Deuteronômio 13
1 Quando profeta ou sonhador se levantar no meio de ti e te anunciar um sinal ou prodígio,
2 e suceder o tal sinal ou prodígio de que te houver falado, e disser: Vamos após outros deuses, que não conheceste, e sirvamo-los,
3 não ouvirás as palavras desse profeta ou sonhador; porquanto o SENHOR, vosso Deus, vos prova, para saber se amais o SENHOR, vosso Deus, de todo o vosso coração e de toda a vossa alma.
4 Andareis após o SENHOR, vosso Deus, e a ele temereis; guardareis os seus mandamentos, ouvireis a sua voz, a ele servireis e a ele vos achegareis.
5 Esse profeta ou sonhador será morto, pois pregou rebeldia contra o SENHOR, vosso Deus, que vos tirou da terra do Egito e vos resgatou da casa da servidão, para vos apartar do caminho que vos ordenou o SENHOR, vosso Deus, para andardes nele. Assim, eliminarás o mal do meio de ti.
6 Se teu irmão, filho de tua mãe, ou teu filho, ou tua filha, ou a mulher do teu amor, ou teu amigo que amas como à tua alma te incitar em segredo, dizendo: Vamos e sirvamos a outros deuses, que não conheceste, nem tu, nem teus pais,
7 dentre os deuses dos povos que estão em redor de ti, perto ou longe de ti, desde uma até à outra extremidade da terra,
8 não concordarás com ele, nem o ouvirás; não olharás com piedade, não o pouparás, nem o esconderás,
9 mas, certamente, o matarás. A tua mão será a primeira contra ele, para o matar, e depois a mão de todo o povo.
10 Apedrejá-lo-ás até que morra, pois te procurou apartar do SENHOR, teu Deus, que te tirou da terra do Egito, da casa da servidão.
11 E todo o Israel ouvirá e temerá, e não se tornará a praticar maldade como esta no meio de ti.
12 Quando em alguma das tuas cidades que o SENHOR, teu Deus, te dá, para ali habitares, ouvires dizer
13 que homens malignos saíram do meio de ti e incitaram os moradores da sua cidade, dizendo: Vamos e sirvamos a outros deuses, que não conheceste,
14 então, inquirirás, investigarás e, com diligência, perguntarás; e eis que, se for verdade e certo que tal abominação se cometeu no meio de ti,
15 então, certamente, ferirás a fio de espada os moradores daquela cidade, destruindo-a completamente e tudo o que nela houver, até os animais.
16 Ajuntarás todo o seu despojo no meio da sua praça e a cidade e todo o seu despojo queimarás por oferta total ao SENHOR, teu Deus, e será montão perpétuo de ruínas; nunca mais se edificará.
17 Também nada do que for condenado deverá ficar em tua mão, para que o SENHOR se aparte do ardor da sua ira, e te faça misericórdia, e tenha piedade de ti, e te multiplique, como jurou a teus pais,
18 se ouvires a voz do SENHOR, teu Deus, e guardares todos os seus mandamentos que hoje te ordeno, para fazeres o que é reto aos olhos do SENHOR, teu Deus.
13 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, 2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; 3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the Lord your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. 4 Ye shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. 5 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the Lord your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the Lord thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee. 6 If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers; 7 Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth; 8 Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him: 9 But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. 10 And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. 11 And all Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall do no more any such wickedness as this is among you. 12 If thou shalt hear say in one of thy cities, which the Lord thy God hath given thee to dwell there, saying, 13 Certain men, the children of Belial, are gone out from among you, and have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which ye have not known; 14 Then shalt thou enquire, and make search, and ask diligently; and, behold, if it be truth, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought among you; 15 Thou shalt surely smite the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that is therein, and the cattle thereof, with the edge of the sword. 16 And thou shalt gather all the spoil of it into the midst of the street thereof, and shalt burn with fire the city, and all the spoil thereof every whit, for the Lord thy God: and it shall be an heap for ever; it shall not be built again. 17 And there shall cleave nought of the cursed thing to thine hand: that the Lord may turn from the fierceness of his anger, and shew thee mercy, and have compassion upon thee, and multiply thee, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers; 18 When thou shalt hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep all his commandments which I command thee this day, to do that which is right in the eyes of the Lord thy God.

Deuteronômio 14
1 Filhos sois do SENHOR, vosso Deus; não vos dareis golpes, nem sobre a testa fareis calva por causa de algum morto.
2 Porque sois povo santo ao SENHOR, vosso Deus, e o SENHOR vos escolheu de todos os povos que há sobre a face da terra, para lhe serdes seu povo próprio.
3 Não comereis coisa alguma abominável.
4 São estes os animais que comereis: o boi, a ovelha, a cabra,
5 o veado, a gazela, a corça, a cabra montês, o antílope, a ovelha montês e o gamo.
6 Todo animal que tem unhas fendidas, e o casco se divide em dois, e rumina, entre os animais, isso comereis.
7 Porém estes não comereis, dos que somente ruminam ou que têm a unha fendida: o camelo, a lebre e o arganaz, porque ruminam, mas não têm a unha fendida; imundos vos serão.
8 Nem o porco, porque tem unha fendida, mas não rumina; imundo vos será. Destes não comereis a carne e não tocareis no seu cadáver.
9 Isto comereis de tudo o que há nas águas: tudo o que tem barbatanas e escamas.
10 Mas tudo o que não tiver barbatanas nem escamas não o comereis; imundo vos será.
11 Toda ave limpa comereis.
12 Estas, porém, são as que não comereis: a águia, o quebrantosso, a águia marinha,
13 o açor, o falcão e o milhano, segundo a sua espécie;
14 e todo corvo, segundo a sua espécie;
15 o avestruz, a coruja, a gaivota e o gavião, segundo a sua espécie;
16 o mocho, a íbis, a gralha,
17 o pelicano, o abutre, o corvo marinho,
18 a cegonha, e a garça, segundo a sua espécie, e a poupa, e o morcego.
19 Também todo inseto que voa vos será imundo; não se comerá.
20 Toda ave limpa comereis.
21 Não comereis nenhum animal que morreu por si. Podereis dá-lo ao estrangeiro que está dentro da tua cidade, para que o coma, ou vendê-lo ao estranho, porquanto sois povo santo ao SENHOR, vosso Deus. Não cozerás o cabrito no leite da sua própria mãe.
22 Certamente, darás os dízimos de todo o fruto das tuas sementes, que ano após ano se recolher do campo.
23 E, perante o SENHOR, teu Deus, no lugar que escolher para ali fazer habitar o seu nome, comerás os dízimos do teu cereal, do teu vinho, do teu azeite e os primogênitos das tuas vacas e das tuas ovelhas; para que aprendas a temer o SENHOR, teu Deus, todos os dias.
24 Quando o caminho te for comprido demais, que os não possas levar, por estar longe de ti o lugar que o SENHOR, teu Deus, escolher para ali pôr o seu nome, quando o SENHOR, teu Deus, te tiver abençoado,
25 então, vende-os, e leva o dinheiro na tua mão, e vai ao lugar que o SENHOR, teu Deus, escolher.
26 Esse dinheiro, dá-lo-ás por tudo o que deseja a tua alma, por vacas, ou ovelhas, ou vinho, ou bebida forte, ou qualquer coisa que te pedir a tua alma; come-o ali perante o SENHOR, teu Deus, e te alegrarás, tu e a tua casa;
27 porém não desampararás o levita que está dentro da tua cidade, pois não tem parte nem herança contigo.
28 Ao fim de cada três anos, tirarás todos os dízimos do fruto do terceiro ano e os recolherás na tua cidade.
29 Então, virão o levita (pois não tem parte nem herança contigo), o estrangeiro, o órfão e a viúva que estão dentro da tua cidade, e comerão, e se fartarão, para que o SENHOR, teu Deus, te abençoe em todas as obras que as tuas mãos fizerem.
14 Ye are the children of the Lord your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.
2 For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God, and the Lord hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth. 3 Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing. 4 These are the beasts which ye shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat, 5 The hart, and the roebuck, and the fallow deer, and the wild goat, and the pygarg, and the wild ox, and the chamois. 6 And every beast that parteth the hoof, and cleaveth the cleft into two claws, and cheweth the cud among the beasts, that ye shall eat. 7 Nevertheless these ye shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the cloven hoof; as the camel, and the hare, and the coney: for they chew the cud, but divide not the hoof; therefore they are unclean unto you. 8 And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcase. 9 These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat: 10 And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto you. 11 Of all clean birds ye shall eat. 12 But these are they of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray, 13 And the glede, and the kite, and the vulture after his kind, 14 And every raven after his kind, 15 And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind, 16 The little owl, and the great owl, and the swan, 17 And the pelican, and the gier eagle, and the cormorant, 18 And the stork, and the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat. 19 And every creeping thing that flieth is unclean unto you: they shall not be eaten. 20 But of all clean fowls ye may eat. 21 Ye shall not eat of anything that dieth of itself: thou shalt give it unto the stranger that is in thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it unto an alien: for thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk. 22 Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year. 23 And thou shalt eat before the Lord thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the Lord thy God always. 24 And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the Lord thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the Lord thy God hath blessed thee: 25 Then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the Lord thy God shall choose: 26 And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the Lord thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household, 27 And the Levite that is within thy gates; thou shalt not forsake him; for he hath no part nor inheritance with thee. 28 At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates: 29 And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the Lord thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest.

Salmos 99
1 Reina o SENHOR; tremam os povos. Ele está entronizado acima dos querubins; abale-se a terra.
2 O SENHOR é grande em Sião e sobremodo elevado acima de todos os povos.
3 Celebrem eles o teu nome grande e tremendo, porque é santo.
4 És rei poderoso que ama a justiça; tu firmas a equidade, executas o juízo e a justiça em Jacó.
5 Exaltai ao SENHOR, nosso Deus, e prostrai-vos ante o escabelo de seus pés, porque ele é santo.
6 Moisés e Arão, entre os seus sacerdotes, e, Samuel, entre os que lhe invocam o nome, clamavam ao SENHOR, e ele os ouvia.
7 Falava-lhes na coluna de nuvem; eles guardavam os seus mandamentos e a lei que lhes tinha dado.

99 The Lord reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be moved.

1 Celebrai com júbilo ao SENHOR, todas as terras.

3 Sabei que o SENHOR é Deus; foi ele quem nos fez, e dele somos; somos o seu povo e rebanho do seu pastoreio.
4 Entrai por suas portas com ações de graças e nos seus átrios, com hinos de louvor; rendei-lhe graças e bendizei-lhe o nome.
5 Porque o SENHOR é bom, a sua misericórdia dura para sempre, e, de geração em geração, a sua fidelidade.

Isaías 41
1 Calai-vos perante mim, ó ilhas, e os povos renovem as suas forças; cheguem-se e, então, falem; cheguemo-nos e pleiteemos juntos.
2 Quem suscitou do Oriente aquele a cujos passos segue a vitória? Quem faz que as nações se lhe submetam, e que ele calque aos pés os reis, e com a sua espada os transforme em pó, e com o seu arco, em palha que o vento arrebata?
3 Persegue-os e passa adiante em segurança, por uma vereda que seus pés jamais trilharam.
4 Quem fez e executou tudo isso? Aquele que desde o princípio tem chamado as gerações à existência, eu, o SENHOR, o primeiro, e com os últimos eu mesmo.
5 Os países do mar viram isto e temeram, os fins da terra tremeram, aproximaram-se e vieram.
6 Um ao outro ajudou e ao seu próximo disse: Sê forte.
7 Assim, o artífice anima ao ourives, e o que alisa com o martelo, ao que bate na bigorna, dizendo da soldadura: Está bem feita. Então, com pregos fixa o ídolo para que não oscile.
8 Mas tu, ó Israel, servo meu, tu, Jacó, a quem elegi, descendente de Abraão, meu amigo,
9 tu, a quem tomei das extremidades da terra, e chamei dos seus cantos mais remotos, e a quem disse: Tu és o meu servo, eu te escolhi e não te rejeitei,
10 não temas, porque eu sou contigo; não te assombres, porque eu sou o teu Deus; eu te fortaleço, e te ajudo, e te sustento com a minha destra fiel.
11 Eis que envergonhados e confundidos serão todos os que estão indignados contra ti; serão reduzidos a nada, e os que contendem contigo perecerão.
12 Aos que pelejam contra ti, buscá-los-ás, porém não os acharás; serão reduzidos a nada e a coisa de nenhum valor os que fazem guerra contra ti.
13 Porque eu, o SENHOR, teu Deus, te tomo pela tua mão direita e te digo: Não temas, que eu te ajudo.
14 Não temas, ó vermezinho de Jacó, povozinho de Israel; eu te ajudo, diz o SENHOR, e o teu Redentor é o Santo de Israel.
15 Eis que farei de ti um trilho cortante e novo, armado de lâminas duplas; os montes trilharás, e moerás, e os outeiros reduzirás a palha.
16 Tu os padejarás, e o vento os levará, e redemoinho os espalhará; tu te alegrarás no SENHOR e te gloriarás no Santo de Israel.
17 Os aflitos e necessitados buscam águas, e não as há, e a sua língua se seca de sede; mas eu, o SENHOR, os ouvirei, eu, o Deus de Israel, não os desampararei.
18 Abrirei rios nos altos desnudos e fontes no meio dos vales; tornarei o deserto em açudes de águas e a terra seca, em mananciais.
19 Plantarei no deserto o cedro, a acácia, a murta e a oliveira; conjuntamente, porei no ermo o cipreste, o olmeiro e o buxo,
20 para que todos vejam e saibam, considerem e juntamente entendam que a mão do SENHOR fez isso, e o Santo de Israel o criou.
21 Apresentai a vossa demanda, diz o SENHOR; alegai as vossas razões, diz o Rei de Jacó.
22 Trazei e anunciai-nos as coisas que hão de acontecer; relatai-nos as profecias anteriores, para que atentemos para elas e saibamos se se cumpriram; ou fazei-nos ouvir as coisas futuras.
23 Anunciai-nos as coisas que ainda hão de vir, para que saibamos que sois deuses; fazei bem ou fazei mal, para que nos assombremos, e juntamente o veremos.
24 Eis que sois menos do que nada, e menos do que nada é o que fazeis; abominação é quem vos escolhe.
25 Do Norte suscito a um, e ele vem, a um desde o nascimento do sol, e ele invocará o meu nome; pisará magistrados como lodo e como o oleiro pisa o barro.
26 Quem anunciou isto desde o princípio, a fim que o possamos saber, antecipadamente, para que digamos: É isso mesmo? Mas não há quem anuncie, nem tampouco quem manifeste, nem ainda quem ouça as vossas palavras.
27 Eu sou o que primeiro disse a Sião: Eis! Ei-los aí! E a Jerusalém dou um mensageiro de boas-novas.
28 Quando eu olho, não há ninguém; nem mesmo entre eles há conselheiro a quem eu pergunte, e me responda.
29 Eis que todos são nada; as suas obras são coisa nenhuma; as suas imagens de fundição, vento e vácuo.
41 Keep silence before me, O islands; and let the people renew their strength: let them come near; then let them speak: let us come near together to judgment. 2 Who raised up the righteous man from the east, called him to his foot, gave the nations before him, and made him rule over kings? he gave them as the dust to his sword, and as driven stubble to his bow. 3 He pursued them, and passed safely; even by the way that he had not gone with his feet. 4 Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the Lord, the first, and with the last; I am he. 5 The isles saw it, and feared; the ends of the earth were afraid, drew near, and came. 6 They helped every one his neighbour; and every one said to his brother, Be of good courage. 7 So the carpenter encouraged the goldsmith, and he that smootheth with the hammer him that smote the anvil, saying, It is ready for the sodering: and he fastened it with nails, that it should not be moved. 8 But thou, Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend. 9 Thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art my servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away. 10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. 11 Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish. 12 Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought. 13 For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee. 14 Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the Lord, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel. 15 Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff. 16 Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the Lord, and shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel. 17 When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the Lord will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them. 18 I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water. 19 I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together: 20 That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the Lord hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it. 21 Produce your cause, saith the Lord; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob. 22 Let them bring them forth, and shew us what shall happen: let them shew the former things, what they be, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or declare us things for to come. 23 Shew the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that ye are gods: yea, do good, or do evil, that we may be dismayed, and behold it together. 24 Behold, ye are of nothing, and your work of nought: an abomination is he that chooseth you. 25 I have raised up one from the north, and he shall come: from the rising of the sun shall he call upon my name: and he shall come upon princes as upon morter, and as the potter treadeth clay. 26 Who hath declared from the beginning, that we may know? and beforetime, that we may say, He is righteous? yea, there is none that sheweth, yea, there is none that declareth, yea, there is none that heareth your words. 27 The first shall say to Zion, Behold, behold them: and I will give to Jerusalem one that bringeth good tidings. 28 For I beheld, and there was no man; even among them, and there was no counsellor, that, when I asked of them, could answer a word. 29 Behold, they are all vanity; their works are nothing: their molten images are wind and confusion.

Deuteronômio 12
1 São estes os estatutos e os juízos que cuidareis de cumprir na terra que vos deu o SENHOR, Deus de vossos pais, para a possuirdes todos os dias que viverdes sobre a terra.
2 Destruireis por completo todos os lugares onde as nações que ides desapossar serviram aos seus deuses, sobre as altas montanhas, sobre os outeiros e debaixo de toda árvore frondosa;
3 deitareis abaixo os seus altares, e despedaçareis as suas colunas, e os seus postes-ídolos queimareis, e despedaçareis as imagens esculpidas dos seus deuses, e apagareis o seu nome daquele lugar.
4 Não fareis assim para com o SENHOR, vosso Deus,
5 mas buscareis o lugar que o SENHOR, vosso Deus, escolher de todas as vossas tribos, para ali pôr o seu nome e sua habitação; e para lá ireis.
6 A esse lugar fareis chegar os vossos holocaustos, e os vossos sacrifícios, e os vossos dízimos, e a oferta das vossas mãos, e as ofertas votivas, e as ofertas voluntárias, e os primogênitos das vossas vacas e das vossas ovelhas.
7 Lá, comereis perante o SENHOR, vosso Deus, e vos alegrareis em tudo o que fizerdes, vós e as vossas casas, no que vos tiver abençoado o SENHOR, vosso Deus.
8 Não procedereis em nada segundo estamos fazendo aqui, cada qual tudo o que bem parece aos seus olhos,
9 porque, até agora, não entrastes no descanso e na herança que vos dá o SENHOR, vosso Deus.
10 Mas passareis o Jordão e habitareis na terra que vos fará herdar o SENHOR, vosso Deus; e vos dará descanso de todos os vossos inimigos em redor, e morareis seguros.
11 Então, haverá um lugar que escolherá o SENHOR, vosso Deus, para ali fazer habitar o seu nome; a esse lugar fareis chegar tudo o que vos ordeno: os vossos holocaustos, e os vossos sacrifícios, e os vossos dízimos, e a oferta das vossas mãos, e toda escolha dos vossos votos feitos ao SENHOR,
12 e vos alegrareis perante o SENHOR, vosso Deus, vós, os vossos filhos, as vossas filhas, os vossos servos, as vossas servas e o levita que mora dentro das vossas cidades e que não tem porção nem herança convosco.
13 Guarda-te, não ofereças os teus holocaustos em todo lugar que vires;
14 mas, no lugar que o SENHOR escolher numa das tuas tribos, ali oferecerás os teus holocaustos e ali farás tudo o que te ordeno.
15 Porém, consoante todo desejo da tua alma, poderás matar e comer carne nas tuas cidades, segundo a bênção do SENHOR, teu Deus; o imundo e o limpo dela comerão, assim como se come da carne do corço e do veado.
16 Tão-somente o sangue não comerás; sobre a terra o derramarás como água.
17 Nas tuas cidades, não poderás comer o dízimo do teu cereal, nem do teu vinho, nem do teu azeite, nem os primogênitos das tuas vacas, nem das tuas ovelhas, nem nenhuma das tuas ofertas votivas, que houveres prometido, nem as tuas ofertas voluntárias, nem as ofertas das tuas mãos;
18 mas o comerás perante o SENHOR, teu Deus, no lugar que o SENHOR, teu Deus, escolher, tu, e teu filho, e tua filha, e teu servo, e tua serva, e o levita que mora na tua cidade; e perante o SENHOR, teu Deus, te alegrarás em tudo o que fizeres.
19 Guarda-te, não desampares o levita todos os teus dias na terra.
20 Quando o SENHOR, teu Deus, alargar o teu território, como te prometeu, e, por desejares comer carne, disseres: Comerei carne, então, segundo o teu desejo, comerás carne.
21 Se estiver longe de ti o lugar que o SENHOR, teu Deus, escolher para nele pôr o seu nome, então, matarás das tuas vacas e tuas ovelhas, que o SENHOR te houver dado, como te ordenei; e comerás dentro da tua cidade, segundo todo o teu desejo.
22 Porém, como se come da carne do corço e do veado, assim comerás destas carnes; destas comerá tanto o homem imundo como o limpo.
23 Somente empenha-te em não comeres o sangue, pois o sangue é a vida; pelo que não comerás a vida com a carne.
24 Não o comerás; na terra o derramarás como água.
25 Não o comerás, para que bem te suceda a ti e a teus filhos, depois de ti, quando fizeres o que é reto aos olhos do SENHOR.
26 Porém tomarás o que houveres consagrado daquilo que te pertence e as tuas ofertas votivas e virás ao lugar que o SENHOR escolher.
27 E oferecerás os teus holocaustos, a carne e o sangue sobre o altar do SENHOR, teu Deus; e o sangue dos teus sacrifícios se derramará sobre o altar do SENHOR, teu Deus; porém a carne comerás.
28 Guarda e cumpre todas estas palavras que te ordeno, para que bem te suceda a ti e a teus filhos, depois de ti, para sempre, quando fizeres o que é bom e reto aos olhos do SENHOR, teu Deus.
29 Quando o SENHOR, teu Deus, eliminar de diante de ti as nações, para as quais vais para possuí-las, e as desapossares e habitares na sua terra,
30 guarda-te, não te enlaces com imitá-las, após terem sido destruídas diante de ti; e que não indagues acerca dos seus deuses, dizendo: Assim como serviram estas nações aos seus deuses, do mesmo modo também farei eu.
31 Não farás assim ao SENHOR, teu Deus, porque tudo o que é abominável ao SENHOR e que ele odeia fizeram eles a seus deuses, pois até seus filhos e suas filhas queimaram aos seus deuses.
32 Tudo o que eu te ordeno observarás; nada lhe acrescentarás, nem diminuirás.
12 These are the statutes and judgments, which ye shall observe to do in the land, which the Lord God of thy fathers giveth thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth. 2 Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree: 3 And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place. 4 Ye shall not do so unto the Lord your God. 5 But unto the place which the Lord your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come: 6 And thither ye shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and heave offerings of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks: 7 And there ye shall eat before the Lord your God, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein the Lord thy God hath blessed thee. 8 Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes. 9 For ye are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which the Lord your God giveth you. 10 But when ye go over Jordan, and dwell in the land which the Lord your God giveth you to inherit, and when he giveth you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety; 11 Then there shall be a place which the Lord your God shall choose to cause his name to dwell there; thither shall ye bring all that I command you; your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto the Lord: 12 And ye shall rejoice before the Lord your God, ye, and your sons, and your daughters, and your menservants, and your maidservants, and the Levite that is within your gates; forasmuch as he hath no part nor inheritance with you. 13 Take heed to thyself that thou offer not thy burnt offerings in every place that thou seest: 14 But in the place which the Lord shall choose in one of thy tribes, there thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, and there thou shalt do all that I command thee. 15 Notwithstanding thou mayest kill and eat flesh in all thy gates, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, according to the blessing of the Lord thy God which he hath given thee: the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as of the roebuck, and as of the hart. 16 Only ye shall not eat the blood; ye shall pour it upon the earth as water. 17 Thou mayest not eat within thy gates the tithe of thy corn, or of thy wine, or of thy oil, or the firstlings of thy herds or of thy flock, nor any of thy vows which thou vowest, nor thy freewill offerings, or heave offering of thine hand: 18 But thou must eat them before the Lord thy God in the place which the Lord thy God shall choose, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates: and thou shalt rejoice before the Lord thy God in all that thou puttest thine hands unto. 19 Take heed to thyself that thou forsake not the Levite as long as thou livest upon the earth. 20 When the Lord thy God shall enlarge thy border, as he hath promised thee, and thou shalt say, I will eat flesh, because thy soul longeth to eat flesh; thou mayest eat flesh, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after. 21 If the place which the Lord thy God hath chosen to put his name there be too far from thee, then thou shalt kill of thy herd and of thy flock, which the Lord hath given thee, as I have commanded thee, and thou shalt eat in thy gates whatsoever thy soul lusteth after. 22 Even as the roebuck and the hart is eaten, so thou shalt eat them: the unclean and the clean shall eat of them alike. 23 Only be sure that thou eat not the blood: for the blood is the life; and thou mayest not eat the life with the flesh. 24 Thou shalt not eat it; thou shalt pour it upon the earth as water. 25 Thou shalt not eat it; that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of the Lord. 26 Only thy holy things which thou hast, and thy vows, thou shalt take, and go unto the place which the Lord shall choose: 27 And thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, the flesh and the blood, upon the altar of the Lord thy God: and the blood of thy sacrifices shall be poured out upon the altar of the Lord thy God, and thou shalt eat the flesh. 28 Observe and hear all these words which I command thee, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee for ever, when thou doest that which is good and right in the sight of the Lord thy God. 29 When the Lord thy God shall cut off the nations from before thee, whither thou goest to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their land; 30 Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise. 31 Thou shalt not do so unto the Lord thy God: for every abomination to the Lord, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods. 32 What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

Salmos 97
1 Reina o SENHOR. Regozije-se a terra, alegrem-se as muitas ilhas.
2 Nuvens e escuridão o rodeiam, justiça e juízo são a base do seu trono.
3 Adiante dele vai um fogo que lhe consome os inimigos em redor.
4 Os seus relâmpagos alumiam o mundo; a terra os vê e estremece.
5 Derretem-se como cera os montes, na presença do SENHOR, na presença do Senhor de toda a terra.
6 Os céus anunciam a sua justiça, e todos os povos vêem a sua glória.
7 Sejam confundidos todos os que servem a imagens de escultura, os que se gloriam de ídolos; prostrem-se diante dele todos os deuses.
8 Sião ouve e se alegra, as filhas de Judá se regozijam, por causa da tua justiça, ó SENHOR.
9 Pois tu, SENHOR, és o Altíssimo sobre toda a terra; tu és sobremodo elevado acima de todos os deuses.
10 Vós que amais o SENHOR, detestai o mal; ele guarda a alma dos seus santos, livra-os da mão dos ímpios.
11 A luz difunde-se para o justo, e a alegria, para os retos de coração.
12 Alegrai-vos no SENHOR, ó justos, e dai louvores ao seu santo nome.
97 The Lord reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof.
2 Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne. 3 A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about. 4 His lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled. 5 The hills melted like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth. 6 The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory. 7 Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship him, all ye gods. 8 Zion heard, and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of thy judgments, O Lord. 9 For thou, Lord, art high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods. 10 Ye that love the Lord, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. 11 Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart. 12 Rejoice in the Lord, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

1 Cantai ao SENHOR um cântico novo, porque ele tem feito maravilhas; a sua destra e o seu braço santo lhe alcançaram a vitória.
2 O SENHOR fez notória a sua salvação; manifestou a sua justiça perante os olhos das nações.
3 Lembrou-se da sua misericórdia e da sua fidelidade para com a casa de Israel; todos os confins da terra viram a salvação do nosso Deus.
4 Celebrai com júbilo ao SENHOR, todos os confins da terra; aclamai, regozijai-vos e cantai louvores.
5 Cantai com harpa louvores ao SENHOR, com harpa e voz de canto;
6 com trombetas e ao som de buzinas, exultai perante o SENHOR, que é rei.
7 Ruja o mar e a sua plenitude, o mundo e os que nele habitam.
8 Os rios batam palmas, e juntos cantem de júbilo os montes,
9 na presença do SENHOR, porque ele vem julgar a terra; julgará o mundo com justiça e os povos, com equidade.
98 O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.
2 The Lord hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen. 3 He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. 4 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise. 5 Sing unto the Lord with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm. 6 With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the Lord, the King. 7 Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. 8 Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together 9 Before the Lord; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.

Isaías 40
1 Consolai, consolai o meu povo, diz o vosso Deus.
2 Falai ao coração de Jerusalém, bradai-lhe que já é findo o tempo da sua milícia, que a sua iniquidade está perdoada e que já recebeu em dobro das mãos do SENHOR por todos os seus pecados.
3 Voz do que clama no deserto: Preparai o caminho do SENHOR; endireitai no ermo vereda a nosso Deus.
4 Todo vale será aterrado, e nivelados, todos os montes e outeiros; o que é tortuoso será retificado, e os lugares escabrosos, aplanados.
5 A glória do SENHOR se manifestará, e toda a carne a verá, pois a boca do SENHOR o disse.
6 Uma voz diz: Clama; e alguém pergunta: Que hei de clamar? Toda a carne é erva, e toda a sua glória, como a flor da erva;
7 seca-se a erva, e caem as flores, soprando nelas o hálito do SENHOR. Na verdade, o povo é erva;
8 seca-se a erva, e cai a sua flor, mas a palavra de nosso Deus permanece eternamente.
9 Tu, ó Sião, que anuncias boas-novas, sobe a um monte alto! Tu, que anuncias boas-novas a Jerusalém, ergue a tua voz fortemente; levanta-a, não temas e dize às cidades de Judá: Eis aí está o vosso Deus!
10 Eis que o SENHOR Deus virá com poder, e o seu braço dominará; eis que o seu galardão está com ele, e diante dele, a sua recompensa.
11 Como pastor, apascentará o seu rebanho; entre os seus braços recolherá os cordeirinhos e os levará no seio; as que amamentam ele guiará mansamente.
12 Quem na concha de sua mão mediu as águas e tomou a medida dos céus a palmos? Quem recolheu na terça parte de um efa o pó da terra e pesou os montes em romana e os outeiros em balança de precisão?
13 Quem guiou o Espírito do SENHOR? Ou, como seu conselheiro, o ensinou?
14 Com quem tomou ele conselho, para que lhe desse compreensão? Quem o instruiu na vereda do juízo, e lhe ensinou sabedoria, e lhe mostrou o caminho de entendimento?
15 Eis que as nações são consideradas por ele como um pingo que cai de um balde e como um grão de pó na balança; as ilhas são como pó fino que se levanta.
16 Nem todo o Líbano basta para queimar, nem os seus animais, para um holocausto.
17 Todas as nações são perante ele como coisa que não é nada; ele as considera menos do que nada, como um vácuo.
18 Com quem comparareis a Deus? Ou que coisa semelhante confrontareis com ele?
19 O artífice funde a imagem, e o ourives a cobre de ouro e cadeias de prata forja para ela.
20 O sacerdote idólatra escolhe madeira que não se corrompe e busca um artífice perito para assentar uma imagem esculpida que não oscile.
21 Acaso, não sabeis? Porventura, não ouvis? Não vos tem sido anunciado desde o princípio? Ou não atentastes para os fundamentos da terra?
22 Ele é o que está assentado sobre a redondeza da terra, cujos moradores são como gafanhotos; é ele quem estende os céus como cortina e os desenrola como tenda para neles habitar;
23 é ele quem reduz a nada os príncipes e torna em nulidade os juízes da terra.
24 Mal foram plantados e semeados, mal se arraigou na terra o seu tronco, já se secam, quando um sopro passa por eles, e uma tempestade os leva como palha.
25 A quem, pois, me comparareis para que eu lhe seja igual? – diz o Santo.
26 Levantai ao alto os olhos e vede. Quem criou estas coisas? Aquele que faz sair o seu exército de estrelas, todas bem contadas, as quais ele chama pelo nome; por ser ele grande em força e forte em poder, nem uma só vem a faltar.
27 Por que, pois, dizes, ó Jacó, e falas, ó Israel: O meu caminho está encoberto ao SENHOR, e o meu direito passa despercebido ao meu Deus?
28 Não sabes, não ouviste que o eterno Deus, o SENHOR, o Criador dos fins da terra, nem se cansa, nem se fatiga? Não se pode esquadrinhar o seu entendimento.
29 Faz forte ao cansado e multiplica as forças ao que não tem nenhum vigor.
30 Os jovens se cansam e se fatigam, e os moços de exaustos caem,
31 mas os que esperam no SENHOR renovam as suas forças, sobem com asas como águias, correm e não se cansam, caminham e não se fatigam.
40 Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. 2 Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the Lord's hand double for all her sins. 3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. 4 Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: 5 And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it. 6 The voice said, Cry. All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field: 7 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the Lord bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass. 8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever. 9 O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God! 10 Behold, the Lord God will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. 11 He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young. 12 Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance? 13 Who hath directed the Spirit of the Lord, or being his counsellor hath taught him? 14 With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding? 15 Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing. 16 And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering. 17 All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity. 18 To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him? 19 The workman melteth a graven image, and the goldsmith spreadeth it over with gold, and casteth silver chains. 20 He that is so impoverished that he hath no oblation chooseth a tree that will not rot; he seeketh unto him a cunning workman to prepare a graven image, that shall not be moved. 21 Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth? 22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in: 23 That bringeth the princes to nothing; he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity. 24 Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble. 25 To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One. 26 Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth. 27 Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the Lord, and my judgment is passed over from my God? 28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. 29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
