Números 23
1 Então, Balaão disse a Balaque: Edifica-me, aqui, sete altares e prepara-me sete novilhos e sete carneiros.
2 Fez, pois, Balaque como Balaão dissera; e Balaque e Balaão ofereceram um novilho e um carneiro sobre cada altar.
3 Disse mais Balaão a Balaque: Fica-te junto do teu holocausto, e eu irei; porventura, o SENHOR me sairá ao encontro, e o que me mostrar to notificarei. Então, subiu a um morro desnudo.
4 Encontrando-se Deus com Balaão, este lhe disse: Preparei sete altares e sobre cada um ofereci um novilho e um carneiro.
5 Então, o SENHOR pôs a palavra na boca de Balaão e disse: Torna para Balaque e falarás assim.
6 E, tornando para ele, eis que estava junto do seu holocausto, ele e todos os príncipes dos moabitas.
7 Então, proferiu a sua palavra e disse: Balaque me fez vir de Arã, o rei de Moabe, dos montes do Oriente; vem, amaldiçoa-me a Jacó, e vem, denuncia a Israel.
8 Como posso amaldiçoar a quem Deus não amaldiçoou? Como posso denunciar a quem o SENHOR não denunciou?
9 Pois do cimo das penhas vejo Israel e dos outeiros o contemplo: eis que é povo que habita só e não será reputado entre as nações.
10 Quem contou o pó de Jacó ou enumerou a quarta parte de Israel? Que eu morra a morte dos justos, e o meu fim seja como o dele.
11 Então, disse Balaque a Balaão: Que me fizeste? Chamei-te para amaldiçoar os meus inimigos, mas eis que somente os abençoaste.
12 Mas ele respondeu: Porventura, não terei cuidado de falar o que o SENHOR pôs na minha boca?
13 Então, Balaque lhe disse: Rogo-te que venhas comigo a outro lugar, donde verás o povo; verás somente a parte mais próxima dele e não o verás todo; e amaldiçoa-mo dali.
14 Levou-o consigo ao campo de Zofim, ao cimo de Pisga; e edificou sete altares e sobre cada um ofereceu um novilho e um carneiro.
15 Então, disse Balaão a Balaque: Fica, aqui, junto do teu holocausto, e eu irei ali ao encontro do SENHOR.
16 Encontrando-se o SENHOR com Balaão, pôs-lhe na boca a palavra e disse: Torna para Balaque e assim falarás.
17 Vindo a ele, eis que estava junto do holocausto, e os príncipes dos moabitas, com ele. Perguntou-lhe, pois, Balaque: Que falou o SENHOR?
18 Então, proferiu a sua palavra e disse: Levanta-te, Balaque, e ouve; escuta-me, filho de Zipor:
19 Deus não é homem, para que minta; nem filho de homem, para que se arrependa. Porventura, tendo ele prometido, não o fará? Ou, tendo falado, não o cumprirá?
20 Eis que para abençoar recebi ordem; ele abençoou, não o posso revogar.
21 Não viu iniqüidade em Jacó, nem contemplou desventura em Israel; o SENHOR, seu Deus, está com ele, no meio dele se ouvem aclamações ao seu Rei.
22 Deus os tirou do Egito; as forças deles são como as do boi selvagem.
23 Pois contra Jacó não vale encantamento, nem adivinhação contra Israel; agora, se poderá dizer de Jacó e de Israel: Que coisas tem feito Deus!
24 Eis que o povo se levanta como leoa e se ergue como leão; não se deita até que devore a presa e beba o sangue dos que forem mortos.
25 Então, disse Balaque a Balaão: Nem o amaldiçoarás, nem o abençoarás.
26 Porém Balaão respondeu e disse a Balaque: Não te disse eu: tudo o que o SENHOR falar, isso farei?
27 Disse mais Balaque a Balaão: Ora, vem, e te levarei a outro lugar; porventura, parecerá bem aos olhos de Deus que dali mo amaldiçoes.
28 Então, Balaque levou Balaão consigo ao cimo de Peor, que olha para o lado do deserto.
29 Balaão disse a Balaque: Edifica-me, aqui, sete altares e prepara-me sete novilhos e sete carneiros.
30 Balaque, pois, fez como dissera Balaão e ofereceu sobre cada altar um novilho e um carneiro.

23 And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven oxen and seven rams. 2 And Balak did as Balaam had spoken; and Balak and Balaam offered on every altar a bullock and a ram. 3 And Balaam said unto Balak, Stand by thy burnt offering, and I will go: peradventure the Lord will come to meet me: and whatsoever he sheweth me I will tell thee. And he went to an high place. 4 And God met Balaam: and he said unto him, I have prepared seven altars, and I have offered upon every altar a bullock and a ram. 5 And the Lord put a word in Balaam's mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus thou shalt speak. 6 And he returned unto him, and, lo, he stood by his burnt sacrifice, he, and all the princes of Moab. 7 And he took up his parable, and said, Balak the king of Moab hath brought me from Aram, out of the mountains of the east, saying, Come, curse me Jacob, and come, defy Israel. 8 How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the Lord hath not defied? 9 For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations. 10 Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his! 11 And Balak said unto Balaam, What hast thou done unto me? I took thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed them altogether. 12 And he answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which the Lord hath put in my mouth? 13 And Balak said unto him, Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, from whence thou mayest see them: thou shalt see but the utmost part of them, and shalt not see them all: and curse me them from thence. 14 And he brought him into the field of Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, and built seven altars, and offered a bullock and a ram on every altar. 15 And he said unto Balak, Stand here by thy burnt offering, while I meet the Lord yonder. 16 And the Lord met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, Go again unto Balak, and say thus. 17 And when he came to him, behold, he stood by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What hath the Lord spoken? 18 And he took up his parable, and said, Rise up, Balak, and hear; hearken unto me, thou son of Zippor: 19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? 20 Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it. 21 He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the Lord his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them. 22 God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn. 23 Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought! 24 Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the slain. 25 And Balak said unto Balaam, Neither curse them at all, nor bless them at all. 26 But Balaam answered and said unto Balak, Told not I thee, saying, All that the Lord speaketh, that I must do? 27 And Balak said unto Balaam, Come, I pray thee, I will bring thee unto another place; peradventure it will please God that thou mayest curse me them from thence. 28 And Balak brought Balaam unto the top of Peor, that looketh toward jeshimon. 29 And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven bullocks and seven rams. 30 And Balak did as Balaam had said, and offered a bullock and a ram on every altar.

Salmos 64
1 Ouve, ó Deus, a minha voz nas minhas perplexidades; preserva-me a vida do terror do inimigo.
2 Esconde-me da conspiração dos malfeitores e do tumulto dos que praticam a iniqüidade,
3 os quais afiam a língua como espada e apontam, quais flechas, palavras amargas,
4 para, às ocultas, atingirem o íntegro; contra ele disparam repentinamente e não temem.
5 Teimam no mau propósito; falam em secretamente armar ciladas; dizem: Quem nos verá?
6 Projetam iniqüidade, inquirem tudo o que se pode excogitar; é um abismo o pensamento e o coração de cada um deles.
7 Mas Deus desfere contra eles uma seta; de súbito, se acharão feridos.
8 Dessarte, serão levados a tropeçar; a própria língua se voltará contra eles; todos os que os vêem meneiam a cabeça.
9 E todos os homens temerão, e anunciarão as obras de Deus, e entenderão o que ele faz.
10 O justo se alegra no SENHOR e nele confia; os de reto coração, todos se gloriam.

64 Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy. 2 Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity: 3 Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words: 4 That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not. 5 They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them? 6 They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep. 7 But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded. 8 So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away. 9 And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing. 10 The righteous shall be glad in the Lord, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.

1 A ti, ó Deus, confiança e louvor em Sião! E a ti se pagará o voto.
2 Ó tu que escutas a oração, a ti virão todos os homens,
3 por causa de suas iniqüidades. Se prevalecem as nossas transgressões, tu no-las perdoas.
4 Bem-aventurado aquele a quem escolhes e aproximas de ti, para que assista nos teus átrios; ficaremos satisfeitos com a bondade de tua casa – o teu santo templo.
5 Com tremendos feitos nos respondes em tua justiça, ó Deus, Salvador nosso, esperança de todos os confins da terra e dos mares longínquos;
6 que por tua força consolidas os montes, cingido de poder;
7 que aplacas o rugir dos mares, o ruído das suas ondas e o tumulto das gentes.
8 Os que habitam nos confins da terra temem os teus sinais; os que vêm do Oriente e do Ocidente, tu os fazes exultar de júbilo.
9 Tu visitas a terra e a regas; tu a enriqueces copiosamente; os ribeiros de Deus são abundantes de água; preparas o cereal, porque para isso a dispões,

Isaías 13
1 Sentença que, numa visão, recebeu Isaías, filho de Amoz, contra a Babilônia.
2 Alçai um estandarte sobre o monte escalvado; levantai a voz para eles; acenai-lhes com a mão, para que entrem pelas portas dos tiranos.
3 Eu dei ordens aos meus consagrados, sim, chamei os meus valentes para executarem a minha ira, os que com exultação se orgulham.
4 Já se ouve sobre os montes o rumor como o de muito povo, o clamor de reinos e de nações já congregados. O SENHOR dos Exércitos passa revista às tropas de guerra.
5 Já vêm de um país remoto, desde a extremidade do céu, o SENHOR e os instrumentos da sua indignação, para destruir toda a terra.
6 Uivai, pois está perto o Dia do SENHOR; vem do Todo-Poderoso como assolação.
7 Pelo que todos os braços se tornarão frouxos, e o coração de todos os homens se derreterá.
8 Assombrar-se-ão, e apoderar-se-ão deles dores e ais, e terão contorções como a mulher parturiente; olharão atônitos uns para outros; o seu rosto se tornará rosto flamejante.
9 Eis que vem o Dia do SENHOR, dia cruel, com ira e ardente furor, para converter a terra em assolação e dela destruir os pecadores.
10 Porque as estrelas e constelações dos céus não darão a sua luz; o sol, logo ao nascer, se escurecerá, e a lua não fará resplandecer a sua luz.
11 Castigarei o mundo por causa da sua maldade e os perversos, por causa da sua iniqüidade; farei cessar a arrogância dos atrevidos e abaterei a soberba dos violentos.
12 Farei que os homens sejam mais escassos do que o ouro puro, mais raros do que o ouro de Ofir.
13 Portanto, farei estremecer os céus; e a terra será sacudida do seu lugar, por causa da ira do SENHOR dos Exércitos e por causa do dia do seu ardente furor.
14 Cada um será como a gazela que foge e como o rebanho que ninguém recolhe; cada um voltará para o seu povo e cada um fugirá para a sua terra.
15 Quem for achado será traspassado; e aquele que for apanhado cairá à espada.
16 Suas crianças serão esmagadas perante eles; a sua casa será saqueada, e sua mulher, violada.
17 Eis que eu despertarei contra eles os medos, que não farão caso de prata, nem tampouco desejarão ouro.
18 Os seus arcos matarão os jovens; eles não se compadecerão do fruto do ventre; os seus olhos não pouparão as crianças.
19 Babilônia, a jóia dos reinos, glória e orgulho dos caldeus, será como Sodoma e Gomorra, quando Deus as transtornou.
20 Nunca jamais será habitada, ninguém morará nela de geração em geração; o arábio não armará ali a sua tenda, nem tampouco os pastores farão ali deitar os seus rebanhos.
21 Porém, nela, as feras do deserto repousarão, e as suas casas se encherão de corujas; ali habitarão os avestruzes, e os sátiros pularão ali.
22 As hienas uivarão nos seus castelos; os chacais, nos seus palácios de prazer; está prestes a chegar o seu tempo, e os seus dias não se prolongarão.

Números 22
1 Tendo partido os filhos de Israel, acamparam-se nas campinas de Moabe, além do Jordão, na altura de Jericó.
2 Viu, pois, Balaque, filho de Zipor, tudo o que Israel fizera aos amorreus;
3 Moabe teve grande medo deste povo, porque era muito; e andava angustiado por causa dos filhos de Israel;
4 pelo que Moabe disse aos anciãos dos midianitas: Agora, lamberá esta multidão tudo quando houver ao redor de nós, como o boi lambe a erva do campo. Balaque, filho de Zipor, naquele tempo, era rei dos moabitas.
5 Enviou ele mensageiros a Balaão, filho de Beor, a Petor, que está junto ao rio Eufrates, na terra dos filhos do seu povo, a chamá-lo, dizendo: Eis que um povo saiu do Egito, cobre a face da terra e está morando defronte de mim.
6 Vem, pois, agora, rogo-te, amaldiçoa-me este povo, pois é mais poderoso do que eu; para ver se o poderei ferir e lançar fora da terra, porque sei que a quem tu abençoares será abençoado, e a quem tu amaldiçoares será amaldiçoado.
7 Então, foram-se os anciãos dos moabitas e os anciãos dos midianitas, levando consigo o preço dos encantamentos; e chegaram a Balaão e lhe referiram as palavras de Balaque.
8 Balaão lhes disse: Ficai aqui esta noite, e vos trarei a resposta, como o SENHOR me falar; então, os príncipes dos moabitas ficaram com Balaão.
9 Veio Deus a Balaão e disse: Quem são estes homens contigo?
10 Respondeu Balaão a Deus: Balaque, rei dos moabitas, filho de Zipor, os enviou para que me dissessem:
11 Eis que o povo que saiu do Egito cobre a face da terra; vem, agora, amaldiçoa-mo; talvez eu possa combatê-lo e lançá-lo fora.
12 Então, disse Deus a Balaão: Não irás com eles, nem amaldiçoarás o povo; porque é povo abençoado.
13 Levantou-se Balaão pela manhã e disse aos príncipes de Balaque: Tornai à vossa terra, porque o SENHOR recusa deixar-me ir convosco.
14 Tendo-se levantado os príncipes dos moabitas, foram a Balaque e disseram: Balaão recusou vir conosco.
15 De novo, enviou Balaque príncipes, em maior número e mais honrados do que os primeiros,
16 os quais chegaram a Balaão e lhe disseram: Assim diz Balaque, filho de Zipor: Peço-te não te demores em vir a mim,
17 porque grandemente te honrarei e farei tudo o que me disseres; vem, pois, rogo-te, amaldiçoa-me este povo.
18 Respondeu Balaão aos oficiais de Balaque: Ainda que Balaque me desse a sua casa cheia de prata e de ouro, eu não poderia traspassar o mandado do SENHOR, meu Deus, para fazer coisa pequena ou grande;
19 agora, pois, rogo-vos que também aqui fiqueis esta noite, para que eu saiba o que mais o SENHOR me dirá.
20 Veio, pois, o SENHOR a Balaão, de noite, e disse-lhe: Se aqueles homens vieram chamar-te, levanta-te, vai com eles; todavia, farás somente o que eu te disser.
21 Então, Balaão levantou-se pela manhã, albardou a sua jumenta e partiu com os príncipes de Moabe.
22 Acendeu-se a ira de Deus, porque ele se foi; e o Anjo do SENHOR pôs-se-lhe no caminho por adversário. Ora, Balaão ia caminhando, montado na sua jumenta, e dois de seus servos, com ele.
23 Viu, pois, a jumenta o Anjo do SENHOR parado no caminho, com a sua espada desembainhada na mão; pelo que se desviou a jumenta do caminho, indo pelo campo; então, Balaão espancou a jumenta para fazê-la tornar ao caminho.
24 Mas o Anjo do SENHOR pôs-se numa vereda entre as vinhas, havendo muro de um e outro lado.
25 Vendo, pois, a jumenta o Anjo do SENHOR, coseu-se contra o muro e comprimiu contra este o pé de Balaão; por isso, tornou a espancá-la.
26 Então, o Anjo do SENHOR passou mais adiante e pôs-se num lugar estreito, onde não havia caminho para se desviar nem para a direita, nem para a esquerda.
27 Vendo a jumenta o Anjo do SENHOR, deixou-se cair debaixo de Balaão; acendeu-se a ira de Balaão, e espancou a jumenta com a vara.
28 Então, o SENHOR fez falar a jumenta, a qual disse a Balaão: Que te fiz eu, que me espancaste já três vezes?
29 Respondeu Balaão à jumenta: Porque zombaste de mim; tivera eu uma espada na mão e, agora, te mataria.
30 Replicou a jumenta a Balaão: Porventura, não sou a tua jumenta, em que toda a tua vida cavalgaste até hoje? Acaso, tem sido o meu costume fazer assim contigo? Ele respondeu: Não.
31 Então, o SENHOR abriu os olhos a Balaão, ele viu o Anjo do SENHOR, que estava no caminho, com a sua espada desembainhada na mão; pelo que inclinou a cabeça e prostrou-se com o rosto em terra.
32 Então, o Anjo do SENHOR lhe disse: Por que já três vezes espancaste a jumenta? Eis que eu saí como teu adversário, porque o teu caminho é perverso diante de mim;
33 a jumenta me viu e já três vezes se desviou de diante de mim; na verdade, eu, agora, te haveria matado e a ela deixaria com vida.
34 Então, Balaão disse ao Anjo do SENHOR: Pequei, porque não soube que estavas neste caminho para te opores a mim; agora, se parece mal aos teus olhos, voltarei.
35 Tornou o Anjo do SENHOR a Balaão: Vai-te com estes homens; mas somente aquilo que eu te disser, isso falarás. Assim, Balaão se foi com os príncipes de Balaque.
36 Tendo Balaque ouvido que Balaão havia chegado, saiu-lhe ao encontro até à cidade de Moabe, que está nos confins do Arnom e na fronteira extrema.
37 Perguntou Balaque a Balaão: Porventura, não enviei mensageiros a chamar-te? Por que não vieste a mim? Não posso eu, na verdade, honrar-te?
38 Respondeu Balaão a Balaque: Eis-me perante ti; acaso, poderei eu, agora, falar alguma coisa? A palavra que Deus puser na minha boca, essa falarei.
39 Balaão foi com Balaque, e chegaram a Quiriate-Huzote.
40 Então, Balaque sacrificou bois e ovelhas; e deles enviou a Balaão e aos príncipes que estavam com ele.
41 Sucedeu que, pela manhã, Balaque tomou a Balaão e o fez subir a Bamote-Baal; e Balaão viu dali a parte mais próxima do povo.

22 And the children of Israel set forward, and pitched in the plains of Moab on this side Jordan by Jericho. 2 And Balak the son of Zippor saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites. 3 And Moab was sore afraid of the people, because they were many: and Moab was distressed because of the children of Israel. 4 And Moab said unto the elders of Midian, Now shall this company lick up all that are round about us, as the ox licketh up the grass of the field. And Balak the son of Zippor was king of the Moabites at that time. 5 He sent messengers therefore unto Balaam the son of Beor to Pethor, which is by the river of the land of the children of his people, to call him, saying, Behold, there is a people come out from Egypt: behold, they cover the face of the earth, and they abide over against me: 6 Come now therefore, I pray thee, curse me this people; for they are too mighty for me: peradventure I shall prevail, that we may smite them, and that I may drive them out of the land: for I wot that he whom thou blessest is blessed, and he whom thou cursest is cursed. 7 And the elders of Moab and the elders of Midian departed with the rewards of divination in their hand; and they came unto Balaam, and spake unto him the words of Balak. 8 And he said unto them, Lodge here this night, and I will bring you word again, as the Lord shall speak unto me: and the princes of Moab abode with Balaam. 9 And God came unto Balaam, and said, What men are these with thee? 10 And Balaam said unto God, Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, hath sent unto me, saying, 11 Behold, there is a people come out of Egypt, which covereth the face of the earth: come now, curse me them; peradventure I shall be able to overcome them, and drive them out. 12 And God said unto Balaam, Thou shalt not go with them; thou shalt not curse the people: for they are blessed. 13 And Balaam rose up in the morning, and said unto the princes of Balak, Get you into your land: for the Lord refuseth to give me leave to go with you. 14 And the princes of Moab rose up, and they went unto Balak, and said, Balaam refuseth to come with us. 15 And Balak sent yet again princes, more, and more honourable than they. 16 And they came to Balaam, and said to him, Thus saith Balak the son of Zippor, Let nothing, I pray thee, hinder thee from coming unto me: 17 For I will promote thee unto very great honour, and I will do whatsoever thou sayest unto me: come therefore, I pray thee, curse me this people. 18 And Balaam answered and said unto the servants of Balak, If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the word of the Lord my God, to do less or more. 19 Now therefore, I pray you, tarry ye also here this night, that I may know what the Lord will say unto me more. 20 And God came unto Balaam at night, and said unto him, If the men come to call thee, rise up, and go with them; but yet the word which I shall say unto thee, that shalt thou do. 21 And Balaam rose up in the morning, and saddled his ass, and went with the princes of Moab. 22 And God's anger was kindled because he went: and the angel of the Lord stood in the way for an adversary against him. So Balaam went with the princes of Balak. 36 And when Balak heard that Balaam was come, he went out to meet him unto a city of Moab, which is in the border of Arnon, which is in the utmost coast. 37 And Balak said unto Balaam, Did I not earnestly send unto thee to call thee? wherefore camest thou not unto me? am I not able indeed to promote thee to honour? 38 And Balaam said unto Balak, Lo, I am come unto thee: have I now any power at all to say any thing? the word that God putteth in my mouth, that shall I speak. 39 And Balaam went with Balak, and they came unto Kirjathhuzoth. 40 And Balak offered oxen and sheep, and sent to Balaam, and to the princes that were with him. 41 And it came to pass on the morrow, that Balak took Balaam, and brought him up into the high places of Baal, that thence he might see the utmost part of the people.

1 Somente em Deus, ó minha alma, espera silenciosa; dele vem a minha salvação.
2 Só ele é a minha rocha, e a minha salvação, e o meu alto refúgio; não serei muito abalado.
3 Até quando acometereis vós a um homem, todos vós, para o derribardes, como se fosse uma parede pendida ou um muro prestes a cair?
4 Só pensam em derribá-lo da sua dignidade; na mentira se comprazem; de boca bendizem, porém no interior maldizem.
5 Somente em Deus, ó minha alma, espera silenciosa, porque dele vem a minha esperança.
6 Só ele é a minha rocha, e a minha salvação, e o meu alto refúgio; não serei jamais abalado.
7 De Deus dependem a minha salvação e a minha glória; estão em Deus a minha forte rocha e o meu refúgio.
8 Confiai nele, ó povo, em todo tempo; derramai perante ele o vosso coração; Deus é o nosso refúgio.
9 Somente vaidade são os homens plebeus; falsidade, os de fina estirpe; pesados em balança, eles juntos são mais leves que a vaidade.

11 Uma vez falou Deus, duas vezes ouvi isto: Que o poder pertence a Deus,

Isaías 11
1 Do tronco de Jessé sairá um rebento, e das suas raízes, um renovo.
2 Repousará sobre ele o Espírito do SENHOR, o Espírito de sabedoria e de entendimento, o Espírito de conselho e de fortaleza, o Espírito de conhecimento e de temor do SENHOR.
