Deuteronômio 9
1 Ouve, ó Israel, tu passas, hoje, o Jordão para entrares a possuir nações maiores e mais fortes do que tu; cidades grandes e amuralhadas até aos céus;
2 povo grande e alto, filhos dos anaquins, que tu conheces e de que já ouvistes: Quem poderá resistir aos filhos de Enaque?
3 Sabe, pois, hoje, que o SENHOR, teu Deus, é que passa adiante de ti; é fogo que consome, e os destruirá, e os subjugará diante de ti; assim, os desapossarás e, depressa, os farás perecer, como te prometeu o SENHOR.
4 Quando, pois, o SENHOR, teu Deus, os tiver lançado de diante de ti, não digas no teu coração: Por causa da minha justiça é que o SENHOR me trouxe a esta terra para a possuir, porque, pela maldade destas gerações, é que o SENHOR as lança de diante de ti.
5 Não é por causa da tua justiça, nem pela retitude do teu coração que entras a possuir a sua terra, mas pela maldade destas nações o SENHOR, teu Deus, as lança de diante de ti; e para confirmar a palavra que o SENHOR, teu Deus, jurou a teus pais, Abraão, Isaque e Jacó.
6 Sabe, pois, que não é por causa da tua justiça que o SENHOR, teu Deus, te dá esta boa terra para possuí-la, pois tu és povo de dura cerviz.
7 Lembrai-vos e não vos esqueçais de que muito provocastes à ira o SENHOR, vosso Deus, no deserto; desde o dia em que saístes do Egito até que chegastes a este lugar, rebeldes fostes contra o SENHOR;
8 pois, em Horebe, tanto provocastes à ira o SENHOR, que a ira do SENHOR se acendeu contra vós para vos destruir.
9 Subindo eu ao monte a receber as tábuas de pedra, as tábuas da aliança que o SENHOR fizera convosco, fiquei no monte quarenta dias e quarenta noites; não comi pão, nem bebi água.
10 Deu-me o SENHOR as duas tábuas de pedra, escritas com o dedo de Deus; e, nelas, estavam todas as palavras segundo o SENHOR havia falado convosco no monte, do meio do fogo, estando reunido todo o povo.
11 Ao fim dos quarenta dias e quarenta noites, o SENHOR me deu as duas tábuas de pedra, as tábuas da aliança.
12 E o SENHOR me disse: Levanta-te, desce depressa daqui, porque o teu povo, que tiraste do Egito, já se corrompeu; cedo se desviou do caminho que lhe ordenei; imagem fundida para si fez.
13 Falou-me ainda o SENHOR, dizendo: Atentei para este povo, e eis que ele é povo de dura cerviz.
14 Deixa-me que o destrua e apague o seu nome de debaixo dos céus; e te faça a ti nação mais forte e mais numerosa do que esta.
15 Então, me virei e desci do monte; e o monte ardia em fogo; as duas tábuas da aliança estavam em ambas as minhas mãos.
16 Olhei, e eis que havíeis pecado contra o SENHOR, vosso Deus; tínheis feito para vós outros um bezerro fundido; cedo vos desviastes do caminho que o SENHOR vos ordenara.
17 Então, peguei as duas tábuas, e as arrojei das minhas mãos, e as quebrei ante os vossos olhos.
18 Prostrado estive perante o SENHOR, como dantes, quarenta dias e quarenta noites; não comi pão e não bebi água, por causa de todo o vosso pecado que havíeis cometido, fazendo mal aos olhos do SENHOR, para o provocar à ira.
19 Pois temia por causa da ira e do furor com que o SENHOR tanto estava irado contra vós outros para vos destruir; porém ainda esta vez o SENHOR me ouviu.
20 O SENHOR se irou muito contra Arão para o destruir; mas também orei por Arão ao mesmo tempo.
21 Porém tomei o vosso pecado, o bezerro que tínheis feito, e o queimei, e o esmaguei, moendo-o bem, até que se desfez em pó; e o seu pó lancei no ribeiro que descia do monte.
22 Também em Taberá, em Massá e em Quibrote-Hataavá provocastes muito a ira do SENHOR.
23 Quando também o SENHOR vos enviou de Cades-Barnéia, dizendo: Subi e possuí a terra que vos dei, rebeldes fostes ao mandado do SENHOR, vosso Deus, e não o crestes, e não obedecestes à sua voz.
24 Rebeldes fostes contra o SENHOR, desde o dia em que vos conheci.
25 Prostrei-me, pois, perante o SENHOR e, quarenta dias e quarenta noites, estive prostrado; porquanto o SENHOR dissera que vos queria destruir.
26 Orei ao SENHOR, dizendo: Ó SENHOR Deus! Não destruas o teu povo e a tua herança, que resgataste com a tua grandeza, que tiraste do Egito com poderosa mão.
27 Lembra-te dos teus servos Abraão, Isaque e Jacó; não atentes para a dureza deste povo, nem para a sua maldade, nem para o seu pecado,
28 para que o povo da terra donde nos tiraste não diga: Não tendo podido o SENHOR introduzi-los na terra de que lhes tinha falado e porque os aborrecia, os tirou para matá-los no deserto.
29 Todavia, são eles o teu povo e a tua herança, que tiraste com a tua grande força e com o braço estendido.
9 Hear, O Israel: Thou art to pass over Jordan this day, to go in to possess nations greater and mightier than thyself, cities great and fenced up to heaven, 2 A people great and tall, the children of the Anakims, whom thou knowest, and of whom thou hast heard say, Who can stand before the children of Anak! 3 Understand therefore this day, that the Lord thy God is he which goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the Lord hath said unto thee. 4 Speak not thou in thine heart, after that the Lord thy God hath cast them out from before thee, saying, For my righteousness the Lord hath brought me in to possess this land: but for the wickedness of these nations the Lord doth drive them out from before thee. 5 Not for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of thine heart, dost thou go to possess their land: but for the wickedness of these nations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee, and that he may perform the word which the Lord sware unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. 6 Understand therefore, that the Lord thy God giveth thee not this good land to possess it for thy righteousness; for thou art a stiffnecked people. 7 Remember, and forget not, how thou provokedst the Lord thy God to wrath in the wilderness: from the day that thou didst depart out of the land of Egypt, until ye came unto this place, ye have been rebellious against the Lord. 8 Also in Horeb ye provoked the Lord to wrath, so that the Lord was angry with you to have destroyed you. 9 When I was gone up into the mount to receive the tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant which the Lord made with you, then I abode in the mount forty days and forty nights, I neither did eat bread nor drink water: 10 And the Lord delivered unto me two tables of stone written with the finger of God; and on them was written according to all the words, which the Lord spake with you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly. 11 And it came to pass at the end of forty days and forty nights, that the Lord gave me the two tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant. 12 And the Lord said unto me, Arise, get thee down quickly from hence; for thy people which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt have corrupted themselves; they are quickly turned aside out of the way which I commanded them; they have made them a molten image. 13 Furthermore the Lord spake unto me, saying, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people: 14 Let me alone, that I may destroy them, and blot out their name from under heaven: and I will make of thee a nation mightier and greater than they. 15 So I turned and came down from the mount, and the mount burned with fire: and the two tables of the covenant were in my two hands. 16 And I looked, and, behold, ye had sinned against the Lord your God, and had made you a molten calf: ye had turned aside quickly out of the way which the Lord had commanded you. 17 And I took the two tables, and cast them out of my two hands, and brake them before your eyes. 18 And I fell down before the Lord, as at the first, forty days and forty nights: I did neither eat bread, nor drink water, because of all your sins which ye sinned, in doing wickedly in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger. 19 For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure, wherewith the Lord was wroth against you to destroy you. But the Lord hearkened unto me at that time also. 20 And the Lord was very angry with Aaron to have destroyed him: and I prayed for Aaron also the same time. 21 And I took your sin, the calf which ye had made, and burnt it with fire, and stamped it, and ground it very small, even until it was as small as dust: and I cast the dust thereof into the brook that descended out of the mount. 22 And at Taberah, and at Massah, and at Kibrothhattaavah, ye provoked the Lord to wrath. 23 Likewise when the Lord sent you from Kadeshbarnea, saying, Go up and possess the land which I have given you; then ye rebelled against the commandment of the Lord your God, and ye believed him not, nor hearkened to his voice. 24 Ye have been rebellious against the Lord from the day that I knew you. 25 Thus I fell down before the Lord forty days and forty nights, as I fell down at the first; because the Lord had said he would destroy you. 26 I prayed therefore unto the Lord, and said, O Lord God, destroy not thy people and thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed through thy greatness, which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand. 27 Remember thy servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; look not unto the stubbornness of this people, nor to their wickedness, nor to their sin: 28 Lest the land whence thou broughtest us out say, Because the Lord was not able to bring them into the land which he promised them, and because he hated them, he hath brought them out to slay them in the wilderness. 29 Yet they are thy people and thine inheritance, which thou broughtest out by thy mighty power and by thy stretched out arm.

Salmos 92
1 Bom é render graças ao SENHOR e cantar louvores ao teu nome, ó Altíssimo,
2 anunciar de manhã a tua misericórdia e, durante as noites, a tua fidelidade,
3 com instrumentos de dez cordas, com saltério e com a solenidade da harpa.
4 Pois me alegraste, SENHOR, com os teus feitos; exultarei nas obras das tuas mãos.
5 Quão grandes, SENHOR, são as tuas obras! Os teus pensamentos, que profundos!
6 O inepto não compreende, e o estulto não percebe isto:
7 ainda que os ímpios brotam como a erva, e florescem todos os que praticam a iniquidade, nada obstante, serão destruídos para sempre;
8 tu, porém, SENHOR, és o Altíssimo eternamente.
9 Eis que os teus inimigos, SENHOR, eis que os teus inimigos perecerão; serão dispersos todos os que praticam a iniquidade.
10 Porém tu exaltas o meu poder como o do boi selvagem; derramas sobre mim o óleo fresco.
11 Os meus olhos vêem com alegria os inimigos que me espreitam, e os meus ouvidos se satisfazem em ouvir dos malfeitores que contra mim se levantam.
12 O justo florescerá como a palmeira, crescerá como o cedro no Líbano.
13 Plantados na Casa do SENHOR, florescerão nos átrios do nosso Deus.
14 Na velhice darão ainda frutos, serão cheios de seiva e de verdor,
15 para anunciar que o SENHOR é reto. Ele é a minha rocha, e nele não há injustiça.
92 It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High:
2 To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night, 3 Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound. 4 For thou, Lord, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands. 5 O Lord, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep. 6 A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this. 7 When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever: 8 But thou, Lord, art most high for evermore. 9 For, lo, thine enemies, O Lord, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered. 10 But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil. 11 Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me. 12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. 13 Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. 14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing; 15 To shew that the Lord is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

1 Reina o SENHOR. Revestiu-se de majestade; de poder se revestiu o SENHOR e se cingiu. Firmou o mundo, que não vacila.
2 Desde a antiguidade, está firme o teu trono; tu és desde a eternidade.
3 Levantam os rios, ó SENHOR, levantam os rios o seu bramido; levantam os rios o seu fragor.
4 Mas o SENHOR nas alturas é mais poderoso do que o bramido das grandes águas, do que os poderosos vagalhões do mar.
5 Fidelíssimos são os teus testemunhos; à tua casa convém a santidade, SENHOR, para todo o sempre.
93 The Lord reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the Lord is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.
2 Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting. 3 The floods have lifted up, O Lord, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves. 4 The Lord on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea. 5 Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine house, O Lord, for ever.

Isaías 37
1 Tendo o rei Ezequias ouvido isto, rasgou as suas vestes, cobriu-se de pano de saco e entrou na Casa do SENHOR.
2 Então, enviou a Eliaquim, o mordomo, a Sebna, o escrivão, e aos anciãos dos sacerdotes, com vestes de pano de saco, ao profeta Isaías, filho de Amoz,
3 os quais lhe dissessem: Assim diz Ezequias: Este dia é dia de angústia, de castigo e de opróbrio; porque filhos são chegados à hora de nascer, e não há força para dá-los à luz.
4 Porventura, o SENHOR, teu Deus, terá ouvido as palavras de Rabsaqué, a quem o rei da Assíria, seu senhor, enviou para afrontar o Deus vivo, e repreenderá as palavras que o SENHOR ouviu; faze, pois, tuas orações pelos que ainda subsistem.
5 Foram, pois, os servos do rei Ezequias ter com Isaías;
6 Isaías lhes disse: Dizei isto a vosso senhor: Assim diz o SENHOR: Não temas por causa das palavras que ouviste, com as quais os servos do rei da Assíria blasfemaram contra mim.
7 Eis que meterei nele um espírito, e ele, ao ouvir certo rumor, voltará para a sua terra; e nela eu o farei cair morto à espada.
8 Voltou, pois, Rabsaqué e encontrou o rei da Assíria pelejando contra Libna; porque ouvira que o rei já se havia retirado de Laquis.
9 O rei ouviu que, a respeito de Tiraca, rei da Etiópia, se dizia: Saiu para guerrear contra ti. Assim que ouviu isto, enviou mensageiros a Ezequias, dizendo:
10 Assim falareis a Ezequias, rei de Judá: Não te engane o teu Deus, em quem confias, dizendo: Jerusalém não será entregue nas mãos do rei da Assíria.
11 Já tens ouvido o que fizeram os reis da Assíria a todas as terras, como as destruíram totalmente; e crês tu que te livrarias?
12 Porventura, os deuses das nações livraram os povos que meus pais destruíram: Gozã, Harã, Rezefe e os filhos de Éden, que estavam em Telassar?
13 Onde está o rei de Hamate, e o rei de Arpade, e o rei da cidade de Sefarvaim, de Hena e de Iva?
14 Tendo Ezequias recebido a carta das mãos dos mensageiros, leu-a; então, subiu à Casa do SENHOR, estendeu-a perante o SENHOR
15 e orou ao SENHOR, dizendo:
16 Ó SENHOR dos Exércitos, Deus de Israel, que estás entronizado acima dos querubins, tu somente és o Deus de todos os reinos da terra; tu fizeste os céus e a terra.
17 Inclina, ó SENHOR, os ouvidos e ouve; abre, SENHOR, os olhos e vê; ouve todas as palavras de Senaqueribe, as quais ele enviou para afrontar o Deus vivo.
18 Verdade é, SENHOR, que os reis da Assíria assolaram todos os países e suas terras
19 e lançaram no fogo os deuses deles, porque deuses não eram, senão obra de mãos de homens, madeira e pedra; por isso, os destruíram.
20 Agora, pois, ó SENHOR, nosso Deus, livra-nos das suas mãos, para que todos os reinos da terra saibam que só tu és o SENHOR.
21 Então, Isaías, filho de Amoz, mandou dizer a Ezequias: Assim diz o SENHOR, o Deus de Israel: Visto que me pediste acerca de Senaqueribe, rei da Assíria,
22 esta é a palavra que o SENHOR falou a respeito dele: A virgem, filha de Sião, te despreza e zomba de ti; a filha de Jerusalém meneia a cabeça por detrás de ti.
23 A quem afrontaste e de quem blasfemaste? E contra quem alçaste a voz e arrogantemente ergueste os olhos? Contra o Santo de Israel.
24 Por meio dos teus servos, afrontaste o Senhor e disseste: Com a multidão dos meus carros, subi ao cimo dos montes, ao mais interior do Líbano; deitarei abaixo os seus altos cedros e os ciprestes escolhidos, chegarei ao seu mais alto cimo, ao seu denso e fértil pomar.
25 Cavei e bebi as águas e com a planta de meus pés sequei todos os rios do Egito.
26 Acaso, não ouviste que já há muito dispus eu estas coisas, já desde os dias remotos o tinha planejado? Agora, porém, as faço executar e eu quis que tu reduzisses a montões de ruínas as cidades fortificadas.
27 Por isso, os seus moradores, debilitados, andaram cheios de temor e envergonhados; tornaram-se como a erva do campo, e a erva verde, e o capim dos telhados, e o cereal queimado antes de amadurecer.
28 Mas eu conheço o teu assentar, e o teu sair, e o teu entrar, e o teu furor contra mim.
29 Por causa do teu furor contra mim, e porque a tua arrogância subiu até aos meus ouvidos, eis que porei o meu anzol no teu nariz, e o meu freio, na tua boca, e te farei voltar pelo caminho por onde vieste.
30 Isto te será por sinal: este ano se comerá o que espontaneamente nascer e no segundo ano o que daí proceder; no terceiro ano, porém, semeai e colhei, plantai vinhas e comei os seus frutos.
31 O que escapou da casa de Judá e ficou de resto tornará a lançar raízes para baixo e dará fruto por cima;
32 porque de Jerusalém sairá o restante, e do monte Sião, o que escapou. O zelo do SENHOR dos Exércitos fará isto.
33 Pelo que assim diz o SENHOR acerca do rei da Assíria: Não entrará nesta cidade, nem lançará nela flecha alguma, não virá perante ela com escudo, nem há de levantar tranqueiras contra ela.
34 Pelo caminho por onde vier, por esse voltará; mas nesta cidade não entrará, diz o SENHOR.
35 Porque eu defenderei esta cidade, para a livrar, por amor de mim e por amor do meu servo Davi.
36 Então, saiu o Anjo do SENHOR e feriu no arraial dos assírios a cento e oitenta e cinco mil; e, quando se levantaram os restantes pela manhã, eis que todos estes eram cadáveres.
37 Retirou-se, pois, Senaqueribe, rei da Assíria, e se foi; voltou e ficou em Nínive.
38 Sucedeu que, estando ele a adorar na casa de Nisroque, seu deus, Adrameleque e Sarezer, seus filhos, o feriram à espada e fugiram para a terra de Ararate; e Esar-Hadom, seu filho, reinou em seu lugar.
37 And it came to pass, when king Hezekiah heard it, that he rent his clothes, and covered himself with sackcloth, and went into the house of the Lord. 2 And he sent Eliakim, who was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests covered with sackcloth, unto Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz. 3 And they said unto him, Thus saith Hezekiah, This day is a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and of blasphemy: for the children are come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth. 4 It may be the Lord thy God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master hath sent to reproach the living God, and will reprove the words which the Lord thy God hath heard: wherefore lift up thy prayer for the remnant that is left. 5 So the servants of king Hezekiah came to Isaiah. 6 And Isaiah said unto them, Thus shall ye say unto your master, Thus saith the Lord, Be not afraid of the words that thou hast heard, wherewith the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me. 7 Behold, I will send a blast upon him, and he shall hear a rumour, and return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land. 8 So Rabshakeh returned, and found the king of Assyria warring against Libnah: for he had heard that he was departed from Lachish. 9 And he heard say concerning Tirhakah king of Ethiopia, He is come forth to make war with thee. And when he heard it, he sent messengers to Hezekiah, saying, 10 Thus shall ye speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying, Let not thy God, in whom thou trustest, deceive thee, saying, Jerusalem shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria. 11 Behold, thou hast heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands by destroying them utterly; and shalt thou be delivered? 12 Have the gods of the nations delivered them which my fathers have destroyed, as Gozan, and Haran, and Rezeph, and the children of Eden which were in Telassar? 13 Where is the king of Hamath, and the king of Arphad, and the king of the city of Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivah? 14 And Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up unto the house of the Lord, and spread it before the Lord. 15 And Hezekiah prayed unto the Lord, saying, 16 O Lord of hosts, God of Israel, that dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth: thou hast made heaven and earth. 17 Incline thine ear, O Lord, and hear; open thine eyes, O Lord, and see: and hear all the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent to reproach the living God. 18 Of a truth, Lord, the kings of Assyria have laid waste all the nations, and their countries, 19 And have cast their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them. 20 Now therefore, O Lord our God, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the Lord, even thou only. 21 Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent unto Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Whereas thou hast prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria: 22 This is the word which the Lord hath spoken concerning him; The virgin, the daughter of Zion, hath despised thee, and laughed thee to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem hath shaken her head at thee. 23 Whom hast thou reproached and blasphemed? and against whom hast thou exalted thy voice, and lifted up thine eyes on high? even against the Holy One of Israel. 24 By thy servants hast thou reproached the Lord, and hast said, By the multitude of my chariots am I come up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon; and I will cut down the tall cedars thereof, and the choice fir trees thereof: and I will enter into the height of his border, and the forest of his Carmel. 25 I have digged, and drunk water; and with the sole of my feet have I dried up all the rivers of the besieged places. 26 Hast thou not heard long ago, how I have done it; and of ancient times, that I have formed it? now have I brought it to pass, that thou shouldest be to lay waste defenced cities into ruinous heaps. 27 Therefore their inhabitants were of small power, they were dismayed and confounded: they were as the grass of the field, and as the green herb, as the grass on the housetops, and as corn blasted before it be grown up. 28 But I know thy abode, and thy going out, and thy coming in, and thy rage against me. 29 Because thy rage against me, and thy tumult, is come up into mine ears, therefore will I put my hook in thy nose, and my bridle in thy lips, and I will turn thee back by the way by which thou camest. 30 And this shall be a sign unto thee, Ye shall eat this year such as groweth of itself; and the second year that which springeth of the same: and in the third year sow ye, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat the fruit thereof. 31 And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward: 32 For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the Lord of hosts shall do this. 33 Therefore thus saith the Lord concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shields, nor cast a bank against it. 34 By the way that he came, by the same shall he return, and shall not come into this city, saith the Lord. 35 For I will defend this city to save it for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake. 36 Then the angel of the Lord went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses. 37 So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh. 38 And it came to pass, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons smote him with the sword; and they escaped into the land of Armenia: and Esarhaddon his son reigned in his stead.

Verdadeiramente, as misericórdias do SENHOR são a causa de não sermos consumidos.De forma que, somente através do Senhor Jesus Cristo, Amado Filho do Deus do céu, é que podemos ser salvos. É que podem ser salvos, todos os que tem sede de viver, sede de justiça, sede da verdadeira paz.
Ese não houvesse sobre cada um de nós, a misericórdia do SENHOR?ASua Palavra diz que as suas misericórdias renovam-se, cada manhã.
O mundo ensina aos que lhe pertencem que as pessoas devem ser destemidas e independentes, em tudo.E assim, tais pessoas dão a vida e a alma para tudo vencer, entregam-se a muitos caminhos e sacrifícios. Que apenas a todos conduz, a um lugar escuro e sem ar, ao individualismo, morada do egocentrismo.

1 Cuidareis de cumprir todos os mandamentos que hoje vos ordeno, para que vivais, e vos multipliqueis, e entreis, e possuais a terra que o SENHOR prometeu sob juramento a vossos pais.
2 Recordar-te-ás de todo o caminho pelo qual o SENHOR, teu Deus, te guiou no deserto estes quarenta anos, para te humilhar, para te provar, para saber o que estava no teu coração, se guardarias ou não os seus mandamentos.
3 Ele te humilhou, e te deixou ter fome, e te sustentou com o maná, que tu não conhecias, nem teus pais o conheciam, para te dar a entender que não só de pão viverá o homem, mas de tudo o que procede da boca do SENHOR viverá o homem.
4 Nunca envelheceu a tua veste sobre ti, nem se inchou o teu pé nestes quarenta anos.
5 Sabe, pois, no teu coração, que, como um homem disciplina a seu filho, assim te disciplina o SENHOR, teu Deus.
6 Guarda os mandamentos do SENHOR, teu Deus, para andares nos seus caminhos e o temeres;
7 porque o SENHOR, teu Deus, te faz entrar numa boa terra, terra de ribeiros de águas, de fontes, de mananciais profundos, que saem dos vales e das montanhas;
8 terra de trigo e cevada, de vides, figueiras e romeiras; terra de oliveiras, de azeite e mel;
9 terra em que comerás o pão sem escassez, e nada te faltará nela; terra cujas pedras são ferro e de cujos montes cavarás o cobre.
10 Comerás, e te fartarás, e louvarás o SENHOR, teu Deus, pela boa terra que te deu.
11 Guarda-te não te esqueças do SENHOR, teu Deus, não cumprindo os seus mandamentos, os seus juízos e os seus estatutos, que hoje te ordeno;
12 para não suceder que, depois de teres comido e estiveres farto, depois de haveres edificado boas casas e morado nelas;
13 depois de se multiplicarem os teus gados e os teus rebanhos, e se aumentar a tua prata e o teu ouro, e ser abundante tudo quanto tens,
14 se eleve o teu coração, e te esqueças do SENHOR, teu Deus, que te tirou da terra do Egito, da casa da servidão,
15 que te conduziu por aquele grande e terrível deserto de serpentes abrasadoras, de escorpiões e de secura, em que não havia água; e te fez sair água da pederneira;
16 que no deserto te sustentou com maná, que teus pais não conheciam; para te humilhar, e para te provar, e, afinal, te fazer bem.
17 Não digas, pois, no teu coração: A minha força e o poder do meu braço me adquiriram estas riquezas.
18 Antes, te lembrarás do SENHOR, teu Deus, porque é ele o que te dá força para adquirires riquezas; para confirmar a sua aliança, que, sob juramento, prometeu a teus pais, como hoje se vê.
19 Se te esqueceres do SENHOR, teu Deus, e andares após outros deuses, e os servires, e os adorares, protesto, hoje, contra vós outros que perecereis.
20 Como as nações que o SENHOR destruiu de diante de vós, assim perecereis; porquanto não quisestes obedecer à voz do SENHOR, vosso Deus.
8 All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers. 2 And thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no. 3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live. 4 Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years. 5 Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the Lord thy God chasteneth thee. 6 Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him. 7 For the Lord thy God bringeth thee into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills; 8 A land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of oil olive, and honey; 9 A land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack any thing in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills thou mayest dig brass. 10 When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the Lord thy God for the good land which he hath given thee. 11 Beware that thou forget not the Lord thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day: 12 Lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein; 13 And when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied; 14 Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the Lord thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage; 15 Who led thee through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint; 16 Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end; 17 And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth. 18 But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day. 19 And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the Lord thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish. 20 As the nations which the Lord destroyeth before your face, so shall ye perish; because ye would not be obedient unto the voice of the Lord your God.

1 O que habita no esconderijo do Altíssimo e descansa à sombra do Onipotente
2 diz ao SENHOR: Meu refúgio e meu baluarte, Deus meu, em quem confio.
3 Pois ele te livrará do laço do passarinheiro e da peste perniciosa.
4 Cobrir-te-á com as suas penas, e, sob suas asas, estarás seguro; a sua verdade é pavês e escudo.
5 Não te assustarás do terror noturno, nem da seta que voa de dia,
6 nem da peste que se propaga nas trevas, nem da mortandade que assola ao meio-dia.
7 Caiam mil ao teu lado, e dez mil, à tua direita; tu não serás atingido.
8 Somente com os teus olhos contemplarás e verás o castigo dos ímpios.
9 Pois disseste: O SENHOR é o meu refúgio. Fizeste do Altíssimo a tua morada.
10 Nenhum mal te sucederá, praga nenhuma chegará à tua tenda.
11 Porque aos seus anjos dará ordens a teu respeito, para que te guardem em todos os teus caminhos.
12 Eles te sustentarão nas suas mãos, para não tropeçares nalguma pedra.
13 Pisarás o leão e a áspide, calcarás aos pés o leãozinho e a serpente.
14 Porque a mim se apegou com amor, eu o livrarei; pô-lo-ei a salvo, porque conhece o meu nome.
15 Ele me invocará, e eu lhe responderei; na sua angústia eu estarei com ele, livrá-lo-ei e o glorificarei.
16 Saciá-lo-ei com longevidade e lhe mostrarei a minha salvação.
91 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. 3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. 4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. 5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; 6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. 7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. 8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. 9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; 10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. 11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. 12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. 13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. 14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. 15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. 16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Isaías 36
1 No ano décimo quarto do rei Ezequias, subiu Senaqueribe, rei da Assíria, contra todas as cidades fortificadas de Judá e as tomou.
2 O rei da Assíria enviou Rabsaqué, de Laquis a Jerusalém, ao rei Ezequias, com grande exército; parou ele na extremidade do aqueduto do açude superior, junto ao caminho do campo do lavadeiro.
3 Então, saíram a encontrar-se com ele Eliaquim, filho de Hilquias, o mordomo, Sebna, o escrivão, e Joá, filho de Asafe, o cronista.
4 Rabsaqué lhes disse: Dizei a Ezequias: Assim diz o sumo rei, o rei da Assíria: Que confiança é essa em que te estribas?
5 Bem posso dizer-te que teu conselho e poder para a guerra não passam de vãs palavras; em quem, pois, agora confias, para que te rebeles contra mim?
6 Confias no Egito, esse bordão de cana esmagada, o qual, se alguém nele apoiar-se, lhe entrará pela mão e a traspassará; assim é Faraó, rei do Egito, para com todos os que nele confiam.
7 Mas, se me dizes: Confiamos no SENHOR, nosso Deus, não é esse aquele cujos altos e altares Ezequias removeu e disse a Judá e a Jerusalém: Perante este altar adorareis?
8 Ora, pois, empenha-te com meu senhor, rei da Assíria, e dar-te-ei dois mil cavalos, se de tua parte achares cavaleiros para os montar.
9 Como, pois, se não podes afugentar um só capitão dos menores dos servos do meu senhor, confias no Egito por causa dos carros e cavaleiros?
10 Acaso, subi eu agora sem o SENHOR contra esta terra, para a destruir? Pois o SENHOR mesmo me disse: Sobe contra a terra e destrói-a.
11 Então, disseram Eliaquim, Sebna e Joá a Rabsaqué: Pedimos-te que fales em aramaico aos teus servos, porque o entendemos, e não nos fales em judaico, aos ouvidos do povo que está sobre os muros.
12 Mas Rabsaqué lhes respondeu: Mandou-me, acaso, o meu senhor para dizer-te estas palavras a ti somente e a teu senhor? E não, antes, aos homens que estão assentados sobre os muros, para que comam convosco o seu próprio excremento e bebam a sua própria urina?
13 Então, Rabsaqué se pôs em pé, e clamou em alta voz em judaico, e disse: Ouvi as palavras do sumo rei, do rei da Assíria.
14 Assim diz o rei: Não vos engane Ezequias; porque não vos poderá livrar.
15 Nem tampouco Ezequias vos faça confiar no SENHOR, dizendo: O SENHOR certamente nos livrará, e esta cidade não será entregue nas mãos do rei da Assíria.
16 Não deis ouvidos a Ezequias; porque assim diz o rei da Assíria: Fazei as pazes comigo e vinde para mim; e comei, cada um da sua própria vide e da sua própria figueira, e bebei, cada um da água da sua própria cisterna;
17 até que eu venha e vos leve para uma terra como a vossa; terra de cereal e de vinho, terra de pão e de vinhas.
18 Não vos engane Ezequias, dizendo: O SENHOR nos livrará. Acaso, os deuses das nações livraram cada um a sua terra das mãos do rei da Assíria?
19 Onde estão os deuses de Hamate e de Arpade? Onde estão os deuses de Sefarvaim? Acaso, livraram eles a Samaria das minhas mãos?
20 Quais são, dentre todos os deuses destes países, os que livraram a sua terra das minhas mãos, para que o SENHOR livre a Jerusalém das minhas mãos?
21 Eles, porém, se calaram e não lhe responderam palavra; porque assim lhes havia ordenado o rei, dizendo: Não lhe respondereis.
22 Então, Eliaquim, filho de Hilquias, o mordomo, e Sebna, o escrivão, e Joá, filho de Asafe, o cronista, rasgaram suas vestes, vieram ter com Ezequias e lhe referiram as palavras de Rabsaqué.
36 Now it came to pass in the fourteenth year of king Hezekiah, that Sennacherib king of Assyria came up against all the defenced cities of Judah, and took them. 2 And the king of Assyria sent Rabshakeh from Lachish to Jerusalem unto king Hezekiah with a great army. And he stood by the conduit of the upper pool in the highway of the fuller's field. 3 Then came forth unto him Eliakim, Hilkiah's son, which was over the house, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah, Asaph's son, the recorder. 4 And Rabshakeh said unto them, Say ye now to Hezekiah, Thus saith the great king, the king of Assyria, What confidence is this wherein thou trustest? 5 I say, sayest thou, (but they are but vain words) I have counsel and strength for war: now on whom dost thou trust, that thou rebellest against me? 6 Lo, thou trustest in the staff of this broken reed, on Egypt; whereon if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it: so is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all that trust in him. 7 But if thou say to me, We trust in the Lord our God: is it not he, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away, and said to Judah and to Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this altar? 8 Now therefore give pledges, I pray thee, to my master the king of Assyria, and I will give thee two thousand horses, if thou be able on thy part to set riders upon them. 9 How then wilt thou turn away the face of one captain of the least of my master's servants, and put thy trust on Egypt for chariots and for horsemen? 10 And am I now come up without the Lord against this land to destroy it? the Lord said unto me, Go up against this land, and destroy it. 11 Then said Eliakim and Shebna and Joah unto Rabshakeh, Speak, I pray thee, unto thy servants in the Syrian language; for we understand it: and speak not to us in the Jews' language, in the ears of the people that are on the wall. 12 But Rabshakeh said, Hath my master sent me to thy master and to thee to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men that sit upon the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you? 13 Then Rabshakeh stood, and cried with a loud voice in the Jews' language, and said, Hear ye the words of the great king, the king of Assyria. 14 Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive you: for he shall not be able to deliver you. 15 Neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the Lord, saying, The Lord will surely deliver us: this city shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria. 16 Hearken not to Hezekiah: for thus saith the king of Assyria, Make an agreement with me by a present, and come out to me: and eat ye every one of his vine, and every one of his fig tree, and drink ye every one the waters of his own cistern; 17 Until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of corn and wine, a land of bread and vineyards. 18 Beware lest Hezekiah persuade you, saying, the Lord will deliver us. Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria? 19 Where are the gods of Hamath and Arphad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim? and have they delivered Samaria out of my hand? 20 Who are they among all the gods of these lands, that have delivered their land out of my hand, that the Lord should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand? 21 But they held their peace, and answered him not a word: for the king's commandment was, saying, Answer him not. 22 Then came Eliakim, the son of Hilkiah, that was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah, the son of Asaph, the recorder, to Hezekiah with their clothes rent, and told him the words of Rabshakeh.

Aquele que ficar somente olhando pela janela não poderá jamais ver a promessa cumprir-se em sua própria vida, em seus próprios dias. A promessa de ver as janelas do céu abrirem-se e serem derramadas em seu ser e viver, as bençãos, sem medidas do SENHOR, em Cristo Jesus.E por intermédio tão somente d'ELE e para Sua exclusiva glória.
Ora, quem é oRei daGlória?
