Deuteronômio 15
1 Ao fim de cada sete anos, farás remissão.
2 Este, pois, é o modo da remissão: todo credor que emprestou ao seu próximo alguma coisa remitirá o que havia emprestado; não o exigirá do seu próximo ou do seu irmão, pois a remissão do SENHOR é proclamada.
3 Do estranho podes exigi-lo, mas o que tiveres em poder de teu irmão, quitá-lo-ás;
4 para que entre ti não haja pobre; pois o SENHOR, teu Deus, te abençoará abundantemente na terra que te dá por herança, para a possuíres,
5 se apenas ouvires, atentamente, a voz do SENHOR, teu Deus, para cuidares em cumprir todos estes mandamentos que hoje te ordeno.
6 Pois o SENHOR, teu Deus, te abençoará, como te tem dito; assim, emprestarás a muitas nações, mas não tomarás empréstimos; e dominarás muitas nações, porém elas não te dominarão.
7 Quando entre ti houver algum pobre de teus irmãos, em alguma das tuas cidades, na tua terra que o SENHOR, teu Deus, te dá, não endurecerás o teu coração, nem fecharás as mãos a teu irmão pobre;
8 antes, lhe abrirás de todo a mão e lhe emprestarás o que lhe falta, quanto baste para a sua necessidade.
9 Guarda-te não haja pensamento vil no teu coração, nem digas: Está próximo o sétimo ano, o ano da remissão, de sorte que os teus olhos sejam malignos para com teu irmão pobre, e não lhe dês nada, e ele clame contra ti ao SENHOR, e haja em ti pecado.
10 Livremente, lhe darás, e não seja maligno o teu coração, quando lho deres; pois, por isso, te abençoará o SENHOR, teu Deus, em toda a tua obra e em tudo o que empreenderes.
11 Pois nunca deixará de haver pobres na terra; por isso, eu te ordeno: livremente, abrirás a mão para o teu irmão, para o necessitado, para o pobre na tua terra.
12 Quando um de teus irmãos, hebreu ou hebréia, te for vendido, seis anos servir-te-á, mas, no sétimo, o despedirás forro.
13 E, quando de ti o despedires forro, não o deixarás ir vazio.
14 Liberalmente, lhe fornecerás do teu rebanho, da tua eira e do teu lagar; daquilo com que o SENHOR, teu Deus, te houver abençoado, lhe darás.
15 Lembrar-te-ás de que foste servo na terra do Egito e de que o SENHOR, teu Deus, te remiu; pelo que, hoje, isso te ordeno.
16 Se, porém, ele te disser: Não sairei de ti; porquanto te ama, a ti e a tua casa, por estar bem contigo,
17 então, tomarás uma sovela e lhe furarás a orelha, na porta, e será para sempre teu servo; e também assim farás à tua serva.
18 Não pareça aos teus olhos duro o despedi-lo forro; pois seis anos te serviu por metade do salário do jornaleiro; assim, o SENHOR, teu Deus, te abençoará em tudo o que fizeres.
19 Todo primogênito que nascer do teu gado ou de tuas ovelhas, o macho consagrarás ao SENHOR, teu Deus; com o primogênito do teu gado não trabalharás, nem tosquiarás o primogênito das tuas ovelhas.
20 Comê-lo-ás perante o SENHOR, tu e a tua casa, de ano em ano, no lugar que o SENHOR escolher.
21 Porém, havendo nele algum defeito, se for coxo, ou cego, ou tiver outro defeito grave, não o sacrificarás ao SENHOR, teu Deus.
22 Na tua cidade, o comerás; o imundo e o limpo o comerão juntamente, como a carne do corço ou do veado.
23 Somente o seu sangue não comerás; sobre a terra o derramarás como água.
15 At the end of every seven years thou shalt make a release. 2 And this is the manner of the release: Every creditor that lendeth ought unto his neighbour shall release it; he shall not exact it of his neighbour, or of his brother; because it is called the Lord's release. 3 Of a foreigner thou mayest exact it again: but that which is thine with thy brother thine hand shall release; 4 Save when there shall be no poor among you; for the Lord shall greatly bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it: 5 Only if thou carefully hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all these commandments which I command thee this day. 6 For the Lord thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee. 7 If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother: 8 But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he wanteth. 9 Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou givest him nought; and he cry unto the Lord against thee, and it be sin unto thee. 10 Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto. 11 For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land. 12 And if thy brother, an Hebrew man, or an Hebrew woman, be sold unto thee, and serve thee six years; then in the seventh year thou shalt let him go free from thee. 13 And when thou sendest him out free from thee, thou shalt not let him go away empty: 14 Thou shalt furnish him liberally out of thy flock, and out of thy floor, and out of thy winepress: of that wherewith the Lord thy God hath blessed thee thou shalt give unto him. 15 And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt, and the Lord thy God redeemed thee: therefore I command thee this thing to day. 16 And it shall be, if he say unto thee, I will not go away from thee; because he loveth thee and thine house, because he is well with thee; 17 Then thou shalt take an aul, and thrust it through his ear unto the door, and he shall be thy servant for ever. And also unto thy maidservant thou shalt do likewise. 18 It shall not seem hard unto thee, when thou sendest him away free from thee; for he hath been worth a double hired servant to thee, in serving thee six years: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all that thou doest. 19 All the firstling males that come of thy herd and of thy flock thou shalt sanctify unto the Lord thy God: thou shalt do no work with the firstling of thy bullock, nor shear the firstling of thy sheep. 20 Thou shalt eat it before the Lord thy God year by year in the place which the Lord shall choose, thou and thy household. 21 And if there be any blemish therein, as if it be lame, or blind, or have any ill blemish, thou shalt not sacrifice it unto the Lord thy God. 22 Thou shalt eat it within thy gates: the unclean and the clean person shall eat it alike, as the roebuck, and as the hart. 23 Only thou shalt not eat the blood thereof; thou shalt pour it upon the ground as water.

Salmos 101
1 Cantarei a bondade e a justiça; a ti, SENHOR, cantarei.
2 Atentarei sabiamente ao caminho da perfeição. Oh! Quando virás ter comigo? Portas a dentro, em minha casa, terei coração sincero.
3 Não porei coisa injusta diante dos meus olhos; aborreço o proceder dos que se desviam; nada disto se me pegará.
4 Longe de mim o coração perverso; não quero conhecer o mal.
5 Ao que às ocultas calunia o próximo, a esse destruirei; o que tem olhar altivo e coração soberbo, não o suportarei.
6 Os meus olhos procurarão os fiéis da terra, para que habitem comigo; o que anda em reto caminho, esse me servirá.
7 Não há de ficar em minha casa o que usa de fraude; o que profere mentiras não permanecerá ante os meus olhos.
8 Manhã após manhã, destruirei todos os ímpios da terra, para limpar a cidade do SENHOR dos que praticam a iniquidade.
101 I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O Lord, will I sing.
2 I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. 3 I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. 4 A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person. 5 Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer. 6 Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me. 7 He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight. 8 I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the Lord.

1 Ouve, SENHOR, a minha súplica, e cheguem a ti os meus clamores.
2 Não me ocultes o rosto no dia da minha angústia; inclina-me os ouvidos; no dia em que eu clamar, dá-te pressa em acudir-me.
3 Porque os meus dias, como fumaça, se desvanecem, e os meus ossos ardem como em fornalha.
4 Ferido como a erva, secou-se o meu coração; até me esqueço de comer o meu pão.
5 Os meus ossos já se apegam à pele, por causa do meu dolorido gemer.
6 Sou como o pelicano no deserto, como a coruja das ruínas.
7 Não durmo e sou como o passarinho solitário nos telhados.
8 Os meus inimigos me insultam a toda hora; furiosos contra mim, praguejam com o meu próprio nome.
9 Por pão tenho comido cinza e misturado com lágrimas a minha bebida,
10 por causa da tua indignação e da tua ira, porque me elevaste e depois me abateste.
11 Como a sombra que declina, assim os meus dias, e eu me vou secando como a relva.
12 Tu, porém, SENHOR, permaneces para sempre, e a memória do teu nome, de geração em geração.
13 Levantar-te-ás e terás piedade de Sião; é tempo de te compadeceres dela, e já é vinda a sua hora;
14 porque os teus servos amam até as pedras de Sião e se condoem do seu pó.
15 Todas as nações temerão o nome do SENHOR, e todos os reis da terra, a sua glória;
16 porque o SENHOR edificou a Sião, apareceu na sua glória,
17 atendeu à oração do desamparado e não lhe desdenhou as preces.
18 Ficará isto registrado para a geração futura, e um povo, que há de ser criado, louvará ao SENHOR;
19 que o SENHOR, do alto do seu santuário, desde os céus, baixou vistas à terra,
20 para ouvir o gemido dos cativos e libertar os condenados à morte,
21 a fim de que seja anunciado em Sião o nome do SENHOR e o seu louvor, em Jerusalém,
22 quando se reunirem os povos e os reinos, para servirem ao SENHOR.
23 Ele me abateu a força no caminho e me abreviou os dias.
24 Dizia eu: Deus meu, não me leves na metade de minha vida; tu, cujos anos se estendem por todas as gerações.
25 Em tempos remotos, lançaste os fundamentos da terra; e os céus são obra das tuas mãos.
26 Eles perecerão, mas tu permaneces; todos eles envelhecerão como uma veste, como roupa os mudarás, e serão mudados.
27 Tu, porém, és sempre o mesmo, e os teus anos jamais terão fim.
28 Os filhos dos teus servos habitarão seguros, e diante de ti se estabelecerá a sua descendência.
102 Hear my prayer, O Lord, and let my cry come unto thee.
2 Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily. 3 For my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned as an hearth. 4 My heart is smitten, and withered like grass; so that I forget to eat my bread. 5 By reason of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my skin. 6 I am like a pelican of the wilderness: I am like an owl of the desert. 7 I watch, and am as a sparrow alone upon the house top. 8 Mine enemies reproach me all the day; and they that are mad against me are sworn against me. 9 For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with weeping. 10 Because of thine indignation and thy wrath: for thou hast lifted me up, and cast me down. 11 My days are like a shadow that declineth; and I am withered like grass. 12 But thou, O Lord, shall endure for ever; and thy remembrance unto all generations. 13 Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come. 14 For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and favour the dust thereof. 15 So the heathen shall fear the name of the Lord, and all the kings of the earth thy glory. 16 When the Lord shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory. 17 He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer. 18 This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the Lord. 19 For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the Lord behold the earth; 20 To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death; 21 To declare the name of the Lord in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem; 22 When the people are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve the Lord. 23 He weakened my strength in the way; he shortened my days. 24 I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days: thy years are throughout all generations. 25 Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands. 26 They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed: 27 But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end. 28 The children of thy servants shall continue, and their seed shall be established before thee.

Isaías 42
1 Eis aqui o meu servo, a quem sustenho; o meu escolhido, em quem a minha alma se compraz; pus sobre ele o meu Espírito, e ele promulgará o direito para os gentios.
2 Não clamará, nem gritará, nem fará ouvir a sua voz na praça.
3 Não esmagará a cana quebrada, nem apagará a torcida que fumega; em verdade, promulgará o direito.
4 Não desanimará, nem se quebrará até que ponha na terra o direito; e as terras do mar aguardarão a sua doutrina.
5 Assim diz Deus, o SENHOR, que criou os céus e os estendeu, formou a terra e a tudo quanto produz; que dá fôlego de vida ao povo que nela está e o espírito aos que andam nela.
6 Eu, o SENHOR, te chamei em justiça, tomar-te-ei pela mão, e te guardarei, e te farei mediador da aliança com o povo e luz para os gentios;
7 para abrires os olhos aos cegos, para tirares da prisão o cativo e do cárcere, os que jazem em trevas.
8 Eu sou o SENHOR, este é o meu nome; a minha glória, pois, não a darei a outrem, nem a minha honra, às imagens de escultura.
9 Eis que as primeiras predições já se cumpriram, e novas coisas eu vos anuncio; e, antes que sucedam, eu vo-las farei ouvir.
10 Cantai ao SENHOR um cântico novo e o seu louvor até às extremidades da terra, vós, os que navegais pelo mar e tudo quanto há nele, vós, terras do mar e seus moradores.
11 Alcem a voz o deserto, as suas cidades e as aldeias habitadas por Quedar; exultem os que habitam nas rochas e clamem do cimo dos montes;
12 dêem honra ao SENHOR e anunciem a sua glória nas terras do mar.
13 O SENHOR sairá como valente, despertará o seu zelo como homem de guerra; clamará, lançará forte grito de guerra e mostrará sua força contra os seus inimigos.
14 Por muito tempo me calei, estive em silêncio e me contive; mas agora darei gritos como a parturiente, e ao mesmo tempo ofegarei, e estarei esbaforido.
15 Os montes e outeiros devastarei e toda a sua erva farei secar; tornarei os rios em terra firme e secarei os lagos.
16 Guiarei os cegos por um caminho que não conhecem, fá-los-ei andar por veredas desconhecidas; tornarei as trevas em luz perante eles e os caminhos escabrosos, planos. Estas coisas lhes farei e jamais os desampararei.
17 Tornarão atrás e confundir-se-ão de vergonha os que confiam em imagens de escultura e às imagens de fundição dizem: Vós sois nossos deuses.
18 Surdos, ouvi, e vós, cegos, olhai, para que possais ver.
19 Quem é cego, como o meu servo, ou surdo, como o meu mensageiro, a quem envio? Quem é cego, como o meu amigo, e cego, como o servo do SENHOR?
20 Tu vês muitas coisas, mas não as observas; ainda que tens os ouvidos abertos, nada ouves.
21 Foi do agrado do SENHOR, por amor da sua própria justiça, engrandecer a lei e fazê-la gloriosa.
22 Não obstante, é um povo roubado e saqueado; todos estão enlaçados em cavernas e escondidos em cárceres; são postos como presa, e ninguém há que os livre; por despojo, e ninguém diz: Restitui.
23 Quem há entre vós que ouça isto? Que atenda e ouça o que há de ser depois?
24 Quem entregou Jacó por despojo e Israel, aos roubadores? Acaso, não foi o SENHOR, aquele contra quem pecaram e nos caminhos do qual não queriam andar, não dando ouvidos à sua lei?
25 Pelo que derramou sobre eles o furor da sua ira e a violência da guerra; isto lhes ateou fogo ao redor, contudo, não o entenderam; e os queimou, mas não fizeram caso.

Deuteronômio 13
1 Quando profeta ou sonhador se levantar no meio de ti e te anunciar um sinal ou prodígio,
2 e suceder o tal sinal ou prodígio de que te houver falado, e disser: Vamos após outros deuses, que não conheceste, e sirvamo-los,
3 não ouvirás as palavras desse profeta ou sonhador; porquanto o SENHOR, vosso Deus, vos prova, para saber se amais o SENHOR, vosso Deus, de todo o vosso coração e de toda a vossa alma.
4 Andareis após o SENHOR, vosso Deus, e a ele temereis; guardareis os seus mandamentos, ouvireis a sua voz, a ele servireis e a ele vos achegareis.
5 Esse profeta ou sonhador será morto, pois pregou rebeldia contra o SENHOR, vosso Deus, que vos tirou da terra do Egito e vos resgatou da casa da servidão, para vos apartar do caminho que vos ordenou o SENHOR, vosso Deus, para andardes nele. Assim, eliminarás o mal do meio de ti.
6 Se teu irmão, filho de tua mãe, ou teu filho, ou tua filha, ou a mulher do teu amor, ou teu amigo que amas como à tua alma te incitar em segredo, dizendo: Vamos e sirvamos a outros deuses, que não conheceste, nem tu, nem teus pais,
7 dentre os deuses dos povos que estão em redor de ti, perto ou longe de ti, desde uma até à outra extremidade da terra,
8 não concordarás com ele, nem o ouvirás; não olharás com piedade, não o pouparás, nem o esconderás,
9 mas, certamente, o matarás. A tua mão será a primeira contra ele, para o matar, e depois a mão de todo o povo.
10 Apedrejá-lo-ás até que morra, pois te procurou apartar do SENHOR, teu Deus, que te tirou da terra do Egito, da casa da servidão.
11 E todo o Israel ouvirá e temerá, e não se tornará a praticar maldade como esta no meio de ti.
12 Quando em alguma das tuas cidades que o SENHOR, teu Deus, te dá, para ali habitares, ouvires dizer
13 que homens malignos saíram do meio de ti e incitaram os moradores da sua cidade, dizendo: Vamos e sirvamos a outros deuses, que não conheceste,
14 então, inquirirás, investigarás e, com diligência, perguntarás; e eis que, se for verdade e certo que tal abominação se cometeu no meio de ti,
15 então, certamente, ferirás a fio de espada os moradores daquela cidade, destruindo-a completamente e tudo o que nela houver, até os animais.
16 Ajuntarás todo o seu despojo no meio da sua praça e a cidade e todo o seu despojo queimarás por oferta total ao SENHOR, teu Deus, e será montão perpétuo de ruínas; nunca mais se edificará.
17 Também nada do que for condenado deverá ficar em tua mão, para que o SENHOR se aparte do ardor da sua ira, e te faça misericórdia, e tenha piedade de ti, e te multiplique, como jurou a teus pais,
18 se ouvires a voz do SENHOR, teu Deus, e guardares todos os seus mandamentos que hoje te ordeno, para fazeres o que é reto aos olhos do SENHOR, teu Deus.
13 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, 2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; 3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the Lord your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. 4 Ye shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. 5 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the Lord your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the Lord thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee. 6 If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers; 7 Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth; 8 Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him: 9 But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. 10 And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. 11 And all Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall do no more any such wickedness as this is among you. 12 If thou shalt hear say in one of thy cities, which the Lord thy God hath given thee to dwell there, saying, 13 Certain men, the children of Belial, are gone out from among you, and have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which ye have not known; 14 Then shalt thou enquire, and make search, and ask diligently; and, behold, if it be truth, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought among you; 15 Thou shalt surely smite the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that is therein, and the cattle thereof, with the edge of the sword. 16 And thou shalt gather all the spoil of it into the midst of the street thereof, and shalt burn with fire the city, and all the spoil thereof every whit, for the Lord thy God: and it shall be an heap for ever; it shall not be built again. 17 And there shall cleave nought of the cursed thing to thine hand: that the Lord may turn from the fierceness of his anger, and shew thee mercy, and have compassion upon thee, and multiply thee, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers; 18 When thou shalt hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep all his commandments which I command thee this day, to do that which is right in the eyes of the Lord thy God.

Deuteronômio 14
1 Filhos sois do SENHOR, vosso Deus; não vos dareis golpes, nem sobre a testa fareis calva por causa de algum morto.
2 Porque sois povo santo ao SENHOR, vosso Deus, e o SENHOR vos escolheu de todos os povos que há sobre a face da terra, para lhe serdes seu povo próprio.
3 Não comereis coisa alguma abominável.
4 São estes os animais que comereis: o boi, a ovelha, a cabra,
5 o veado, a gazela, a corça, a cabra montês, o antílope, a ovelha montês e o gamo.
6 Todo animal que tem unhas fendidas, e o casco se divide em dois, e rumina, entre os animais, isso comereis.
7 Porém estes não comereis, dos que somente ruminam ou que têm a unha fendida: o camelo, a lebre e o arganaz, porque ruminam, mas não têm a unha fendida; imundos vos serão.
8 Nem o porco, porque tem unha fendida, mas não rumina; imundo vos será. Destes não comereis a carne e não tocareis no seu cadáver.
9 Isto comereis de tudo o que há nas águas: tudo o que tem barbatanas e escamas.
10 Mas tudo o que não tiver barbatanas nem escamas não o comereis; imundo vos será.
11 Toda ave limpa comereis.
12 Estas, porém, são as que não comereis: a águia, o quebrantosso, a águia marinha,
13 o açor, o falcão e o milhano, segundo a sua espécie;
14 e todo corvo, segundo a sua espécie;
15 o avestruz, a coruja, a gaivota e o gavião, segundo a sua espécie;
16 o mocho, a íbis, a gralha,
17 o pelicano, o abutre, o corvo marinho,
18 a cegonha, e a garça, segundo a sua espécie, e a poupa, e o morcego.
19 Também todo inseto que voa vos será imundo; não se comerá.
20 Toda ave limpa comereis.
21 Não comereis nenhum animal que morreu por si. Podereis dá-lo ao estrangeiro que está dentro da tua cidade, para que o coma, ou vendê-lo ao estranho, porquanto sois povo santo ao SENHOR, vosso Deus. Não cozerás o cabrito no leite da sua própria mãe.
22 Certamente, darás os dízimos de todo o fruto das tuas sementes, que ano após ano se recolher do campo.
23 E, perante o SENHOR, teu Deus, no lugar que escolher para ali fazer habitar o seu nome, comerás os dízimos do teu cereal, do teu vinho, do teu azeite e os primogênitos das tuas vacas e das tuas ovelhas; para que aprendas a temer o SENHOR, teu Deus, todos os dias.
24 Quando o caminho te for comprido demais, que os não possas levar, por estar longe de ti o lugar que o SENHOR, teu Deus, escolher para ali pôr o seu nome, quando o SENHOR, teu Deus, te tiver abençoado,
25 então, vende-os, e leva o dinheiro na tua mão, e vai ao lugar que o SENHOR, teu Deus, escolher.
26 Esse dinheiro, dá-lo-ás por tudo o que deseja a tua alma, por vacas, ou ovelhas, ou vinho, ou bebida forte, ou qualquer coisa que te pedir a tua alma; come-o ali perante o SENHOR, teu Deus, e te alegrarás, tu e a tua casa;
27 porém não desampararás o levita que está dentro da tua cidade, pois não tem parte nem herança contigo.
28 Ao fim de cada três anos, tirarás todos os dízimos do fruto do terceiro ano e os recolherás na tua cidade.
29 Então, virão o levita (pois não tem parte nem herança contigo), o estrangeiro, o órfão e a viúva que estão dentro da tua cidade, e comerão, e se fartarão, para que o SENHOR, teu Deus, te abençoe em todas as obras que as tuas mãos fizerem.

Isaías 41
1 Calai-vos perante mim, ó ilhas, e os povos renovem as suas forças; cheguem-se e, então, falem; cheguemo-nos e pleiteemos juntos.
2 Quem suscitou do Oriente aquele a cujos passos segue a vitória? Quem faz que as nações se lhe submetam, e que ele calque aos pés os reis, e com a sua espada os transforme em pó, e com o seu arco, em palha que o vento arrebata?
3 Persegue-os e passa adiante em segurança, por uma vereda que seus pés jamais trilharam.
4 Quem fez e executou tudo isso? Aquele que desde o princípio tem chamado as gerações à existência, eu, o SENHOR, o primeiro, e com os últimos eu mesmo.
5 Os países do mar viram isto e temeram, os fins da terra tremeram, aproximaram-se e vieram.

23 Anunciai-nos as coisas que ainda hão de vir, para que saibamos que sois deuses; fazei bem ou fazei mal, para que nos assombremos, e juntamente o veremos.
