LEITURA Bíblia Sagrada Versão - João Ferreira de Almeida 2ª edição - PT-BR King James Version      Rute 1  Atos 26  Jeremias 36 LEITURA  8º DIA  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Rute 1 1 Nos dias em que julgavam os juízes, houve fome na terra; e um homem de Belém de Judá saiu a habitar na terra de Moabe, com sua mulher e seus dois filhos. 2 Este homem se chamava Elimeleque, e sua mulher, Noemi; os filhos se chamavam Malom e Quiliom, efrateus, de Belém de Judá; vieram à terra de Moabe e ficaram ali. 3 Morreu Elimeleque, marido de Noemi; e ficou ela com seus dois filhos, 4 os quais casaram com mulheres moabitas; era o nome de uma Orfa, e o nome da outra, Rute; e ficaram ali quase dez anos. 5 Morreram também ambos, Malom e Quiliom, ficando, assim, a mulher desamparada de seus dois filhos e de seu marido. 6 Então, se dispôs ela com as suas noras e voltou da terra de Moabe, porquanto, nesta, ouviu que o SENHOR se lembrara do seu povo, dando-lhe pão. 7 Saiu, pois, ela com suas duas noras do lugar onde estivera; e, indo elas caminhando, de volta para a terra de Judá, 8 disse-lhes Noemi: Ide, voltai cada uma à casa de sua mãe; e o SENHOR use convosco de benevolência, como vós usastes com os que morreram e comigo. 9 O SENHOR vos dê que sejais felizes, cada uma em casa de seu marido. E beijou-as. Elas, porém, choraram em alta voz 10 e lhe disseram: Não! Iremos contigo ao teu povo. 11 Porém Noemi disse: Voltai, minhas filhas! Por que iríeis comigo? Tenho eu ainda no ventre filhos, para que vos sejam por maridos? 12 Tornai, filhas minhas! Ide-vos embora, porque sou velha demais para ter marido. Ainda quando eu dissesse: tenho esperança ou ainda que esta noite tivesse marido e houvesse filhos, 13 esperá-los-íeis até que viessem a ser grandes? Abster-vos-íeis de tomardes marido? Não, filhas minhas! Porque, por vossa causa, a mim me amarga o ter o SENHOR descarregado contra mim a sua mão. 14 Então, de novo, choraram em voz alta; Orfa, com um beijo, se despediu de sua sogra, porém Rute se apegou a ela. 15 Disse Noemi: Eis que tua cunhada voltou ao seu povo e aos seus deuses; também tu, volta após a tua cunhada. 16 Disse, porém, Rute: Não me instes para que te deixe e me obrigue a não seguir-te; porque, aonde quer que fores, irei eu e, onde quer que pousares, ali pousarei eu; o teu povo é o meu povo, o teu Deus é o meu Deus. 17 Onde quer que morreres, morrerei eu e aí serei sepultada; faça-me o SENHOR o que bem lhe aprouver, se outra coisa que não seja a morte me separar de ti. 18 Vendo, pois, Noemi que de todo estava resolvida a acompanhá-la, deixou de insistir com ela. 19 Então, ambas se foram, até que chegaram a Belém; sucedeu que, ao chegarem ali, toda a cidade se comoveu por causa delas, e as mulheres diziam: Não é esta Noemi? 20 Porém ela lhes dizia: Não me chameis Noemi; chamai-me Mara, porque grande amargura me tem dado o Todo-Poderoso. 21 Ditosa eu parti, porém o SENHOR me fez voltar pobre; por que, pois, me chamareis Noemi, visto que o SENHOR se manifestou contra mim e o Todo-Poderoso me tem afligido? 22 Assim, voltou Noemi da terra de Moabe, com Rute, sua nora, a moabita; e chegaram a Belém no princípio da sega da cevada. https://www.biblegateway.com/ audio/dramatized/kjv/Ruth.1 ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  1 Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Bethlehemjudah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons. 2 And the name of the man was Elimelech, and the name of his wife Naomi, and the name of his two sons Mahlon and Chilion, Ephrathites of Bethlehemjudah. And they came into the country of Moab, and continued there. 3 And Elimelech Naomi's husband died; and she was left, and her two sons. 4 And they took them wives of the women of Moab; the name of the one was Orpah, and the name of the other Ruth: and they dwelled there about ten years. 5 And Mahlon and Chilion died also both of them; and the woman was left of her two sons and her husband. 6 Then she arose with her daughters in law, that she might return from the country of Moab: for she had heard in the country of Moab how that the Lord had visited his people in giving them bread. 7 Wherefore she went forth out of the place where she was, and her two daughters in law with her; and they went on the way to return unto the land of Judah. 8 And Naomi said unto her two daughters in law, Go, return each to her mother's house: the Lord deal kindly with you, as ye have dealt with the dead, and with me. 9 The Lord grant you that ye may find rest, each of you in the house of her husband. Then she kissed them; and they lifted up their voice, and wept. 10 And they said unto her, Surely we will return with thee unto thy people. 11 And Naomi said, Turn again, my daughters: why will ye go with me? are there yet any more sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands? 12 Turn again, my daughters, go your way; for I am too old to have an husband. If I should say, I have hope, if I should have an husband also to night, and should also bear sons; 13 Would ye tarry for them till they were grown? would ye stay for them from having husbands? nay, my daughters; for it grieveth me much for your sakes that the hand of the Lord is gone out against me. 14 And they lifted up their voice, and wept again: and Orpah kissed her mother in law; but Ruth clave unto her. 15 And she said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back unto her people, and unto her gods: return thou after thy sister in law. 16 And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God: 17 Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the Lord do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me. 18 When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her. 19 So they two went until they came to Bethlehem. And it came to pass, when they were come to Bethlehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, Is this Naomi? 