüente, dirigia-se Jesus a uma cidade chamada Naim, e iam com ele os seus discípulos e numerosa multidão. 12 Como se aproximasse da porta da cidade, eis que saía o enterro do filho único de uma viúva; e grande multidão da cidade ia com ela. 13 Vendo-a, o Senhor se compadeceu dela e lhe disse: Não chores! 14 Chegando-se, tocou o esquife e, parando os que o conduziam, disse: Jovem, eu te mando: levanta-te! 15 Sentou-se o que estivera morto e passou a falar; e Jesus o restituiu a sua mãe. 16 Todos ficaram possuídos de temor e glorificavam a Deus, dizendo: Grande profeta se levantou entre nós; e: Deus visitou o seu povo. 17 Esta notícia a respeito dele divulgou-se por toda a Judéia e por toda a circunvizinhança. 18 Todas estas coisas foram referidas a João pelos seus discípulos. E João, chamando dois deles, 19 enviou-os ao Senhor para perguntar: És tu aquele que estava para vir ou havemos de esperar outro? 20 Quando os homens chegaram junto dele, disseram: João Batista enviou-nos para te perguntar: És tu aquele que estava para vir ou esperaremos outro? 21 Naquela mesma hora, curou Jesus muitos de moléstias, e de flagelos, e de espíritos malignos; e deu vista a muitos cegos. 22 Então, Jesus lhes respondeu: Ide e anunciai a João o que vistes e ouvistes: os cegos vêem, os coxos andam, os leprosos são purificados, os surdos ouvem, os mortos são ressuscitados, e aos pobres, anuncia-se-lhes o evangelho. 23 E bem-aventurado é aquele que não achar em mim motivo de tropeço. 24 Tendo-se retirado os mensageiros, passou Jesus a dizer ao povo a respeito de João: Que saístes a ver no deserto? Um caniço agitado pelo vento? 25 Que saístes a ver? Um homem vestido de roupas finas? Os que se vestem bem e vivem no luxo assistem nos palácios dos reis. 26 Sim, que saístes a ver? Um profeta? Sim, eu vos digo, e muito mais que profeta. 27 Este é aquele de quem está escrito: Eis aí envio diante da tua face o meu mensageiro, o qual preparará o teu caminho diante de ti. 28 E eu vos digo: entre os nascidos de mulher, ninguém é maior do que João; mas o menor no reino de Deus é maior do que ele. 29 Todo o povo que o ouviu e até os publicanos reconheceram a justiça de Deus, tendo sido batizados com o batismo de João; 30 mas os fariseus e os intérpretes da Lei rejeitaram, quanto a si mesmos, o desígnio de Deus, não tendo sido batizados por ele. 31 A que, pois, compararei os homens da presente geração, e a que são eles semelhantes? 32 São semelhantes a meninos que, sentados na praça, gritam uns para os outros: Nós vos tocamos flauta, e não dançastes; entoamos lamentações, e não chorastes. 33 Pois veio João Batista, não comendo pão, nem bebendo vinho, e dizeis: Tem demônio! 34 Veio o Filho do Homem, comendo e bebendo, e dizeis: Eis aí um glutão e bebedor de vinho, amigo de publicanos e pecadores! 35 Mas a sabedoria é justificada por todos os seus filhos. 36 Convidou-o um dos fariseus para que fosse jantar com ele. Jesus, entrando na casa do fariseu, tomou lugar à mesa. 37 E eis que uma mulher da cidade, pecadora, sabendo que ele estava à mesa na casa do fariseu, levou um vaso de alabastro com ungüento; 38 e, estando por detrás, aos seus pés, chorando, regava-os com suas lágrimas e os enxugava com os próprios cabelos; e beijava-lhe os pés e os ungia com o ungüento. 39 Ao ver isto, o fariseu que o convidara disse consigo mesmo: Se este fora profeta, bem saberia quem e qual é a mulher que lhe tocou, porque é pecadora. 40 Dirigiu-se Jesus ao fariseu e lhe disse: Simão, uma coisa tenho a dizer-te. Ele respondeu: Dize-a, Mestre. 41 Certo credor tinha dois devedores: um lhe devia quinhentos denários, e o outro, cinqüenta. 42 Não tendo nenhum dos dois com que pagar, perdoou-lhes a ambos. Qual deles, portanto, o amará mais? 43 Respondeu-lhe Simão: Suponho que aquele a quem mais perdoou. Replicou-lhe: Julgaste bem. 44 E, voltando-se para a mulher, disse a Simão: Vês esta mulher? Entrei em tua casa, e não me deste água para os pés; esta, porém, regou os meus pés com lágrimas e os enxugou com os seus cabelos. 45 Não me deste ósculo; ela, entretanto, desde que entrei não cessa de me beijar os pés. 46 Não me ungiste a cabeça com óleo, mas esta, com bálsamo, ungiu os meus pés. 47 Por isso, te digo: perdoados lhe são os seus muitos pecados, porque ela muito amou; mas aquele a quem pouco se perdoa, pouco ama. 48 Então, disse à mulher: Perdoados são os teus pecados. 49 Os que estavam com ele à mesa começaram a dizer entre si: Quem é este que até perdoa pecados? 50 Mas Jesus disse à mulher: A tua fé te salvou; vai-te em paz. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  7 Now when he had ended all his sayings in the audience of the people, he entered into Capernaum. 2 And a certain centurion's servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die. 3 And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant. 4 And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this: 5 For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue. 6 Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof: 7 Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed. 8 For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. 9 When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. 10 And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick. 11 And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people. 12 Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her. 13 And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not. 14 And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. 15 And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother. 16 And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people. 17 And this rumour of him went forth throughout all Judaea, and throughout all the region round about. 18 And the disciples of John shewed him of all these things. 19 And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another? 20 When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another? 21 And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight. 22 Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached. 23 And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me. 24 And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto the people concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness for to see? A reed shaken with the wind? 25 But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings' courts. 26 But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet. 27 This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. 28 For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he. 29 And all the people that heard him, and the publicans, justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John. 30 But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him. 31 And the Lord said, Whereunto then shall I liken the men of this generation? and to what are they like? 32 They are like unto children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, and saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned to you, and ye have not wept. 33 For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil. 34 The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners! 35 But wisdom is justified of all her children. 36 And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat. 37 And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, 38 And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment. 39 Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner. 40 And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on. 41 There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty. 42 And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most? 43 Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged. 44 And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head. 45 Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet. 46 My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment. 47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little. 48 And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven. 49 And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also? 50 And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Jó 20 1 Então, respondeu Zofar, o naamatita: 2 Visto que os meus pensamentos me impõem resposta, eu me apresso. 3 Eu ouvi a repreensão, que me envergonha, mas o meu espírito me obriga a responder segundo o meu entendimento. 4 Porventura, não sabes tu que desde todos os tempos, desde que o homem foi posto sobre a terra, 5 o júbilo dos perversos é breve, e a alegria dos ímpios, momentânea? 6 Ainda que a sua presunção remonte aos céus, e a sua cabeça atinja as nuvens, 7 como o seu próprio esterco, apodrecerá para sempre; e os que o conheceram dirão: Onde está? 8 Voará como um sonho e não será achado, será afugentado como uma visão da noite. 9 Os olhos que o viram jamais o verão, e o seu lugar não o verá outra vez. 10 Os seus filhos procurarão aplacar aos pobres, e as suas mãos lhes restaurarão os seus bens. 11 Ainda que os seus ossos estejam cheios do vigor da sua juventude, esse vigor se deitará com ele no pó. 12 Ainda que o mal lhe seja doce na boca, e ele o esconda debaixo da língua, 13 e o saboreie, e o não deixe; antes, o retenha no seu paladar, 14 contudo, a sua comida se transformará nas suas entranhas; fel de áspides será no seu interior. 15 Engoliu riquezas, mas vomitá-las-á; do seu ventre Deus as lançará. 16 Veneno de áspides sorveu; língua de víbora o matará. 17 Não se deliciará com a vista dos ribeiros e dos rios transbordantes de mel e de leite. 18 Devolverá o fruto do seu trabalho e não o engolirá; do lucro de sua barganha não tirará prazer nenhum. 19 Oprimiu e desamparou os pobres, roubou casas que não edificou. 20 Por não haver limites à sua cobiça, não chegará a salvar as coisas por ele desejadas. 21 Nada escapou à sua cobiça insaciável, pelo que a sua prosperidade não durará. 22 Na plenitude da sua abastança, ver-se-á angustiado; toda a força da miséria virá sobre ele. 23 Para encher a sua barriga, Deus mandará sobre ele o furor da sua ira, que, por alimento, mandará chover sobre ele. 24 Se fugir das armas de ferro, o arco de bronze o traspassará. 25 Ele arranca das suas costas a flecha, e esta vem resplandecente do seu fel; e haverá assombro sobre ele. 26 Todas as calamidades serão reservadas contra os seus tesouros; fogo não assoprado o consumirá, fogo que se apascentará do que ficar na sua tenda. 27 Os céus lhe manifestarão a sua iniqüidade; e a terra se levantará contra ele. 28 As riquezas de sua casa serão transportadas; como água serão derramadas no dia da ira de Deus. 29 Tal é, da parte de Deus, a sorte do homem perverso, tal a herança decretada por Deus. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  20 Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said, 2 Therefore do my thoughts cause me to answer, and for this I make haste. 3 I have heard the check of my reproach, and the spirit of my understanding causeth me to answer. 4 Knowest thou not this of old, since man was placed upon earth, 5 That the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but for a moment? 6 Though his excellency mount up to the heavens, and his head reach unto the clouds; 7 Yet he shall perish for ever like his own dung: they which have seen him shall say, Where is he? 8 He shall fly away as a dream, and shall not be found: yea, he shall be chased away as a vision of the night. 9 The eye also which saw him shall see him no more; neither shall his place any more behold him. 10 His children shall seek to please the poor, and his hands shall restore their goods. 11 His bones are full of the sin of his youth, which shall lie down with him in the dust. 12 Though wickedness be sweet in his mouth, though he hide it under his tongue; 13 Though he spare it, and forsake it not; but keep it still within his mouth: 14 Yet his meat in his bowels is turned, it is the gall of asps within him. 15 He hath swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them up again: God shall cast them out of his belly. 16 He shall suck the poison of asps: the viper's tongue shall slay him. 17 He shall not see the rivers, the floods, the brooks of honey and butter. 18 That which he laboured for shall he restore, and shall not swallow it down: according to his substance shall the restitution be, and he shall not rejoice therein. 19 Because he hath oppressed and hath forsaken the poor; because he hath violently taken away an house which he builded not; 20 Surely he shall not feel quietness in his belly, he shall not save of that which he desired. 21 There shall none of his meat be left; therefore shall no man look for his goods. 22 In the fulness of his sufficiency he shall be in straits: every hand of the wicked shall come upon him. 23 When he is about to fill his belly, God shall cast the fury of his wrath upon him, and shall rain it upon him while he is eating. 24 He shall flee from the iron weapon, and the bow of steel shall strike him through. 25 It is drawn, and cometh out of the body; yea, the glittering sword cometh out of his gall: terrors are upon him. 26 All darkness shall be hid in his secret places: a fire not blown shall consume him; it shall go ill with him that is left in his tabernacle. 27 The heaven shall reveal his iniquity; and the earth shall rise up against him. 28 The increase of his house shall depart, and his goods shall flow away in the day of his wrath. 29 This is the portion of a wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed unto him by God. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦

LEITURA Bíblia Sagrada Versão - João Ferreira de Almeida - 2ª edição PT-BR King James Version      Êxodo 1 Lucas 6  Jó 19 LEITURA  19º DIA  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Êxodo 1 1 São estes os nomes dos filhos de Israel que entraram com Jacó no Egito; cada um entrou com sua família: 2 Rúben, Simeão, Levi e Judá, 3 Issacar, Zebulom e Benjamim, 4 Dã, Naftali, Gade e Aser. 5 Todas as pessoas, pois, que descenderam de Jacó foram setenta; José, porém, estava no Egito. 6 Faleceu José, e todos os seus irmãos, e toda aquela geração. 7 Mas os filhos de Israel foram fecundos, e aumentaram muito, e se multiplicaram, e grandemente se fortaleceram, de maneira que a terra se encheu deles. 8 Entrementes, se levantou novo rei sobre o Egito, que não conhecera a José. 9 Ele disse ao seu povo: Eis que o povo dos filhos de Israel é mais numeroso e mais forte do que nós. 10 Eia, usemos de astúcia para com ele, para que não se multiplique, e seja o caso que, vindo guerra, ele se ajunte com os nossos inimigos, peleje contra nós e saia da terra. 11 E os egípcios puseram sobre eles feitores de obras, para os afligirem com suas cargas. E os israelitas edificaram a Faraó as cidades-celeiros, Pitom e Ramessés. 12 Mas, quanto mais os afligiam, tanto mais se multiplicavam e tanto mais se espalhavam; de maneira que se inquietavam por causa dos filhos de Israel; 13 então, os egípcios, com tirania, faziam servir os filhos de Israel 14 e lhes fizeram amargar a vida com dura servidão, em barro, e em tijolos, e com todo o trabalho no campo; com todo o serviço em que na tirania os serviam. 15 O rei do Egito ordenou às parteiras hebréias, das quais uma se chamava Sifrá, e outra, Puá, 16 dizendo: Quando servirdes de parteira às hebréias, examinai: se for filho, matai-o; mas, se for filha, que viva. 17 As parteiras, porém, temeram a Deus e não fizeram como lhes ordenara o rei do Egito; antes, deixaram viver os meninos. 18 Então, o rei do Egito chamou as parteiras e lhes disse: Por que fizestes isso e deixastes viver os meninos? 19 Responderam as parteiras a Faraó: É que as mulheres hebréias não são como as egípcias; são vigorosas e, antes que lhes chegue a parteira, já deram à luz os seus filhos. 20 E Deus fez bem às parteiras; e o povo aumentou e se tornou muito forte. 21 E, porque as parteiras temeram a Deus, ele lhes constituiu família. 22 Então, ordenou Faraó a todo o seu povo, dizendo: A todos os filhos que nascerem aos hebreus lançareis no Nilo, mas a todas as filhas deixareis viver. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  1 Now these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt; every man and his household came with Jacob. 2 Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, 3 Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin, 4 Dan, and Naphtali, Gad, and Asher. 5 And all the souls that came out of the loins of Jacob were seventy souls: for Joseph was in Egypt already. 6 And Joseph died, and all his brethren, and all that generation. 7 And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them. 8 Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph. 9 And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we: 10 Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land. 11 Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses. 12 But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel. 13 And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigour: 14 And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in morter, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigour. 15 And the king of Egypt spake to the Hebrew midwives, of which the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah: 16 And he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live. 17 But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men children alive. 18 And the king of Egypt called for the midwives, and said unto them, Why have ye done this thing, and have saved the men children alive? 19 And the midwives said unto Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women; for they are lively, and are delivered ere the midwives come in unto them. 20 Therefore God dealt well with the midwives: and the people multiplied, and waxed very mighty. 21 And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that he made them houses. 22 And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Lucas 6 1Aconteceu que, num sábado, atravessando Jesus algumas searas, Seus discípulos arrancavam espigas e comiam, debulhando-as com as mãos. 1 Aconteceu que, num sábado, passando Jesus pelas searas, os seus discípulos colhiam e comiam espigas, debulhando-as com as mãos. 2 E alguns dos fariseus lhes disseram: Por que fazeis o que não é lícito aos sábados? 3 Respondeu-lhes Jesus: Nem ao menos tendes lido o que fez Davi, quando teve fome, ele e seus companheiros? 4 Como entrou na casa de Deus, tomou, e comeu os pães da proposição, e os deu aos que com ele estavam, pães que não lhes era lícito comer, mas exclusivamente aos sacerdotes? 5 E acrescentou-lhes: O Filho do Homem é senhor do sábado. 6 Sucedeu que, em outro sábado, entrou ele na sinagoga e ensinava. Ora, achava-se ali um homem cuja mão direita estava ressequida. 7 Os escribas e os fariseus observavam-no, procurando ver se ele faria uma cura no sábado, a fim de acharem de que o acusar. 8 Mas ele, conhecendo-lhes os pensamentos, disse ao homem da mão ressequida: Levanta-te e vem para o meio; e ele, levantando-se, permaneceu de pé. 9 Então, disse Jesus a eles: Que vos parece? É lícito, no sábado, fazer o bem ou o mal? Salvar a vida ou deixá-la perecer? 10 E, fitando todos ao redor, disse ao homem: Estende a mão. Ele assim o fez, e a mão lhe foi restaurada. 11 Mas eles se encheram de furor e discutiam entre si quanto ao que fariam a Jesus. 12 Naqueles dias, retirou-se para o monte, a fim de orar, e passou a noite orando a Deus. 13 E, quando amanheceu, chamou a si os seus discípulos e escolheu doze dentre eles, aos quais deu também o nome de apóstolos: 14 Simão, a quem acrescentou o nome de Pedro, e André, seu irmão; Tiago e João; Filipe e Bartolomeu; 15 Mateus e Tomé; Tiago, filho de Alfeu, e Simão, chamado Zelote; 16 Judas, filho de Tiago, e Judas Iscariotes, que se tornou traidor. 17 E, descendo com eles, parou numa planura onde se encontravam muitos discípulos seus e grande multidão do povo, de toda a Judéia, de Jerusalém e do litoral de Tiro e de Sidom, 18 que vieram para o ouvirem e serem curados de suas enfermidades; também os atormentados por espíritos imundos eram curados. 19 E todos da multidão procuravam tocá-lo, porque dele saía poder; e curava todos. 20 Então, olhando ele para os seus discípulos, disse-lhes: Bem-aventurados vós, os pobres, porque vosso é o reino de Deus. 21 Bem-aventurados vós, os que agora tendes fome, porque sereis fartos. Bem-aventurados vós, os que agora chorais, porque haveis de rir. 22 Bem-aventurados sois quando os homens vos odiarem e quando vos expulsarem da sua companhia, vos injuriarem e rejeitarem o vosso nome como indigno, por causa do Filho do Homem. 23 Regozijai-vos naquele dia e exultai, porque grande é o vosso galardão no céu; pois dessa forma procederam seus pais com os profetas. 24 Mas ai de vós, os ricos! Porque tendes a vossa consolação. 25 Ai de vós, os que estais agora fartos! Porque vireis a ter fome. Ai de vós, os que agora rides! Porque haveis de lamentar e chorar. 26 Ai de vós, quando todos vos louvarem! Porque assim procederam seus pais com os falsos profetas. 27 Digo-vos, porém, a vós outros que me ouvis: amai os vossos inimigos, fazei o bem aos que vos odeiam; 28 bendizei aos que vos maldizem, orai pelos que vos caluniam. 29 Ao que te bate numa face, oferece-lhe também a outra; e, ao que tirar a tua capa, deixa-o levar também a túnica; 30 dá a todo o que te pede; e, se alguém levar o que é teu, não entres em demanda. 31 Como quereis que os homens vos façam, assim fazei-o vós também a eles. 32 Se amais os que vos amam, qual é a vossa recompensa? Porque até os pecadores amam aos que os amam. 33 Se fizerdes o bem aos que vos fazem o bem, qual é a vossa recompensa? Até os pecadores fazem isso. 34 E, se emprestais àqueles de quem esperais receber, qual é a vossa recompensa? Também os pecadores emprestam aos pecadores, para receberem outro tanto. 35 Amai, porém, os vossos inimigos, fazei o bem e emprestai, sem esperar nenhuma paga; será grande o vosso galardão, e sereis filhos do Altíssimo. Pois ele é benigno até para com os ingratos e maus. 36 Sede misericordiosos, como também é misericordioso vosso Pai. 37 Não julgueis e não sereis julgados; não condeneis e não sereis condenados; perdoai e sereis perdoados; 38 dai, e dar-se-vos-á; boa medida, recalcada, sacudida, transbordante, generosamente vos darão; porque com a medida com que tiverdes medido vos medirão também. 39 Propôs-lhes também uma parábola: Pode, porventura, um cego guiar a outro cego? Não cairão ambos no barranco? 40 O discípulo não está acima do seu mestre; todo aquele, porém, que for bem instruído será como o seu mestre. 41 Por que vês tu o argueiro no olho de teu irmão, porém não reparas na trave que está no teu próprio? 42 Como poderás dizer a teu irmão: Deixa, irmão, que eu tire o argueiro do teu olho, não vendo tu mesmo a trave que está no teu? Hipócrita, tira primeiro a trave do teu olho e, então, verás claramente para tirar o argueiro que está no olho de teu irmão. 43 Não há árvore boa que dê mau fruto; nem tampouco árvore má que dê bom fruto. 44 Porquanto cada árvore é conhecida pelo seu próprio fruto. Porque não se colhem figos de espinheiros, nem dos abrolhos se vindimam uvas. 45 O homem bom do bom tesouro do coração tira o bem, e o mau do mau tesouro tira o mal; porque a boca fala do que está cheio o coração. 46 Por que me chamais Senhor, Senhor, e não fazeis o que vos mando? 47 Todo aquele que vem a mim, e ouve as minhas palavras, e as pratica, eu vos mostrarei a quem é semelhante. 48 É semelhante a um homem que, edificando uma casa, cavou, abriu profunda vala e lançou o alicerce sobre a rocha; e, vindo a enchente, arrojou-se o rio contra aquela casa e não a pôde abalar, por ter sido bem construída. 49 Mas o que ouve e não pratica é semelhante a um homem que edificou uma casa sobre a terra sem alicerces, e, arrojando-se o rio contra ela, logo desabou; e aconteceu que foi grande a ruína daquela casa. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  6 And it came to pass on the second sabbath after the first, that he went through the corn fields; and his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands. 2 And certain of the Pharisees said unto them, Why do ye that which is not lawful to do on the sabbath days? 3 And Jesus answering them said, Have ye not read so much as this, what David did, when himself was an hungred, and they which were with him; 4 How he went into the house of God, and did take and eat the shewbread, and gave also to them that were with him; which it is not lawful to eat but for the priests alone? 5 And he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath. 6 And it came to pass also on another sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man whose right hand was withered. 7 And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him. 8 But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth. 9 Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it? 10 And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other. 11 And they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus. 12 And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. 13 And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles; 14 Simon, (whom he also named Peter,) and Andrew his brother, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew, 15 Matthew and Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon called Zelotes, 16 And Judas the brother of James, and Judas Iscariot, which also was the traitor. 17 And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases; 18 And they that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed. 19 And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all. 20 And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God. 21 Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh. 22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake. 23 Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets. 24 But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation. 25 Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep. 26 Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets. 27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, 28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. 29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also. 30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again. 31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. 32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them. 33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same. 34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again. 35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. 36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. 37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: 38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. 39 And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch? 40 The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master. 41 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 42 Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye. 43 For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes. 45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. 46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? 47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: 48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. 49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Jó 19 1 Então, respondeu Jó: 2 Até quando afligireis a minha alma e me quebrantareis com palavras? 3 Já dez vezes me vituperastes e não vos envergonhais de injuriar-me. 4 Embora haja eu, na verdade, errado, comigo ficará o meu erro. 5 Se quereis engrandecer-vos contra mim e me argüis pelo meu opróbrio, 6 sabei agora que Deus é que me oprimiu e com a sua rede me cercou. 7 Eis que clamo: violência! Mas não sou ouvido; grito: socorro! Porém não há justiça. 8 O meu caminho ele fechou, e não posso passar; e nas minhas veredas pôs trevas. 9 Da minha honra me despojou e tirou-me da cabeça a coroa. 10 Arruinou-me de todos os lados, e eu me vou; e arrancou-me a esperança, como a uma árvore. 11 Inflamou contra mim a sua ira e me tem na conta de seu adversário. 12 Juntas vieram as suas tropas, prepararam contra mim o seu caminho e se acamparam ao redor da minha tenda. 13 Pôs longe de mim a meus irmãos, e os que me conhecem, como estranhos, se apartaram de mim. 14 Os meus parentes me desampararam, e os meus conhecidos se esqueceram de mim. 15 Os que se abrigam na minha casa e as minhas servas me têm por estranho, e vim a ser estrangeiro aos seus olhos. 16 Chamo o meu criado, e ele não me responde; tenho de suplicar-lhe, eu mesmo. 17 O meu hálito é intolerável à minha mulher, e pelo mau cheiro sou repugnante aos filhos de minha mãe. 18 Até as crianças me desprezam, e, querendo eu levantar-me, zombam de mim. 19 Todos os meus amigos íntimos me abominam, e até os que eu amava se tornaram contra mim. 20 Os meus ossos se apegam à minha pele e à minha carne, e salvei-me só com a pele dos meus dentes. 21 Compadecei-vos de mim, amigos meus, compadecei-vos de mim, porque a mão de Deus me atingiu. 22 Por que me perseguis como Deus me persegue e não cessais de devorar a minha carne? 23 Quem me dera fossem agora escritas as minhas palavras! Quem me dera fossem gravadas em livro! 24 Que, com pena de ferro e com chumbo, para sempre fossem esculpidas na rocha! 25 Porque eu sei que o meu Redentor vive e por fim se levantará sobre a terra. 26 Depois, revestido este meu corpo da minha pele, em minha carne verei a Deus. 27 Vê-lo-ei por mim mesmo, os meus olhos o verão, e não outros; de saudade me desfalece o coração dentro de mim. 28 Se disserdes: Como o perseguiremos? E: A causa deste mal se acha nele, 29 temei, pois, a espada, porque tais acusações merecem o seu furor, para saberdes que há um juízo. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  19 Then Job answered and said, 2 How long will ye vex my soul, and break me in pieces with words? 3 These ten times have ye reproached me: ye are not ashamed that ye make yourselves strange to me. 4 And be it indeed that I have erred, mine error remaineth with myself. 5 If indeed ye will magnify yourselves against me, and plead against me my reproach: 6 Know now that God hath overthrown me, and hath compassed me with his net. 7 Behold, I cry out of wrong, but I am not heard: I cry aloud, but there is no judgment. 8 He hath fenced up my way that I cannot pass, and he hath set darkness in my paths. 9 He hath stripped me of my glory, and taken the crown from my head. 10 He hath destroyed me on every side, and I am gone: and mine hope hath he removed like a tree. 11 He hath also kindled his wrath against me, and he counteth me unto him as one of his enemies. 12 His troops come together, and raise up their way against me, and encamp round about my tabernacle. 13 He hath put my brethren far from me, and mine acquaintance are verily estranged from me. 14 My kinsfolk have failed, and my familiar friends have forgotten me. 15 They that dwell in mine house, and my maids, count me for a stranger: I am an alien in their sight. 16 I called my servant, and he gave me no answer; I intreated him with my mouth. 17 My breath is strange to my wife, though I intreated for the children's sake of mine own body. 18 Yea, young children despised me; I arose, and they spake against me. 19 All my inward friends abhorred me: and they whom I loved are turned against me. 20 My bone cleaveth to my skin and to my flesh, and I am escaped with the skin of my teeth. 21 Have pity upon me, have pity upon me, O ye my friends; for the hand of God hath touched me. 22 Why do ye persecute me as God, and are not satisfied with my flesh? 23 Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book! 24 That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever! 25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: 26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: 27 Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me. 28 But ye should say, Why persecute we him, seeing the root of the matter is found in me? 29 Be ye afraid of the sword: for wrath bringeth the punishments of the sword, that ye may know there is a judgment. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦
