de dois côvados e meio era o seu comprimento, de um côvado e meio, a largura, e, de um côvado e meio, a altura. 2 De ouro puro a cobriu; por dentro e por fora a cobriu e fez uma bordadura de ouro ao redor. 3 Fundiu para ela quatro argolas de ouro e as pôs nos quatro cantos da arca: duas argolas num lado dela e duas argolas noutro lado. 4 Fez também varais de madeira de acácia e os cobriu de ouro; 5 meteu os varais nas argolas aos lados da arca, para se levar por meio deles a arca. 6 Fez também o propiciatório de ouro puro; de dois côvados e meio era o seu comprimento, e a largura, de um côvado e meio. 7 Fez também dois querubins de ouro; de ouro batido os fez, nas duas extremidades do propiciatório. 8 Um querubim, na extremidade de uma parte, e o outro, na extremidade da outra parte; de uma só peça com o propiciatório fez os querubins nas duas extremidades dele. 9 Os querubins estendiam as asas por cima, cobrindo com elas o propiciatório; estavam eles de faces voltadas uma para a outra, olhando para o propiciatório. 10 Fez também a mesa de madeira de acácia; tinha o comprimento de dois côvados, a largura, de um côvado, e a altura, de um côvado e meio. 11 De ouro puro a cobriu e lhe fez uma bordadura de ouro ao redor. 12 Também lhe fez moldura ao redor, na largura de quatro dedos, e lhe fez uma bordadura de ouro ao redor da moldura. 13 Também lhe fundiu quatro argolas de ouro e pôs as argolas nos quatro cantos que estavam nos seus quatro pés. 14 Perto da moldura estavam as argolas, como lugares para os varais, para se levar a mesa. 15 Fez os varais de madeira de acácia e os cobriu de ouro, para se levar a mesa. 16 Também fez de ouro puro os utensílios que haviam de estar sobre a mesa: os seus pratos, e os seus recipientes para incenso, e as suas galhetas, e as suas taças em que se haviam de oferecer libações. 17 Fez também o candelabro de ouro puro; de ouro batido o fez; o seu pedestal, a sua hástea, os seus cálices, as suas maçanetas e as suas flores formavam com ele uma só peça. 18 Seis hásteas saíam dos seus lados; três de um lado e três do outro. 19 Numa hástea havia três cálices com formato de amêndoas, uma maçaneta e uma flor; e três cálices com formato de amêndoas na outra hástea, uma maçaneta e uma flor; assim eram as seis hásteas que saíam do candelabro. 20 Mas no candelabro mesmo havia quatro cálices com formato de amêndoas, com suas maçanetas e com suas flores. 21 Havia uma maçaneta sob duas hásteas que saíam dele; e ainda uma maçaneta sob duas outras hásteas que saíam dele; e ainda mais uma maçaneta sob duas outras hásteas que saíam dele; assim se fez com as seis hásteas que saíam do candelabro. 22 As suas maçanetas e as suas hásteas eram do mesmo; tudo era de uma só peça, obra batida de ouro puro. 23 Também lhe fez sete lâmpadas; as suas espevitadeiras e os seus apagadores eram de ouro puro. 24 De um talento de ouro puro se fez o candelabro com todos os seus utensílios. 25 Fez de madeira de acácia o altar do incenso; tinha um côvado de comprimento, e um de largura (era quadrado), e dois de altura; os chifres formavam uma só peça com ele. 26 De ouro puro o cobriu, a parte superior, as paredes ao redor e os chifres; e lhe fez uma bordadura de ouro ao redor. 27 Também lhe fez duas argolas de ouro debaixo da bordadura, de ambos os lados as fez; nelas, se meteram os varais para se levar o altar; 28 de madeira de acácia fez os varais e os cobriu de ouro. 29 Fez também o óleo santo da unção e o incenso aromático, puro, de obra de perfumista. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  37 And Bezaleel made the ark of shittim wood: two cubits and a half was the length of it, and a cubit and a half the breadth of it, and a cubit and a half the height of it: 2 And he overlaid it with pure gold within and without, and made a crown of gold to it round about. 3 And he cast for it four rings of gold, to be set by the four corners of it; even two rings upon the one side of it, and two rings upon the other side of it. 4 And he made staves of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold. 5 And he put the staves into the rings by the sides of the ark, to bear the ark. 6 And he made the mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half was the length thereof, and one cubit and a half the breadth thereof. 7 And he made two cherubims of gold, beaten out of one piece made he them, on the two ends of the mercy seat; 8 One cherub on the end on this side, and another cherub on the other end on that side: out of the mercy seat made he the cherubims on the two ends thereof. 9 And the cherubims spread out their wings on high, and covered with their wings over the mercy seat, with their faces one to another; even to the mercy seatward were the faces of the cherubims. 10 And he made the table of shittim wood: two cubits was the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof: 11 And he overlaid it with pure gold, and made thereunto a crown of gold round about. 12 Also he made thereunto a border of an handbreadth round about; and made a crown of gold for the border thereof round about. 13 And he cast for it four rings of gold, and put the rings upon the four corners that were in the four feet thereof. 14 Over against the border were the rings, the places for the staves to bear the table. 15 And he made the staves of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold, to bear the table. 16 And he made the vessels which were upon the table, his dishes, and his spoons, and his bowls, and his covers to cover withal, of pure gold. 17 And he made the candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work made he the candlestick; his shaft, and his branch, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, were of the same: 18 And six branches going out of the sides thereof; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side thereof, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side thereof: 19 Three bowls made after the fashion of almonds in one branch, a knop and a flower; and three bowls made like almonds in another branch, a knop and a flower: so throughout the six branches going out of the candlestick. 20 And in the candlestick were four bowls made like almonds, his knops, and his flowers: 21 And a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, according to the six branches going out of it. 22 Their knops and their branches were of the same: all of it was one beaten work of pure gold. 23 And he made his seven lamps, and his snuffers, and his snuffdishes, of pure gold. 24 Of a talent of pure gold made he it, and all the vessels thereof. 25 And he made the incense altar of shittim wood: the length of it was a cubit, and the breadth of it a cubit; it was foursquare; and two cubits was the height of it; the horns thereof were of the same. 26 And he overlaid it with pure gold, both the top of it, and the sides thereof round about, and the horns of it: also he made unto it a crown of gold round about. 27 And he made two rings of gold for it under the crown thereof, by the two corners of it, upon the two sides thereof, to be places for the staves to bear it withal. 28 And he made the staves of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold. 29 And he made the holy anointing oil, and the pure incense of sweet spices, according to the work of the apothecary. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  João 17 1 Tendo Jesus falado estas coisas, levantou os olhos ao céu e disse: Pai, é chegada a hora; glorifica a teu Filho, para que o Filho te glorifique a ti, 2 assim como lhe conferiste autoridade sobre toda a carne, a fim de que ele conceda a vida eterna a todos os que lhe deste. 3 E a vida eterna é esta: que te conheçam a ti, o único Deus verdadeiro, e a Jesus Cristo, a quem enviaste. 4 Eu te glorifiquei na terra, consumando a obra que me confiaste para fazer; 5 e, agora, glorifica-me, ó Pai, contigo mesmo, com a glória que eu tive junto de ti, antes que houvesse mundo. 6 Manifestei o teu nome aos homens que me deste do mundo. Eram teus, tu mos confiaste, e eles têm guardado a tua palavra. 7 Agora, eles reconhecem que todas as coisas que me tens dado provêm de ti; 8 porque eu lhes tenho transmitido as palavras que me deste, e eles as receberam, e verdadeiramente conheceram que saí de ti, e creram que tu me enviaste. 9 É por eles que eu rogo; não rogo pelo mundo, mas por aqueles que me deste, porque são teus; 10 ora, todas as minhas coisas são tuas, e as tuas coisas são minhas; e, neles, eu sou glorificado. 11 Já não estou no mundo, mas eles continuam no mundo, ao passo que eu vou para junto de ti. Pai santo, guarda-os em teu nome, que me deste, para que eles sejam um, assim como nós. 12 Quando eu estava com eles, guardava-os no teu nome, que me deste, e protegi-os, e nenhum deles se perdeu, exceto o filho da perdição, para que se cumprisse a Escritura. 13 Mas, agora, vou para junto de ti e isto falo no mundo para que eles tenham o meu gozo completo em si mesmos. 14 Eu lhes tenho dado a tua palavra, e o mundo os odiou, porque eles não são do mundo, como também eu não sou. 15 Não peço que os tires do mundo, e sim que os guardes do mal. 16 Eles não são do mundo, como também eu não sou. 17 Santifica-os na verdade; a tua palavra é a verdade. 18 Assim como tu me enviaste ao mundo, também eu os enviei ao mundo. 19 E a favor deles eu me santifico a mim mesmo, para que eles também sejam santificados na verdade. 20 Não rogo somente por estes, mas também por aqueles que vierem a crer em mim, por intermédio da sua palavra; 21 a fim de que todos sejam um; e como és tu, ó Pai, em mim e eu em ti, também sejam eles em nós; para que o mundo creia que tu me enviaste. 22 Eu lhes tenho transmitido a glória que me tens dado, para que sejam um, como nós o somos; 23 eu neles, e tu em mim, a fim de que sejam aperfeiçoados na unidade, para que o mundo conheça que tu me enviaste e os amaste, como também amaste a mim. 24 Pai, a minha vontade é que onde eu estou, estejam também comigo os que me deste, para que vejam a minha glória que me conferiste, porque me amaste antes da fundação do mundo. 25 Pai justo, o mundo não te conheceu; eu, porém, te conheci, e também estes compreenderam que tu me enviaste. 26 Eu lhes fiz conhecer o teu nome e ainda o farei conhecer, a fim de que o amor com que me amaste esteja neles, e eu neles esteja. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  17 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: 2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. 3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. 4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. 5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. 6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. 7 Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. 8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me. 9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. 10 And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. 11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. 12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. 13 And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. 14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. 18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. 20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; 21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: 23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. 24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world. 25 O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me. 26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Provérbios 14 1 A mulher sábia edifica a sua casa, mas a insensata, com as próprias mãos, a derriba. 2 O que anda na retidão teme ao SENHOR, mas o que anda em caminhos tortuosos, esse o despreza. 3 Está na boca do insensato a vara para a sua própria soberba, mas os lábios do prudente o preservarão. 4 Não havendo bois, o celeiro fica limpo, mas pela força do boi há abundância de colheitas. 5 A testemunha verdadeira não mente, mas a falsa se desboca em mentiras. 6 O escarnecedor procura a sabedoria e não a encontra, mas para o prudente o conhecimento é fácil. 7 Foge da presença do homem insensato, porque nele não divisarás lábios de conhecimento. 8 A sabedoria do prudente é entender o seu próprio caminho, mas a estultícia dos insensatos é enganadora. 9 Os loucos zombam do pecado, mas entre os retos há boa vontade. 10 O coração conhece a sua própria amargura, e da sua alegria não participará o estranho. 11 A casa dos perversos será destruída, mas a tenda dos retos florescerá. 12 Há caminho que ao homem parece direito, mas ao cabo dá em caminhos de morte. 13 Até no riso tem dor o coração, e o fim da alegria é tristeza. 14 O infiel de coração dos seus próprios caminhos se farta, como do seu próprio proceder, o homem de bem. 15 O simples dá crédito a toda palavra, mas o prudente atenta para os seus passos. 16 O sábio é cauteloso e desvia-se do mal, mas o insensato encoleriza-se e dá-se por seguro. 17 O que presto se ira faz loucuras, e o homem de maus desígnios é odiado. 18 Os simples herdam a estultícia, mas os prudentes se coroam de conhecimento. 19 Os maus inclinam-se perante a face dos bons, e os perversos, junto às portas do justo. 20 O pobre é odiado até do vizinho, mas o rico tem muitos amigos. 21 O que despreza ao seu vizinho peca, mas o que se compadece dos pobres é feliz. 22 Acaso, não erram os que maquinam o mal? Mas amor e fidelidade haverá para os que planejam o bem. 23 Em todo trabalho há proveito; meras palavras, porém, levam à penúria. 24 Aos sábios a riqueza é coroa, mas a estultícia dos insensatos não passa de estultícia. 25 A testemunha verdadeira livra almas, mas o que se desboca em mentiras é enganador. 26 No temor do SENHOR, tem o homem forte amparo, e isso é refúgio para os seus filhos. 27 O temor do SENHOR é fonte de vida para evitar os laços da morte. 28 Na multidão do povo, está a glória do rei, mas, na falta de povo, a ruína do príncipe. 29 O longânimo é grande em entendimento, mas o de ânimo precipitado exalta a loucura. 30 O ânimo sereno é a vida do corpo, mas a inveja é a podridão dos ossos. 31 O que oprime ao pobre insulta aquele que o criou, mas a este honra o que se compadece do necessitado. 32 Pela sua malícia é derribado o perverso, mas o justo, ainda morrendo, tem esperança. 33 No coração do prudente, repousa a sabedoria, mas o que há no interior dos insensatos vem a lume. 34 A justiça exalta as nações, mas o pecado é o opróbrio dos povos. 35 O servo prudente goza do favor do rei, mas o que procede indignamente é objeto do seu furor. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  14 Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands. 2 He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the Lord: but he that is perverse in his ways despiseth him. 3 In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them. 4 Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox. 5 A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies. 6 A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth. 7 Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge. 8 The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit. 9 Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour. 10 The heart knoweth his own bitterness; and a stranger doth not intermeddle with his joy. 11 The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish. 12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. 13 Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth is heaviness. 14 The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself. 15 The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going. 16 A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident. 17 He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated. 18 The simple inherit folly: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge. 19 The evil bow before the good; and the wicked at the gates of the righteous. 20 The poor is hated even of his own neighbour: but the rich hath many friends. 21 He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he. 22 Do they not err that devise evil? but mercy and truth shall be to them that devise good. 23 In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury. 24 The crown of the wise is their riches: but the foolishness of fools is folly. 25 A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies. 26 In the fear of the Lord is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge. 27 The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death. 28 In the multitude of people is the king's honour: but in the want of people is the destruction of the prince. 29 He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly. 30 A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones. 31 He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor. 32 The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death. 33 Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding: but that which is in the midst of fools is made known. 34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. 35 The king's favour is toward a wise servant: but his wrath is against him that causeth shame. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦
