LEITURA Bíblia Sagrada Versão - João Ferreira de Almeida - 2ª edição PT-BR King James Version      Êxodo 39 João 19  Provérbios 16 LEITURA  29º DIA  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Êxodo 39 1 Fizeram também de estofo azul, púrpura e carmesim as vestes, finamente tecidas, para ministrar no santuário, e também fizeram as vestes sagradas para Arão, como o SENHOR ordenara a Moisés. 2 Fizeram a estola sacerdotal de ouro, estofo azul, púrpura, carmesim e linho fino retorcido. 3 De ouro batido fizeram lâminas delgadas e as cortaram em fios, para permearem entre o estofo azul, a púrpura, o carmesim e o linho fino da obra de desenhista. 4 Tinha duas ombreiras que se ajuntavam às suas duas extremidades, e assim se uniam. 5 O cinto de obra esmerada, que estava sobre a estola sacerdotal, era de obra igual, da mesma obra de ouro, estofo azul, púrpura, carmesim e linho fino retorcido, segundo o SENHOR ordenara a Moisés. 6 Também se prepararam as pedras de ônix, engastadas em ouro, trabalhadas como lavores de sinete, com os nomes dos filhos de Israel, 7 e as puseram nas ombreiras da estola sacerdotal, por pedras de memória aos filhos de Israel, segundo o SENHOR ordenara a Moisés. 8 Fizeram também o peitoral de obra esmerada, conforme a obra da estola sacerdotal: de ouro, estofo azul, púrpura, carmesim e linho fino retorcido. 9 Era quadrado; duplo fizeram o peitoral: de um palmo era o seu comprimento, e de um palmo dobrado, a sua largura. 10 Colocaram, nele, engastes de pedras, com quatro ordens de pedras: a ordem de sárdio, topázio e carbúnculo era a primeira; 11 a segunda ordem era de esmeralda, safira e diamante; 12 a terceira ordem era de jacinto, ágata e ametista; 13 e a quarta ordem era de berilo, ônix e jaspe; eram elas guarnecidas de ouro nos seus engastes. 14 As pedras eram conforme os nomes dos filhos de Israel, doze segundo os seus nomes; eram esculpidas como sinete, cada uma com o seu nome para as doze tribos. 15 E fizeram para o peitoral correntes como cordas, de obra trançada de ouro puro. 16 Também fizeram para o peitoral dois engastes de ouro e duas argolas de ouro; e puseram as duas argolas nas extremidades do peitoral. 17 E meteram as duas correntes trançadas de ouro nas duas argolas, nas extremidades do peitoral. 18 As outras duas pontas das duas correntes trançadas meteram nos dois engastes e as puseram nas ombreiras da estola sacerdotal, na frente dele. 19 Fizeram também duas argolas de ouro e as puseram nas duas extremidades do peitoral, na sua orla interior oposta à estola sacerdotal. 20 Fizeram também mais duas argolas de ouro e as puseram nas duas ombreiras da estola sacerdotal, abaixo, na frente dele, perto da sua juntura, sobre o cinto de obra esmerada da estola sacerdotal. 21 E ligaram o peitoral com as suas argolas às argolas da estola sacerdotal, por cima com uma fita azul, para que estivesse sobre o cinto de obra esmerada da estola sacerdotal, e nunca o peitoral se separasse da estola sacerdotal, segundo o SENHOR ordenara a Moisés. 22 Fizeram também a sobrepeliz da estola sacerdotal, de obra tecida, toda de estofo azul. 23 No meio dela havia uma abertura; era debruada como abertura de uma saia de malha, para que se não rompesse. 24 Em toda a orla da sobrepeliz, fizeram romãs de estofo azul, carmesim e linho retorcido. 25 Fizeram campainhas de ouro puro e as colocaram no meio das romãs em toda a orla da sobrepeliz; 26 uma campainha e uma romã, outra campainha e outra romã, em toda a orla da sobrepeliz, para se usar ao ministrar, segundo o SENHOR ordenara a Moisés. 27 Fizeram também as túnicas de linho fino, de obra tecida, para Arão e para seus filhos, 28 e a mitra de linho fino, e as tiaras de linho fino, e os calções de linho fino retorcido, 29 e o cinto de linho fino retorcido, e de estofo azul, e de púrpura, e de carmesim, obra de bordador, segundo o SENHOR ordenara a Moisés. 30 Também fizeram de ouro puro a lâmina da coroa sagrada e, nela, gravaram à maneira de gravuras de sinete: Santidade ao SENHOR. 31 E ataram-na com um cordão de estofo azul, para prender a lâmina à parte superior da mitra, segundo o SENHOR ordenara a Moisés. 32 Assim se concluiu toda a obra do tabernáculo da tenda da congregação; e os filhos de Israel fizeram tudo segundo o SENHOR tinha ordenado a Moisés; assim o fizeram. 33 Depois, trouxeram a Moisés o tabernáculo, a tenda e todos os seus pertences, os seus colchetes, as suas tábuas, as suas vergas, as suas colunas e as suas bases; 34 a coberta de peles de carneiro tintas de vermelho, e a coberta de peles finas, e o véu do reposteiro; 35 a arca do Testemunho, e os seus varais, e o propiciatório; 36 a mesa com todos os seus utensílios e os pães da proposição; 37 o candelabro de ouro puro com suas lâmpadas; as lâmpadas colocadas em ordem, e todos os seus utensílios, e o azeite para a iluminação; 38 também o altar de ouro, e o óleo da unção, e o incenso aromático, e o reposteiro da porta da tenda; 39 o altar de bronze, e a sua grelha de bronze, e os seus varais, e todos os seus utensílios, e a bacia, e o seu suporte; 40 as cortinas do átrio, e as suas colunas, e as suas bases, e o reposteiro para a porta do átrio, e as suas cordas, e os seus pregos, e todos os utensílios do serviço do tabernáculo, para a tenda da congregação; 41 as vestes finamente tecidas para ministrar no santuário, e as vestes sagradas do sacerdote Arão, e as vestes de seus filhos, para oficiarem como sacerdotes. 