20 And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me. 21 I went out full and the Lord hath brought me home again empty: why then call ye me Naomi, seeing the Lord hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath afflicted me? 22 So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter in law, with her, which returned out of the country of Moab: and they came to Bethlehem in the beginning of barley harvest. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Atos 26 1 A seguir, Agripa, dirigindo-se a Paulo, disse: É permitido que uses da palavra em tua defesa. Então, Paulo, estendendo a mão, passou a defender-se nestes termos: 2 Tenho-me por feliz, ó rei Agripa, pelo privilégio de, hoje, na tua presença, poder produzir a minha defesa de todas as acusações feitas contra mim pelos judeus; 3 mormente porque és versado em todos os costumes e questões que há entre os judeus; por isso, eu te peço que me ouças com paciência. 4 Quanto à minha vida, desde a mocidade, como decorreu desde o princípio entre o meu povo e em Jerusalém, todos os judeus a conhecem; 5 pois, na verdade, eu era conhecido deles desde o princípio, se assim o quiserem testemunhar, porque vivi fariseu conforme a seita mais severa da nossa religião. 6 E, agora, estou sendo julgado por causa da esperança da promessa que por Deus foi feita a nossos pais, 7 a qual as nossas doze tribos, servindo a Deus fervorosamente de noite e de dia, almejam alcançar; é no tocante a esta esperança, ó rei, que eu sou acusado pelos judeus. 8 Por que se julga incrível entre vós que Deus ressuscite os mortos? 9 Na verdade, a mim me parecia que muitas coisas devia eu praticar contra o nome de Jesus, o Nazareno; 10 e assim procedi em Jerusalém. Havendo eu recebido autorização dos principais sacerdotes, encerrei muitos dos santos nas prisões; e contra estes dava o meu voto, quando os matavam. 11 Muitas vezes, os castiguei por todas as sinagogas, obrigando-os até a blasfemar. E, demasiadamente enfurecido contra eles, mesmo por cidades estranhas os perseguia. 12 Com estes intuitos, parti para Damasco, levando autorização dos principais sacerdotes e por eles comissionado. 13 Ao meio-dia, ó rei, indo eu caminho fora, vi uma luz no céu, mais resplandecente que o sol, que brilhou ao redor de mim e dos que iam comigo. 14 E, caindo todos nós por terra, ouvi uma voz que me falava em língua hebraica: Saulo, Saulo, por que me persegues? Dura coisa é recalcitrares contra os aguilhões. 15 Então, eu perguntei: Quem és tu, Senhor? Ao que o Senhor respondeu: Eu sou Jesus, a quem tu persegues. 16 Mas levanta-te e firma-te sobre teus pés, porque por isto te apareci, para te constituir ministro e testemunha, tanto das coisas em que me viste como daquelas pelas quais te aparecerei ainda, 17 livrando-te do povo e dos gentios, para os quais eu te envio, 18 para lhes abrires os olhos e os converteres das trevas para a luz e da potestade de Satanás para Deus, a fim de que recebam eles remissão de pecados e herança entre os que são santificados pela fé em mim. 19 Pelo que, ó rei Agripa, não fui desobediente à visão celestial, 20 mas anunciei primeiramente aos de Damasco e em Jerusalém, por toda a região da Judéia, e aos gentios, que se arrependessem e se convertessem a Deus, praticando obras dignas de arrependimento. 21 Por causa disto, alguns judeus me prenderam, estando eu no templo, e tentaram matar-me. 22 Mas, alcançando socorro de Deus, permaneço até ao dia de hoje, dando testemunho, tanto a pequenos como a grandes, nada dizendo, senão o que os profetas e Moisés disseram haver de acontecer, 23 isto é, que o Cristo devia padecer e, sendo o primeiro da ressurreição dos mortos, anunciaria a luz ao povo e aos gentios. 24 Dizendo ele estas coisas em sua defesa, Festo o interrompeu em alta voz: Estás louco, Paulo! As muitas letras te fazem delirar! 25 Paulo, porém, respondeu: Não estou louco, ó excelentíssimo Festo! Pelo contrário, digo palavras de verdade e de bom senso. 26 Porque tudo isto é do conhecimento do rei, a quem me dirijo com franqueza, pois estou persuadido de que nenhuma destas coisas lhe é oculta; porquanto nada se passou em algum lugar escondido. 27 Acreditas, ó rei Agripa, nos profetas? Bem sei que acreditas. 28 Então, Agripa se dirigiu a Paulo e disse: Por pouco me persuades a me fazer cristão. 29 Paulo respondeu: Assim Deus permitisse que, por pouco ou por muito, não apenas tu, ó rei, porém todos os que hoje me ouvem se tornassem tais qual eu sou, exceto estas cadeias. 30 A essa altura, levantou-se o rei, e também o governador, e Berenice, bem como os que estavam assentados com eles; 31 e, havendo-se retirado, falavam uns com os outros, dizendo: Este homem nada tem feito passível de morte ou de prisão. 32 Então, Agripa se dirigiu a Festo e disse: Este homem bem podia ser solto, se não tivesse apelado para César. https://www.biblegateway.com/ audio/dramatized/kjv/Acts.26 ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  26 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Thou art permitted to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself: 2 I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews: 3 Especially because I know thee to be expert in all customs and questions which are among the Jews: wherefore I beseech thee to hear me patiently. 4 My manner of life from my youth, which was at the first among mine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews; 5 Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee. 6 And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God, unto our fathers: 7 Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope's sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews. 8 Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead? 9 I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth. 10 Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them. 11 And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities. 12 Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests, 13 At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me. 14 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. 15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. 16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; 17 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, 18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. 19 Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision: 20 But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance. 21 For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me. 22 Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: 23 That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles. 24 And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad. 25 But he said, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but speak forth the words of truth and soberness. 26 For the king knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner. 27 King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest. 28 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian. 29 And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds. 30 And when he had thus spoken, the king rose up, and the governor, and Bernice, and they that sat with them: 31 And when they were gone aside, they talked between themselves, saying, This man doeth nothing worthy of death or of bonds. 32 Then said Agrippa unto Festus, This man might have been set at liberty, if he had not appealed unto Caesar.  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Jeremias 36 1 No quarto ano de Jeoaquim, filho de Josias, rei de Judá, veio esta palavra do SENHOR a Jeremias, dizendo: 2 Toma um rolo, um livro, e escreve nele todas as palavras que te falei contra Israel, contra Judá e contra todas as nações, desde o dia em que te falei, desde os dias de Josias até hoje. 3 Talvez ouçam os da casa de Judá todo o mal que eu intento fazer-lhes e venham a converter-se cada um do seu mau caminho, e eu lhes perdoe a iniqüidade e o pecado. 4 Então, Jeremias chamou a Baruque, filho de Nerias; escreveu Baruque no rolo, segundo o que ditou Jeremias, todas as palavras que a este o SENHOR havia revelado. 5 Jeremias ordenou a Baruque, dizendo: Estou encarcerado; não posso entrar na Casa do SENHOR. 6 Entra, pois, tu e, do rolo que escreveste, segundo o que eu ditei, lê todas as palavras do SENHOR, diante do povo, na Casa do SENHOR, no dia de jejum; e também as lerás diante de todos os de Judá que vêm das suas cidades. 7 Pode ser que as suas humildes súplicas sejam bem acolhidas pelo SENHOR, e cada um se converta do seu mau caminho; porque grande é a ira e o furor que o SENHOR tem manifestado contra este povo. 8 Fez Baruque, filho de Nerias, segundo tudo quanto lhe havia ordenado Jeremias, o profeta, e leu naquele livro as palavras do SENHOR, na Casa do SENHOR. 9 No quinto ano de Jeoaquim, filho de Josias, rei de Judá, no mês nono, apregoaram jejum diante do SENHOR a todo o povo em Jerusalém, como também a todo o povo que vinha das cidades de Judá a Jerusalém. 10 Leu, pois, Baruque naquele livro as palavras de Jeremias na Casa do SENHOR, na câmara de Gemarias, filho de Safã, o escriba, no átrio superior, à entrada da Porta Nova da Casa do SENHOR, diante de todo o povo. 11 Ouvindo Micaías, filho de Gemarias, filho de Safã, todas as palavras do SENHOR, naquele livro, 12 desceu à casa do rei, à câmara do escrivão. Eis que todos os príncipes estavam ali assentados: Elisama, o escrivão, Delaías, filho de Semaías, Elnatã, filho de Acbor, Gemarias, filho de Safã, Zedequias, filho de Hananias, e todos os outros príncipes. 13 Micaías anunciou-lhes todas as palavras que ouvira, quando Baruque leu o livro diante do povo. 14 Então, todos os príncipes mandaram Jeudi, filho de Netanias, filho de Selemias, filho de Cusi, dizer a Baruque: O rolo que leste diante do povo, toma-o contigo e vem. Baruque, filho de Nerias, tomou o rolo consigo e veio ter com eles. 15 Disseram-lhe: Assenta-te, agora, e lê-o para nós. E Baruque o leu diante deles. 16 Tendo eles ouvido todas aquelas palavras, entreolharam-se atemorizados e disseram a Baruque: Sem dúvida nenhuma, anunciaremos ao rei todas estas palavras. 17 E perguntaram a Baruque, dizendo: Declara-nos, como escreveste isto? Acaso, te ditou o profeta todas estas palavras? 18 Respondeu-lhes Baruque: Ditava-me pessoalmente todas estas palavras, e eu as escrevia no livro com tinta. 19 Então, disseram os príncipes a Baruque: Vai, esconde-te, tu e Jeremias; ninguém saiba onde estais. 20 Foram os príncipes ter com o rei ao átrio, depois de terem depositado o rolo na câmara de Elisama, o escrivão, e anunciaram diante do rei todas aquelas palavras. 21 Então, enviou o rei a Jeudi, para que trouxesse o rolo; Jeudi tomou-o da câmara de Elisama, o escrivão, e o leu diante do rei e de todos os príncipes que estavam com ele. 22 O rei estava assentado na casa de inverno, pelo nono mês, e diante dele estava um braseiro aceso. 23 Tendo Jeudi lido três ou quatro folhas do livro, cortou-o o rei com um canivete de escrivão e o lançou no fogo que havia no braseiro, e, assim, todo o rolo se consumiu no fogo que estava no braseiro. 24 Não se atemorizaram, não rasgaram as vestes, nem o rei nem nenhum dos seus servos que ouviram todas aquelas palavras. 25 Posto que Elnatã, Delaías e Gemarias tinham insistido com o rei que não queimasse o rolo, ele não lhes deu ouvidos. 26 Antes, deu ordem o rei a Jerameel, filho de Hameleque, a Seraías, filho de Azriel, e a Selemias, filho de Abdeel, que prendessem a Baruque, o escrivão, e a Jeremias, o profeta; mas o SENHOR os havia escondido. 27 Então, veio a Jeremias a palavra do SENHOR, depois que o rei queimara o rolo com as palavras que Baruque escrevera ditadas por Jeremias, dizendo: 28 Toma outro rolo e escreve nele todas as palavras que estavam no original, que Jeoaquim, rei de Judá, queimou. 29 E a Jeoaquim, rei de Judá, dirás: Assim diz o SENHOR: Tu queimaste aquele rolo, dizendo: Por que escreveste nele que certamente viria o rei da Babilônia, e destruiria esta terra, e acabaria com homens e animais dela? 30 Portanto, assim diz o SENHOR, acerca de Jeoaquim, rei de Judá: Ele não terá quem se assente no trono de Davi, e o seu cadáver será largado ao calor do dia e à geada da noite. 31 Castigá-lo-ei, e à sua descendência, e aos seus servos por causa da iniqüidade deles; sobre ele, sobre os moradores de Jerusalém e sobre os homens de Judá farei cair todo o mal que tenho falado contra eles, e não ouviram. 32 Tomou, pois, Jeremias outro rolo e o deu a Baruque, filho de Nerias, o escrivão, o qual escreveu nele, ditado por Jeremias, todas as palavras do livro que Jeoaquim, rei de Judá, queimara; e ainda se lhes acrescentaram muitas palavras semelhantes. https://www.biblegateway.com/ audio/dramatized/kjv/Jer.36 ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  36 And it came to pass in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that this word came unto Jeremiah from the Lord, saying, 2 Take thee a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto thee against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spake unto thee, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day. 3 It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin. 4 Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah: and Baruch wrote from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the Lord, which he had spoken unto him, upon a roll of a book. 5 And Jeremiah commanded Baruch, saying, I am shut up; I cannot go into the house of the Lord: 6 Therefore go thou, and read in the roll, which thou hast written from my mouth, the words of the Lord in the ears of the people in the Lord's house upon the fasting day: and also thou shalt read them in the ears of all Judah that come out of their cities. 7 It may be they will present their supplication before the Lord, and will return every one from his evil way: for great is the anger and the fury that the Lord hath pronounced against this people. 8 And Baruch the son of Neriah did according to all that Jeremiah the prophet commanded him, reading in the book the words of the Lord in the Lord's house. 9 And it came to pass in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, in the ninth month, that they proclaimed a fast before the Lord to all the people in Jerusalem, and to all the people that came from the cities of Judah unto Jerusalem. 10 Then read Baruch in the book the words of Jeremiah in the house of the Lord, in the chamber of Gemariah the son of Shaphan the scribe, in the higher court, at the entry of the new gate of the Lord's house, in the ears of all the people. 11 When Michaiah the son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, had heard out of the book all the words of the Lord, 12 Then he went down into the king's house, into the scribe's chamber: and, lo, all the princes sat there, even Elishama the scribe, and Delaiah the son of Shemaiah, and Elnathan the son of Achbor, and Gemariah the son of Shaphan, and Zedekiah the son of Hananiah, and all the princes. 13 Then Michaiah declared unto them all the words that he had heard, when Baruch read the book in the ears of the people. 14 Therefore all the princes sent Jehudi the son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, unto Baruch, saying, Take in thine hand the roll wherein thou hast read in the ears of the people, and come. So Baruch the son of Neriah took the roll in his hand, and came unto them. 15 And they said unto him, Sit down now, and read it in our ears. So Baruch read it in their ears. 16 Now it came to pass, when they had heard all the words, they were afraid both one and other, and said unto Baruch, We will surely tell the king of all these words. 17 And they asked Baruch, saying, Tell us now, How didst thou write all these words at his mouth? 18 Then Baruch answered them, He pronounced all these words unto me with his mouth, and I wrote them with ink in the book. 19 Then said the princes unto Baruch, Go, hide thee, thou and Jeremiah; and let no man know where ye be. 20 And they went in to the king into the court, but they laid up the roll in the chamber of Elishama the scribe, and told all the words in the ears of the king. 21 So the king sent Jehudi to fetch the roll: and he took it out of Elishama the scribe's chamber. SENHOR, Deus de Israel, por que sucedeu isto em Israel, que, hoje, lhe falte uma tribo? 4 Ao dia seguinte, o povo, pela manhã, se levantou e edificou ali um altar; e apresentaram holocaustos e ofertas pacíficas. 5 Disseram os filhos de Israel: Quem de todas as tribos de Israel não subiu à assembléia do SENHOR? Porque se tinha feito um grande juramento acerca do que não viesse ao SENHOR a Mispa, que dizia: Será morto. 6 Os filhos de Israel tiveram compaixão de seu irmão Benjamim e disseram: Foi, hoje, eliminada uma tribo de Israel. 7 Como obteremos mulheres para os restantes deles, pois juramos, pelo SENHOR, que das nossas filhas não lhes daríamos por mulheres? 8 E disseram: Há alguma das tribos de Israel que não tenha subido ao SENHOR a Mispa? E eis que ninguém de Jabes-Gileade viera ao acampamento, à assembléia. 9 Quando se contou o povo, eis que nenhum dos moradores de Jabes-Gileade se achou ali. 10 Por isso, a congregação enviou lá doze mil homens dos mais valentes e lhes ordenou, dizendo: Ide e, a fio de espada, feri os moradores de Jabes-Gileade, e as mulheres, e as crianças. 11 Isto é o que haveis de fazer: a todo homem e a toda mulher que se houver deitado com homem destruireis. 12 Acharam entre os moradores de Jabes-Gileade quatrocentas moças virgens, que não se deitaram com homem; e as trouxeram ao acampamento, a Siló, que está na terra de Canaã. 13 Toda a congregação, pois, enviou mensageiros aos filhos de Benjamim que estavam na penha Rimom, e lhes proclamaram a paz. 14 Nesse mesmo tempo, voltaram os benjamitas; e se lhes deram por mulheres as que foram conservadas com vida, das de Jabes-Gileade; porém estas ainda não lhes bastaram. 15 Então, o povo teve compaixão de Benjamim, porquanto o SENHOR tinha feito brecha nas tribos de Israel. 16 Disseram os anciãos da congregação: Como obteremos mulheres para os restantes ainda, pois foram exterminadas as mulheres dos benjamitas? 17 Disseram mais: A herança dos que ficaram de resto não na deve perder Benjamim, visto que nenhuma tribo de Israel deve ser destruída. 18 Porém nós não lhes poderemos dar mulheres de nossas filhas, porque os filhos de Israel juraram, dizendo: Maldito o que der mulher aos benjamitas. 19 Então, disseram: Eis que, de ano em ano, há solenidade do SENHOR em Siló, que se celebra para o norte de Betel, do lado do nascente do sol, pelo caminho alto que sobe de Betel a Siquém e para o sul de Lebona. 20 Ordenaram aos filhos de Benjamim, dizendo: Ide, e emboscai-vos nas vinhas, 21 e olhai; e eis aí, saindo as filhas de Siló a dançar em rodas, saí vós das vinhas, e arrebatai, dentre elas, cada um sua mulher, e ide-vos à terra de Benjamim. 22 Quando seus pais ou seus irmãos vierem queixar-se a nós, nós lhes diremos: por amor de nós, tende compaixão deles, pois, na guerra contra Jabes-Gileade, não obtivemos mulheres para cada um deles; e também não lhes destes, pois neste caso ficaríeis culpados. 23 Assim fizeram os filhos de Benjamim e levaram mulheres conforme o número deles, das que arrebataram das rodas que dançavam; e foram-se, voltaram à sua herança, reedificaram as cidades e habitaram nelas. 24 Então, os filhos de Israel também partiram dali, cada um para a sua tribo, para a sua família e para a sua herança. 25 Naqueles dias, não havia rei em Israel; cada um fazia o que achava mais reto. https://www.biblegateway.com/ audio/dramatized/kjv/Judg.21 ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  21 Now the men of Israel had sworn in Mizpeh, saying, There shall not any of us give his daughter unto Benjamin to wife. 2 And the people came to the house of God, and abode there till even before God, and lifted up their voices, and wept sore; 3 And said, O Lord God of Israel, why is this come to pass in Israel, that there should be to day one tribe lacking in Israel? 4 And it came to pass on the morrow, that the people rose early, and built there an altar, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. 5 And the children of Israel said, Who is there among all the tribes of Israel that came not up with the congregation unto the Lord? For they had made a great oath concerning him that came not up to the Lord to Mizpeh, saying, He shall surely be put to death. 6 And the children of Israel repented them for Benjamin their brother, and said, There is one tribe cut off from Israel this day. 7 How shall we do for wives for them that remain, seeing we have sworn by the Lord that we will not give them of our daughters to wives? 8 And they said, What one is there of the tribes of Israel that came not up to Mizpeh to the Lord? And, behold, there came none to the camp from Jabeshgilead to the assembly. 9 For the people were numbered, and, behold, there were none of the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead there. 10 And the congregation sent thither twelve thousand men of the valiantest, and commanded them, saying, Go and smite the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead with the edge of the sword, with the women and the children. 11 And this is the thing that ye shall do, Ye shall utterly destroy every male, and every woman that hath lain by man. 12 And they found among the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead four hundred young virgins, that had known no man by lying with any male: and they brought them unto the camp to Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan. 13 And the whole congregation sent some to speak to the children of Benjamin that were in the rock Rimmon, and to call peaceably unto them. 14 And Benjamin came again at that time; and they gave them wives which they had saved alive of the women of Jabeshgilead: and yet so they sufficed them not. 15 And the people repented them for Benjamin, because that the Lord had made a breach in the tribes of Israel. 16 Then the elders of the congregation said, How shall we do for wives for them that remain, seeing the women are destroyed out of Benjamin? 17 And they said, There must be an inheritance for them that be escaped of Benjamin, that a tribe be not destroyed out of Israel. 18 Howbeit we may not give them wives of our daughters: for the children of Israel have sworn, saying, Cursed be he that giveth a wife to Benjamin. 19 Then they said, Behold, there is a feast of the Lord in Shiloh yearly in a place which is on the north side of Bethel, on the east side of the highway that goeth up from Bethel to Shechem, and on the south of Lebonah. 20 Therefore they commanded the children of Benjamin, saying, Go and lie in wait in the vineyards; 21 And see, and, behold, if the daughters of Shiloh come out to dance in dances, then come ye out of the vineyards, and catch you every man his wife of the daughters of Shiloh, and go to the land of Benjamin. 22 And it shall be, when their fathers or their brethren come unto us to complain, that we will say unto them, Be favourable unto them for our sakes: because we reserved not to each man his wife in the war: for ye did not give unto them at this time, that ye should be guilty. 23 And the children of Benjamin did so, and took them wives, according to their number, of them that danced, whom they caught: and they went and returned unto their inheritance, and repaired the cities, and dwelt in them. 24 And the children of Israel departed thence at that time, every man to his tribe and to his family, and they went out from thence every man to his inheritance. 25 In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Atos 25 1 Tendo, pois, Festo assumido o governo da província, três dias depois, subiu de Cesaréia para Jerusalém; 2 e, logo, os principais sacerdotes e os maiorais dos judeus lhe apresentaram queixa contra Paulo e lhe solicitavam, 3 pedindo como favor, em detrimento de Paulo, que o mandasse vir a Jerusalém, armando eles cilada para o matarem na estrada. 4 Festo, porém, respondeu achar-se Paulo detido em Cesaréia; e que ele mesmo, muito em breve, partiria para lá. 5 Portanto, disse ele, os que dentre vós estiverem habilitados que desçam comigo; e, havendo contra este homem qualquer crime, acusem-no. 6 E, não se demorando entre eles mais de oito ou dez dias, desceu para Cesaréia; e, no dia seguinte, assentando-se no tribunal, ordenou que Paulo fosse trazido. 7 Comparecendo este, rodearam-no os judeus que haviam descido de Jerusalém, trazendo muitas e graves acusações contra ele, as quais, entretanto, não podiam provar. 8 Paulo, porém, defendendo-se, proferiu as seguintes palavras: Nenhum pecado cometi contra a lei dos judeus, nem contra o templo, nem contra César. 9 Então, Festo, querendo assegurar o apoio dos judeus, respondeu a Paulo: Queres tu subir a Jerusalém e ser ali julgado por mim a respeito destas coisas? 10 Disse-lhe Paulo: Estou perante o tribunal de César, onde convém seja eu julgado; nenhum agravo pratiquei contra os judeus, como tu muito bem sabes. 11 Caso, pois, tenha eu praticado algum mal ou crime digno de morte, estou pronto para morrer; se, pelo contrário, não são verdadeiras as coisas de que me acusam, ninguém, para lhes ser agradável, pode entregar-me a eles. Apelo para César. 12 Então, Festo, tendo falado com o conselho, respondeu: Para César apelaste, para César irás. 13 Passados alguns dias, o rei Agripa e Berenice chegaram a Cesaréia a fim de saudar a Festo. 14 Como se demorassem ali alguns dias, Festo expôs ao rei o caso de Paulo, dizendo: Félix deixou aqui preso certo homem, 15 a respeito de quem os principais sacerdotes e os anciãos dos judeus apresentaram queixa, estando eu em Jerusalém, pedindo que o condenasse. 16 A eles respondi que não é costume dos romanos condenar quem quer que seja, sem que o acusado tenha presentes os seus acusadores e possa defender-se da acusação. 17 De sorte que, chegando eles aqui juntos, sem nenhuma demora, no dia seguinte, assentando-me no tribunal, determinei fosse trazido o homem; 18 e, levantando-se os acusadores, nenhum delito referiram dos crimes de que eu suspeitava. 19 Traziam contra ele algumas questões referentes à sua própria religião e particularmente a certo morto, chamado Jesus, que Paulo afirmava estar vivo. 20 Estando eu perplexo quanto ao modo de investigar estas coisas, perguntei-lhe se queria ir a Jerusalém para ser ali julgado a respeito disso. 21 Mas, havendo Paulo apelado para que ficasse em custódia para o julgamento de César, ordenei que o acusado continuasse detido até que eu o enviasse a César. 22 Então, Agripa disse a Festo: Eu também gostaria de ouvir este homem. Amanhã, respondeu ele, o ouvirás. 23 De fato, no dia seguinte, vindo Agripa e Berenice, com grande pompa, tendo eles entrado na audiência juntamente com oficiais superiores e homens eminentes da cidade, Paulo foi trazido por ordem de Festo. 24 Então, disse Festo: Rei Agripa e todos vós que estais presentes conosco, vedes este homem, por causa de quem toda a multidão dos judeus recorreu a mim tanto em Jerusalém como aqui, clamando que não convinha que ele vivesse mais. 25 Porém eu achei que ele nada praticara passível de morte; entretanto, tendo ele apelado para o imperador, resolvi mandá-lo ao imperador. 26 Contudo, a respeito dele, nada tenho de positivo que escreva ao soberano; por isso, eu o trouxe à vossa presença e, mormente, à tua, ó rei Agripa, para que, feita a argüição, tenha eu alguma coisa que escrever; 27 porque não me parece razoável remeter um preso sem mencionar, ao mesmo tempo, as acusações que militam contra ele. https://www.biblegateway.com/ audio/dramatized/kjv/Acts.25 ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  25 Now when Festus was come into the province, after three days he ascended from Caesarea to Jerusalem. 2 Then the high priest and the chief of the Jews informed him against Paul, and besought him, 3 And desired favour against him, that he would send for him to Jerusalem, laying wait in the way to kill him. 4 But Festus answered, that Paul should be kept at Caesarea, and that he himself would depart shortly thither. 5 Let them therefore, said he, which among you are able, go down with me, and accuse this man, if there be any wickedness in him. 6 And when he had tarried among them more than ten days, he went down unto Caesarea; and the next day sitting on the judgment seat commanded Paul to be brought. 7 And when he was come, the Jews which came down from Jerusalem stood round about, and laid many and grievous complaints against Paul, which they could not prove. 8 While he answered for himself, Neither against the law of the Jews, neither against the temple, nor yet against Caesar, have I offended any thing at all. 9 But Festus, willing to do the Jews a pleasure, answered Paul, and said, Wilt thou go up to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these things before me? 10 Then said Paul, I stand at Caesar's judgment seat, where I ought to be judged: to the Jews have I done no wrong, as thou very well knowest. 11 For if I be an offender, or have committed any thing worthy of death, I refuse not to die: but if there be none of these things whereof these accuse me, no man may deliver me unto them. I appeal unto Caesar. 12 Then Festus, when he had conferred with the council, answered, Hast thou appealed unto Caesar? unto Caesar shalt thou go. 13 And after certain days king Agrippa and Bernice came unto Caesarea to salute Festus. 14 And when they had been there many days, Festus declared Paul's cause unto the king, saying, There is a certain man left in bonds by Felix: 15 About whom, when I was at Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of the Jews informed me, desiring to have judgment against him. 16 To whom I answered, It is not the manner of the Romans to deliver any man to die, before that he which is accused have the accusers face to face, and have licence to answer for himself concerning the crime laid against him. 17 Therefore, when they were come hither, without any delay on the morrow I sat on the judgment seat, and commanded the man to be brought forth. 18 Against whom when the accusers stood up, they brought none accusation of such things as I supposed: 19 But had certain questions against him of their own superstition, and of one Jesus, which was dead, whom Paul affirmed to be alive. 20 And because I doubted of such manner of questions, I asked him whether he would go to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these matters. 21 But when Paul had appealed to be reserved unto the hearing of Augustus, I commanded him to be kept till I might send him to Caesar. 22 Then Agrippa said unto Festus, I would also hear the man myself. To morrow, said he, thou shalt hear him. 23 And on the morrow, when Agrippa was come, and Bernice, with great pomp, and was entered into the place of hearing, with the chief captains, and principal men of the city, at Festus' commandment Paul was brought forth. 24 And Festus said, King Agrippa, and all men which are here present with us, ye see this man, about whom all the multitude of the Jews have dealt with me, both at Jerusalem, and also here, crying that he ought not to live any longer. 25 But when I found that he had committed nothing worthy of death, and that he himself hath appealed to Augustus, I have determined to send him. 26 Of whom I have no certain thing to write unto my lord. Wherefore I have brought him forth before you, and specially before thee, O king Agrippa, that, after examination had, I might have somewhat to write. 27 For it seemeth to me unreasonable to send a prisoner, and not withal to signify the crimes laid against him.  