Deuteronômio 21
1 Quando na terra que te der o SENHOR, teu Deus, para possuí-la se achar alguém morto, caído no campo, sem que se saiba quem o matou,
2 sairão os teus anciãos e os teus juízes e medirão a distância até às cidades que estiverem em redor do morto.
3 Os anciãos da cidade mais próxima do morto tomarão uma novilha da manada, que não tenha trabalhado, nem puxado com o jugo,
4 e a trarão a um vale de águas correntes, que não foi lavrado, nem semeado; e ali, naquele vale, desnucarão a novilha.
5 Chegar-se-ão os sacerdotes, filhos de Levi, porque o SENHOR, teu Deus, os escolheu para o servirem, para abençoarem em nome do SENHOR e, por sua palavra, decidirem toda demanda e todo caso de violência.
6 Todos os anciãos desta cidade, mais próximos do morto, lavarão as mãos sobre a novilha desnucada no vale
7 e dirão: As nossas mãos não derramaram este sangue, e os nossos olhos o não viram derramar-se.
8 Sê propício ao teu povo de Israel, que tu, ó SENHOR, resgataste, e não ponhas a culpa do sangue inocente no meio do teu povo de Israel. E a culpa daquele sangue lhe será perdoada.
9 Assim, eliminarás a culpa do sangue inocente do meio de ti, pois farás o que é reto aos olhos do SENHOR.
10 Quando saíres à peleja contra os teus inimigos, e o SENHOR, teu Deus, os entregar nas tuas mãos, e tu deles levares cativos,
11 e vires entre eles uma mulher formosa, e te afeiçoares a ela, e a quiseres tomar por mulher,
12 então, a levarás para casa, e ela rapará a cabeça, e cortará as unhas,
13 e despirá o vestido do seu cativeiro, e ficará na tua casa, e chorará a seu pai e a sua mãe durante um mês. Depois disto, a tomarás; tu serás seu marido, e ela, tua mulher.
14 E, se não te agradares dela, deixá-la-ás ir à sua própria vontade; porém, de nenhuma sorte, a venderás por dinheiro, nem a tratarás mal, pois a tens humilhado.
15 Se um homem tiver duas mulheres, uma a quem ama e outra a quem aborrece, e uma e outra lhe derem filhos, e o primogênito for da aborrecida,
16 no dia em que fizer herdar a seus filhos aquilo que possuir, não poderá dar a primogenitura ao filho da amada, preferindo-o ao filho da aborrecida, que é o primogênito.
17 Mas ao filho da aborrecida reconhecerá por primogênito, dando-lhe dobrada porção de tudo quanto possuir, porquanto aquele é o primogênito do seu vigor; o direito da primogenitura é dele.
18 Se alguém tiver um filho contumaz e rebelde, que não obedece à voz de seu pai e à de sua mãe e, ainda castigado, não lhes dá ouvidos,
19 seu pai e sua mãe o pegarão, e o levarão aos anciãos da cidade, à sua porta,
20 e lhes dirão: Este nosso filho é rebelde e contumaz, não dá ouvidos à nossa voz, é dissoluto e beberrão.
21 Então, todos os homens da sua cidade o apedrejarão até que morra; assim, eliminarás o mal do meio de ti; todo o Israel ouvirá e temerá.
22 Se alguém houver pecado, passível da pena de morte, e tiver sido morto, e o pendurares num madeiro,
23 o seu cadáver não permanecerá no madeiro durante a noite, mas, certamente, o enterrarás no mesmo dia; porquanto o que for pendurado no madeiro é maldito de Deus; assim, não contaminarás a terra que o SENHOR, teu Deus, te dá em herança.
21 If one be found slain in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee to possess it, lying in the field, and it be not known who hath slain him: 2 Then thy elders and thy judges shall come forth, and they shall measure unto the cities which are round about him that is slain: 3 And it shall be, that the city which is next unto the slain man, even the elders of that city shall take an heifer, which hath not been wrought with, and which hath not drawn in the yoke; 4 And the elders of that city shall bring down the heifer unto a rough valley, which is neither eared nor sown, and shall strike off the heifer's neck there in the valley: 5 And the priests the sons of Levi shall come near; for them the Lord thy God hath chosen to minister unto him, and to bless in the name of the Lord; and by their word shall every controversy and every stroke be tried: 6 And all the elders of that city, that are next unto the slain man, shall wash their hands over the heifer that is beheaded in the valley: 7 And they shall answer and say, Our hands have not shed this blood, neither have our eyes seen it. 8 Be merciful, O Lord, unto thy people Israel, whom thou hast redeemed, and lay not innocent blood unto thy people of Israel's charge. And the blood shall be forgiven them. 9 So shalt thou put away the guilt of innocent blood from among you, when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of the Lord. 10 When thou goest forth to war against thine enemies, and the Lord thy God hath delivered them into thine hands, and thou hast taken them captive, 11 And seest among the captives a beautiful woman, and hast a desire unto her, that thou wouldest have her to thy wife; 12 Then thou shalt bring her home to thine house, and she shall shave her head, and pare her nails; 13 And she shall put the raiment of her captivity from off her, and shall remain in thine house, and bewail her father and her mother a full month: and after that thou shalt go in unto her, and be her husband, and she shall be thy wife. 14 And it shall be, if thou have no delight in her, then thou shalt let her go whither she will; but thou shalt not sell her at all for money, thou shalt not make merchandise of her, because thou hast humbled her. 15 If a man have two wives, one beloved, and another hated, and they have born him children, both the beloved and the hated; and if the firstborn son be hers that was hated: 16 Then it shall be, when he maketh his sons to inherit that which he hath, that he may not make the son of the beloved firstborn before the son of the hated, which is indeed the firstborn: 17 But he shall acknowledge the son of the hated for the firstborn, by giving him a double portion of all that he hath: for he is the beginning of his strength; the right of the firstborn is his. 18 If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them: 19 Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place; 20 And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard. 21 And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shalt thou put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear. 22 And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree: 23 His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God;) that thy land be not defiled, which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.

1 Firme está o meu coração, ó Deus! Cantarei e entoarei louvores de toda a minha alma.
2 Despertai, saltério e harpa! Quero acordar a alva.
3 Render-te-ei graças entre os povos, ó SENHOR! Cantar-te-ei louvores entre as nações.
4 Porque acima dos céus se eleva a tua misericórdia, e a tua fidelidade, para além das nuvens.
5 Sê exaltado, ó Deus, acima dos céus; e em toda a terra esplenda a tua glória,
6 para que os teus amados sejam livres; salva com a tua destra e responde-nos.
7 Disse Deus na sua santidade: Exultarei; dividirei Siquém e medirei o vale de Sucote.
8 Meu é Gileade, meu é Manassés; Efraim é a defesa de minha cabeça; Judá é o meu cetro.

1 Ó Deus do meu louvor, não te cales!
2 Pois contra mim se desataram lábios maldosos e fraudulentos; com mentirosa língua falam contra mim.
3 Cercam-me com palavras odiosas e sem causa me fazem guerra.
4 Em paga do meu amor, me hostilizam; eu, porém, oro.
5 Pagaram-me o bem com o mal; o amor, com ódio.
6 Suscita contra ele um ímpio, e à sua direita esteja um acusador.
7 Quando o julgarem, seja condenado; e, tida como pecado, a sua oração.
8 Os seus dias sejam poucos, e tome outro o seu encargo.
9 Fiquem órfãos os seus filhos, e viúva, a sua esposa.
10 Andem errantes os seus filhos e mendiguem; e sejam expulsos das ruínas de suas casas.
11 De tudo o que tem, lance mão o usurário; do fruto do seu trabalho, esbulhem-no os estranhos.
12 Ninguém tenha misericórdia dele, nem haja quem se compadeça dos seus órfãos.

15 Permaneçam ante os olhos do SENHOR, para que faça desaparecer da terra a memória deles.
16 Porquanto não se lembrou de usar de misericórdia, mas perseguiu o aflito e o necessitado, como também o quebrantado de coração, para os entregar à morte.
17 Amou a maldição; ela o apanhe; não quis a bênção; aparte-se dele.
18 Vestiu-se de maldição como de uma túnica: penetre, como água, no seu interior e nos seus ossos, como azeite.
19 Seja-lhe como a roupa que o cobre e como o cinto com que sempre se cinge.
20 Tal seja, da parte do SENHOR, o galardão dos meus contrários e dos que falam mal contra a minha alma.
21 Mas tu, SENHOR Deus, age por mim, por amor do teu nome; livra-me, porque é grande a tua misericórdia.
22 Porque estou aflito e necessitado e, dentro de mim, sinto ferido o coração.
23 Vou passando, como a sombra que declina; sou atirado para longe, como um gafanhoto.
24 De tanto jejuar, os joelhos me vacilam, e de magreza vai mirrando a minha carne.
25 Tornei-me para eles objeto de opróbrio; quando me vêem, meneiam a cabeça.
26 Socorre, SENHOR, Deus meu! Salva-me segundo a tua misericórdia.
27 Para que saibam vir isso das tuas mãos; que tu, SENHOR, o fizeste.
28 Amaldiçoem eles, mas tu, abençoa; sejam confundidos os que contra mim se levantam; alegre-se, porém, o teu servo.
29 Cubram-se de ignomínia os meus adversários, e a sua própria confusão os envolva como uma túnica.
30 Muitas graças darei ao SENHOR com os meus lábios; louvá-lo-ei no meio da multidão;
31 porque ele se põe à direita do pobre, para o livrar dos que lhe julgam a alma.

1 Ouvi isto, casa de Jacó, que vos chamais pelo nome de Israel e saístes da linhagem de Judá, que jurais pelo nome do SENHOR e confessais o Deus de Israel, mas não em verdade nem em justiça.
2 (Da santa cidade tomam o nome e se firmam sobre o Deus de Israel, cujo nome é SENHOR dos Exércitos.)
3 As primeiras coisas, desde a antiguidade, as anunciei; sim, pronunciou-as a minha boca, e eu as fiz ouvir; de repente agi, e elas se cumpriram.
4 Porque eu sabia que eras obstinado, e a tua cerviz é um tendão de ferro, e tens a testa de bronze.
5 Por isso, to anunciei desde aquele tempo e to dei a conhecer antes que acontecesse, para que não dissesses: O meu ídolo fez estas coisas; ou: A minha imagem de escultura e a fundição as ordenaram.
6 Já o tens ouvido; olha para tudo isto; porventura, não o admites? Desde agora te faço ouvir coisas novas e ocultas, que não conhecias.
7 Apareceram agora e não há muito, e antes deste dia delas não ouviste, para que não digas: Eis que já o sabia.
8 Tu nem as ouviste, nem as conheceste, nem tampouco antecipadamente se te abriram os ouvidos, porque eu sabia que procederias mui perfidamente e eras chamado de transgressor desde o ventre materno.
9 Por amor do meu nome, retardarei a minha ira e por causa da minha honra me conterei para contigo, para que te não venha a exterminar.
10 Eis que te acrisolei, mas disso não resultou prata; provei-te na fornalha da aflição.
11 Por amor de mim, por amor de mim, é que faço isto; porque como seria profanado o meu nome? A minha glória, não a dou a outrem.
12 Dá-me ouvidos, ó Jacó, e tu, ó Israel, a quem chamei; eu sou o mesmo, sou o primeiro e também o último.

16 Chegai-vos a mim e ouvi isto: não falei em segredo desde o princípio; desde o tempo em que isso vem acontecendo, tenho estado lá. Agora, o SENHOR Deus me enviou a mim e o seu Espírito.
17 Assim diz o SENHOR, o teu Redentor, o Santo de Israel: Eu sou o SENHOR, o teu Deus, que te ensina o que é útil e te guia pelo caminho em que deves andar.
18 Ah! Se tivesses dado ouvidos aos meus mandamentos! Então, seria a tua paz como um rio, e a tua justiça, como as ondas do mar.
19 Também a tua posteridade seria como a areia, e os teus descendentes, como os grãos da areia; o seu nome nunca seria eliminado nem destruído de diante de mim.
20 Saí da Babilônia, fugi de entre os caldeus e anunciai isto com voz de júbilo; proclamai-o e levai-o até ao fim da terra; dizei: O SENHOR remiu a seu servo Jacó.
21 Não padeceram sede, quando ele os levava pelos desertos; fez-lhes correr água da rocha; fendeu a pedra, e as águas correram.