42 Tudo segundo o SENHOR ordenara a Moisés, assim fizeram os filhos de Israel toda a obra. 43 Viu, pois, Moisés toda a obra, e eis que a tinham feito segundo o SENHOR havia ordenado; assim a fizeram, e Moisés os abençoou. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  39 And of the blue, and purple, and scarlet, they made cloths of service, to do service in the holy place, and made the holy garments for Aaron; as the Lord commanded Moses. 2 And he made the ephod of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen. 3 And they did beat the gold into thin plates, and cut it into wires, to work it in the blue, and in the purple, and in the scarlet, and in the fine linen, with cunning work. 4 They made shoulderpieces for it, to couple it together: by the two edges was it coupled together. 5 And the curious girdle of his ephod, that was upon it, was of the same, according to the work thereof; of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen; as the Lord commanded Moses. 6 And they wrought onyx stones inclosed in ouches of gold, graven, as signets are graven, with the names of the children of Israel. 7 And he put them on the shoulders of the ephod, that they should be stones for a memorial to the children of Israel; as the Lord commanded Moses. 8 And he made the breastplate of cunning work, like the work of the ephod; of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen. 9 It was foursquare; they made the breastplate double: a span was the length thereof, and a span the breadth thereof, being doubled. 10 And they set in it four rows of stones: the first row was a sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle: this was the first row. 11 And the second row, an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond. 12 And the third row, a ligure, an agate, and an amethyst. 13 And the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper: they were inclosed in ouches of gold in their inclosings. 14 And the stones were according to the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a signet, every one with his name, according to the twelve tribes. 15 And they made upon the breastplate chains at the ends, of wreathen work of pure gold. 16 And they made two ouches of gold, and two gold rings; and put the two rings in the two ends of the breastplate. 17 And they put the two wreathen chains of gold in the two rings on the ends of the breastplate. 18 And the two ends of the two wreathen chains they fastened in the two ouches, and put them on the shoulderpieces of the ephod, before it. 19 And they made two rings of gold, and put them on the two ends of the breastplate, upon the border of it, which was on the side of the ephod inward. 20 And they made two other golden rings, and put them on the two sides of the ephod underneath, toward the forepart of it, over against the other coupling thereof, above the curious girdle of the ephod. 21 And they did bind the breastplate by his rings unto the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it might be above the curious girdle of the ephod, and that the breastplate might not be loosed from the ephod; as the Lord commanded Moses. 22 And he made the robe of the ephod of woven work, all of blue. 23 And there was an hole in the midst of the robe, as the hole of an habergeon, with a band round about the hole, that it should not rend. 24 And they made upon the hems of the robe pomegranates of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and twined linen. 25 And they made bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates upon the hem of the robe, round about between the pomegranates; 26 A bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, round about the hem of the robe to minister in; as the Lord commanded Moses. 27 And they made coats of fine linen of woven work for Aaron, and for his sons, 28 And a mitre of fine linen, and goodly bonnets of fine linen, and linen breeches of fine twined linen, 29 And a girdle of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, of needlework; as the Lord commanded Moses. 30 And they made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote upon it a writing, like to the engravings of a signet, Holiness To The Lord. 31 And they tied unto it a lace of blue, to fasten it on high upon the mitre; as the Lord commanded Moses. 32 Thus was all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation finished: and the children of Israel did according to all that the Lord commanded Moses, so did they. 33 And they brought the tabernacle unto Moses, the tent, and all his furniture, his taches, his boards, his bars, and his pillars, and his sockets, 34 And the covering of rams' skins dyed red, and the covering of badgers' skins, and the vail of the covering, 35 The ark of the testimony, and the staves thereof, and the mercy seat, 36 The table, and all the vessels thereof, and the shewbread, 37 The pure candlestick, with the lamps thereof, even with the lamps to be set in order, and all the vessels thereof, and the oil for light, 38 And the golden altar, and the anointing oil, and the sweet incense, and the hanging for the tabernacle door, 39 The brasen altar, and his grate of brass, his staves, and all his vessels, the laver and his foot, 40 The hangings of the court, his pillars, and his sockets, and the hanging for the court gate, his cords, and his pins, and all the vessels of the service of the tabernacle, for the tent of the congregation, 41 The cloths of service to do service in the holy place, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and his sons' garments, to minister in the priest's office. 42 According to all that the Lord commanded Moses, so the children of Israel made all the work. 43 And Moses did look upon all the work, and, behold, they had done it as the Lord had commanded, even so had they done it: and Moses blessed them. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  João 19 1 Então, por isso, Pilatos tomou a Jesus e mandou açoitá-lo. 2 Os soldados, tendo tecido uma coroa de espinhos, puseram-lha na cabeça e vestiram-no com um manto de púrpura. 3 Chegavam-se a ele e diziam: Salve, rei dos judeus! E davam-lhe bofetadas. 4 Outra vez saiu Pilatos e lhes disse: Eis que eu vo-lo apresento, para que saibais que eu não acho nele crime algum. 5 Saiu, pois, Jesus trazendo a coroa de espinhos e o manto de púrpura. Disse-lhes Pilatos: Eis o homem! 6 Ao verem-no, os principais sacerdotes e os seus guardas gritaram: Crucifica-o! Crucifica-o! Disse-lhes Pilatos: Tomai-o vós outros e crucificai-o; porque eu não acho nele crime algum. 7 Responderam-lhe os judeus: Temos uma lei, e, de conformidade com a lei, ele deve morrer, porque a si mesmo se fez Filho de Deus. 8 Pilatos, ouvindo tal declaração, ainda mais atemorizado ficou, 9 e, tornando a entrar no pretório, perguntou a Jesus: Donde és tu? Mas Jesus não lhe deu resposta. 10 Então, Pilatos o advertiu: Não me respondes? Não sabes que tenho autoridade para te soltar e autoridade para te crucificar? 11 Respondeu Jesus: Nenhuma autoridade terias sobre mim, se de cima não te fosse dada; por isso, quem me entregou a ti maior pecado tem. 12 A partir deste momento, Pilatos procurava soltá-lo, mas os judeus clamavam: Se soltas a este, não és amigo de César! Todo aquele que se faz rei é contra César! 13 Ouvindo Pilatos estas palavras, trouxe Jesus para fora e sentou-se no tribunal, no lugar chamado Pavimento, no hebraico Gabatá. 14 E era a parasceve pascal, cerca da hora sexta; e disse aos judeus: Eis aqui o vosso rei. 15 Eles, porém, clamavam: Fora! Fora! Crucifica-o! Disse-lhes Pilatos: Hei de crucificar o vosso rei? Responderam os principais sacerdotes: Não temos rei, senão César! 16 Então, Pilatos o entregou para ser crucificado. 17 Tomaram eles, pois, a Jesus; e ele próprio, carregando a sua cruz, saiu para o lugar chamado Calvário, Gólgota em hebraico, 18 onde o crucificaram e com ele outros dois, um de cada lado, e Jesus no meio. 19 Pilatos escreveu também um título e o colocou no cimo da cruz; o que estava escrito era: JESUS NAZARENO, O REI DOS JUDEUS. 20 Muitos judeus leram este título, porque o lugar em que Jesus fora crucificado era perto da cidade; e estava escrito em hebraico, latim e grego. 21 Os principais sacerdotes diziam a Pilatos: Não escrevas: Rei dos judeus, e sim que ele disse: Sou o rei dos judeus. 22 Respondeu Pilatos: O que escrevi escrevi. 23 Os soldados, pois, quando crucificaram Jesus, tomaram-lhe as vestes e fizeram quatro partes, para cada soldado uma parte; e pegaram também a túnica. A túnica, porém, era sem costura, toda tecida de alto a baixo. 24 Disseram, pois, uns aos outros: Não a rasguemos, mas lancemos sortes sobre ela para ver a quem caberá – para se cumprir a Escritura: Repartiram entre si as minhas vestes e sobre a minha túnica lançaram sortes. Assim, pois, o fizeram os soldados. 25 E junto à cruz estavam a mãe de Jesus, e a irmã dela, e Maria, mulher de Clopas, e Maria Madalena. 26 Vendo Jesus sua mãe e junto a ela o discípulo amado, disse: Mulher, eis aí teu filho. 27 Depois, disse ao discípulo: Eis aí tua mãe. Dessa hora em diante, o discípulo a tomou para casa. 28 Depois, vendo Jesus que tudo já estava consumado, para se cumprir a Escritura, disse: Tenho sede! 29 Estava ali um vaso cheio de vinagre. Embeberam de vinagre uma esponja e, fixando-a num caniço de hissopo, lha chegaram à boca. 30 Quando, pois, Jesus tomou o vinagre, disse: Está consumado! E, inclinando a cabeça, rendeu o espírito. 31 Então, os judeus, para que no sábado não ficassem os corpos na cruz, visto como era a preparação, pois era grande o dia daquele sábado, rogaram a Pilatos que se lhes quebrassem as pernas, e fossem tirados. 32 Os soldados foram e quebraram as pernas ao primeiro e ao outro que com ele tinham sido crucificados; 33 chegando-se, porém, a Jesus, como vissem que já estava morto, não lhe quebraram as pernas. 34 Mas um dos soldados lhe abriu o lado com uma lança, e logo saiu sangue e água. 35 Aquele que isto viu testificou, sendo verdadeiro o seu testemunho; e ele sabe que diz a verdade, para que também vós creiais. 36 E isto aconteceu para se cumprir a Escritura: Nenhum dos seus ossos será quebrado. 37 E outra vez diz a Escritura: Eles verão aquele a quem traspassaram. 38 Depois disto, José de Arimatéia, que era discípulo de Jesus, ainda que ocultamente pelo receio que tinha dos judeus, rogou a Pilatos lhe permitisse tirar o corpo de Jesus. Pilatos lho permitiu. Então, foi José de Arimatéia e retirou o corpo de Jesus. 39 E também Nicodemos, aquele que anteriormente viera ter com Jesus à noite, foi, levando cerca de cem libras de um composto de mirra e aloés. 40 Tomaram, pois, o corpo de Jesus e o envolveram em lençóis com os aromas, como é de uso entre os judeus na preparação para o sepulcro. 41 No lugar onde Jesus fora crucificado, havia um jardim, e neste, um sepulcro novo, no qual ninguém tinha sido ainda posto. 42 Ali, pois, por causa da preparação dos judeus e por estar perto o túmulo, depositaram o corpo de Jesus. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  19 Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him. 2 And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe, 3 And said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they smote him with their hands. 4 Pilate therefore went forth again, and saith unto them, Behold, I bring him forth to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in him. 5 Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man! 6 When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him: for I find no fault in him. 7 The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God. 8 When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he was the more afraid; 9 And went again into the judgment hall, and saith unto Jesus, Whence art thou? But Jesus gave him no answer. 10 Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee? 11 Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin. 12 And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Caesar's friend: whosoever maketh himself a king speaketh against Caesar. 13 When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha. 14 And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King! 15 But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar. 16 Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away. 17 And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha: 18 Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst. 19 And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was Jesus Of Nazareth The King Of The Jews. 20 This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin. 21 Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews. 22 Pilate answered, What I have written I have written. 23 Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout. 24 They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did. 25 Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene. 26 When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! 27 Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home. 28 After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst. 29 Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth. 30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. 31 The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. 32 Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with him. 33 But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs: 34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water. 35 And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe. 36 For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken. 37 And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced. 38 And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus. 39 And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight. 40 Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury. 41 Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre, wherein was never man yet laid. 42 There laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews' preparation day; for the sepulchre was nigh at hand. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  Provérbios 16 1 O coração do homem pode fazer planos, mas a resposta certa dos lábios vem do SENHOR. 2 Todos os caminhos do homem são puros aos seus olhos, mas o SENHOR pesa o espírito. 3 Confia ao SENHOR as tuas obras, e os teus desígnios serão estabelecidos. 4 O SENHOR fez todas as coisas para determinados fins e até o perverso, para o dia da calamidade. 5 Abominável é ao SENHOR todo arrogante de coração; é evidente que não ficará impune. 6 Pela misericórdia e pela verdade, se expia a culpa; e pelo temor do SENHOR os homens evitam o mal. 7 Sendo o caminho dos homens agradável ao SENHOR, este reconcilia com eles os seus inimigos. 8 Melhor é o pouco, havendo justiça, do que grandes rendimentos com injustiça. 9 O coração do homem traça o seu caminho, mas o SENHOR lhe dirige os passos. 10 Nos lábios do rei se acham decisões autorizadas; no julgar não transgrida, pois, a sua boca. 11 Peso e balança justos pertencem ao SENHOR; obra sua são todos os pesos da bolsa. 12 A prática da impiedade é abominável para os reis, porque com justiça se estabelece o trono. 13 Os lábios justos são o contentamento do rei, e ele ama o que fala coisas retas. 14 O furor do rei são uns mensageiros de morte, mas o homem sábio o apazigua. 15 O semblante alegre do rei significa vida, e a sua benevolência é como a nuvem que traz chuva serôdia. 16 Quanto melhor é adquirir a sabedoria do que o ouro! E mais excelente, adquirir a prudência do que a prata! 17 O caminho dos retos é desviar-se do mal; o que guarda o seu caminho preserva a sua alma. 18 A soberba precede a ruína, e a altivez do espírito, a queda. 19 Melhor é ser humilde de espírito com os humildes do que repartir o despojo com os soberbos. 20 O que atenta para o ensino acha o bem, e o que confia no SENHOR, esse é feliz. 21 O sábio de coração é chamado prudente, e a doçura no falar aumenta o saber. 22 O entendimento, para aqueles que o possuem, é fonte de vida; mas, para o insensato, a sua estultícia lhe é castigo. 23 O coração do sábio é mestre de sua boca e aumenta a persuasão nos seus lábios. 24 Palavras agradáveis são como favo de mel: doces para a alma e medicina para o corpo. 25 Há caminho que parece direito ao homem, mas afinal são caminhos de morte. 26 A fome do trabalhador o faz trabalhar, porque a sua boca a isso o incita. 27 O homem depravado cava o mal, e nos seus lábios há como que fogo ardente. 28 O homem perverso espalha contendas, e o difamador separa os maiores amigos. 29 O homem violento alicia o seu companheiro e guia-o por um caminho que não é bom. 30 Quem fecha os olhos imagina o mal, e, quando morde os lábios, o executa. 31 Coroa de honra são as cãs, quando se acham no caminho da justiça. 32 Melhor é o longânimo do que o herói da guerra, e o que domina o seu espírito, do que o que toma uma cidade. 33 A sorte se lança no regaço, mas do SENHOR procede toda decisão. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦  16 The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the Lord. 2 All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the Lord weigheth the spirits. 3 Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established. 4 The Lord hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil. 5 Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished. 6 By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil. 7 When a man's ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him. 8 Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right. 9 A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps. 10 A divine sentence is in the lips of the king: his mouth transgresseth not in judgment. 11 A just weight and balance are the Lord's: all the weights of the bag are his work. 12 It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness. 13 Righteous lips are the delight of kings; and they love him that speaketh right. 14 The wrath of a king is as messengers of death: but a wise man will pacify it. 15 In the light of the king's countenance is life; and his favour is as a cloud of the latter rain. 16 How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver! 17 The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul. 18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. 19 Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud. 20 He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the Lord, happy is he. 21 The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning. 22 Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that hath it: but the instruction of fools is folly. 23 The heart of the wise teacheth his mouth, and addeth learning to his lips. 24 Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. 25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. 26 He that laboureth laboureth for himself; for his mouth craveth it of him. 27 An ungodly man diggeth up evil: and in his lips there is as a burning fire. 28 A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends. 29 A violent man enticeth his neighbour, and leadeth him into the way that is not good. 30 He shutteth his eyes to devise froward things: moving his lips he bringeth evil to pass. 31 The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness. 32 He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. 33 The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the Lord. ..... ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦
