LEITURA Bíblia Sagrada Versão - João Ferreira de Almeida - 2ª edição PT-BR King James Version      Êxodo 3 Lucas 8  Jó 21 LEITURA  21º DIA  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Êxodo 3 1 Apascentava Moisés o rebanho de Jetro, seu sogro, sacerdote de Midiã; e, levando o rebanho para o lado ocidental do deserto, chegou ao monte de Deus, a Horebe. 2 Apareceu-lhe o Anjo do SENHOR numa chama de fogo, no meio de uma sarça; Moisés olhou, e eis que a sarça ardia no fogo e a sarça não se consumia. 3 Então, disse consigo mesmo: Irei para lá e verei essa grande maravilha; por que a sarça não se queima? 4 Vendo o SENHOR que ele se voltava para ver, Deus, do meio da sarça, o chamou e disse: Moisés! Moisés! Ele respondeu: Eis-me aqui! 5 Deus continuou: Não te chegues para cá; tira as sandálias dos pés, porque o lugar em que estás é terra santa. 6 Disse mais: Eu sou o Deus de teu pai, o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaque e o Deus de Jacó. Moisés escondeu o rosto, porque temeu olhar para Deus. 7 Disse ainda o SENHOR: Certamente, vi a aflição do meu povo, que está no Egito, e ouvi o seu clamor por causa dos seus exatores. Conheço-lhe o sofrimento; 8 por isso, desci a fim de livrá-lo da mão dos egípcios e para fazê-lo subir daquela terra a uma terra boa e ampla, terra que mana leite e mel; o lugar do cananeu, do heteu, do amorreu, do ferezeu, do heveu e do jebuseu. 9 Pois o clamor dos filhos de Israel chegou até mim, e também vejo a opressão com que os egípcios os estão oprimindo. 10 Vem, agora, e eu te enviarei a Faraó, para que tires o meu povo, os filhos de Israel, do Egito. 11 Então, disse Moisés a Deus: Quem sou eu para ir a Faraó e tirar do Egito os filhos de Israel? 12 Deus lhe respondeu: Eu serei contigo; e este será o sinal de que eu te enviei: depois de haveres tirado o povo do Egito, servireis a Deus neste monte. 13 Disse Moisés a Deus: Eis que, quando eu vier aos filhos de Israel e lhes disser: O Deus de vossos pais me enviou a vós outros; e eles me perguntarem: Qual é o seu nome? Que lhes direi? 14 Disse Deus a Moisés: EU SOU O QUE SOU. Disse mais: Assim dirás aos filhos de Israel: EU SOU me enviou a vós outros. 15 Disse Deus ainda mais a Moisés: Assim dirás aos filhos de Israel: O SENHOR, o Deus de vossos pais, o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaque e o Deus de Jacó, me enviou a vós outros; este é o meu nome eternamente, e assim serei lembrado de geração em geração. 16 Vai, ajunta os anciãos de Israel e dize-lhes: O SENHOR, o Deus de vossos pais, o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaque e o Deus de Jacó, me apareceu, dizendo: Em verdade vos tenho visitado e visto o que vos tem sido feito no Egito. 17 Portanto, disse eu: Far-vos-ei subir da aflição do Egito para a terra do cananeu, do heteu, do amorreu, do ferezeu, do heveu e do jebuseu, para uma terra que mana leite e mel. 18 E ouvirão a tua voz; e irás, com os anciãos de Israel, ao rei do Egito e lhe dirás: O SENHOR, o Deus dos hebreus, nos encontrou. Agora, pois, deixa-nos ir caminho de três dias para o deserto, a fim de que sacrifiquemos ao SENHOR, nosso Deus. 19 Eu sei, porém, que o rei do Egito não vos deixará ir se não for obrigado por mão forte. 20 Portanto, estenderei a mão e ferirei o Egito com todos os meus prodígios que farei no meio dele; depois, vos deixará ir. 21 Eu darei mercê a este povo aos olhos dos egípcios; e, quando sairdes, não será de mãos vazias. 22 Cada mulher pedirá à sua vizinha e à sua hóspeda jóias de prata, e jóias de ouro, e vestimentas; as quais poreis sobre vossos filhos e sobre vossas filhas; e despojareis os egípcios. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  3 Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb. 2 And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. 3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. 4 And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I. 5 And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground. 6 Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God. 7 And the Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows; 8 And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites. 9 Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them. 10 Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt. 11 And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt? 12 And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain. 13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? 14 And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you. 15 And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, the Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations. 16 Go, and gather the elders of Israel together, and say unto them, The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared unto me, saying, I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt: 17 And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt unto the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, unto a land flowing with milk and honey. 18 And they shall hearken to thy voice: and thou shalt come, thou and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and ye shall say unto him, The Lord God of the Hebrews hath met with us: and now let us go, we beseech thee, three days' journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God. 19 And I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand. 20 And I will stretch out my hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let you go. 21 And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty. 22 But every woman shall borrow of her neighbour, and of her that sojourneth in her house, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: and ye shall put them upon your sons, and upon your daughters; and ye shall spoil the Egyptians. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Lucas 8 1 Aconteceu, depois disto, que andava Jesus de cidade em cidade e de aldeia em aldeia, pregando e anunciando o evangelho do reino de Deus, e os doze iam com ele, 2 e também algumas mulheres que haviam sido curadas de espíritos malignos e de enfermidades: Maria, chamada Madalena, da qual saíram sete demônios; 3 e Joana, mulher de Cuza, procurador de Herodes, Suzana e muitas outras, as quais lhe prestavam assistência com os seus bens. 4 Afluindo uma grande multidão e vindo ter com ele gente de todas as cidades, disse Jesus por parábola: 5 Eis que o semeador saiu a semear. E, ao semear, uma parte caiu à beira do caminho; foi pisada, e as aves do céu a comeram. 6 Outra caiu sobre a pedra; e, tendo crescido, secou por falta de umidade. 7 Outra caiu no meio dos espinhos; e estes, ao crescerem com ela, a sufocaram. 8 Outra, afinal, caiu em boa terra; cresceu e produziu a cento por um. Dizendo isto, clamou: Quem tem ouvidos para ouvir, ouça. 9 E os seus discípulos o interrogaram, dizendo: Que parábola é esta? 10 Respondeu-lhes Jesus: A vós outros é dado conhecer os mistérios do reino de Deus; aos demais, fala-se por parábolas, para que, vendo, não vejam; e, ouvindo, não entendam. 11 Este é o sentido da parábola: a semente é a palavra de Deus. 12 A que caiu à beira do caminho são os que a ouviram; vem, a seguir, o diabo e arrebata-lhes do coração a palavra, para não suceder que, crendo, sejam salvos. 13 A que caiu sobre a pedra são os que, ouvindo a palavra, a recebem com alegria; estes não têm raiz, crêem apenas por algum tempo e, na hora da provação, se desviam. 14 A que caiu entre espinhos são os que ouviram e, no decorrer dos dias, foram sufocados com os cuidados, riquezas e deleites da vida; os seus frutos não chegam a amadurecer. 15 A que caiu na boa terra são os que, tendo ouvido de bom e reto coração, retêm a palavra; estes frutificam com perseverança. 16 Ninguém, depois de acender uma candeia, a cobre com um vaso ou a põe debaixo de uma cama; pelo contrário, coloca-a sobre um velador, a fim de que os que entram vejam a luz. 17 Nada há oculto, que não haja de manifestar-se, nem escondido, que não venha a ser conhecido e revelado. 18 Vede, pois, como ouvis; porque ao que tiver, se lhe dará; e ao que não tiver, até aquilo que julga ter lhe será tirado. 19 Vieram ter com ele sua mãe e seus irmãos e não podiam aproximar-se por causa da concorrência de povo. 20 E lhe comunicaram: Tua mãe e teus irmãos estão lá fora e querem ver-te. 21 Ele, porém, lhes respondeu: Minha mãe e meus irmãos são aqueles que ouvem a palavra de Deus e a praticam. 22 Aconteceu que, num daqueles dias, entrou ele num barco em companhia dos seus discípulos e disse-lhes: Passemos para a outra margem do lago; e partiram. 23 Enquanto navegavam, ele adormeceu. E sobreveio uma tempestade de vento no lago, correndo eles o perigo de soçobrar. 24 Chegando-se a ele, despertaram-no dizendo: Mestre, Mestre, estamos perecendo! Despertando-se Jesus, repreendeu o vento e a fúria da água. Tudo cessou, e veio a bonança. 25 Então, lhes disse: Onde está a vossa fé? Eles, possuídos de temor e admiração, diziam uns aos outros: Quem é este que até aos ventos e às ondas repreende, e lhe obedecem? 26 Então, rumaram para a terra dos gerasenos, fronteira da Galiléia. 27 Logo ao desembarcar, veio da cidade ao seu encontro um homem possesso de demônios que, havia muito, não se vestia, nem habitava em casa alguma, porém vivia nos sepulcros. 28 E, quando viu a Jesus, prostrou-se diante dele, exclamando e dizendo em alta voz: Que tenho eu contigo, Jesus, Filho do Deus Altíssimo? Rogo-te que não me atormentes. 29 Porque Jesus ordenara ao espírito imundo que saísse do homem, pois muitas vezes se apoderara dele. E, embora procurassem conservá-lo preso com cadeias e grilhões, tudo despedaçava e era impelido pelo demônio para o deserto. 30 Perguntou-lhe Jesus: Qual é o teu nome? Respondeu ele: Legião, porque tinham entrado nele muitos demônios. 31 Rogavam-lhe que não os mandasse sair para o abismo. 32 Ora, andava ali, pastando no monte, uma grande manada de porcos; rogaram-lhe que lhes permitisse entrar naqueles porcos. E Jesus o permitiu. 33 Tendo os demônios saído do homem, entraram nos porcos, e a manada precipitou-se despenhadeiro abaixo, para dentro do lago, e se afogou. 34 Os porqueiros, vendo o que acontecera, fugiram e foram anunciá-lo na cidade e pelos campos. 35 Então, saiu o povo para ver o que se passara, e foram ter com Jesus. De fato, acharam o homem de quem saíram os demônios, vestido, em perfeito juízo, assentado aos pés de Jesus; e ficaram dominados de terror. 36 E algumas pessoas que tinham presenciado os fatos contaram-lhes também como fora salvo o endemoninhado. 37 Todo o povo da circunvizinhança dos gerasenos rogou-lhe que se retirasse deles, pois estavam possuídos de grande medo. E Jesus, tomando de novo o barco, voltou. 38 O homem de quem tinham saído os demônios rogou-lhe que o deixasse estar com ele; Jesus, porém, o despediu, dizendo: 39 Volta para casa e conta aos teus tudo o que Deus fez por ti. Então, foi ele anunciando por toda a cidade todas as coisas que Jesus lhe tinha feito. 40 Ao regressar Jesus, a multidão o recebeu com alegria, porque todos o estavam esperando. 41 Eis que veio um homem chamado Jairo, que era chefe da sinagoga, e, prostrando-se aos pés de Jesus, lhe suplicou que chegasse até a sua casa. 42 Pois tinha uma filha única de uns doze anos, que estava à morte. Enquanto ele ia, as multidões o apertavam. 43 Certa mulher que, havia doze anos, vinha sofrendo de uma hemorragia, e a quem ninguém tinha podido curar [e que gastara com os médicos todos os seus haveres], 44 veio por trás dele e lhe tocou na orla da veste, e logo se lhe estancou a hemorragia. 45 Mas Jesus disse: Quem me tocou? Como todos negassem, Pedro [com seus companheiros] disse: Mestre, as multidões te apertam e te oprimem [e dizes: Quem me tocou?]. 46 Contudo, Jesus insistiu: Alguém me tocou, porque senti que de mim saiu poder. 47 Vendo a mulher que não podia ocultar-se, aproximou-se trêmula e, prostrando-se diante dele, declarou, à vista de todo o povo, a causa por que lhe havia tocado e como imediatamente fora curada. 48 Então, lhe disse: Filha, a tua fé te salvou; vai-te em paz. 49 Falava ele ainda, quando veio uma pessoa da casa do chefe da sinagoga, dizendo: Tua filha já está morta, não incomodes mais o Mestre. 50 Mas Jesus, ouvindo isto, lhe disse: Não temas, crê somente, e ela será salva. 51 Tendo chegado à casa, a ninguém permitiu que entrasse com ele, senão Pedro, João, Tiago e bem assim o pai e a mãe da menina. 52 E todos choravam e a pranteavam. Mas ele disse: Não choreis; ela não está morta, mas dorme. 53 E riam-se dele, porque sabiam que ela estava morta. 54 Entretanto, ele, tomando-a pela mão, disse-lhe, em voz alta: Menina, levanta-te! 55 Voltou-lhe o espírito, ela imediatamente se levantou, e ele mandou que lhe dessem de comer. 56 Seus pais ficaram maravilhados, mas ele lhes advertiu que a ninguém contassem o que havia acontecido. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  8 And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him, 2 And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils, 3 And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance. 4 And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable: 5 A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it. 6 And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture. 7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it. 8 And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. 9 And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be? 10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand. 11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. 12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. 13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. 14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. 15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience. 16 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light. 17 For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad. 18 Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have. 19 Then came to him his mother and his brethren, and could not come at him for the press. 20 And it was told him by certain which said, Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to see thee. 21 And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it. 22 Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth. 23 But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy. 24 And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm. 25 And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him. 26 And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee. 27 And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs. 28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not. 29 (For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.) 30 And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him. 31 And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep. 32 And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them. 33 Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked. 34 When they that fed them saw what was done, they fled, and went and told it in the city and in the country. 35 Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid. 36 They also which saw it told them by what means he that was possessed of the devils was healed. 37 Then the whole multitude of the country of the Gadarenes round about besought him to depart from them; for they were taken with great fear: and he went up into the ship, and returned back again. 38 Now the man out of whom the devils were departed besought him that he might be with him: but Jesus sent him away, saying, 39 Return to thine own house, and shew how great things God hath done unto thee. And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him. 40 And it came to pass, that, when Jesus was returned, the people gladly received him: for they were all waiting for him. 41 And, behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at Jesus' feet, and besought him that he would come into his house: 42 For he had one only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay a dying. But as he went the people thronged him. 43 And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, 44 Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched. 45 And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? 46 And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me. 47 And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately. 48 And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace. 49 While he yet spake, there cometh one from the ruler of the synagogue's house, saying to him, Thy daughter is dead; trouble not the Master. 50 But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole. 51 And when he came into the house, he suffered no man to go in, save Peter, and James, and John, and the father and the mother of the maiden. 52 And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth. 53 And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead. 54 And he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise. 55 And her spirit came again, and she arose straightway: and he commanded to give her meat. 56 And her parents were astonished: but he charged them that they should tell no man what was done. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Jó 21 1 Respondeu, porém, Jó: 2 Ouvi atentamente as minhas razões, e já isso me será a vossa consolação. 3 Tolerai-me, e eu falarei; e, havendo eu falado, podereis zombar. 4 Acaso, é do homem que eu me queixo? Não tenho motivo de me impacientar? 5 Olhai para mim e pasmai; e ponde a mão sobre a boca; 6 porque só de pensar nisso me perturbo, e um calafrio se apodera de toda a minha carne. 7 Como é, pois, que vivem os perversos, envelhecem e ainda se tornam mais poderosos? 8 Seus filhos se estabelecem na sua presença; e os seus descendentes, ante seus olhos. 9 As suas casas têm paz, sem temor, e a vara de Deus não os fustiga. 10 O seu touro gera e não falha, suas novilhas têm a cria e não abortam. 11 Deixam correr suas crianças, como a um rebanho, e seus filhos saltam de alegria; 12 cantam com tamboril e harpa e alegram-se ao som da flauta. 13 Passam eles os seus dias em prosperidade e em paz descem à sepultura. 14 E são estes os que disseram a Deus: Retira-te de nós! Não desejamos conhecer os teus caminhos. 15 Que é o Todo-Poderoso, para que nós o sirvamos? E que nos aproveitará que lhe façamos orações? 16 Vede, porém, que não provém deles a sua prosperidade; longe de mim o conselho dos perversos! 17 Quantas vezes sucede que se apaga a lâmpada dos perversos? Quantas vezes lhes sobrevém a destruição? Quantas vezes Deus na sua ira lhes reparte dores? 18 Quantas vezes são como a palha diante do vento e como a pragana arrebatada pelo remoinho? 19 Deus, dizeis vós, guarda a iniqüidade do perverso para seus filhos. Mas é a ele que deveria Deus dar o pago, para que o sinta. 20 Seus próprios olhos devem ver a sua ruína, e ele, beber do furor do Todo-Poderoso. 21 Porque depois de morto, cortado já o número dos seus meses, que interessa a ele a sua casa? 22 Acaso, alguém ensinará ciência a Deus, a ele que julga os que estão nos céus? 23 Um morre em pleno vigor, despreocupado e tranqüilo, 24 com seus baldes cheios de leite e fresca a medula dos seus ossos. 25 Outro, ao contrário, morre na amargura do seu coração, não havendo provado do bem. 26 Juntamente jazem no pó, onde os vermes os cobrem. 27 Vede que conheço os vossos pensamentos e os injustos desígnios com que me tratais. 28 Porque direis: Onde está a casa do príncipe, e onde, a tenda em que morava o perverso? 29 Porventura, não tendes interrogado os que viajam? E não considerastes as suas declarações, 30 que o mau é poupado no dia da calamidade, é socorrido no dia do furor? 31 Quem lhe lançará em rosto o seu proceder? Quem lhe dará o pago do que faz? 32 Finalmente, é levado à sepultura, e sobre o seu túmulo se faz vigilância. 33 Os torrões do vale lhe são leves, todos os homens o seguem, assim como não têm número os que foram adiante dele. 34 Como, pois, me consolais em vão? Teve compaixão dele e disse: Este é menino dos hebreus. 7 Então, disse sua irmã à filha de Faraó: Queres que eu vá chamar uma das hebréias que sirva de ama e te crie a criança? 8 Respondeu-lhe a filha de Faraó: Vai. Saiu, pois, a moça e chamou a mãe do menino. 9 Então, lhe disse a filha de Faraó: Leva este menino e cria-mo; pagar-te-ei o teu salário. A mulher tomou o menino e o criou. 10 Sendo o menino já grande, ela o trouxe à filha de Faraó, da qual passou ele a ser filho. Esta lhe chamou Moisés e disse: Porque das águas o tirei. 11 Naqueles dias, sendo Moisés já homem, saiu a seus irmãos e viu os seus labores penosos; e viu que certo egípcio espancava um hebreu, um do seu povo. 12 Olhou de um e de outro lado, e, vendo que não havia ali ninguém, matou o egípcio, e o escondeu na areia. 13 Saiu no dia seguinte, e eis que dois hebreus estavam brigando; e disse ao culpado: Por que espancas o teu próximo? 14 O qual respondeu: Quem te pôs por príncipe e juiz sobre nós? Pensas matar-me, como mataste o egípcio? Temeu, pois, Moisés e disse: Com certeza o descobriram. 15 Informado desse caso, procurou Faraó matar a Moisés; porém Moisés fugiu da presença de Faraó e se deteve na terra de Midiã; e assentou-se junto a um poço. 16 O sacerdote de Midiã tinha sete filhas, as quais vieram a tirar água e encheram os bebedouros para dar de beber ao rebanho de seu pai. 17 Então, vieram os pastores e as enxotaram dali; Moisés, porém, se levantou, e as defendeu, e deu de beber ao rebanho. 18 Tendo elas voltado a Reuel, seu pai, este lhes perguntou: Por que viestes, hoje, mais cedo? 19 Responderam elas: Um egípcio nos livrou das mãos dos pastores, e ainda nos tirou água, e deu de beber ao rebanho. 20 E onde está ele?, disse às filhas; por que deixastes lá o homem? Chamai-o para que coma pão. 21 Moisés consentiu em morar com aquele homem; e ele deu a Moisés sua filha Zípora, 22 a qual deu à luz um filho, a quem ele chamou Gérson, porque disse: Sou peregrino em terra estranha. 23 Decorridos muitos dias, morreu o rei do Egito; os filhos de Israel gemiam sob a servidão e por causa dela clamaram, e o seu clamor subiu a Deus. 24 Ouvindo Deus o seu gemido, lembrou-se da sua aliança com Abraão, com Isaque e com Jacó. 25 E viu Deus os filhos de Israel e atentou para a sua condição. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  2 And there went a man of the house of Levi, and took to wife a daughter of Levi. 2 And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months. 3 And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river's brink. 4 And his sister stood afar off, to wit what would be done to him. 5 And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river; and her maidens walked along by the river's side; and when she saw the ark among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it. 6 And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, This is one of the Hebrews' children. 7 Then said his sister to Pharaoh's daughter, Shall I go and call to thee a nurse of the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for thee? 8 And Pharaoh's daughter said to her, Go. And the maid went and called the child's mother. 9 And Pharaoh's daughter said unto her, Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give thee thy wages. And the women took the child, and nursed it. 10 And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh's daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water. 11 And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren. 12 And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand. 13 And when he went out the second day, behold, two men of the Hebrews strove together: and he said to him that did the wrong, Wherefore smitest thou thy fellow? 14 And he said, Who made thee a prince and a judge over us? intendest thou to kill me, as thou killedst the Egyptian? And Moses feared, and said, Surely this thing is known. 15 Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to slay Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh, and dwelt in the land of Midian: and he sat down by a well. 16 Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters: and they came and drew water, and filled the troughs to water their father's flock. 17 And the shepherds came and drove them away: but Moses stood up and helped them, and watered their flock. 18 And when they came to Reuel their father, he said, How is it that ye are come so soon to day? 19 And they said, An Egyptian delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds, and also drew water enough for us, and watered the flock. 20 And he said unto his daughters, And where is he? why is it that ye have left the man? call him, that he may eat bread. 21 And Moses was content to dwell with the man: and he gave Moses Zipporah his daughter. 22 And she bare him a son, and he called his name Gershom: for he said, I have been a stranger in a strange land. 23 And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage. 24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. 25 And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Lucas 7 1 Tendo Jesus concluído todas as suas palavras dirigidas ao povo, entrou em Cafarnaum. 2 E o servo de um centurião, a quem este muito estimava, estava doente, quase à morte. 3 Tendo ouvido falar a respeito de Jesus, enviou-lhe alguns anciãos dos judeus, pedindo-lhe que viesse curar o seu servo. 4 Estes, chegando-se a Jesus, com instância lhe suplicaram, dizendo: Ele é digno de que lhe faças isto; 5 porque é amigo do nosso povo, e ele mesmo nos edificou a sinagoga. 6 Então, Jesus foi com eles. E, já perto da casa, o centurião enviou-lhe amigos para lhe dizer: Senhor, não te incomodes, porque não sou digno de que entres em minha casa. 7 Por isso, eu mesmo não me julguei digno de ir ter contigo; porém manda com uma palavra, e o meu rapaz será curado. 8 Porque também eu sou homem sujeito à autoridade, e tenho soldados às minhas ordens, e digo a este: vai, e ele vai; e a outro: vem, e ele vem; e ao meu servo: faze isto, e ele o faz. 9 Ouvidas estas palavras, admirou-se Jesus dele e, voltando-se para o povo que o acompanhava, disse: Afirmo-vos que nem mesmo em Israel achei fé como esta. 10 E, voltando para casa os que foram enviados, encontraram curado o servo. 11 Em dia subseqüente, dirigia-se Jesus a uma cidade chamada Naim, e iam com ele os seus discípulos e numerosa multidão. 12 Como se aproximasse da porta da cidade, eis que saía o enterro do filho único de uma viúva; e grande multidão da cidade ia com ela. 13 Vendo-a, o Senhor se compadeceu dela e lhe disse: Não chores! 14 Chegando-se, tocou o esquife e, parando os que o conduziam, disse: Jovem, eu te mando: levanta-te! 15 Sentou-se o que estivera morto e passou a falar; e Jesus o restituiu a sua mãe. 16 Todos ficaram possuídos de temor e glorificavam a Deus, dizendo: Grande profeta se levantou entre nós; e: Deus visitou o seu povo. 17 Esta notícia a respeito dele divulgou-se por toda a Judéia e por toda a circunvizinhança. 18 Todas estas coisas foram referidas a João pelos seus discípulos. E João, chamando dois deles, 19 enviou-os ao Senhor para perguntar: És tu aquele que estava para vir ou havemos de esperar outro? 20 Quando os homens chegaram junto dele, disseram: João Batista enviou-nos para te perguntar: És tu aquele que estava para vir ou esperaremos outro? 21 Naquela mesma hora, curou Jesus muitos de moléstias, e de flagelos, e de espíritos malignos; e deu vista a muitos cegos. 22 Então, Jesus lhes respondeu: Ide e anunciai a João o que vistes e ouvistes: os cegos vêem, os coxos andam, os leprosos são purificados, os surdos ouvem, os mortos são ressuscitados, e aos pobres, anuncia-se-lhes o evangelho. 23 E bem-aventurado é aquele que não achar em mim motivo de tropeço. 24 Tendo-se retirado os mensageiros, passou Jesus a dizer ao povo a respeito de João: Que saístes a ver no deserto? Um caniço agitado pelo vento? 25 Que saístes a ver? Um homem vestido de roupas finas? Os que se vestem bem e vivem no luxo assistem nos palácios dos reis. 26 Sim, que saístes a ver? Um profeta? Sim, eu vos digo, e muito mais que profeta. 27 Este é aquele de quem está escrito: Eis aí envio diante da tua face o meu mensageiro, o qual preparará o teu caminho diante de ti. 28 E eu vos digo: entre os nascidos de mulher, ninguém é maior do que João; mas o menor no reino de Deus é maior do que ele. 29 Todo o povo que o ouviu e até os publicanos reconheceram a justiça de Deus, tendo sido batizados com o batismo de João; 30 mas os fariseus e os intérpretes da Lei rejeitaram, quanto a si mesmos, o desígnio de Deus, não tendo sido batizados por ele. 31 A que, pois, compararei os homens da presente geração, e a que são eles semelhantes? 32 São semelhantes a meninos que, sentados na praça, gritam uns para os outros: Nós vos tocamos flauta, e não dançastes; entoamos lamentações, e não chorastes. 33 Pois veio João Batista, não comendo pão, nem bebendo vinho, e dizeis: Tem demônio! 34 Veio o Filho do Homem, comendo e bebendo, e dizeis: Eis aí um glutão e bebedor de vinho, amigo de publicanos e pecadores! 35 Mas a sabedoria é justificada por todos os seus filhos. 36 Convidou-o um dos fariseus para que fosse jantar com ele. Jesus, entrando na casa do fariseu, tomou lugar à mesa. 37 E eis que uma mulher da cidade, pecadora, sabendo que ele estava à mesa na casa do fariseu, levou um vaso de alabastro com ungüento; 38 e, estando por detrás, aos seus pés, chorando, regava-os com suas lágrimas e os enxugava com os próprios cabelos; e beijava-lhe os pés e os ungia com o ungüento. 39 Ao ver isto, o fariseu que o convidara disse consigo mesmo: Se este fora profeta, bem saberia quem e qual é a mulher que lhe tocou, porque é pecadora. 40 Dirigiu-se Jesus ao fariseu e lhe disse: Simão, uma coisa tenho a dizer-te. Ele respondeu: Dize-a, Mestre. 41 Certo credor tinha dois devedores: um lhe devia quinhentos denários, e o outro, cinqüenta. 