Respondeu-lhes Moisés: Por que contendeis comigo? Por que tentais ao SENHOR? 3 Tendo aí o povo sede de água, murmurou contra Moisés e disse: Por que nos fizeste subir do Egito, para nos matares de sede, a nós, a nossos filhos e aos nossos rebanhos? 4 Então, clamou Moisés ao SENHOR: Que farei a este povo? Só lhe resta apedrejar-me. 5 Respondeu o SENHOR a Moisés: Passa adiante do povo e toma contigo alguns dos anciãos de Israel, leva contigo em mão o bordão com que feriste o rio e vai. 6 Eis que estarei ali diante de ti sobre a rocha em Horebe; ferirás a rocha, e dela sairá água, e o povo beberá. Moisés assim o fez na presença dos anciãos de Israel. 7 E chamou o nome daquele lugar Massá e Meribá, por causa da contenda dos filhos de Israel e porque tentaram ao SENHOR, dizendo: Está o SENHOR no meio de nós ou não? 8 Então, veio Amaleque e pelejou contra Israel em Refidim. 9 Com isso, ordenou Moisés a Josué: Escolhe-nos homens, e sai, e peleja contra Amaleque; amanhã, estarei eu no cimo do outeiro, e o bordão de Deus estará na minha mão. 10 Fez Josué como Moisés lhe dissera e pelejou contra Amaleque; Moisés, porém, Arão e Hur subiram ao cimo do outeiro. 11 Quando Moisés levantava a mão, Israel prevalecia; quando, porém, ele abaixava a mão, prevalecia Amaleque. 12 Ora, as mãos de Moisés eram pesadas; por isso, tomaram uma pedra e a puseram por baixo dele, e ele nela se assentou; Arão e Hur sustentavam-lhe as mãos, um, de um lado, e o outro, do outro; assim lhe ficaram as mãos firmes até ao pôr-do-sol. 13 E Josué desbaratou a Amaleque e a seu povo a fio de espada. 14 Então, disse o SENHOR a Moisés: Escreve isto para memória num livro e repete-o a Josué; porque eu hei de riscar totalmente a memória de Amaleque de debaixo do céu. 15 E Moisés edificou um altar e lhe chamou: O SENHOR É Minha Bandeira. 16 E disse: Porquanto o SENHOR jurou, haverá guerra do SENHOR contra Amaleque de geração em geração. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  17 And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the Lord, and pitched in Rephidim: and there was no water for the people to drink. 2 Wherefore the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide ye with me? wherefore do ye tempt the Lord? 3 And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore is this that thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst? 4 And Moses cried unto the Lord, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me. 5 And the Lord said unto Moses, Go on before the people, and take with thee of the elders of Israel; and thy rod, wherewith thou smotest the river, take in thine hand, and go. 6 Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel. 7 And he called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the chiding of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the Lord, saying, Is the Lord among us, or not? 8 Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim. 9 And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand. 10 So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. 11 And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. 12 But Moses hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. 13 And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword. 14 And the Lord said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven. 15 And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi: 16 For he said, Because the Lord hath sworn that the Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Lucas 21 1 Estando Jesus a observar, viu os ricos lançarem suas ofertas no gazofilácio. 2 Viu também certa viúva pobre lançar ali duas pequenas moedas; 3 e disse: Verdadeiramente, vos digo que esta viúva pobre deu mais do que todos. 4 Porque todos estes deram como oferta daquilo que lhes sobrava; esta, porém, da sua pobreza deu tudo o que possuía, todo o seu sustento. 5 Falavam alguns a respeito do templo, como estava ornado de belas pedras e de dádivas; 6 então, disse Jesus: Vedes estas coisas? Dias virão em que não ficará pedra sobre pedra que não seja derribada. 7 Perguntaram-lhe: Mestre, quando sucederá isto? E que sinal haverá de quando estas coisas estiverem para se cumprir? 8 Respondeu ele: Vede que não sejais enganados; porque muitos virão em meu nome, dizendo: Sou eu! E também: Chegou a hora! Não os sigais. 9 Quando ouvirdes falar de guerras e revoluções, não vos assusteis; pois é necessário que primeiro aconteçam estas coisas, mas o fim não será logo. 10 Então, lhes disse: Levantar-se-á nação contra nação, e reino, contra reino; 11 haverá grandes terremotos, epidemias e fome em vários lugares, coisas espantosas e também grandes sinais do céu. 12 Antes, porém, de todas estas coisas, lançarão mão de vós e vos perseguirão, entregando-vos às sinagogas e aos cárceres, levando-vos à presença de reis e governadores, por causa do meu nome; 13 e isto vos acontecerá para que deis testemunho. 14 Assentai, pois, em vosso coração de não vos preocupardes com o que haveis de responder; 15 porque eu vos darei boca e sabedoria a que não poderão resistir, nem contradizer todos quantos se vos opuserem. 16 E sereis entregues até por vossos pais, irmãos, parentes e amigos; e matarão alguns dentre vós. 17 De todos sereis odiados por causa do meu nome. 18 Contudo, não se perderá um só fio de cabelo da vossa cabeça. 19 É na vossa perseverança que ganhareis a vossa alma. 20 Quando, porém, virdes Jerusalém sitiada de exércitos, sabei que está próxima a sua devastação. 21 Então, os que estiverem na Judéia, fujam para os montes; os que se encontrarem dentro da cidade, retirem-se; e os que estiverem nos campos, não entrem nela. 22 Porque estes dias são de vingança, para se cumprir tudo o que está escrito. 23 Ai das que estiverem grávidas e das que amamentarem naqueles dias! Porque haverá grande aflição na terra e ira contra este povo. 24 Cairão a fio de espada e serão levados cativos para todas as nações; e, até que os tempos dos gentios se completem, Jerusalém será pisada por eles. 25 Haverá sinais no sol, na lua e nas estrelas; sobre a terra, angústia entre as nações em perplexidade por causa do bramido do mar e das ondas; 26 haverá homens que desmaiarão de terror e pela expectativa das coisas que sobrevirão ao mundo; pois os poderes dos céus serão abalados. 27 Então, se verá o Filho do Homem vindo numa nuvem, com poder e grande glória. 28 Ora, ao começarem estas coisas a suceder, exultai e erguei a vossa cabeça; porque a vossa redenção se aproxima. 29 Ainda lhes propôs uma parábola, dizendo: Vede a figueira e todas as árvores. 30 Quando começam a brotar, vendo-o, sabeis, por vós mesmos, que o verão está próximo. 31 Assim também, quando virdes acontecerem estas coisas, sabei que está próximo o reino de Deus. 32 Em verdade vos digo que não passará esta geração, sem que tudo isto aconteça. 33 Passará o céu e a terra, porém as minhas palavras não passarão. 34 Acautelai-vos por vós mesmos, para que nunca vos suceda que o vosso coração fique sobrecarregado com as conseqüências da orgia, da embriaguez e das preocupações deste mundo, e para que aquele dia não venha sobre vós repentinamente, como um laço. 35 Pois há de sobrevir a todos os que vivem sobre a face de toda a terra. 36 Vigiai, pois, a todo tempo, orando, para que possais escapar de todas estas coisas que têm de suceder e estar em pé na presença do Filho do Homem. 37 Jesus ensinava todos os dias no templo, mas à noite, saindo, ia pousar no monte chamado das Oliveiras. 38 E todo o povo madrugava para ir ter com ele no templo, a fim de ouvi-lo. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  21 And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury. 2 And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites. 3 And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all: 4 For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had. 5 And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, he said, 6 As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. 7 And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass? 8 And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them. 9 But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by. 10 Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: 11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. 12 But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake. 13 And it shall turn to you for a testimony. 14 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: 15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. 16 And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. 17 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake. 18 But there shall not an hair of your head perish. 19 In your patience possess ye your souls. 20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. 21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. 22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. 23 But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people. 24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. 25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; 26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. 27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. 29 And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; 30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. 31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. 32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. 33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. 34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. 35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. 37 And in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives. 38 And all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple, for to hear him. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Jó 36 1 Prosseguiu Eliú e disse: 2 Mais um pouco de paciência, e te mostrarei que ainda tenho argumentos a favor de Deus. 3 De longe trarei o meu conhecimento e ao meu Criador atribuirei a justiça. 4 Porque, na verdade, as minhas palavras não são falsas; contigo está quem é senhor do assunto. 5 Eis que Deus é mui grande; contudo a ninguém despreza; é grande na força da sua compreensão. 6 Não poupa a vida ao perverso, mas faz justiça aos aflitos. 7 Dos justos não tira os olhos; antes, com os reis, no trono os assenta para sempre, e são exaltados. 8 Se estão presos em grilhões e amarrados com cordas de aflição, 9 ele lhes faz ver as suas obras, as suas transgressões, e que se houveram com soberba. 10 Abre-lhes também os ouvidos para a instrução e manda-lhes que se convertam da iniqüidade. 11 Se o ouvirem e o servirem, acabarão seus dias em felicidade e os seus anos em delícias. 12 Porém, se não o ouvirem, serão traspassados pela lança e morrerão na sua cegueira. 13 Os ímpios de coração amontoam para si a ira; e, agrilhoados por Deus, não clamam por socorro. 14 Perdem a vida na sua mocidade e morrem entre os prostitutos cultuais. 15 Ao aflito livra por meio da sua aflição e pela opressão lhe abre os ouvidos. 16 Assim também procura tirar-te das fauces da angústia para um lugar espaçoso, em que não há aperto, e as iguarias da tua mesa seriam cheias de gordura; 17 mas tu te enches do juízo do perverso, e, por isso, o juízo e a justiça te alcançarão. 18 Guarda-te, pois, de que a ira não te induza a escarnecer, nem te desvie a grande quantia do resgate. 19 Estimaria ele as tuas lamúrias e todos os teus grandes esforços, para que te vejas livre da tua angústia? 20 Não suspires pela noite, em que povos serão tomados do seu lugar. 21 Guarda-te, não te inclines para a iniqüidade; pois isso preferes à tua miséria. 22 Eis que Deus se mostra grande em seu poder! Quem é mestre como ele? 23 Quem lhe prescreveu o seu caminho ou quem lhe pode dizer: Praticaste a injustiça? 24 Lembra-te de lhe magnificares as obras que os homens celebram. 25 Todos os homens as contemplam; de longe as admira o homem. 26 Eis que Deus é grande, e não o podemos compreender; o número dos seus anos não se pode calcular. 27 Porque atrai para si as gotas de água que de seu vapor destilam em chuva, 28 a qual as nuvens derramam e gotejam sobre o homem abundantemente. 29 Acaso, pode alguém entender o estender-se das nuvens e os trovões do seu pavilhão? 30 Eis que estende sobre elas o seu relâmpago e encobre as profundezas do mar. 31 Pois por estas coisas julga os povos e lhes dá mantimento em abundância. 32 Enche as mãos de relâmpagos e os dardeja contra o adversário. 33 O fragor da tempestade dá notícias a respeito dele, dele que é zeloso na sua ira contra a injustiça. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  36 Elihu also proceeded, and said, 2 Suffer me a little, and I will shew thee that I have yet to speak on God's behalf. 3 I will fetch my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker. 4 For truly my words shall not be false: he that is perfect in knowledge is with thee. 5 Behold, God is mighty, and despiseth not any: he is mighty in strength and wisdom. 6 He preserveth not the life of the wicked: but giveth right to the poor. 7 He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: but with kings are they on the throne; yea, he doth establish them for ever, and they are exalted. 8 And if they be bound in fetters, and be holden in cords of affliction; 9 Then he sheweth them their work, and their transgressions that they have exceeded. 10 He openeth also their ear to discipline, and commandeth that they return from iniquity. 11 If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures. 12 But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge. 13 But the hypocrites in heart heap up wrath: they cry not when he bindeth them. 14 They die in youth, and their life is among the unclean. 15 He delivereth the poor in his affliction, and openeth their ears in oppression. 16 Even so would he have removed thee out of the strait into a broad place, where there is no straitness; and that which should be set on thy table should be full of fatness. 17 But thou hast fulfilled the judgment of the wicked: judgment and justice take hold on thee. 18 Because there is wrath, beware lest he take thee away with his stroke: then a great ransom cannot deliver thee. 19 Will he esteem thy riches? no, not gold, nor all the forces of strength. 20 Desire not the night, when people are cut off in their place. 21 Take heed, regard not iniquity: for this hast thou chosen rather than affliction. 22 Behold, God exalteth by his power: who teacheth like him? 23 Who hath enjoined him his way? or who can say, Thou hast wrought iniquity? 24 Remember that thou magnify his work, which men behold. 25 Every man may see it; man may behold it afar off. 26 Behold, God is great, and we know him not, neither can the number of his years be searched out. 27 For he maketh small the drops of water: they pour down rain according to the vapour thereof: 28 Which the clouds do drop and distil upon man abundantly. 29 Also can any understand the spreadings of the clouds, or the noise of his tabernacle? 30 Behold, he spreadeth his light upon it, and covereth the bottom of the sea. 31 For by them judgeth he the people; he giveth meat in abundance. 32 With clouds he covereth the light; and commandeth it not to shine by the cloud that cometh betwixt. 33 The noise thereof sheweth concerning it, the cattle also concerning the vapour. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦

LEITURA Bíblia Sagrada Versão - João Ferreira de Almeida - 2ª edição PT-BR King James Version      Êxodo 16 Lucas 20  Jó 35 LEITURA  6º DIA  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Êxodo 16 1 Partiram de Elim, e toda a congregação dos filhos de Israel veio para o deserto de Sim, que está entre Elim e Sinai, aos quinze dias do segundo mês, depois que saíram da terra do Egito. 2 Toda a congregação dos filhos de Israel murmurou contra Moisés e Arão no deserto; 3 disseram-lhes os filhos de Israel: Quem nos dera tivéssemos morrido pela mão do SENHOR, na terra do Egito, quando estávamos sentados junto às panelas de carne e comíamos pão a fartar! Pois nos trouxestes a este deserto, para matardes de fome toda esta multidão. 4 Então, disse o SENHOR a Moisés: Eis que vos farei chover do céu pão, e o povo sairá e colherá diariamente a porção para cada dia, para que eu ponha à prova se anda na minha lei ou não. 5 Dar-se-á que, ao sexto dia, prepararão o que colherem; e será o dobro do que colhem cada dia. 6 Então, disse Moisés e Arão a todos os filhos de Israel: à tarde, sabereis que foi o SENHOR quem vos tirou da terra do Egito, 7 e, pela manhã, vereis a glória do SENHOR, porquanto ouviu as vossas murmurações; pois quem somos nós, para que murmureis contra nós? 8 Prosseguiu Moisés: Será isso quando o SENHOR, à tarde, vos der carne para comer e, pela manhã, pão que vos farte, porquanto o SENHOR ouviu as vossas murmurações, com que vos queixais contra ele; pois quem somos nós? As vossas murmurações não são contra nós, e sim contra o SENHOR. 9 Disse Moisés a Arão: Dize a toda a congregação dos filhos de Israel: Chegai-vos à presença do SENHOR, pois ouviu as vossas murmurações. 10 Quando Arão falava a toda a congregação dos filhos de Israel, olharam para o deserto, e eis que a glória do SENHOR apareceu na nuvem. 11 E o SENHOR disse a Moisés: 12 Tenho ouvido as murmurações dos filhos de Israel; dize-lhes: Ao crepúsculo da tarde, comereis carne, e, pela manhã, vos fartareis de pão, e sabereis que eu sou o SENHOR, vosso Deus. 13 À tarde, subiram codornizes e cobriram o arraial; pela manhã, jazia o orvalho ao redor do arraial. 14 E, quando se evaporou o orvalho que caíra, na superfície do deserto restava uma coisa fina e semelhante a escamas, fina como a geada sobre a terra. 15 Vendo-a os filhos de Israel, disseram uns aos outros: Que é isto? Pois não sabiam o que era. Disse-lhes Moisés: Isto é o pão que o SENHOR vos dá para vosso alimento. 16 Eis o que o SENHOR vos ordenou: Colhei disso cada um segundo o que pode comer, um gômer por cabeça, segundo o número de vossas pessoas; cada um tomará para os que se acharem na sua tenda. 17 Assim o fizeram os filhos de Israel; e colheram, uns, mais, outros, menos. 18 Porém, medindo-o com o gômer, não sobejava ao que colhera muito, nem faltava ao que colhera pouco, pois colheram cada um quanto podia comer. 19 Disse-lhes Moisés: Ninguém deixe dele para a manhã seguinte. 20 Eles, porém, não deram ouvidos a Moisés, e alguns deixaram do maná para a manhã seguinte; porém deu bichos e cheirava mal. E Moisés se indignou contra eles. 21 Colhiam-no, pois, manhã após manhã, cada um quanto podia comer; porque, em vindo o calor, se derretia. 