3 Deleitar-se-á no temor do SENHOR; não julgará segundo a vista dos seus olhos, nem repreenderá segundo o ouvir dos seus ouvidos;
4 mas julgará com justiça os pobres e decidirá com eqüidade a favor dos mansos da terra; ferirá a terra com a vara de sua boca e com o sopro dos seus lábios matará o perverso.
5 A justiça será o cinto dos seus lombos, e a fidelidade, o cinto dos seus rins.
6 O lobo habitará com o cordeiro, e o leopardo se deitará junto ao cabrito; o bezerro, o leão novo e o animal cevado andarão juntos, e um pequenino os guiará.
7 A vaca e a ursa pastarão juntas, e as suas crias juntas se deitarão; o leão comerá palha como o boi.
8 A criança de peito brincará sobre a toca da áspide, e o já desmamado meterá a mão na cova do basilisco.
9 Não se fará mal nem dano algum em todo o meu santo monte, porque a terra se encherá do conhecimento do SENHOR, como as águas cobrem o mar.
10 Naquele dia, recorrerão as nações à raiz de Jessé que está posta por estandarte dos povos; a glória lhe será a morada.
11 Naquele dia, o Senhor tornará a estender a mão para resgatar o restante do seu povo, que for deixado, da Assíria, do Egito, de Patros, da Etiópia, de Elão, de Sinar, de Hamate e das terras do mar.
12 Levantará um estandarte para as nações, ajuntará os desterrados de Israel e os dispersos de Judá recolherá desde os quatro confins da terra.
13 Afastar-se-á a inveja de Efraim, e os adversários de Judá serão eliminados; Efraim não invejará a Judá, e Judá não oprimirá a Efraim.
14 Antes, voarão para sobre os ombros dos filisteus ao Ocidente; juntos, despojarão os filhos do Oriente; contra Edom e Moabe lançarão as mãos, e os filhos de Amom lhes serão sujeitos.
15 O SENHOR destruirá totalmente o braço do mar do Egito, e com a força do seu vento moverá a mão contra o Eufrates, e, ferindo-o, dividi-lo-á em sete canais, de sorte que qualquer o atravessará de sandálias.
16 Haverá caminho plano para o restante do seu povo, que for deixado, da Assíria, como o houve para Israel no dia em que subiu da terra do Egito.

1 Orarás naquele dia: Graças te dou, ó SENHOR, porque, ainda que te iraste contra mim, a tua ira se retirou, e tu me consolas.
2 Eis que Deus é a minha salvação; confiarei e não temerei, porque o SENHOR Deus é a minha força e o meu cântico; ele se tornou a minha salvação.
3 Vós, com alegria, tirareis água das fontes da salvação.
4 Direis naquele dia: Dai graças ao SENHOR, invocai o seu nome, tornai manifestos os seus feitos entre os povos, relembrai que é excelso o seu nome.
5 Cantai louvores ao SENHOR, porque fez coisas grandiosas; saiba-se isto em toda a terra.
6 Exulta e jubila, ó habitante de Sião, porque grande é o Santo de Israel no meio de ti.

A emoção: ato de se deixar impressionar ou se comover por algo ou alguém. Reação moral, psíquica ou física, geralmente causada por uma confusão de sentimentos, que se tem diante de algum fato, situação, notícia, fazendo com que o corpo se comporte tendo em conta essa reação, através de alterações respiratórias, circulatórias; comoção.
Se houver uma aliança com o Senhor Deus, é possível que estas reações e ações da carne e da natureza humana, percam a força de atuação em nós e sobre nós. Aliás, somente desta forma é possível anular, sim, tornar nulas, estas ações e reações.
Mas isto ainda não é tudo. É necessário permanecermos, na Presença do Altíssimo, o tempo todo. E isto só é possível, através da busca pelo Seu Espírito, porque é tudo, pelo Espírito, como verdadeiramente, está escrito:
"Porque, se viverdes segundo a carne, caminhais para a morte; mas, se, pelo Espírito, mortificardes os feitos do corpo, certamente, vivereis. Pois todos os que são guiados pelo Espírito de Deus são filhos de Deus." Romanos 8:13-14.
