Josué 1
1 Sucedeu, depois da morte de Moisés, servo do SENHOR, que este falou a Josué, filho de Num, servidor de Moisés, dizendo:
2 Moisés, meu servo, é morto; dispõe-te, agora, passa este Jordão, tu e todo este povo, à terra que eu dou aos filhos de Israel.
3 Todo lugar que pisar a planta do vosso pé, vô-lo tenho dado, como eu prometi a Moisés.
4 Desde o deserto e o Líbano até ao grande rio, o rio Eufrates, toda a terra dos heteus e até ao mar Grande para o poente do sol será o vosso limite.
5 Ninguém te poderá resistir todos os dias da tua vida; como fui com Moisés, assim serei contigo; não te deixarei, nem te desampararei.
6 Sê forte e corajoso, porque tu farás este povo herdar a terra que, sob juramento, prometi dar a seus pais.
7 Tão-somente sê forte e mui corajoso para teres o cuidado de fazer segundo toda a lei que meu servo Moisés te ordenou; dela não te desvies, nem para a direita nem para a esquerda, para que sejas bem-sucedido por onde quer que andares.
8 Não cesses de falar deste Livro da Lei; antes, medita nele dia e noite, para que tenhas cuidado de fazer segundo tudo quanto nele está escrito; então, farás prosperar o teu caminho e serás bem-sucedido.
9 Não to mandei eu? Sê forte e corajoso; não temas, nem te espantes, porque o SENHOR, teu Deus, é contigo por onde quer que andares.
10 Então, deu ordem Josué aos príncipes do povo, dizendo:
11 Passai pelo meio do arraial e ordenai ao povo, dizendo: Provede-vos de comida, porque, dentro de três dias, passareis este Jordão, para que entreis na terra que vos dá o SENHOR, vosso Deus, para a possuirdes.
12 Falou Josué aos rubenitas, e aos gaditas, e à meia tribo de Manassés, dizendo:
13 Lembrai-vos do que vos ordenou Moisés, servo do SENHOR, dizendo: O SENHOR, vosso Deus, vos concede descanso e vos dá esta terra.
14 Vossas mulheres, vossos meninos e vosso gado fiquem na terra que Moisés vos deu deste lado do Jordão; porém vós, todos os valentes, passareis armados na frente de vossos irmãos e os ajudareis,
15 até que o SENHOR conceda descanso a vossos irmãos, como a vós outros, e eles também tomem posse da terra que o SENHOR, vosso Deus, lhes dá; então, tornareis à terra da vossa herança e possuireis a que vos deu Moisés, servo do SENHOR, deste lado do Jordão, para o nascente do sol.
16 Então, responderam a Josué, dizendo: Tudo quanto nos ordenaste faremos e aonde quer que nos enviares iremos.
17 Como em tudo obedecemos a Moisés, assim obedeceremos a ti; tão-somente seja o SENHOR, teu Deus, contigo, como foi com Moisés.
18 Todo homem que se rebelar contra as tuas ordens e não obedecer às tuas palavras em tudo quanto lhe ordenares será morto; tão-somente sê forte e corajoso.
1 Now after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord it came to pass, that the Lord spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying, 2 Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel. 3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses. 4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast. 5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. 6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. 7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest. 8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. 9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. 10 Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying, 11 Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals; for within three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the Lord your God giveth you to possess it. 12 And to the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to half the tribe of Manasseh, spake Joshua, saying, 13 Remember the word which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, saying, The Lord your God hath given you rest, and hath given you this land. 14 Your wives, your little ones, and your cattle, shall remain in the land which Moses gave you on this side Jordan; but ye shall pass before your brethren armed, all the mighty men of valour, and help them; 15 Until the Lord have given your brethren rest, as he hath given you, and they also have possessed the land which the Lord your God giveth them: then ye shall return unto the land of your possession, and enjoy it, which Moses the Lord's servant gave you on this side Jordan toward the sunrising. 16 And they answered Joshua, saying, All that thou commandest us we will do, and whithersoever thou sendest us, we will go. 17 According as we hearkened unto Moses in all things, so will we hearken unto thee: only the Lord thy God be with thee, as he was with Moses. 18 Whosoever he be that doth rebel against thy commandment, and will not hearken unto thy words in all that thou commandest him, he shall be put to death: only be strong and of a good courage.

1 Na minha angústia, clamo ao SENHOR, e ele me ouve.
2 SENHOR, livra-me dos lábios mentirosos, da língua enganadora.
3 Que te será dado ou que te será acrescentado, ó língua enganadora?
4 Setas agudas do valente e brasas vivas de zimbro.
5 Ai de mim, que peregrino em Meseque e habito nas tendas de Quedar.
6 Já há tempo demais que habito com os que odeiam a paz.
7 Sou pela paz; quando, porém, eu falo, eles teimam pela guerra.

1 Elevo os olhos para os montes: de onde me virá o socorro?
2 O meu socorro vem do SENHOR, que fez o céu e a terra.
3 Ele não permitirá que os teus pés vacilem; não dormitará aquele que te guarda.
4 É certo que não dormita, nem dorme o guarda de Israel.
5 O SENHOR é quem te guarda; o SENHOR é a tua sombra à tua direita.
6 De dia não te molestará o sol, nem de noite, a lua.
7 O SENHOR te guardará de todo mal; guardará a tua alma.
8 O SENHOR guardará a tua saída e a tua entrada, desde agora e para sempre.
121 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

1 Alegrei-me quando me disseram: Vamos à Casa do SENHOR.
2 Pararam os nossos pés junto às tuas portas, ó Jerusalém!
3 Jerusalém, que estás construída como cidade compacta,
4 para onde sobem as tribos, as tribos do SENHOR, como convém a Israel, para renderem graças ao nome do SENHOR.
5 Lá estão os tronos de justiça, os tronos da casa de Davi.
6 Orai pela paz de Jerusalém! Sejam prósperos os que te amam.
7 Reine paz dentro de teus muros e prosperidade nos teus palácios.
8 Por amor dos meus irmãos e amigos, eu peço: haja paz em ti!
9 Por amor da Casa do SENHOR, nosso Deus, buscarei o teu bem.
122 I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.

Isaías 61
1 O Espírito do SENHOR Deus está sobre mim, porque o SENHOR me ungiu para pregar boas-novas aos quebrantados, enviou-me a curar os quebrantados de coração, a proclamar libertação aos cativos e a pôr em liberdade os algemados;
2 a apregoar o ano aceitável do SENHOR e o dia da vingança do nosso Deus; a consolar todos os que choram
3 e a pôr sobre os que em Sião estão de luto uma coroa em vez de cinzas, óleo de alegria, em vez de pranto, veste de louvor, em vez de espírito angustiado; a fim de que se chamem carvalhos de justiça, plantados pelo SENHOR para a sua glória.
4 Edificarão os lugares antigamente assolados, restaurarão os de antes destruídos e renovarão as cidades arruinadas, destruídas de geração em geração.
5 Estranhos se apresentarão e apascentarão os vossos rebanhos; estrangeiros serão os vossos lavradores e os vossos vinhateiros.
6 Mas vós sereis chamados sacerdotes do SENHOR, e vos chamarão ministros de nosso Deus; comereis as riquezas das nações e na sua glória vos gloriareis.
7 Em lugar da vossa vergonha, tereis dupla honra; em lugar da afronta, exultareis na vossa herança; por isso, na vossa terra possuireis o dobro e tereis perpétua alegria.
8 Porque eu, o SENHOR, amo o juízo e odeio a iniquidade do roubo; dar-lhes-ei fielmente a sua recompensa e com eles farei aliança eterna.
9 A sua posteridade será conhecida entre as nações, os seus descendentes, no meio dos povos; todos quantos os virem os reconhecerão como família bendita do SENHOR.
10 Regozijar-me-ei muito no SENHOR, a minha alma se alegra no meu Deus; porque me cobriu de vestes de salvação e me envolveu com o manto de justiça, como noivo que se adorna de turbante, como noiva que se enfeita com as suas jóias.
11 Porque, como a terra produz os seus renovos, e como o jardim faz brotar o que nele se semeia, assim o SENHOR Deus fará brotar a justiça e o louvor perante todas as nações.

Impossível não perceber que enquanto não houver sincero e humilde reconhecimento do SENHOR, será impossível ser, verdadeiramente, feliz.
Sem reconhecer essa dependência, todo o viver é um cotidiano em devaneios, palavras fúteis e desilusões, que seguem para um lugar, não distante, de insuportável dor.
Por que pensamos saber,
o que desconhecemos?

Deuteronômio 33
1 Esta é a bênção que Moisés, homem de Deus, deu aos filhos de Israel, antes da sua morte.
2 Disse, pois: O SENHOR veio do Sinai e lhes alvoreceu de Seir, resplandeceu desde o monte Parã; e veio das miríades de santos; à sua direita, havia para eles o fogo da lei.
3 Na verdade, amas os povos; todos os teus santos estão na tua mão; eles se colocam a teus pés e aprendem das tuas palavras.
4 Moisés nos prescreveu a lei por herança da congregação de Jacó.
5 E o SENHOR se tornou rei ao seu povo amado, quando se congregaram os cabeças do povo com as tribos de Israel.
6 Viva Rúben e não morra; e não sejam poucos os seus homens!
7 Isto é o que disse de Judá: Ouve, ó SENHOR, a voz de Judá e introduze-o no seu povo; com as tuas mãos, peleja por ele e sê tu ajuda contra os seus inimigos.
8 De Levi disse: Dá, ó Deus, o teu Tumim e o teu Urim para o homem, teu fidedigno, que tu provaste em Massá, com quem contendeste nas águas de Meribá;
9 aquele que disse a seu pai e a sua mãe: Nunca os vi; e não conheceu a seus irmãos e não estimou a seus filhos, pois guardou a tua palavra e observou a tua aliança.
10 Ensinou os teus juízos a Jacó e a tua lei, a Israel; ofereceu incenso às tuas narinas e holocausto, sobre o teu altar.
11 Abençoa o seu poder, ó SENHOR, e aceita a obra das suas mãos, fere os lombos dos que se levantam contra ele e o aborrecem, para que nunca mais se levantem.
12 De Benjamim disse: O amado do SENHOR habitará seguro com ele; todo o dia o SENHOR o protegerá, e ele descansará nos seus braços.
13 De José disse: Bendita do SENHOR seja a sua terra, com o que é mais excelente dos céus, do orvalho e das profundezas,
14 com o que é mais excelente daquilo que o sol amadurece e daquilo que os meses produzem,
15 com o que é mais excelente dos montes antigos e mais excelente dos outeiros eternos,
16 com o que é mais excelente da terra e da sua plenitude e da benevolência daquele que apareceu na sarça; que tudo isto venha sobre a cabeça de José, sobre a cabeça do príncipe entre seus irmãos.
17 Ele tem a imponência do primogênito do seu touro, e as suas pontas são como as de um boi selvagem; com elas rechaçará todos os povos até às extremidades da terra. Tais, pois, as miríades de Efraim, e tais, os milhares de Manassés.
18 De Zebulom disse: Alegra-te, Zebulom, nas tuas saídas marítimas, e tu, Issacar, nas tuas tendas.
19 Os dois chamarão os povos ao monte; ali apresentarão ofertas legítimas, porque chuparão a abundância dos mares e os tesouros escondidos da areia.
20 De Gade disse: Bendito aquele que faz dilatar Gade, o qual habita como a leoa e despedaça o braço e o alto da cabeça.
21 E se proveu da melhor parte, porquanto ali estava escondida a porção do chefe; ele marchou adiante do povo, executou a justiça do SENHOR e os seus juízos para com Israel.
22 De Dã disse: Dã é leãozinho; saltará de Basã.
23 De Naftali disse: Naftali goza de favores e, cheio da bênção do SENHOR, possuirá o lago e o Sul.
24 De Aser disse: Bendito seja Aser entre os filhos de Jacó, agrade a seus irmãos e banhe em azeite o pé.
25 Sejam de ferro e de bronze os teus ferrolhos, e, como os teus dias, durará a tua paz.
26 Não há outro, ó amado, semelhante a Deus, que cavalga sobre os céus para a tua ajuda e com a sua alteza sobre as nuvens.
27 O Deus eterno é a tua habitação e, por baixo de ti, estende os braços eternos; ele expulsou o inimigo de diante de ti e disse: Destrói-o.
28 Israel, pois, habitará seguro, a fonte de Jacó habitará a sós numa terra de cereal e de vinho; e os seus céus destilarão orvalho.
29 Feliz és tu, ó Israel! Quem é como tu? Povo salvo pelo SENHOR, escudo que te socorre, espada que te dá alteza. Assim, os teus inimigos te serão sujeitos, e tu pisarás os seus altos.
33 And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death. 2 And he said, The Lord came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them. 3 Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words. 4 Moses commanded us a law, even the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob. 5 And he was king in Jeshurun, when the heads of the people and the tribes of Israel were gathered together. 6 Let Reuben live, and not die; and let not his men be few. 7 And this is the blessing of Judah: and he said, Hear, Lord, the voice of Judah, and bring him unto his people: let his hands be sufficient for him; and be thou an help to him from his enemies. 8 And of Levi he said, Let thy Thummim and thy Urim be with thy holy one, whom thou didst prove at Massah, and with whom thou didst strive at the waters of Meribah; 9 Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed thy word, and kept thy covenant. 10 They shall teach Jacob thy judgments, and Israel thy law: they shall put incense before thee, and whole burnt sacrifice upon thine altar. 11 Bless, Lord, his substance, and accept the work of his hands; smite through the loins of them that rise against him, and of them that hate him, that they rise not again. 12 And of Benjamin he said, The beloved of the Lord shall dwell in safety by him; and the Lord shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders. 13 And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the Lord be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath, 14 And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon, 15 And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the lasting hills, 16 And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren. 17 His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh. 18 And of Zebulun he said, Rejoice, Zebulun, in thy going out; and, Issachar, in thy tents. 19 They shall call the people unto the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness: for they shall suck of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid in the sand. 20 And of Gad he said, Blessed be he that enlargeth Gad: he dwelleth as a lion, and teareth the arm with the crown of the head. 21 And he provided the first part for himself, because there, in a portion of the lawgiver, was he seated; and he came with the heads of the people, he executed the justice of the Lord, and his judgments with Israel. 22 And of Dan he said, Dan is a lion's whelp: he shall leap from Bashan. 23 And of Naphtali he said, O Naphtali, satisfied with favour, and full with the blessing of the Lord: possess thou the west and the south. 24 And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil. 25 Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be. 26 There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky. 27 The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them. 28 Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew. 29 Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the Lord, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.

Deuteronômio 34
1 Então, subiu Moisés das campinas de Moabe ao monte Nebo, ao cimo de Pisga, que está defronte de Jericó; e o SENHOR lhe mostrou toda a terra de Gileade até Dã;
2 e todo o Naftali, e a terra de Efraim, e Manassés; e toda a terra de Judá até ao mar ocidental;
3 e o Neguebe e a campina do vale de Jericó, a cidade das Palmeiras, até Zoar.
4 Disse-lhe o SENHOR: Esta é a terra que, sob juramento, prometi a Abraão, a Isaque e a Jacó, dizendo: à tua descendência a darei; eu te faço vê-la com os próprios olhos; porém não irás para lá.
5 Assim, morreu ali Moisés, servo do SENHOR, na terra de Moabe, segundo a palavra do SENHOR.
6 Este o sepultou num vale, na terra de Moabe, defronte de Bete-Peor; e ninguém sabe, até hoje, o lugar da sua sepultura.
7 Tinha Moisés a idade de cento e vinte anos quando morreu; não se lhe escureceram os olhos, nem se lhe abateu o vigor.
8 Os filhos de Israel prantearam Moisés por trinta dias, nas campinas de Moabe; então, se cumpriram os dias do pranto no luto por Moisés.
9 Josué, filho de Num, estava cheio do espírito de sabedoria, porquanto Moisés impôs sobre ele as mãos; assim, os filhos de Israel lhe deram ouvidos e fizeram como o SENHOR ordenara a Moisés.
10 Nunca mais se levantou em Israel profeta algum como Moisés, com quem o SENHOR houvesse tratado face a face,
11 no tocante a todos os sinais e maravilhas que, por mando do SENHOR, fez na terra do Egito, a Faraó, a todos os seus oficiais e a toda a sua terra;
12 e no tocante a todas as obras de sua poderosa mão e aos grandes e terríveis feitos que operou Moisés à vista de todo o Israel.
34 And Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto the mountain of Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. And the Lord shewed him all the land of Gilead, unto Dan,
2 And all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, unto the utmost sea, 3 And the south, and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, unto Zoar. 4 And the Lord said unto him, This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither. 5 So Moses the servant of the Lord died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the Lord. 6 And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Bethpeor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day. 7 And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated. 8 And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended. 9 And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the Lord commanded Moses. 10 And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face, 11 In all the signs and the wonders, which the Lord sent him to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land, 12 And in all that mighty hand, and in all the great terror which Moses shewed in the sight of all Israel.

145 De todo o coração eu te invoco; ouve-me, SENHOR; observo os teus decretos.
146 Clamo a ti; salva-me, e guardarei os teus testemunhos.
147 Antecipo-me ao alvorecer do dia e clamo; na tua palavra, espero confiante.
148 Os meus olhos antecipam-se às vigílias noturnas, para que eu medite nas tuas palavras.
149 Ouve, SENHOR, a minha voz, segundo a tua bondade; vivifica-me, segundo os teus juízos.
150 Aproximam-se de mim os que andam após a maldade; eles se afastam da tua lei.
151 Tu estás perto, SENHOR, e todos os teus mandamentos são verdade.
152 Quanto às tuas prescrições, há muito sei que as estabeleceste para sempre.
153 Atenta para a minha aflição e livra-me, pois não me esqueço da tua lei.
154 Defende a minha causa e liberta-me; vivifica-me, segundo a tua promessa.
155 A salvação está longe dos ímpios, pois não procuram os teus decretos.
156 Muitas, SENHOR, são as tuas misericórdias; vivifica-me, segundo os teus juízos.

158 Vi os infiéis e senti desgosto, porque não guardam a tua palavra.

160 As tuas palavras são em tudo verdade desde o princípio, e cada um dos teus justos juízos dura para sempre.
161 Príncipes me perseguem sem causa, porém o que o meu coração teme é a tua palavra.

163 Abomino e detesto a mentira; porém amo a tua lei.

Isaías 60
1 Dispõe-te, resplandece, porque vem a tua luz, e a glória do SENHOR nasce sobre ti.
2 Porque eis que as trevas cobrem a terra, e a escuridão, os povos; mas sobre ti aparece resplendente o SENHOR, e a sua glória se vê sobre ti.
3 As nações se encaminham para a tua luz, e os reis, para o resplendor que te nasceu.
4 Levanta em redor os olhos e vê; todos estes se ajuntam e vêm ter contigo; teus filhos chegam de longe, e tuas filhas são trazidas nos braços.
5 Então, o verás e serás radiante de alegria; o teu coração estremecerá e se dilatará de júbilo, porque a abundância do mar se tornará a ti, e as riquezas das nações virão a ter contigo.
6 A multidão de camelos te cobrirá, os dromedários de Midiã e de Efa; todos virão de Sabá; trarão ouro e incenso e publicarão os louvores do SENHOR.
7 Todas as ovelhas de Quedar se reunirão junto de ti; servir-te-ão os carneiros de Nebaiote; para o meu agrado subirão ao meu altar, e eu tornarei mais gloriosa a casa da minha glória.
8 Quem são estes que vêm voando como nuvens e como pombas, ao seu pombal?
9 Certamente, as terras do mar me aguardarão; virão primeiro os navios de Társis para trazerem teus filhos de longe e, com eles, a sua prata e o seu ouro, para a santificação do nome do SENHOR, teu Deus, e do Santo de Israel, porque ele te glorificou.
10 Estrangeiros edificarão os teus muros, e os seus reis te servirão; porque no meu furor te castiguei, mas na minha graça tive misericórdia de ti.
11 As tuas portas estarão abertas de contínuo; nem de dia nem de noite se fecharão, para que te sejam trazidas riquezas das nações, e, conduzidos com elas, os seus reis.
12 Porque a nação e o reino que não te servirem perecerão; sim, essas nações serão de todo assoladas.
13 A glória do Líbano virá a ti; o cipreste, o olmeiro e o buxo, conjuntamente, para adornarem o lugar do meu santuário; e farei glorioso o lugar dos meus pés.
14 Também virão a ti, inclinando-se, os filhos dos que te oprimiram; prostrar-se-ão até às plantas dos teus pés todos os que te desdenharam e chamar-te-ão Cidade do SENHOR, a Sião do Santo de Israel.
15 De abandonada e odiada que eras, de modo que ninguém passava por ti, eu te constituirei glória eterna, regozijo, de geração em geração.
16 Mamarás o leite das nações e te alimentarás ao peito dos reis; saberás que eu sou o SENHOR, o teu Salvador, o teu Redentor, o Poderoso de Jacó.
17 Por bronze trarei ouro, por ferro trarei prata, por madeira, bronze e por pedras, ferro; farei da paz os teus inspetores e da justiça, os teus exatores.
18 Nunca mais se ouvirá de violência na tua terra, de desolação ou ruínas, nos teus limites; mas aos teus muros chamarás Salvação, e às tuas portas, Louvor.
19 Nunca mais te servirá o sol para luz do dia, nem com o seu resplendor a lua te alumiará; mas o SENHOR será a tua luz perpétua, e o teu Deus, a tua glória.
20 Nunca mais se porá o teu sol, nem a tua lua minguará, porque o SENHOR será a tua luz perpétua, e os dias do teu luto findarão.
21 Todos os do teu povo serão justos, para sempre herdarão a terra; serão renovos por mim plantados, obra das minhas mãos, para que eu seja glorificado.
22 O menor virá a ser mil, e o mínimo, uma nação forte; eu, o SENHOR, a seu tempo farei isso prontamente.
60 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. 2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. 3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. 4 Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side. 5 Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee. 6 The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the Lord. 7 All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory. 8 Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows? 9 Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the Lord thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee. 10 And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee. 11 Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought. 12 For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted. 13 The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious. 14 The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee; The city of the Lord, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel. 15 Whereas thou has been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations. 16 Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the Lord am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob. 17 For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: I will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors righteousness. 18 Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise. 19 The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory. 20 Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the Lord shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended. 21 Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified. 22 A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the Lord will hasten it in his time.