22 Ao sexto dia, colheram pão em dobro, dois gômeres para cada um; e os principais da congregação vieram e contaram-no a Moisés. 23 Respondeu-lhes ele: Isto é o que disse o SENHOR: Amanhã é repouso, o santo sábado do SENHOR; o que quiserdes cozer no forno, cozei-o, e o que quiserdes cozer em água, cozei-o em água; e tudo o que sobrar separai, guardando para a manhã seguinte. 24 E guardaram-no até pela manhã seguinte, como Moisés ordenara; e não cheirou mal, nem deu bichos. 25 Então, disse Moisés: Comei-o hoje, porquanto o sábado é do SENHOR; hoje, não o achareis no campo. 26 Seis dias o colhereis, mas o sétimo dia é o sábado; nele, não haverá. 27 Ao sétimo dia, saíram alguns do povo para o colher, porém não o acharam. 28 Então, disse o SENHOR a Moisés: Até quando recusareis guardar os meus mandamentos e as minhas leis? 29 Considerai que o SENHOR vos deu o sábado; por isso, ele, no sexto dia, vos dá pão para dois dias; cada um fique onde está, ninguém saia do seu lugar no sétimo dia. 30 Assim, descansou o povo no sétimo dia. 31 Deu-lhe a casa de Israel o nome de maná; era como semente de coentro, branco e de sabor como bolos de mel. 32 Disse Moisés: Esta é a palavra que o SENHOR ordenou: Dele encherás um gômer e o guardarás para as vossas gerações, para que vejam o pão com que vos sustentei no deserto, quando vos tirei do Egito. 33 Disse também Moisés a Arão: Toma um vaso, mete nele um gômer cheio de maná e coloca-o diante do SENHOR, para guardar-se às vossas gerações. 34 Como o SENHOR ordenara a Moisés, assim Arão o colocou diante do Testemunho para o guardar. 35 E comeram os filhos de Israel maná quarenta anos, até que entraram em terra habitada; comeram maná até que chegaram aos limites da terra de Canaã. 36 Gômer é a décima parte do efa. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  16 And they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came unto the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt. 2 And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness: 3 And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger. 4 Then said the Lord unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no. 5 And it shall come to pass, that on the sixth day they shall prepare that which they bring in; and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily. 6 And Moses and Aaron said unto all the children of Israel, At even, then ye shall know that the Lord hath brought you out from the land of Egypt: 7 And in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of the Lord; for that he heareth your murmurings against the Lord: and what are we, that ye murmur against us? 8 And Moses said, This shall be, when the Lord shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that the Lord heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against the Lord. 9 And Moses spake unto Aaron, Say unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, Come near before the Lord: for he hath heard your murmurings. 10 And it came to pass, as Aaron spake unto the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and, behold, the glory of the Lord appeared in the cloud. 11 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 12 I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel: speak unto them, saying, At even ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I am the Lord your God. 13 And it came to pass, that at even the quails came up, and covered the camp: and in the morning the dew lay round about the host. 14 And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground. 15 And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the Lord hath given you to eat. 16 This is the thing which the Lord hath commanded, Gather of it every man according to his eating, an omer for every man, according to the number of your persons; take ye every man for them which are in his tents. 17 And the children of Israel did so, and gathered, some more, some less. 18 And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating. 19 And Moses said, Let no man leave of it till the morning. 20 Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Moses; but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and stank: and Moses was wroth with them. 21 And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating: and when the sun waxed hot, it melted. 22 And it came to pass, that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for one man: and all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses. 23 And he said unto them, This is that which the Lord hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the Lord: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning. 24 And they laid it up till the morning, as Moses bade: and it did not stink, neither was there any worm therein. 25 And Moses said, Eat that to day; for to day is a sabbath unto the Lord: to day ye shall not find it in the field. 26 Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the sabbath, in it there shall be none. 27 And it came to pass, that there went out some of the people on the seventh day for to gather, and they found none. 28 And the Lord said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws? 29 See, for that the Lord hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day. 30 So the people rested on the seventh day. 31 And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey. 32 And Moses said, This is the thing which the Lord commandeth, Fill an omer of it to be kept for your generations; that they may see the bread wherewith I have fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you forth from the land of Egypt. 33 And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a pot, and put an omer full of manna therein, and lay it up before the Lord, to be kept for your generations. 34 As the Lord commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept. 35 And the children of Israel did eat manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat manna, until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan. 36 Now an omer is the tenth part of an ephah. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Lucas 20 1 Aconteceu que, num daqueles dias, estando Jesus a ensinar o povo no templo e a evangelizar, sobrevieram os principais sacerdotes e os escribas, juntamente com os anciãos, 2 e o argüiram nestes termos: Dize-nos: com que autoridade fazes estas coisas? Ou quem te deu esta autoridade? 3 Respondeu-lhes: Também eu vos farei uma pergunta; dizei-me: 4 o batismo de João era dos céus ou dos homens? 5 Então, eles arrazoavam entre si: Se dissermos: do céu, ele dirá: Por que não acreditastes nele? 6 Mas, se dissermos: dos homens, o povo todo nos apedrejará; porque está convicto de ser João um profeta. 7 Por fim, responderam que não sabiam. 8 Então, Jesus lhes replicou: Pois nem eu vos digo com que autoridade faço estas coisas. 9 A seguir, passou Jesus a proferir ao povo esta parábola: Certo homem plantou uma vinha, arrendou-a a lavradores e ausentou-se do país por prazo considerável. 10 No devido tempo, mandou um servo aos lavradores para que lhe dessem do fruto da vinha; os lavradores, porém, depois de o espancarem, o despacharam vazio. 11 Em vista disso, enviou-lhes outro servo; mas eles também a este espancaram e, depois de o ultrajarem, o despacharam vazio. 12 Mandou ainda um terceiro; também a este, depois de o ferirem, expulsaram. 13 Então, disse o dono da vinha: Que farei? Enviarei o meu filho amado; talvez o respeitem. 14 Vendo-o, porém, os lavradores, arrazoavam entre si, dizendo: Este é o herdeiro; matemo-lo, para que a herança venha a ser nossa. 15 E, lançando-o fora da vinha, o mataram. Que lhes fará, pois, o dono da vinha? 16 Virá, exterminará aqueles lavradores e passará a vinha a outros. Ao ouvirem isto, disseram: Tal não aconteça! 17 Mas Jesus, fitando-os, disse: Que quer dizer, pois, o que está escrito: A pedra que os construtores rejeitaram, esta veio a ser a principal pedra, angular? 18 Todo o que cair sobre esta pedra ficará em pedaços; e aquele sobre quem ela cair ficará reduzido a pó. 19 Naquela mesma hora, os escribas e os principais sacerdotes procuravam lançar-lhe as mãos, pois perceberam que, em referência a eles, dissera esta parábola; mas temiam o povo. 20 Observando-o, subornaram emissários que se fingiam de justos para verem se o apanhavam em alguma palavra, a fim de entregá-lo à jurisdição e à autoridade do governador. 21 Então, o consultaram, dizendo: Mestre, sabemos que falas e ensinas retamente e não te deixas levar de respeitos humanos, porém ensinas o caminho de Deus segundo a verdade; 22 é lícito pagar tributo a César ou não? 23 Mas Jesus, percebendo-lhes o ardil, respondeu: 24 Mostrai-me um denário. De quem é a efígie e a inscrição? Prontamente disseram: De César. Então, lhes recomendou Jesus: 25 Dai, pois, a César o que é de César e a Deus o que é de Deus. 26 Não puderam apanhá-lo em palavra alguma diante do povo; e, admirados da sua resposta, calaram-se. 27 Chegando alguns dos saduceus, homens que dizem não haver ressurreição, 28 perguntaram-lhe: Mestre, Moisés nos deixou escrito que, se morrer o irmão de alguém, sendo aquele casado e não deixando filhos, seu irmão deve casar com a viúva e suscitar descendência ao falecido. 29 Ora, havia sete irmãos: o primeiro casou e morreu sem filhos; 30 o segundo e o terceiro também desposaram a viúva; 31 igualmente os sete não tiveram filhos e morreram. 32 Por fim, morreu também a mulher. 33 Esta mulher, pois, no dia da ressurreição, de qual deles será esposa? Porque os sete a desposaram. 34 Então, lhes acrescentou Jesus: Os filhos deste mundo casam-se e dão-se em casamento; 35 mas os que são havidos por dignos de alcançar a era vindoura e a ressurreição dentre os mortos não casam, nem se dão em casamento. 36 Pois não podem mais morrer, porque são iguais aos anjos e são filhos de Deus, sendo filhos da ressurreição. 37 E que os mortos hão de ressuscitar, Moisés o indicou no trecho referente à sarça, quando chama ao Senhor o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaque e o Deus de Jacó. 38 Ora, Deus não é Deus de mortos, e sim de vivos; porque para ele todos vivem. 39 Então, disseram alguns dos escribas: Mestre, respondeste bem! 40 Dali por diante, não ousaram mais interrogá-lo. 41 Mas Jesus lhes perguntou: Como podem dizer que o Cristo é filho de Davi? 42 Visto como o próprio Davi afirma no livro dos Salmos: Disse o Senhor ao meu Senhor: Assenta-te à minha direita, 43 até que eu ponha os teus inimigos por estrado dos teus pés. 44 Assim, pois, Davi lhe chama Senhor, e como pode ser ele seu filho? 45 Ouvindo-o todo o povo, recomendou Jesus a seus discípulos: 46 Guardai-vos dos escribas, que gostam de andar com vestes talares e muito apreciam as saudações nas praças, as primeiras cadeiras nas sinagogas e os primeiros lugares nos banquetes; 47 os quais devoram as casas das viúvas e, para o justificar, fazem longas orações; estes sofrerão juízo muito mais severo. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  20 And it came to pass, that on one of those days, as he taught the people in the temple, and preached the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes came upon him with the elders, 2 And spake unto him, saying, Tell us, by what authority doest thou these things? or who is he that gave thee this authority? 3 And he answered and said unto them, I will also ask you one thing; and answer me: 4 The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? 5 And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then believed ye him not? 6 But and if we say, Of men; all the people will stone us: for they be persuaded that John was a prophet. 7 And they answered, that they could not tell whence it was. 8 And Jesus said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things. 9 Then began he to speak to the people this parable; A certain man planted a vineyard, and let it forth to husbandmen, and went into a far country for a long time. 10 And at the season he sent a servant to the husbandmen, that they should give him of the fruit of the vineyard: but the husbandmen beat him, and sent him away empty. 11 And again he sent another servant: and they beat him also, and entreated him shamefully, and sent him away empty. 12 And again he sent a third: and they wounded him also, and cast him out. 13 Then said the lord of the vineyard, What shall I do? I will send my beloved son: it may be they will reverence him when they see him. 14 But when the husbandmen saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, This is the heir: come, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours. 15 So they cast him out of the vineyard, and killed him. What therefore shall the lord of the vineyard do unto them? 16 He shall come and destroy these husbandmen, and shall give the vineyard to others. And when they heard it, they said, God forbid. 17 And he beheld them, and said, What is this then that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner? 18 Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder. 19 And the chief priests and the scribes the same hour sought to lay hands on him; and they feared the people: for they perceived that he had spoken this parable against them. 20 And they watched him, and sent forth spies, which should feign themselves just men, that they might take hold of his words, that so they might deliver him unto the power and authority of the governor. 21 And they asked him, saying, Master, we know that thou sayest and teachest rightly, neither acceptest thou the person of any, but teachest the way of God truly: 22 Is it lawful for us to give tribute unto Caesar, or no? 23 But he perceived their craftiness, and said unto them, Why tempt ye me? 24 Shew me a penny.
