Não vos chegueis a ela, para que conheçais o caminho pelo qual haveis de ir, visto que, por tal caminho, nunca passastes antes. 5 Disse Josué ao povo: Santificai-vos, porque amanhã o SENHOR fará maravilhas no meio de vós. 6 E também falou aos sacerdotes, dizendo: Levantai a arca da Aliança e passai adiante do povo. Levantaram, pois, a arca da Aliança e foram andando adiante do povo. 7 Então, disse o SENHOR a Josué: Hoje, começarei a engrandecer-te perante os olhos de todo o Israel, para que saibam que, como fui com Moisés, assim serei contigo. 8 Tu, pois, ordenarás aos sacerdotes que levam a arca da Aliança, dizendo: Ao chegardes à borda das águas do Jordão, parareis aí. 9 Então, disse Josué aos filhos de Israel: Chegai-vos para cá e ouvi as palavras do SENHOR, vosso Deus. 10 Disse mais Josué: Nisto conhecereis que o Deus vivo está no meio de vós e que de todo lançará de diante de vós os cananeus, os heteus, os heveus, os ferezeus, os girgaseus, os amorreus e os jebuseus. 11 Eis que a arca da Aliança do Senhor de toda a terra passa o Jordão diante de vós. 12 Tomai, pois, agora, doze homens das tribos de Israel, um de cada tribo; 13 porque há de acontecer que, assim que as plantas dos pés dos sacerdotes que levam a arca do SENHOR, o Senhor de toda a terra, pousem nas águas do Jordão, serão elas cortadas, a saber, as que vêm de cima, e se amontoarão. 14 Tendo partido o povo das suas tendas, para passar o Jordão, levando os sacerdotes a arca da Aliança diante do povo; 15 e, quando os que levavam a arca chegaram até ao Jordão, e os seus pés se molharam na borda das águas (porque o Jordão transbordava sobre todas as suas ribanceiras, todos os dias da sega), 16 pararam-se as águas que vinham de cima; levantaram-se num montão, mui longe da cidade de Adã, que fica ao lado de Sartã; e as que desciam ao mar da Arabá, que é o mar Salgado, foram de todo cortadas; então, passou o povo defronte de Jericó. 17 Porém os sacerdotes que levavam a arca da Aliança do SENHOR pararam firmes no meio do Jordão, e todo o Israel passou a pé enxuto, atravessando o Jordão. https://www.biblegateway.com/ audio/dramatized/kjv/Josh.3 ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  3 And Joshua rose early in the morning; and they removed from Shittim, and came to Jordan, he and all the children of Israel, and lodged there before they passed over. 2 And it came to pass after three days, that the officers went through the host; 3 And they commanded the people, saying, When ye see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, and the priests the Levites bearing it, then ye shall remove from your place, and go after it. 4 Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure: come not near unto it, that ye may know the way by which ye must go: for ye have not passed this way heretofore. 5 And Joshua said unto the people, Sanctify yourselves: for to morrow the Lord will do wonders among you. 6 And Joshua spake unto the priests, saying, Take up the ark of the covenant, and pass over before the people. Sou eu que falo em justiça, poderoso para salvar. 2 Por que está vermelho o traje, e as tuas vestes, como as daquele que pisa uvas no lagar? 3 O lagar, eu o pisei sozinho, e dos povos nenhum homem se achava comigo; pisei as uvas na minha ira; no meu furor, as esmaguei, e o seu sangue me salpicou as vestes e me manchou o traje todo. 4 Porque o dia da vingança me estava no coração, e o ano dos meus redimidos é chegado. 5 Olhei, e não havia quem me ajudasse, e admirei-me de não haver quem me sustivesse; pelo que o meu próprio braço me trouxe a salvação, e o meu furor me susteve. 6 Na minha ira, pisei os povos, no meu furor, embriaguei-os, derramando por terra o seu sangue. 7 Celebrarei as benignidades do SENHOR e os seus atos gloriosos, segundo tudo o que o SENHOR nos concedeu e segundo a grande bondade para com a casa de Israel, bondade que usou para com eles, segundo as suas misericórdias e segundo a multidão das suas benignidades. 8 Porque ele dizia: Certamente, eles são meu povo, filhos que não mentirão; e se lhes tornou o seu Salvador. 9 Em toda a angústia deles, foi ele angustiado, e o Anjo da sua presença os salvou; pelo seu amor e pela sua compaixão, ele os remiu, os tomou e os conduziu todos os dias da antiguidade. 10 Mas eles foram rebeldes e contristaram o seu Espírito Santo, pelo que se lhes tornou em inimigo e ele mesmo pelejou contra eles. 11 Então, o povo se lembrou dos dias antigos, de Moisés, e disse: Onde está aquele que fez subir do mar o pastor do seu rebanho? Onde está o que pôs nele o seu Espírito Santo? 12 Aquele cujo braço glorioso ele fez andar à mão direita de Moisés? Que fendeu as águas diante deles, criando para si um nome eterno? 13 Aquele que os guiou pelos abismos, como o cavalo no deserto, de modo que nunca tropeçaram? 14 Como o animal que desce aos vales, o Espírito do SENHOR lhes deu descanso. Assim, guiaste o teu povo, para te criares um nome glorioso. 15 Atenta do céu e olha da tua santa e gloriosa habitação. Onde estão o teu zelo e as tuas obras poderosas? A ternura do teu coração e as tuas misericórdias se detêm para comigo! 16 Mas tu és nosso Pai, ainda que Abraão não nos conhece, e Israel não nos reconhece; tu, ó SENHOR, és nosso Pai; nosso Redentor é o teu nome desde a antiguidade. 17 Ó SENHOR, por que nos fazes desviar dos teus caminhos? Por que endureces o nosso coração, para que te não temamos? É irrevogável e determinante também no que concerne, à eternidade.  Porque conforme a escolha em vida, ou a alma de cada um, após a morte, irá permanecer de eternidade a eternidade em trevas no fogo que não se  cessa. Ou, estará de eternidade a eternidade com o Espírito da vida, na Sua Presença. É a verdade.  Sim, o mundo tenta convencer, que o fogo eterno nada mais é, do que falatórios dos povos. Mas.. Ao que tem ouvidos para ouvir.. Ouça.. Foram, pois, e entraram na casa de uma mulher prostituta, cujo nome era Raabe, e pousaram ali. 2 Então, se deu notícia ao rei de Jericó, dizendo: Eis que, esta noite, vieram aqui uns homens dos filhos de Israel para espiar a terra. 3 Mandou, pois, o rei de Jericó dizer a Raabe: Faze sair os homens que vieram a ti e entraram na tua casa, porque vieram espiar toda a terra. 4 A mulher, porém, havia tomado e escondido os dois homens; e disse: É verdade que os dois homens vieram a mim, porém eu não sabia donde eram. 5 Havendo-se de fechar a porta, sendo já escuro, eles saíram; não sei para onde foram; ide após eles depressa, porque os alcançareis. 6 Ela, porém, os fizera subir ao eirado e os escondera entre as canas do linho que havia disposto em ordem no eirado. 7 Foram-se aqueles homens após os espias pelo caminho que dá aos vaus do Jordão; e, havendo saído os que iam após eles, fechou-se a porta. 8 Antes que os espias se deitassem, foi ela ter com eles ao eirado 9 e lhes disse: Bem sei que o SENHOR vos deu esta terra, e que o pavor que infundis caiu sobre nós, e que todos os moradores da terra estão desmaiados. 10 Porque temos ouvido que o SENHOR secou as águas do mar Vermelho diante de vós, quando saíeis do Egito; e também o que fizestes aos dois reis dos amorreus, Seom e Ogue, que estavam além do Jordão, os quais destruístes. 11 Ouvindo isto, desmaiou-nos o coração, e em ninguém mais há ânimo algum, por causa da vossa presença; porque o SENHOR, vosso Deus, é Deus em cima nos céus e embaixo na terra. 12 Agora, pois, jurai-me, vos peço, pelo SENHOR que, assim como usei de misericórdia para convosco, também dela usareis para com a casa de meu pai; e que me dareis um sinal certo 13 de que conservareis a vida a meu pai e a minha mãe, como também a meus irmãos e a minhas irmãs, com tudo o que têm, e de que livrareis a nossa vida da morte. 14 Então, lhe disseram os homens: A nossa vida responderá pela vossa se não denunciardes esta nossa missão; e será, pois, que, dando-nos o SENHOR esta terra, usaremos contigo de misericórdia e de fidelidade. 15 Ela, então, os fez descer por uma corda pela janela, porque a casa em que residia estava sobre o muro da cidade. 16 E disse-lhes: Ide-vos ao monte, para que, porventura, vos não encontrem os perseguidores; escondei-vos lá três dias, até que eles voltem; e, depois, tomareis o vosso caminho. 17 Disseram-lhe os homens: Desobrigados seremos deste teu juramento que nos fizeste jurar, 18 se, vindo nós à terra, não atares este cordão de fio de escarlata à janela por onde nos fizeste descer; e se não recolheres em casa contigo teu pai, e tua mãe, e teus irmãos, e a toda a família de teu pai. 19 Qualquer que sair para fora da porta da tua casa, o seu sangue lhe cairá sobre a cabeça, e nós seremos inocentes; mas o sangue de qualquer que estiver contigo em casa caia sobre a nossa cabeça, se alguém nele puser mão. 20 Também, se tu denunciares esta nossa missão, seremos desobrigados do juramento que nos fizeste jurar. 21 E ela disse: Segundo as vossas palavras, assim seja.