22 Para os perversos, todavia, não há paz, diz o SENHOR.
48 Hear ye this, O house of Jacob, which are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah, which swear by the name of the Lord, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness. 2 For they call themselves of the holy city, and stay themselves upon the God of Israel; The Lord of hosts is his name. 3 I have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth out of my mouth, and I shewed them; I did them suddenly, and they came to pass. 4 Because I knew that thou art obstinate, and thy neck is an iron sinew, and thy brow brass; 5 I have even from the beginning declared it to thee; before it came to pass I shewed it thee: lest thou shouldest say, Mine idol hath done them, and my graven image, and my molten image, hath commanded them. 6 Thou hast heard, see all this; and will not ye declare it? I have shewed thee new things from this time, even hidden things, and thou didst not know them. 7 They are created now, and not from the beginning; even before the day when thou heardest them not; lest thou shouldest say, Behold, I knew them. 8 Yea, thou heardest not; yea, thou knewest not; yea, from that time that thine ear was not opened: for I knew that thou wouldest deal very treacherously, and wast called a transgressor from the womb. 9 For my name's sake will I defer mine anger, and for my praise will I refrain for thee, that I cut thee not off. 10 Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction. 11 For mine own sake, even for mine own sake, will I do it: for how should my name be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another. 12 Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last. 13 Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together. 14 All ye, assemble yourselves, and hear; which among them hath declared these things? The Lord hath loved him: he will do his pleasure on Babylon, and his arm shall be on the Chaldeans. 15 I, even I, have spoken; yea, I have called him: I have brought him, and he shall make his way prosperous. 16 Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord God, and his Spirit, hath sent me. 17 Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go. 18 O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea: 19 Thy seed also had been as the sand, and the offspring of thy bowels like the gravel thereof; his name should not have been cut off nor destroyed from before me. 20 Go ye forth of Babylon, flee ye from the Chaldeans, with a voice of singing declare ye, tell this, utter it even to the end of the earth; say ye, The Lord hath redeemed his servant Jacob. 21 And they thirsted not when he led them through the deserts: he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them: he clave the rock also, and the waters gushed out. 22 There is no peace, saith the Lord, unto the wicked.

Instigante porque a morte doSenhor Jesus ocorreu da seguinte forma, como está escrito:"44 Já era quase a hora sexta, e, escurecendo-se o sol, houve trevas sobre toda a terra até à hora nona.45E rasgou-se pelo meio o véu do santuário. 46 Então, Jesus clamou em alta voz: Pai, nas tuas mãos entrego o meu espírito!E, dito isto, expirou. 47 Vendo o centurião o que tinha acontecido, deu glória a Deus, dizendo:Verdadeiramente, este homem era justo."[Lucas 23:44-47].
Eainda está escrito: "50 E Jesus, clamando outra vez com grande voz, entregou o espírito. 51 Eis que o véu do santuário se rasgou em duas partes de alto a baixo; tremeu a terra, fenderam-se as rochas; 52 abriram-se os sepulcros, e muitos corpos de santos, que dormiam, ressuscitaram; 53 e, saindo dos sepulcros depois da ressurreição de Jesus, entraram na cidade santa e apareceram a muitos. 54 O centurião e os que com ele guardavam a Jesus, vendo o terremoto e tudo o que se passava, ficaram possuídos de grande temor e disseram: Verdadeiramente este era Filho de Deus."[Mateus 27:50-54].

1 Quando saíres à peleja contra os teus inimigos e vires cavalos, e carros, e povo maior em número do que tu, não os temerás; pois o SENHOR, teu Deus, que te fez sair da terra do Egito, está contigo.
2 Quando vos achegardes à peleja, o sacerdote se adiantará, e falará ao povo,
3 e dir-lhe-á: Ouvi, ó Israel, hoje, vos achegais à peleja contra os vossos inimigos; que não desfaleça o vosso coração; não tenhais medo, não tremais, nem vos aterrorizeis diante deles,
4 pois o SENHOR, vosso Deus, é quem vai convosco a pelejar por vós contra os vossos inimigos, para vos salvar.
5 Os oficiais falarão ao povo, dizendo: Qual o homem que edificou casa nova e ainda não a consagrou? Vá, torne-se para casa, para que não morra na peleja, e outrem a consagre.
6 Qual o homem que plantou uma vinha e ainda não a desfrutou? Vá, torne-se para casa, para que não morra na peleja, e outrem a desfrute.
7 Qual o homem que está desposado com alguma mulher e ainda não a recebeu? Vá, torne-se para casa, para que não morra na peleja, e outro homem a receba.
8 E continuarão os oficiais a falar ao povo, dizendo: Qual o homem medroso e de coração tímido? Vá, torne-se para casa, para que o coração de seus irmãos se não derreta como o seu coração.
9 Quando os oficiais tiverem falado ao povo, designarão os capitães dos exércitos para a dianteira do povo.
10 Quando te aproximares de alguma cidade para pelejar contra ela, oferecer-lhe-ás a paz.
11 Se a sua resposta é de paz, e te abrir as portas, todo o povo que nela se achar será sujeito a trabalhos forçados e te servirá.
12 Porém, se ela não fizer paz contigo, mas te fizer guerra, então, a sitiarás.
13 E o SENHOR, teu Deus, a dará na tua mão; e todos os do sexo masculino que houver nela passarás a fio de espada;
14 mas as mulheres, e as crianças, e os animais, e tudo o que houver na cidade, todo o seu despojo, tomarás para ti; e desfrutarás o despojo dos inimigos que o SENHOR, teu Deus, te deu.
15 Assim farás a todas as cidades que estiverem mui longe de ti, que não forem das cidades destes povos.
16 Porém, das cidades destas nações que o SENHOR, teu Deus, te dá em herança, não deixarás com vida tudo o que tem fôlego.
17 Antes, como te ordenou o SENHOR, teu Deus, destruí-las-ás totalmente: os heteus, os amorreus, os cananeus, os ferezeus, os heveus e os jebuseus,
18 para que não vos ensinem a fazer segundo todas as suas abominações, que fizeram a seus deuses, pois pecaríeis contra o SENHOR, vosso Deus.
19 Quando sitiares uma cidade por muito tempo, pelejando contra ela para a tomar, não destruirás o seu arvoredo, metendo nele o machado, porque dele comerás; pelo que não o cortarás, pois será a árvore do campo algum homem, para que fosse sitiada por ti?
20 Mas as árvores cujos frutos souberes não se comem, destruí-las-ás, cortando-as; e, contra a cidade que guerrear contra ti, edificarás baluartes, até que seja derribada.
20 When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for the Lord thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. 2 And it shall be, when ye are come nigh unto the battle, that the priest shall approach and speak unto the people, 3 And shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye approach this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them; 4 For the Lord your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you. 5 And the officers shall speak unto the people, saying, What man is there that hath built a new house, and hath not dedicated it? let him go and return to his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man dedicate it. 6 And what man is he that hath planted a vineyard, and hath not yet eaten of it? let him also go and return unto his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man eat of it. 7 And what man is there that hath betrothed a wife, and hath not taken her? let him go and return unto his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man take her. 8 And the officers shall speak further unto the people, and they shall say, What man is there that is fearful and fainthearted? let him go and return unto his house, lest his brethren's heart faint as well as his heart. 9 And it shall be, when the officers have made an end of speaking unto the people that they shall make captains of the armies to lead the people. 10 When thou comest nigh unto a city to fight against it, then proclaim peace unto it. 11 And it shall be, if it make thee answer of peace, and open unto thee, then it shall be, that all the people that is found therein shall be tributaries unto thee, and they shall serve thee. 12 And if it will make no peace with thee, but will make war against thee, then thou shalt besiege it: 13 And when the Lord thy God hath delivered it into thine hands, thou shalt smite every male thereof with the edge of the sword: 14 But the women, and the little ones, and the cattle, and all that is in the city, even all the spoil thereof, shalt thou take unto thyself; and thou shalt eat the spoil of thine enemies, which the Lord thy God hath given thee. 15 Thus shalt thou do unto all the cities which are very far off from thee, which are not of the cities of these nations. 16 But of the cities of these people, which the Lord thy God doth give thee for an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth: 17 But thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee: 18 That they teach you not to do after all their abominations, which they have done unto their gods; so should ye sin against the Lord your God. 19 When thou shalt besiege a city a long time, in making war against it to take it, thou shalt not destroy the trees thereof by forcing an axe against them: for thou mayest eat of them, and thou shalt not cut them down (for the tree of the field is man's life) to employ them in the siege: 20 Only the trees which thou knowest that they be not trees for meat, thou shalt destroy and cut them down; and thou shalt build bulwarks against the city that maketh war with thee, until it be subdued.

Salmos 107
1 Rendei graças ao SENHOR, porque ele é bom, e a sua misericórdia dura para sempre.
2 Digam-no os remidos do SENHOR, os que ele resgatou da mão do inimigo
3 e congregou de entre as terras, do Oriente e do Ocidente, do Norte e do mar.
4 Andaram errantes pelo deserto, por ermos caminhos, sem achar cidade em que habitassem.
5 Famintos e sedentos, desfalecia neles a alma.
6 Então, na sua angústia, clamaram ao SENHOR, e ele os livrou das suas tribulações.
7 Conduziu-os pelo caminho direito, para que fossem à cidade em que habitassem.
8 Rendam graças ao SENHOR por sua bondade e por suas maravilhas para com os filhos dos homens!
9 Pois dessedentou a alma sequiosa e fartou de bens a alma faminta.
10 Os que se assentaram nas trevas e nas sombras da morte, presos em aflição e em ferros,
11 por se terem rebelado contra a palavra de Deus e haverem desprezado o conselho do Altíssimo,
12 de modo que lhes abateu com trabalhos o coração – caíram, e não houve quem os socorresse.
13 Então, na sua angústia, clamaram ao SENHOR, e ele os livrou das suas tribulações.
14 Tirou-os das trevas e das sombras da morte e lhes despedaçou as cadeias.
15 Rendam graças ao SENHOR por sua bondade e por suas maravilhas para com os filhos dos homens!
16 Pois arrombou as portas de bronze e quebrou as trancas de ferro.
17 Os estultos, por causa do seu caminho de transgressão e por causa das suas iniquidades, serão afligidos.
18 A sua alma aborreceu toda sorte de comida, e chegaram às portas da morte.
19 Então, na sua angústia, clamaram ao SENHOR, e ele os livrou das suas tribulações.
20 Enviou-lhes a sua palavra, e os sarou, e os livrou do que lhes era mortal.
21 Rendam graças ao SENHOR por sua bondade e por suas maravilhas para com os filhos dos homens!
22 Ofereçam sacrifícios de ações de graças e proclamem com júbilo as suas obras!
23 Os que, tomando navios, descem aos mares, os que fazem tráfico na imensidade das águas,
24 esses vêem as obras do SENHOR e as suas maravilhas nas profundezas do abismo.
25 Pois ele falou e fez levantar o vento tempestuoso, que elevou as ondas do mar.
26 Subiram até aos céus, desceram até aos abismos; no meio destas angústias, desfalecia-lhes a alma.
27 Andaram, e cambalearam como ébrios, e perderam todo tino.
28 Então, na sua angústia, clamaram ao SENHOR, e ele os livrou das suas tribulações.
29 Fez cessar a tormenta, e as ondas se acalmaram.
30 Então, se alegraram com a bonança; e, assim, os levou ao desejado porto.
31 Rendam graças ao SENHOR por sua bondade e por suas maravilhas para com os filhos dos homens!
32 Exaltem-no também na assembléia do povo e o glorifiquem no conselho dos anciãos.
33 Ele converteu rios em desertos e mananciais, em terra seca;
34 terra frutífera, em deserto salgado, por causa da maldade dos seus habitantes.
35 Converteu o deserto em lençóis de água e a terra seca, em mananciais.
36 Estabeleceu aí os famintos, os quais edificaram uma cidade em que habitassem.
37 Semearam campos, e plantaram vinhas, e tiveram fartas colheitas.
38 Ele os abençoou, de sorte que se multiplicaram muito; e o gado deles não diminuiu.
39 Mas tornaram a reduzir-se e foram humilhados pela opressão, pela adversidade e pelo sofrimento.
40 Lança ele o desprezo sobre os príncipes e os faz andar errantes, onde não há caminho.
41 Mas levanta da opressão o necessitado, para um alto retiro, e lhe prospera famílias como rebanhos.
42 Os retos vêem isso e se alegram, mas o ímpio por toda parte fecha a boca.
43 Quem é sábio atente para essas coisas e considere as misericórdias do SENHOR.
107 O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
2 Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy; 3 And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south. 4 They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in. 5 Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them. 6 Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses. 7 And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation. 8 Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! 9 For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness. 10 Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron; 11 Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High: 12 Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was none to help. 13 Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses. 14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder. 15 Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! 16 For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder. 17 Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted. 18 Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death. 19 Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses. 20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. 21 Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! 22 And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing. 23 They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters; 24 These see the works of the Lord, and his wonders in the deep. 25 For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof. 26 They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble. 27 They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wit's end. 28 Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses. 29 He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still. 30 Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven. 31 Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! 32 Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders. 33 He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground; 34 A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein. 35 He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into watersprings. 36 And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation; 37 And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase. 38 He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease. 39 Again, they are minished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow. 40 He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way. 41 Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh him families like a flock. 42 The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth. 43 Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the Lord.

Isaías 47
1 Desce e assenta-te no pó, ó virgem filha de Babilônia; assenta-te no chão, pois já não há trono, ó filha dos caldeus, porque nunca mais te chamarás a mimosa e delicada.
2 Toma a mó e mói a farinha; tira o teu véu, ergue a cauda da tua vestidura, desnuda as pernas e atravessa os rios.
3 As tuas vergonhas serão descobertas, e se verá o teu opróbrio; tomarei vingança e não pouparei a homem algum.
4 Quanto ao nosso Redentor, o SENHOR dos Exércitos é seu nome, o Santo de Israel.
5 Assenta-te calada e entra nas trevas, ó filha dos caldeus, porque nunca mais serás chamada senhora de reinos.
6 Muito me agastei contra o meu povo, profanei a minha herança e a entreguei na tua mão, porém não usaste com ela de misericórdia e até sobre os velhos fizeste mui pesado o teu jugo.
7 E disseste: Eu serei senhora para sempre! Até agora não tomaste a sério estas coisas, nem te lembraste do seu fim.
8 Ouve isto, pois, tu que és dada a prazeres, que habitas segura, que dizes contigo mesma: Eu só, e além de mim não há outra; não ficarei viúva, nem conhecerei a perda de filhos.
9 Mas ambas estas coisas virão sobre ti num momento, no mesmo dia, perda de filhos e viuvez; virão em cheio sobre ti, apesar da multidão das tuas feitiçarias e da abundância dos teus muitos encantamentos.
10 Porque confiaste na tua maldade e disseste: Não há quem me veja. A tua sabedoria e a tua ciência, isso te fez desviar, e disseste contigo mesma: Eu só, e além de mim não há outra.
11 Pelo que sobre ti virá o mal que por encantamentos não saberás conjurar; tal calamidade cairá sobre ti, da qual por expiação não te poderás livrar; porque sobre ti, de repente, virá tamanha desolação, como não imaginavas.
12 Deixa-te estar com os teus encantamentos e com a multidão das tuas feitiçarias em que te fatigaste desde a tua mocidade; talvez possas tirar proveito, talvez, com isso, inspirar terror.
13 Já estás cansada com a multidão das tuas consultas! Levantem-se, pois, agora, os que dissecam os céus e fitam os astros, os que em cada lua nova te predizem o que há de vir sobre ti.
14 Eis que serão como restolho, o fogo os queimará; não poderão livrar-se do poder das chamas; nenhuma brasa restará para se aquentarem, nem fogo, para que diante dele se assentem.
15 Assim serão para contigo aqueles com quem te fatigaste; aqueles com quem negociaste desde a tua mocidade; dispersar-se-ão, cambaleantes, cada qual pelo seu caminho; ninguém te salvará.
47 Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate. 2 Take the millstones, and grind meal: uncover thy locks, make bare the leg, uncover the thigh, pass over the rivers. 3 Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and I will not meet thee as a man. 4 As for our redeemer, the Lord of hosts is his name, the Holy One of Israel. 5 Sit thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called, The lady of kingdoms. 6 I was wroth with my people, I have polluted mine inheritance, and given them into thine hand: thou didst shew them no mercy; upon the ancient hast thou very heavily laid thy yoke. 7 And thou saidst, I shall be a lady for ever: so that thou didst not lay these things to thy heart, neither didst remember the latter end of it. 8 Therefore hear now this, thou that art given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children: 9 But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great abundance of thine enchantments. 10 For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me. 11 Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it off: and desolation shall come upon thee suddenly, which thou shalt not know. 12 Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast laboured from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest prevail. 13 Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee. 14 Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it. 15 Thus shall they be unto thee with whom thou hast laboured, even thy merchants, from thy youth: they shall wander every one to his quarter; none shall save thee.

As injustiças incitam a injustiças ainda maiores, não havendo temor ao Senhor Deus, em tempo algum.De forma que, o que a maioria das pessoas buscam é estar confortáveis em seus próprios mundos, independente do que esteja havendo ao seu redor.Independente do que possam fazer para vencer o mal, com o bem.O bem que, aos seus olhos, é apenas, uma concepção de mundo.
Não o saberia o SENHOR o que ocorre debaixo dos céus e dentro destes corações?