42 Não tendo nenhum dos dois com que pagar, perdoou-lhes a ambos. Qual deles, portanto, o amará mais? 43 Respondeu-lhe Simão: Suponho que aquele a quem mais perdoou. Replicou-lhe: Julgaste bem. 44 E, voltando-se para a mulher, disse a Simão: Vês esta mulher? Entrei em tua casa, e não me deste água para os pés; esta, porém, regou os meus pés com lágrimas e os enxugou com os seus cabelos. 45 Não me deste ósculo; ela, entretanto, desde que entrei não cessa de me beijar os pés. 46 Não me ungiste a cabeça com óleo, mas esta, com bálsamo, ungiu os meus pés. 47 Por isso, te digo: perdoados lhe são os seus muitos pecados, porque ela muito amou; mas aquele a quem pouco se perdoa, pouco ama. 48 Então, disse à mulher: Perdoados são os teus pecados. 49 Os que estavam com ele à mesa começaram a dizer entre si: Quem é este que até perdoa pecados? 50 Mas Jesus disse à mulher: A tua fé te salvou; vai-te em paz. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  7 Now when he had ended all his sayings in the audience of the people, he entered into Capernaum. 2 And a certain centurion's servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die. 3 And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant. 4 And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this: 5 For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue. 6 Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof: 7 Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed. 8 For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. 9 When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. 10 And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick. 11 And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people. 12 Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her. 13 And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not. 14 And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. 15 And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother. 16 And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people. 17 And this rumour of him went forth throughout all Judaea, and throughout all the region round about. 18 And the disciples of John shewed him of all these things. 19 And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another? 20 When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another? 21 And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight. 22 Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached. 23 And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me. 24 And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto the people concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness for to see? A reed shaken with the wind? 25 But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings' courts. 26 But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet. 27 This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. 28 For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he. 29 And all the people that heard him, and the publicans, justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John. 30 But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him. 31 And the Lord said, Whereunto then shall I liken the men of this generation? and to what are they like? 32 They are like unto children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, and saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned to you, and ye have not wept. 33 For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil. 34 The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners! 35 But wisdom is justified of all her children. 36 And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat. 37 And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, 38 And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment. 39 Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner. 40 And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on. 41 There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty. 42 And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most? 43 Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged. 44 And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head. 45 Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet. 46 My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment. 47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little. 48 And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven. 49 And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also? 50 And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Jó 20 1 Então, respondeu Zofar, o naamatita: 2 Visto que os meus pensamentos me impõem resposta, eu me apresso. 3 Eu ouvi a repreensão, que me envergonha, mas o meu espírito me obriga a responder segundo o meu entendimento. 4 Porventura, não sabes tu que desde todos os tempos, desde que o homem foi posto sobre a terra, 5 o júbilo dos perversos é breve, e a alegria dos ímpios, momentânea? 6 Ainda que a sua presunção remonte aos céus, e a sua cabeça atinja as nuvens, 7 como o seu próprio esterco, apodrecerá para sempre; e os que o conheceram dirão: Onde está? 8 Voará como um sonho e não será achado, será afugentado como uma visão da noite. 9 Os olhos que o viram jamais o verão, e o seu lugar não o verá outra vez. 10 Os seus filhos procurarão aplacar aos pobres, e as suas mãos lhes restaurarão os seus bens. 11 Ainda que os seus ossos estejam cheios do vigor da sua juventude, esse vigor se deitará com ele no pó. 12 Ainda que o mal lhe seja doce na boca, e ele o esconda debaixo da língua, 13 e o saboreie, e o não deixe; antes, o retenha no seu paladar, 14 contudo, a sua comida se transformará nas suas entranhas; fel de áspides será no seu interior. 15 Engoliu riquezas, mas vomitá-las-á; do seu ventre Deus as lançará. 16 Veneno de áspides sorveu; língua de víbora o matará. 17 Não se deliciará com a vista dos ribeiros e dos rios transbordantes de mel e de leite. 18 Devolverá o fruto do seu trabalho e não o engolirá; do lucro de sua barganha não tirará prazer nenhum. 19 Oprimiu e desamparou os pobres, roubou casas que não edificou. 20 Por não haver limites à sua cobiça, não chegará a salvar as coisas por ele desejadas. 21 Nada escapou à sua cobiça insaciável, pelo que a sua prosperidade não durará. 22 Na plenitude da sua abastança, ver-se-á angustiado; toda a força da miséria virá sobre ele. 23 Para encher a sua barriga, Deus mandará sobre ele o furor da sua ira, que, por alimento, mandará chover sobre ele. 24 Se fugir das armas de ferro, o arco de bronze o traspassará. 25 Ele arranca das suas costas a flecha, e esta vem resplandecente do seu fel; e haverá assombro sobre ele. 26 Todas as calamidades serão reservadas contra os seus tesouros; fogo não assoprado o consumirá, fogo que se apascentará do que ficar na sua tenda. 27 Os céus lhe manifestarão a sua iniqüidade; e a terra se levantará contra ele. 28 As riquezas de sua casa serão transportadas; como água serão derramadas no dia da ira de Deus. 29 Tal é, da parte de Deus, a sorte do homem perverso, tal a herança decretada por Deus. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  20 Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said, 2 Therefore do my thoughts cause me to answer, and for this I make haste. 3 I have heard the check of my reproach, and the spirit of my understanding causeth me to answer. 4 Knowest thou not this of old, since man was placed upon earth, 5 That the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but for a moment? 6 Though his excellency mount up to the heavens, and his head reach unto the clouds; 7 Yet he shall perish for ever like his own dung: they which have seen him shall say, Where is he? 8 He shall fly away as a dream, and shall not be found: yea, he shall be chased away as a vision of the night. 9 The eye also which saw him shall see him no more; neither shall his place any more behold him. 10 His children shall seek to please the poor, and his hands shall restore their goods. 11 His bones are full of the sin of his youth, which shall lie down with him in the dust. 12 Though wickedness be sweet in his mouth, though he hide it under his tongue; 13 Though he spare it, and forsake it not; but keep it still within his mouth: 14 Yet his meat in his bowels is turned, it is the gall of asps within him. 15 He hath swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them up again: God shall cast them out of his belly. 16 He shall suck the poison of asps: the viper's tongue shall slay him. 17 He shall not see the rivers, the floods, the brooks of honey and butter. 18 That which he laboured for shall he restore, and shall not swallow it down: according to his substance shall the restitution be, and he shall not rejoice therein. 19 Because he hath oppressed and hath forsaken the poor; because he hath violently taken away an house which he builded not; 20 Surely he shall not feel quietness in his belly, he shall not save of that which he desired. 21 There shall none of his meat be left; therefore shall no man look for his goods. 22 In the fulness of his sufficiency he shall be in straits: every hand of the wicked shall come upon him. 23 When he is about to fill his belly, God shall cast the fury of his wrath upon him, and shall rain it upon him while he is eating. 24 He shall flee from the iron weapon, and the bow of steel shall strike him through. 25 It is drawn, and cometh out of the body; yea, the glittering sword cometh out of his gall: terrors are upon him. 26 All darkness shall be hid in his secret places: a fire not blown shall consume him; it shall go ill with him that is left in his tabernacle. 27 The heaven shall reveal his iniquity; and the earth shall rise up against him. 28 The increase of his house shall depart, and his goods shall flow away in the day of his wrath. 29 This is the portion of a wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed unto him by God. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦