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Jeremias 35 1 Palavra que do SENHOR veio a Jeremias, nos dias de Jeoaquim, filho de Josias, rei de Judá, dizendo: 2 Vai à casa dos recabitas, fala com eles, leva-os à Casa do SENHOR, a uma das câmaras, e dá-lhes vinho a beber. 3 Então, tomei a Jazanias, filho de Jeremias, filho de Habazinias, aos irmãos, e a todos os filhos dele, e a toda a casa dos recabitas; 4 e os levei à Casa do SENHOR, à câmara dos filhos de Hanã, filho de Jigdalias, homem de Deus, que está junto à câmara dos príncipes e sobre a de Maaséias, filho de Salum, guarda do vestíbulo; 5 e pus diante dos filhos da casa dos recabitas taças cheias de vinho e copos e lhes disse: Bebei vinho. 6 Mas eles disseram: Não beberemos vinho, porque Jonadabe, filho de Recabe, nosso pai, nos ordenou: Nunca jamais bebereis vinho, nem vós nem vossos filhos; 7 não edificareis casa, não fareis sementeiras, não plantareis, nem possuireis vinha alguma; mas habitareis em tendas todos os vossos dias, para que vivais muitos dias sobre a terra em que viveis peregrinando. 8 Obedecemos, pois, à voz de Jonadabe, filho de Recabe, nosso pai, em tudo quanto nos ordenou; de maneira que não bebemos vinho em todos os nossos dias, nem nós, nem nossas mulheres, nem nossos filhos, nem nossas filhas; 9 nem edificamos casas para nossa habitação; não temos vinha, nem campo, nem semente. 10 Mas habitamos em tendas, e, assim, obedecemos, e tudo fizemos segundo nos ordenou Jonadabe, nosso pai. 11 Quando, porém, Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia, subia a esta terra, dissemos: Vinde, e refugiemo-nos em Jerusalém, por causa do exército dos caldeus e dos siros; e assim ficamos em Jerusalém. 12 Então, veio a palavra do SENHOR a Jeremias, dizendo: 13 Assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos, o Deus de Israel: Vai e dize aos homens de Judá e aos moradores de Jerusalém: Acaso, nunca aceitareis a minha advertência para obedecerdes às minhas palavras? – diz o SENHOR. 14 As palavras de Jonadabe, filho de Recabe, que ordenou a seus filhos não bebessem vinho, foram guardadas; pois, até ao dia de hoje, não beberam; antes, obedecem às ordens de seu pai; a mim, porém, que, começando de madrugada, vos tenho falado, não me obedecestes. 15 Começando de madrugada, vos tenho enviado todos os meus servos, dizendo: Convertei-vos agora, cada um do seu mau caminho, fazei boas as vossas ações e não sigais a outros deuses para servi-los; assim ficareis na terra que vos dei a vós outros e a vossos pais; mas não me inclinastes os ouvidos, nem me obedecestes a mim. 16 Visto que os filhos de Jonadabe, filho de Recabe, guardaram o mandamento de seu pai, que ele lhes ordenara, mas este povo não me obedeceu, 17 por isso, assim diz o SENHOR, o Deus dos Exércitos, o Deus de Israel: Eis que trarei sobre Judá e sobre todos os moradores de Jerusalém todo o mal que falei contra eles; pois lhes tenho falado, e não me obedeceram, clamei a eles, e não responderam. 18 À casa dos recabitas disse Jeremias: Assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos, o Deus de Israel: Pois que obedecestes ao mandamento de Jonadabe, vosso pai, e guardastes todos os seus preceitos, e tudo fizestes segundo vos ordenou, 19 por isso, assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos, o Deus de Israel: Nunca faltará homem a Jonadabe, filho de Recabe, que esteja na minha presença. https://www.biblegateway.com/ audio/dramatized/kjv/Jer.35 ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  35 The word which came unto Jeremiah from the Lord in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, saying, 2 Go unto the house of the Rechabites, and speak unto them, and bring them into the house of the Lord, into one of the chambers, and give them wine to drink. 3 Then I took Jaazaniah the son of Jeremiah, the son of Habaziniah, and his brethren, and all his sons, and the whole house of the Rechabites; 4 And I brought them into the house of the Lord, into the chamber of the sons of Hanan, the son of Igdaliah, a man of God, which was by the chamber of the princes, which was above the chamber of Maaseiah the son of Shallum, the keeper of the door: 5 And I set before the sons of the house of the Rechabites pots full of wine, and cups, and I said unto them, Drink ye wine. 6 But they said, We will drink no wine: for Jonadab the son of Rechab our father commanded us, saying, Ye shall drink no wine, neither ye, nor your sons for ever: 7 Neither shall ye build house, nor sow seed, nor plant vineyard, nor have any: but all your days ye shall dwell in tents; that ye may live many days in the land where ye be strangers. 8 Thus have we obeyed the voice of Jonadab the son of Rechab our father in all that he hath charged us, to drink no wine all our days, we, our wives, our sons, nor our daughters; 9 Nor to build houses for us to dwell in: neither have we vineyard, nor field, nor seed: 10 But we have dwelt in tents, and have obeyed, and done according to all that Jonadab our father commanded us. 11 But it came to pass, when Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came up into the land, that we said, Come, and let us go to Jerusalem for fear of the army of the Chaldeans, and for fear of the army of the Syrians: so we dwell at Jerusalem. 12 Then came the word of the Lord unto Jeremiah, saying, 13 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Go and tell the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, Will ye not receive instruction to hearken to my words?
