São estes os nomes de suas filhas: Macla, Noa, Hogla, Milca e Tirza. 2 Apresentaram-se diante de Moisés, e diante de Eleazar, o sacerdote, e diante dos príncipes, e diante de todo o povo, à porta da tenda da congregação, dizendo: 3 Nosso pai morreu no deserto e não estava entre os que se ajuntaram contra o SENHOR no grupo de Corá; mas morreu no seu próprio pecado e não teve filhos. 4 Por que se tiraria o nome de nosso pai do meio da sua família, porquanto não teve filhos? Dá-nos possessão entre os irmãos de nosso pai. 5 Moisés levou a causa delas perante o SENHOR. 6 Disse o SENHOR a Moisés: 7 As filhas de Zelofeade falam o que é justo; certamente, lhes darás possessão de herança entre os irmãos de seu pai e farás passar a elas a herança de seu pai. 8 Falarás aos filhos de Israel, dizendo: Quando alguém morrer e não tiver filho, então, fareis passar a sua herança a sua filha. 9 E, se não tiver filha, então, a sua herança dareis aos irmãos dele. 10 Porém, se não tiver irmãos, dareis a sua herança aos irmãos de seu pai. 11 Se também seu pai não tiver irmãos, dareis a sua herança ao parente mais chegado de sua família, para que a possua; isto aos filhos de Israel será prescrição de direito, como o SENHOR ordenou a Moisés. 12 Depois, disse o SENHOR a Moisés: Sobe a este monte Abarim e vê a terra que dei aos filhos de Israel. 13 E, tendo-a visto, serás recolhido também ao teu povo, assim como o foi teu irmão Arão; 14 porquanto, no deserto de Zim, na contenda da congregação, fostes rebeldes ao meu mandado de me santificar nas águas diante dos seus olhos. São estas as águas de Meribá de Cades, no deserto de Zim. 15 Então, disse Moisés ao SENHOR: 16 O SENHOR, autor e conservador de toda vida, ponha um homem sobre esta congregação 17 que saia adiante deles, e que entre adiante deles, e que os faça sair, e que os faça entrar, para que a congregação do SENHOR não seja como ovelhas que não têm pastor. 18 Disse o SENHOR a Moisés: Toma Josué, filho de Num, homem em quem há o Espírito, e impõe-lhe as mãos; 19 apresenta-o perante Eleazar, o sacerdote, e perante toda a congregação; e dá-lhe, à vista deles, as tuas ordens. 20 Põe sobre ele da tua autoridade, para que lhe obedeça toda a congregação dos filhos de Israel. 21 Apresentar-se-á perante Eleazar, o sacerdote, o qual por ele consultará, segundo o juízo do Urim, perante o SENHOR; segundo a sua palavra, sairão e, segundo a sua palavra, entrarão, ele, e todos os filhos de Israel com ele, e toda a congregação. 22 Fez Moisés como lhe ordenara o SENHOR, porque tomou a Josué e apresentou-o perante Eleazar, o sacerdote, e perante toda a congregação; 23 e lhe impôs as mãos e lhe deu as suas ordens, como o SENHOR falara por intermédio de Moisés. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  27 Then came the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph: and these are the names of his daughters; Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah. 2 And they stood before Moses, and before Eleazar the priest, and before the princes and all the congregation, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying, 3 Our father died in the wilderness, and he was not in the company of them that gathered themselves together against the Lord in the company of Korah; but died in his own sin, and had no sons. 4 Why should the name of our father be done away from among his family, because he hath no son? Give unto us therefore a possession among the brethren of our father. 5 And Moses brought their cause before the Lord. 6 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 7 The daughters of Zelophehad speak right: thou shalt surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father's brethren; and thou shalt cause the inheritance of their father to pass unto them. 8 And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a man die, and have no son, then ye shall cause his inheritance to pass unto his daughter. 9 And if he have no daughter, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his brethren. 10 And if he have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his father's brethren. 11 And if his father have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his kinsman that is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it: and it shall be unto the children of Israel a statute of judgment, as the Lord commanded Moses. 12 And the Lord said unto Moses, Get thee up into this mount Abarim, and see the land which I have given unto the children of Israel. 13 And when thou hast seen it, thou also shalt be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother was gathered. 14 For ye rebelled against my commandment in the desert of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the water before their eyes: that is the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin. 15 And Moses spake unto the Lord, saying, 16 Let the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation, 17 Which may go out before them, and which may go in before them, and which may lead them out, and which may bring them in; that the congregation of the Lord be not as sheep which have no shepherd. 18 And the Lord said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him; 19 And set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight. 20 And thou shalt put some of thine honour upon him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient. 21 And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall ask counsel for him after the judgment of Urim before the Lord: at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation. 22 And Moses did as the Lord commanded him: and he took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation: 23 And he laid his hands upon him, and gave him a charge, as the Lord commanded by the hand of Moses. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Salmos 70 1 Praza-te, ó Deus, em livrar-me; dá-te pressa, ó SENHOR, em socorrer-me. 2 Sejam envergonhados e cobertos de vexame os que me demandam a vida; tornem atrás e cubram-se de ignomínia os que se comprazem no meu mal. 3 Retrocedam por causa da sua ignomínia os que dizem: Bem-feito! Bem-feito! 4 Folguem e em ti se rejubilem todos os que te buscam; e os que amam a tua salvação digam sempre: Deus seja magnificado! 5 Eu sou pobre e necessitado; ó Deus, apressa-te em valer-me, pois tu és o meu amparo e o meu libertador. SENHOR, não te detenhas! ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  70 Make haste, o God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O Lord. 2 Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt. 3 Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, Aha, aha. 4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified. 5 But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O Lord, make no tarrying.  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Salmos 71 1 Em ti, SENHOR, me refugio; não seja eu jamais envergonhado. 2 Livra-me por tua justiça e resgata-me; inclina-me os ouvidos e salva-me. 3 Sê tu para mim uma rocha habitável em que sempre me acolha; ordenaste que eu me salve, pois tu és a minha rocha e a minha fortaleza. 4 Livra-me, Deus meu, das mãos do ímpio, das garras do homem injusto e cruel. 5 Pois tu és a minha esperança, SENHOR Deus, a minha confiança desde a minha mocidade. 6 Em ti me tenho apoiado desde o meu nascimento; do ventre materno tu me tiraste, tu és motivo para os meus louvores constantemente. 7 Para muitos sou como um portento, mas tu és o meu forte refúgio. 8 Os meus lábios estão cheios do teu louvor e da tua glória continuamente. 9 Não me rejeites na minha velhice; quando me faltarem as forças, não me desampares. 10 Pois falam contra mim os meus inimigos; e os que me espreitam a alma consultam reunidos, 11 dizendo: Deus o desamparou; persegui-o e prendei-o, pois não há quem o livre. 12 Não te ausentes de mim, ó Deus; Deus meu, apressa-te em socorrer-me. 13 Sejam envergonhados e consumidos os que são adversários de minha alma; cubram-se de opróbrio e de vexame os que procuram o mal contra mim. 14 Quanto a mim, esperarei sempre e te louvarei mais e mais. 15 A minha boca relatará a tua justiça e de contínuo os feitos da tua salvação, ainda que eu não saiba o seu número. 16 Sinto-me na força do SENHOR Deus; e rememoro a tua justiça, a tua somente. 17 Tu me tens ensinado, ó Deus, desde a minha mocidade; e até agora tenho anunciado as tuas maravilhas. 18 Não me desampares, pois, ó Deus, até à minha velhice e às cãs; até que eu tenha declarado à presente geração a tua força e às vindouras o teu poder. 19 Ora, a tua justiça, ó Deus, se eleva até aos céus. Grandes coisas tens feito, ó Deus; quem é semelhante a ti? 20 Tu, que me tens feito ver muitas angústias e males, me restaurarás ainda a vida e de novo me tirarás dos abismos da terra. 21 Aumenta a minha grandeza, conforta-me novamente. 22 Eu também te louvo com a lira, celebro a tua verdade, ó meu Deus; cantar-te-ei salmos na harpa, ó Santo de Israel. 23 Os meus lábios exultarão quando eu te salmodiar; também exultará a minha alma, que remiste. 24 Igualmente a minha língua celebrará a tua justiça todo o dia; pois estão envergonhados e confundidos os que procuram o mal contra mim. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  71 In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion. 2 Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me. 3 Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress. 4 Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man. 5 For thou art my hope, O Lord God: thou art my trust from my youth. 6 By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee. 7 I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge. 8 Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day. 9 Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth. 10 For mine enemies speak against me; and they that lay wait for my soul take counsel together, 11 Saying, God hath forsaken him: persecute and take him; for there is none to deliver him. 12 O God, be not far from me: O my God, make haste for my help. 13 Let them be confounded and consumed that are adversaries to my soul; let them be covered with reproach and dishonour that seek my hurt. 14 But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more. 15 My mouth shall shew forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers thereof. 16 I will go in the strength of the Lord God: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only. 17 O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works. 18 Now also when I am old and greyheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come. 19 Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high, who hast done great things: O God, who is like unto thee! 20 Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth. 21 Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side. 22 I will also praise thee with the psaltery, even thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel. 23 My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed. 24 My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt.  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Isaías 17 1 Sentença contra Damasco. Eis que Damasco deixará de ser cidade e será um montão de ruínas. 2 As cidades de Aroer serão abandonadas; hão de ser para os rebanhos, que aí se deitarão sem haver quem os espante. 3 A fortaleza de Efraim desaparecerá, como também o reino de Damasco e o restante da Síria; serão como a glória dos filhos de Israel, diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos. 4 Naquele dia, a glória de Jacó será apoucada, e a gordura da sua carne desaparecerá. 5 Será, quando o segador ajunta a cana do trigo e com o braço sega as espigas, como quem colhe espigas, como quem colhe espigas no vale dos Refains. 6 Mas ainda ficarão alguns rabiscos, como no sacudir da oliveira; duas ou três azeitonas na ponta do ramo mais alto, e quatro ou cinco nos ramos mais exteriores de uma árvore frutífera, diz o SENHOR, Deus de Israel. 7 Naquele dia, olhará o homem para o seu Criador, e os seus olhos atentarão para o Santo de Israel. 8 E não olhará para os altares, obra das suas mãos, nem atentará para o que fizeram seus dedos, nem para os postes-ídolos, nem para os altares do incenso. 9 Naquele dia, serão as suas cidades fortes como os lugares abandonados no bosque ou sobre o cimo das montanhas, os quais outrora foram abandonados ante os filhos de Israel, e haverá assolação; 10 porquanto te esqueceste do Deus da tua salvação e não te lembraste da Rocha da tua fortaleza. Ainda que faças plantações formosas e plantes mudas de fora, 11 e, no dia em que as plantares, as fizeres crescer, e na manhã seguinte as fizeres florescer, ainda assim a colheita voará no dia da tribulação e das dores incuráveis. 12 Ai do bramido dos grandes povos que bramam como bramam os mares, e do rugido das nações que rugem como rugem as impetuosas águas! 13 Rugirão as nações, como rugem as muitas águas, mas Deus as repreenderá, e fugirão para longe; serão afugentadas como a palha dos montes diante do vento e como pó levado pelo tufão. 14 Ao anoitecer, eis que há pavor, e, antes que amanheça o dia, já não existem. Este é o quinhão daqueles que nos despojam e a sorte daqueles que nos saqueiam. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  17 The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap. 2 The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid. 3 The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the Lord of hosts. 4 And in that day it shall come to pass, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean. 5 And it shall be as when the harvestman gathereth the corn, and reapeth the ears with his arm; and it shall be as he that gathereth ears in the valley of Rephaim. 6 Yet gleaning grapes shall be left in it, as the shaking of an olive tree, two or three berries in the top of the uppermost bough, four or five in the outmost fruitful branches thereof, saith the Lord God of Israel. 7 At that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel. 8 And he shall not look to the altars, the work of his hands, neither shall respect that which his fingers have made, either the groves, or the images. 9 In that day shall his strong cities be as a forsaken bough, and an uppermost branch, which they left because of the children of Israel: and there shall be desolation. 10 Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips: 11 In the day shalt thou make thy plant to grow, and in the morning shalt thou make thy seed to flourish: but the harvest shall be a heap in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow. 12 Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters! 13 The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind. 14 And behold at eveningtide trouble; and before the morning he is not. This is the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Isaías 18 1 Ai da terra onde há o roçar de muitas asas de insetos, que está além dos rios da Etiópia; 2 que envia embaixadores por mar em navios de papiro sobre as águas, dizendo: Ide, mensageiros velozes, a uma nação de homens altos e de pele brunida, a um povo terrível, de perto e de longe; a uma nação poderosa e esmagadora, cuja terra os rios dividem. 3 Vós, todos os habitantes do mundo, e vós, os moradores da terra, quando se arvorar a bandeira nos montes, olhai; e, quando se tocar a trombeta, escutai. 4 Porque assim me disse o SENHOR: Olhando da minha morada, estarei calmo como o ardor quieto do sol resplandecente, como a nuvem do orvalho no calor da sega. 5 Porque antes da vindima, caída já a flor, e quando as uvas amadurecem, então, podará os sarmentos com a foice e cortará os ramos que se estendem. 6 Serão deixados juntos às aves dos montes e aos animais da terra; sobre eles veranearão as aves de rapina, e todos os animais da terra passarão o inverno sobre eles. 7 Naquele tempo, será levado um presente ao SENHOR dos Exércitos por um povo de homens altos e de pele brunida, povo terrível, de perto e de longe; por uma nação poderosa e esmagadora, cuja terra os rios dividem, ao lugar do nome do SENHOR dos Exércitos, ao monte Sião. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  18 Woe to the land shadowing with wings, which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia: 2 That sendeth ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters, saying, Go, ye swift messengers, to a nation scattered and peeled, to a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden down, whose land the rivers have spoiled! 3 All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see ye, when he lifteth up an ensign on the mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye. 4 For so the Lord said unto me, I will take my rest, and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest. 5 For afore the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down the branches. 6 They shall be left together unto the fowls of the mountains, and to the beasts of the earth: and the fowls shall summer upon them, and all the beasts of the earth shall winter upon them. 7 In that time shall the present be brought unto the Lord of hosts of a people scattered and peeled, and from a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden under foot, whose land the rivers have spoiled, to the place of the name of the Lord of hosts, the mount Zion. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦
